{"id":67582,"date":"2013-01-03T06:09:24","date_gmt":"2013-01-03T06:09:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?p=67582"},"modified":"2013-01-08T23:34:34","modified_gmt":"2013-01-08T23:34:34","slug":"breaking-news-standing-order-is-not-law-court-of-appeal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/index.php\/breaking-news-standing-order-is-not-law-court-of-appeal\/","title":{"rendered":"Breaking News: Standing Order Is Not Law &#8211;  Court of Appeal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/\">Colombo Telegraph<\/a><\/span> &#8211;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Court of Appeal\u00a0today\u00a0delivering\u00a0the judgement says standing order is not law.\u00a0Parliament Select Committee (PSC) has no legal authority to inquire into allegations on CJ\u00a0Court of Appeal said.<\/p>\n<p>An application for Writ of Prohibition was filed by former Ceylon Chamber of Commerce Chairman and \u00a0a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK, a former President of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and LMD Sri Lankan of the year 2001\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?s=Chandra+Jayaratne&amp;x=8&amp;y=4\">Chandra Jayaratne<\/a><\/span>. K.
