\nBuddha, Dhamma and Sangha
\nAre simply worldly currents
\nThey are not

To see things as they are
\nYou have to get into
\nNo man\u2019s land
\nBecome nobody
\nNot another becoming, but
\nThe end of all trips
\nGiving up your last possession
\nTo regain your true identity
\nThis is our original state
\nThe \u2018state\u2019 we lost
\nThe nation we lost
\nThe religion we lost
\nThe independence we lost<\/p>\n

All our problems are other human beings;
\nAll our solutions, External Gods
\nFrom condoms and net nannys to facebook, twitter
\nHuman rights and all other mod cons right down to
\nBuddha and beyond \u2013
\nEach and every one of those is an External God.
\nExternal because they are separate from us and
\nGods because they are absolutes we take refuge in.
\nThese are Gods that save us from
\nThe bother, of taking responsibility for our own lives<\/p>\n

Hide your emptiness
\nWith statues and flags
\nSymbols and words
\nBe a Buddhist
\nDon\u2019t ever let go<\/p>\n

Hide your emptiness
\nWith knowledge and conventions
\nTechnical jargon
\nStand up for human rights
\nDon\u2019t ever sit down<\/p>\n

Both of you are empty
\nAs the road to Mars
\nYour fight is a dream
\nWake up! Wake up!
\nSay this prayer
\nYou to me are everything
\nYou to me are nothing
\nLove is everything
\nWisdom nothing

Darkness
\nBrings its own Gods
