{"id":43922,"date":"2012-06-04T11:05:15","date_gmt":"2012-06-04T11:05:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?p=43922"},"modified":"2012-06-04T11:05:15","modified_gmt":"2012-06-04T11:05:15","slug":"4-pakistani-women-killed-for-dance-with-men","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/index.php\/4-pakistani-women-killed-for-dance-with-men\/","title":{"rendered":"4 Pakistani Women Killed For Dance With Men"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PTI\/ Four\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/topic\/Women\">women<\/a>\u00a0condemned to<a href=\"http:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/topic\/Death-(musician)\">death<\/a>\u00a0by a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/topic\/tribal-jirga\">tribal jirga<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/topic\/council\">council<\/a>\u00a0for\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/topic\/dancing\">dancing<\/a>\u00a0and<a href=\"http:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/topic\/singing\">singing<\/a>\u00a0with men at a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/topic\/wedding\">wedding<\/a>\u00a0in\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/topic\/northern-Pakistan\">northern Pakistan<\/a>\u00a0have been killed, TV news channels reported on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/index.php\/4-pakistani-women-killed-for-dance-with-men\/pakistan\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-43942\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-43942\" title=\"Pakistan\" src=\"http:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Pakistan-300x187.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"187\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Pakistan-300x187.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Pakistan.jpg 620w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>However, senior officials refuted the news reports and described them as baseless. Interior minister\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/topic\/Rehman-Malik\">Rehman Malik<\/a>\u00a0ordered a judicial inquiry into the reported killings.<\/p>\n<p>There was confusion about the number of women reportedly killed. Geo News channel reported that four women were killed while The Express Tribune reported on its website that five women were killed. The fifth woman was the sister of one the women , the report said.<\/p>\n<p>A jirga in Kohistan had also condemned to death the two men in the mobile phone video.
