The Senate is now headed by Ms. Usha Sriskantharajah. He was the leader of the Labour Party in the European Parliament and had worked in various committees, holding positions such as the Vice Chairman of Committee on the Rules of Procedure, the Verification of Credentials and Immunities and Vice-Chairman of Committee on Citizens&#8217; Freedoms and Rights, Justice and Home Affairs.
