Meanwhile, the lawyers of Ratwatta and the four other board members have also filed written bail applications.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_167624\" style=\"width: 160px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Chanuka-Ratwatte-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-167624\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-167624\" src=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Chanuka-Ratwatte-1-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Chanuka\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Chanuka-Ratwatte-1-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Chanuka-Ratwatte-1-50x50.jpg 50w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-167624\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Chanuka<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Apart from Ratwatte, the other four board members who were further remanded were Dharmapriya Bandara Dasanayake, Romesha Dushanthi Senarath, Sanjeewa Dayaratne and Niroshan Mendis. They have been charged under Sections 5(3) and 8(3) of the Public Property Act and Section 386 of the Penal Code.<\/p>\n<p>Ratwatte and the four others were arrested by the Financial Crimes Investigation Division on September 14 for allegedly swindling billions of rupees.
