Earlier in the day, BCCI termed the alleged spot-fixing scandal in the Indian Premier\u00a0League and\u00a0other domestic competitions as &#8220;disturbing&#8221; and said it would take strict action against those found guilty of indulging in corrupt practices. &#8220;The footage that was shown by the television channel was very disturbing,&#8221; BCCI chief admisnistrative officer Ratnakar Shetty said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There has been an immediate action proposed by the BCCI president, and strong action will be taken against those found to be guilty,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p>The alleged spot-fixing scandal in the IPL had its echo in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday with members seeking a high-level probe into match fixing charges and the way in which blackmoney was coming into play in it.<\/p>\n<p>The matter was raised during Zero Hour by Samajwadi Party member Shailendra Kumar and supported by former cricketer Kirti Azad of the BJP<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p> [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":22,"featured_media":41427,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[43,3,2201],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-41426","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-anti-corruption","category-colombotelegraph","category-from-foreign-media"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.3 -
