Fifteen petitions were filed in the Supreme Courts on Thursday challenging the constitutionality of 11 of the Bills tabled in\u00a0parliament\u00a0last Friday. We give below the text of several Petitions filed in the Supreme Court challenging the load of Bills suddenly sought to be passed by the Government.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The challenged Bills are;\u00a0Strategic Development Projects (Amendment),\u00a0Betting and Gaming Levy (Amendment),Nation Building Tax (Amendment),Fiscal Management (Responsibility) (Amendment),Finance,\u00a0Value Added Tax (Amendment),\u00a0\u00a0Inland Revenue (Amendment),\u00a0Notaries (Amendment),\u00a0Powers of Attorney (Amendment),\u00a0Registration of Documents (Amendment) and\u00a0Tax Appeals Commission (Amendment).\u00a021 Bills were\u00a0presented 8th Friday.<\/p>\n
