He described the killing, the first of a US ambassador since 1979, as &#8220;outrageous and shocking&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Crucially, though, the president made it clear that the US would work alongside the Libyan government to track down those responsible and would not be turning its back on the Arab spring in\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?s=Libya&amp;x=6&amp;y=5\">Libya<\/a><\/span>\u00a0or elsewhere in the Middle East.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This attack will not break the bonds between the\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?s=United+States&amp;x=11&amp;y=1\">United States<\/a><\/span>\u00a0and Libya,&#8221;
