{"id":47015,"date":"2012-07-04T08:28:51","date_gmt":"2012-07-04T08:28:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?p=47015"},"modified":"2012-07-04T08:28:51","modified_gmt":"2012-07-04T08:28:51","slug":"transferred-ltte-suspect-died-in-hospital","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/index.php\/transferred-ltte-suspect-died-in-hospital\/","title":{"rendered":"Transferred LTTE Suspect Died In Hospital"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Colombo Telegraph &#8211;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A LTTE suspect, who was transferred from the Vavuniya prison to the Mahara prison following the turmoil at the Vavuniya prison, has died today.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/index.php\/transferred-ltte-suspect-died-in-hospital\/vavuniya_prison01\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-47016\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-47016 alignright\" title=\"Vavuniya_prison01\" src=\"http:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/Vavuniya_prison01-300x257.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"257\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/Vavuniya_prison01-300x257.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/Vavuniya_prison01.jpg 620w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The 29 year old inmate, named Ruban, had been charged for his alleged involvement with the LTTE.<\/p>\n<p>He was receiving medical treatments at the Prison hospital for a fractured arm but later he was transferred to the Colombo North Teaching Hospital following a breathing difficulty.<\/p>\n<p>In the aftermath of the turmoil at the Vavuniya prison, 28 inmates were transferred to the Mahara Prison by the Department of Prisons.
