They money apparently had been given to various officials in the President\u2019s office.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018These include cheques issued by the \u201cChina Harbour company\u201d. The special investigation unit of the Police has submitted relevant documents to the Attorney General\u2019s office. Investigations continue under the supervision of Deputy Solicitor General Yasantha Kodagoda and have not stopped,\u2019 Wickremesinghe said.<\/p>\n<p>Wickremesinghe further said that the Central Bank had sent cheques from Standard Chartered Bank to the CID in 2015 for examination and that the CID is still conducting investigations.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018There is evidence in some cases and evidence had not yet surfaced in others.
