The Chief Justice, the Judiciary and the lawyers who have fearlessly come forward to protect the independence of the Judiciary have often been targeted by these vicious attacks.&#8221; says the\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?s=Lawyers+Collective&amp;x=8&amp;y=5\">Lawyers Collective<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The contents of these publications and broadcasts are defamatory and contemptuous and obviously intended to mislead the public. This is a calculated move to intimidate the Chief Justice, the Judiciary and the lawyers who have declined to bow down to pressure. We assure the public that there is no division among all independent \u00a0lawyers \u00a0on the Impeachment , though the \u00a0state propaganda machinery\u00a0 makes all efforts to damage \u00a0the solidarity and unity among the lawyers.&#8221;
