We ask the Canadian government to urge the Sri Lankan President, before January 8, to reconsider the current impeachment proceedings and, longer term, to adopt a judicial impeachment process which serves to strengthen the rule of law and administration of justice. We would be pleased to assist you in this regard in any way possible. \u201c the president of the Canadian Bar <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cba.org\/CBA\/about\/main\/\">Robert C.
