The Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka has recommended Finance and Media Minister Mangala Samaraweera to allocate funds in the next budget to make state buildings accessible to persons with disabilities.<\/p>\n

In a letter to the Finance and Media Minister, Chairperson of Human Rights Commission, Dr.Deepika Udugama<\/strong><\/a> says Article 14 (1) (h) of the Constitution guarantees the freedom of movement while Article 12 (4) of the Constitution makes provisions for special measures to be taken for the advancement of people with disabilities.<\/p>\n
