{"id":75342,"date":"2013-02-27T18:15:05","date_gmt":"2013-02-27T18:15:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?p=75342"},"modified":"2013-03-07T09:23:34","modified_gmt":"2013-03-07T09:23:34","slug":"breaking-news-uk-tamil-refugees-removal-orders-overturned-by-judges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/index.php\/breaking-news-uk-tamil-refugees-removal-orders-overturned-by-judges\/","title":{"rendered":"Breaking News: No Failed Tamil Asylum Seeker Can Be Removed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/\">Colombo Telegraph<\/a><\/span> &#8211;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Scores of Sri Lankans, due to have been deported from the UK on a government charter flight on\u00a0Thursday , have had their removal orders overturned by high court judges, a short while ago.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>High Court has held that no Tamil Asylum seeker can be removed by Charter flight\u00a0tomorrow. Home Office is appealing the matter to Court of Appeal.<\/p>\n<p>In a landmark ruling, the High Court have issued an order staying the removal of ALL Tamil failed asylum seekers, who are to be removed on a UKBA charter flight to Sri Lanka at 1600hrs tomorrow, pending the Upper Tribunal&#8217;s Country Guidance case concerning the risk on return to Sri Lanka.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">Mr Justice Wilkie sitting with Judge Gleeson stated &#8221; in my judgment the situation which is presented to the Court today, is virtually unique.
