Three Sri Lankan umpires Gamini Dissanayake, Maurice Winston and Sagara Gallage in trouble after Indian TV reveals umpiring fixing.<\/strong>\u00a0In a major sting operation carried out in July, August and September ahead of the recently concluded ICC World Cup T20 tournament, India TV undercover reporters exposed six ICC umpires, belonging to Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh, willing to fix matches for money during T20 matches.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sagara Gallage<\/p><\/div>\n

Sri Lankan\u2019s premier panel umpire Maurice Winston Dela Zilwa\u2019s name was recommended by another Sri Lankan umpire Sagara Galade to the India TV undercover reporter. For the crucial T20 world cup match on Sept 17 between Australia and England, Maurice Winston shared the pitch report, toss report and playing elevens of both teams and demanded Rs 50,000 bribe. He agreed to take the entire amount in \u2018black\u2019.\u00a0Sri Lankan umpire Gamini Dissanayake went a step ahead. On camera, he promised to \u2018revolt\u2019 againt Sri Lankan cricket if given a handsome amount. Gamini told the uncercover India TV reporter that by providing liquor and picnic to Sri Lankan Cricket Board officials, one can get any work done. Gamini\u2019s name was mentioned by Maurice Winston.<\/p>\n

Gamini Dissanayake<\/p><\/div>\n

He is the same guy who had also helped us in SLPL league, semifinal and the final matches by charging 15,000 Indian currencies.<\/p>\n

The Sri Lankan umpire has agreed to favour us on five fronts, in an India-Pak T20 world cup, warm up game on 17th of September 2012. The umpire has officiated that match as the fourth umpire in that match.<\/p>\n

He asked Rs.50, 000 for this favour (Rs 1 lakh in Sri Lankan currency). And he has given us pitch information, weather information; toss report, playing elevens of both the teams.<\/p>\n

He promised that in case of any kind of dispute in that match, he will manage match referee and other match officials, to give judgment in our players\u2019 favour.<\/p>\n

All this information he will provide to India TV, before the match goes live on Television.<\/p>\n
