{"id":173682,"date":"2017-02-08T00:00:28","date_gmt":"2017-02-07T18:30:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?p=173682"},"modified":"2017-02-08T02:55:24","modified_gmt":"2017-02-07T21:25:24","slug":"srilankan-airlines-unlicensed-cabin-crew-on-pia-flight-intercepted-by-raf-fighter-jets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/index.php\/srilankan-airlines-unlicensed-cabin-crew-on-pia-flight-intercepted-by-raf-fighter-jets\/","title":{"rendered":"SriLankan Airlines&#8217; Unlicensed Cabin Crew On PIA Flight Intercepted By RAF Fighter Jets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?s=SriLankan+Airlines&amp;x=8&amp;y=6\">SriLankan Airlines<\/a> wet leased aircraft operated by its own pilots and cabin crew and used by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?s=Pakistan+International+Airlines&amp;x=8&amp;y=8\">Pakistan International Airlines<\/a> to fly from Lahore to London Heathrow, was intercepted by RAF typhoon fighter jets and forced to land at Stansted Airport, after an anonymous phone call had been received regarding a security issue yesterday.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Jet.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-173683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Jet-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Jet-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Jet-50x50.jpg 50w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>A Pakistani man wanted by the UK Metropolitan Police was reported to have been escorted off the aircraft after it landed.<\/p>\n<p>The SriLankan Airlines aircraft 4R ALN used for this operation by PIA, was flown by SriLankan Airlines Capt.
