{"id":167262,"date":"2016-09-06T12:11:38","date_gmt":"2016-09-06T06:41:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?p=167262"},"modified":"2016-09-06T12:11:38","modified_gmt":"2016-09-06T06:41:38","slug":"foreign-experts-say-cctv-footage-of-thajudeen-killing-unclear","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/index.php\/foreign-experts-say-cctv-footage-of-thajudeen-killing-unclear\/","title":{"rendered":"Foreign Experts Say CCTV Footage Of Thajudeen Killing Unclear"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In a new development which can affect the progress of the investigation into the murder of ruggerite <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?s=Wasim+Thajudeen&amp;x=7&amp;y=8\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Wasim Thajudeen<\/span><\/a>, the British Columbia Society of Laboratory Science has ruled that the CCTV footage of the killing is unclear hence they are unable to reach a conclusion over the murder.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Wasim_Thajudeen_J.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-148736\" src=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Wasim_Thajudeen_J-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Wasim_Thajudeen_J\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Wasim_Thajudeen_J-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Wasim_Thajudeen_J-50x50.jpg 50w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>CID which submitted the report to the court said that the British Columbia Society of Laboratory Science in Canada had said that due to the low resolution and low pixels of the video footage they are unable to make any determination over the incident.<\/p>\n<p>Two officers from the CID had visited the Canadian laboratory during August with the footage to obtain expert opinion after local experts also said they too were unable to make a ruling on the footage due to low resolution of the camera footage.<\/p>\n<p>Former DIG Anura Senanayake and ex-OIC of the Narahenpita Police Sumith Perera are currently in remand custody for concealing information pertaining to the murder.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p> [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":22,"featured_media":148736,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[3,1,2375],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-167262","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-colombotelegraph","category-news","category-stories"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.3 -
