I dream of a country;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

where the soothing breeze may kiss my face with all its true candor,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

a breeze that shall pacify the frames of a thousand shattered lives,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

perhaps even more – tens of thousands so dear,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

lives crushed by myriad jingoists of the hour,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

and that breeze, I dream to have never seen,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

the two-faced, unmindful culprits insincere,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

the ones who have wounded every notion of humanity, through the fa\u00e7ade of command,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

seeming to continue their filthy drive, till they suck every bit of gore,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

leaving the everyday-citizen, in the dark, as a sheer skeleton bone,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I dream such dominants to vanish, into mere thin overhead air,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

but also worry, their malice may loam, once a clean and comforting midair.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I dream of a country;<\/span><\/p>\n

where the trees of coconut, booming bunches of yield,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

forming arcs that aim the briny blue sea,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

such contours and dimensions of nature\u2019s flair,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

as they swing to and fro, swiping the water\u2019s rim,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

to croon the melodies of ten-thousands of tales,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

indescribable, concealed, conveniently wrapped-up in an era bygone,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

in the least, I dream for the saplings to remain,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

holding witness to unsettled spiteful mortal pain.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I dream of a country;<\/span><\/p>\n

where the golden fields of paddy shall behold – with its cumbersome grains impregnated and bold,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

the tales of gloom, of thy farmers jinxed and sore – with no names, no titles, no revenue, no homes,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

their spouses and daughters, sons, kith and kin – the inheritors of this curse, a livelihood deficient in gains,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

with no retort for them to even dimly sustain,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

yes, in a country as such, I dream and I dream,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

for the fields to chant loud, let thy voices echo,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

to the bearers of office, till their lobes would explode \u2013 till their guilt may galore,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

the tales of those who gave life,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

to the field\u2019s grandeur,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

now, the same fields of paddy, that saw sunshine in their grower\u2019s hands,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

brazenly confined to a pictorial backdrop,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

of a movie, a visual in goggle-box – God only knows,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

while the farmer\u2019s retort remain suicidal thoughts,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

as the grains go rotten inside dripping carryalls,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I dream for this shocking plight of the provider of our diet – to be swiftly reformed,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

before more suicides are caught,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

the sharecropper who should otherwise be festooned by us all.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I dream of a country;<\/span><\/p>\n

where no goons shall disrupt amity, by applying their kangaroo law,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

for simply being \u2018minister-sons\u2019 of identical louts \u2013 trading drugs at midnight galore,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

with a \u2018shameless citizen\u2019, the so-called \u2018First\u2019 \u2013 brazenly flouting these nauseating flaws,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

for, all in all their closets rattle loud, with the skeletons of tainted eons,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

yet the voters they take for repeated fleeting\u00a0\u2018joy-rides\u2019 \u2013 with assured potential and more,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

for a moment I wonder \u2013 are people stupid to the core,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

or are they helpless in treacherous claws ?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

having to stomach gobbledygook by the ones in command – the dumbest we\u2019ve seen in spans,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I dream of such goons, disgusting to the core, vaporize with no trace at all,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

yes, the ones never stepped-in, or ever seen a board, or a wall of a school, yet though,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

has taken the country to their hands of foul, dictating terms on edified souls,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I dream of an era, like the fresh morning dew,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

where such scandalous rogues shall take the place fit for them souls,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

if at all they are worth to be borne on the earth,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

of an island that once stood tall.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I dream of a country;<\/span><\/p>\n

where the people aren\u2019t misled,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

constantly, in prolonged frames in time,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

disguising the horror of billions and trillions – in loans by the global-wide sharks,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

with the mask of development vehemently robed – in the minds of lesser-informed folks,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

while the reality is certainly not the case of building – but drowning the island evermore,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

until the nation in complete, shall be mortgaged away – to the snoops as their tactics may triumph,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

in no time the hegemony would vanish away – with their commissions too heavy to carry away,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

while the blameless natives, the average ones – will take much longer to even grasp the jigsaw,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I dream of a country where double-dealing as such,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

shall never witness daylight, let alone the calm shades of night.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I dream of a country;<\/span><\/p>\n

where rights may exist,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

at least the rudimentary kind,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

for its citizenry to be,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

always well-informed,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

with the right to enquiry,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

of those liable folks,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

where \u2018truth-discoursed-media\u2019 is a much cherished source,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

not a throng with bogus labels forced,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

as \u2018traitors\u2019, by the oppressive force.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I dream, I dream and I dream a stiff dream,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

for a country where critics – considered no threat to the throne,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

but a national mammon, a pertinent dais,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

where truth shall unveil, with no fear of slashed throats,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

in-spite-of grave stances \u2013 where boldness galore,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

a place where a journalist could roam with no mourns,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

a place free to condemn mishaps of powerful blokes,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

yet not be murdered on the street as morning may approach.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I dream of a country;<\/span><\/p>\n

where \u2018human rights\u2019 hold, a vital and central need,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

not confined to a certain breed,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

omitted from another cast or creed,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

where a\/c rooms fill with bottomless greed,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

been a spectacle to make ends meet,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

but rather an executed essential tool,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

where everyone abide by the rules,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

a uniform notion being put into place,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

and no \u2018effective\u2019 may slip through loopholes,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

where no one is above the law.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I dream of a country;<\/span><\/p>\n

where women\u2019s rights soar,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

not as reason for revel, when a rape is been caused,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

when child abuse, whippings, domestic violence upsurge,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

cozy chambers get filled of red-lipstick-womenfolk,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

they call themselves \u2018activists\u2019, for the voiceless as they say,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

yet, they only target their own schemata and fame,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

in a day or two, a week, a month or so,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

no one stands-up for the needy, the victims abandoned,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

and no longer known,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

so-called activists disappear like hasty clouds caught in gust,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

notions as such should be condemned to the core,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

while I dream of a country, where all rights are preserved,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

would it be human rights, women\u2019s right, children\u2019s rights or other.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I dream, I dream and I dream through the night,<\/span><\/p>\n

sometimes in daylight, with constant delight,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

yearning for a country, I could call by its name,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

with pride, with drive, with sensation – not disgrace,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

not a \u2018madhouse\u2019 of abundant dishonorable fakes,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

those who have already shattered a huge stake,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I dream that someone would keep a giant step,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

to save my country from these imps with no shame,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

the cold-blooded murderers who have taken control,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

of every inch possible, every shrub, every stone.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I dream of a country;<\/span><\/p>\n

a country I could call my own and with pride,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

where freedom does not limit to a war-less somnolent night,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

but a place where freedom to be human shall reside,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

to speak, to sleep, to eat and even daydream,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

without belts tightened, and no throats dreadfully squeezed,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

but where wrongdoers end up, as convicts locked-up,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

not the victims ridiculed, as the felons hop, being freed,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

such are my dreams of a country yet to be freed.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
