SLPP politico – Wennappuwa Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman Susantha Perera<\/span><\/strong><\/a> is under fire for his move to temporarily ban Muslim vendors<\/span><\/strong><\/a> from doing business at the Dankotuwa weekly fair. The Marawila Magistrate has issued notice on Perera to appear before Magistrate Court on Friday to show cause, failing which, he would face action for inciting racial hatred.<\/p>\n

In a commendable move,the Police had taken prompt action to immediately lift the ban and assure about the dozens of Muslim vendors the ban won’t affect their business activities.<\/p>\n
