For such blatant vitriol against Muslims, fanning the growing unfounded paranoias about the Muslims &#8211; he remains untouched; no charges have yet been brought against the Asigiri Chief prelate for violating the ICCPR Act.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/P7AVLSm2I_A\" width=\"900\" height=\"500\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?s=anti-Muslim\"><strong>anti-Muslim<\/strong><\/a> speech delivered on Sunday in the presence of UNP MP Mayantha Dissanayake, Gnanarathana thera makes a shameful display of hate towards Muslims &#8211; spewing words that completely violate the very non-violent principles Buddhism stands for.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMayantha here was talking earlier about how Muslims shouldn\u2019t be sidelined\u2026 But even I will say now, don\u2019t go to these Muslim owned shops, dont\u2019 consume the food they offer,\u201d the Asgiri Chief prelate said while adding, \u201cThe Muslims don\u2019t love us [Sinhalese]\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He goes on to state that it is a well known fact that Muslims have poisoned \u2018our people\u2019 [Sinhalese] and that they have been plotting to destroy \u2018our people\u2019. The thera says therefore it is of paramount importance that Buddhists protect themselves.<\/p>\n<p>Further egging on the growing Islamophobia, this monk representing one of the highest orders of the Buddha Shasana in Sri Lanka, also implies he believes the younger generation will be infertile due to frequenting Muslim owned eateries.<\/p>\n<p>He also speaks of the sterilization rumours &#8211; adds fuel to the fire. He speaks of a Doctor from Matale who destroyed hundreds and thousands of \u2018our children\u2019. The thera is most likely referring to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?s=Shafi\"><strong>Dr. Shafi<\/strong><\/a> from Kurunegala who now appears to have been falsely accused of sterilizing Sinhala women.<\/p>\n<p>The thera says such \u2018traitors\u2019 must not be left in peace.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI overheard some Upaasaka Ammas here speaking of how these doctors must be stoned to death. . .
