According to the officially revealed voter numbers, NASA, the main opposition coalition, has received a serious head start over Uhuru Kenyatta’s ruling Jubilee party.<\/p>\n

As\u00a0Tuko\u00a0informs, NASA has already got over nine million votes. The President’s party has almost seven million. Kenya Election will take place on\u00a0August 8, 2017.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Last week the Kenyan electoral commission released the official number of who can vote in the upcoming election. Therefore, over 19,610,000 voters can vote during the\u00a0Kenya Election<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jubilee party has sixteen counties drawn mostly the President and his Deputy William Ruto\u2019s backyards of the Rift Valley and Central Kenya. The amount of all registered voters also shows that Kiambu and Nairobi top list of electors at 2.26 million and 1.19 million correspondingly. On the other hand, the opposition can contentedly lay claim to 24 counties from the 47 Kenyan counties.<\/p>\n

NASA has five key principals. They control a large support base from Nyanza, Western Kenya, Eastern and the Coast region. All counties totally have over 9, 448,000 votes, assuming the voter turn-out would be above 90% minimum. These votes will be enough for Raila Odinga to win the elections.<\/p>\n

The Constitution of Kenya declares that a candidate will be acknowledged elected as President if he\/she gets minimum 25% of all votes cast in 24 counties.<\/p>\n

According to statistics, Jubilee party will win in such counties as Baringo, Nakuru, Kiambu, Meru, Murang\u2019a, Kericho, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Nyandarua, Elgeyo Marakwet, Bomet, Nandi, Embu, Laikipia, Tharaka Nithi, and Uasin Gishu.<\/p>\n

If the turnout is minimum 90%, the current president will have to receive the considerable part of votes from swinging counties. These are Nairobi (over 2,251,000 voters), Marsabit (almost 142,000), Tana River (118,400), Samburu (almost 83,000), Isiolo (75,400), and Lamu (almost 70,000).<\/p>\n
