In this application Petitioner states that the Submission made by his Counsel to the Court that the Supreme Judge <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?s=Sathya+Hettige&amp;x=5&amp;y=4\">Hettige<\/a><\/span> had been reported by the Counsel for abuse of office of the Supreme Court Judge to the Chief Justice Dr <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?s=Shirani+Bandaranayake&amp;x=5&amp;y=6\">Shirani Bandaranayake<\/a><\/span> and therefore, Hettige Judge\u2019s taking part at the hearing was strenuously objected by his Counsel, but his Counsel\u2019s submission were plainly disregarded by the Bench of two Judges headed by Hettige Judge himself\u00a0and leave to proceed for his rights violation petition was refused without granting him fair trial also punished him with an order granting cost claim made by the Respondent Dockyard Ltd.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_71793\" style=\"width: 277px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/index.php\/update-the-case-against-mohan-pieris-misconduct-pieris-himself-chaired-the-bench\/mohan-pieris-8\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-71793\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-71793\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-71793\" title=\"Mohan Pieris\" src=\"http:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Mohan-Pieris4-267x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"267\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Mohan-Pieris4-267x300.jpg 267w, https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Mohan-Pieris4.jpg 611w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 267px) 100vw, 267px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-71793\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Mohan Pieris<\/p><\/div>\n<p>In this case the Petitioner challenge the alleged dishonesty and gross misconduct of the 7th Respondent, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?s=Mohan+Pieris&amp;x=14&amp;y=6\">Mohan Pieris<\/a><\/span>, the then Attorney General who had abuse his office to facilitate misappropriation 619 million rupees of public funds by the 6th Respondent, Colombo Dockyard Ltd, and requests a five Judge bench to hear this case, considering\u00a0the public importance of this case.<\/p>\n<p>The Petitioner states in his application to the Court that the Respondents, Attorney General and the Dockyard Ltd have evaded the presenting of this case for 19 occasions, since September 2010, and Colombo Telegraph learned that Respondent Colombo Dockyard has again filed a motion informing the Court that the date fixed for the case is\u00a0not suitable for them and hence requesting the postponement of the matter.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p> [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":22,"featured_media":71793,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[3,2187,1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-75088","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-colombotelegraph","category-most-popular","category-news"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.3 -
