Arjuna Mahendran Affair: An Open Letter To The Prime Minister Of Singapore

By Rusiripala Tennakoon –

Rusiripala Tennakoon

Quote – “International covenant on civil and political rights in force from March 1976 (Part II Article 15.2) of the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights” states as follows:

“Nothing in this article shall prejudice the trial and punishment of any person for any act or omission which, at the time when it was committed, was criminal according to the general principles of law recognized by the community of nations”

25th May, 2018

His Excellency Lee Hsien Loong
Prime Minister of Singapore
PMO – The Istana
Singapore

Your Excellency

We are writing to you today as citizens of a neighbouring country maintaining extremely cordial and friendly relations with Singapore, ever since Singapore was born as a new country.

Our two countries are bonded together as members of the Commonwealth of Nations through the Commonwealth Secretariat and are committed to operate with inter-governmental consensus of the member states of the Commonwealth. We recall and hold with esteem respect and honour our admirations towards the first Prime Minister of Singapore, Late Lee Kuan Yew, as a leading political figure in the region with outstanding achievements, accepted with open doors to any government anywhere in the world. We recollect with gratitude his extremely friendly attitude displayed towards our country throughout the tenure of his office as the Prime Minister.

Your Excellency, a few years ago one of your citizens, (formerly a citizen of Sri Lanka) was invited by our Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, to head a leading government institution of our country. His name is Luxman Arjuna Mahendran and the institution he was invited to head was the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. Arjuna Mahendran was appointed, designated as the Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka in January, 2015.

Shortly thereafter, in February that year the news of a controversial Treasury Bond transaction broke out spreading shock waves in the economic circles of the country culminating into a public demand for an investigation by the authorities to divulge the true facts relating to the issue. Despite several futile attempts by some politicians to shield the matter, the Parliament of Sri Lanka decided to refer the case to be inquired into by the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE), a standing committee, of the Parliament.

In October 2015 COPE revealed that the Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka Arjuna Mahendran should be held responsible for the Bond Issue Scam and legal action should be initiated against him. However President Maithripala Sirisena announced the appointment of a Commission of Inquiry, under the existing Laws of Sri Lanka to further investigate the case.

This Bond Commission after protracted investigations and leading evidence of several persons including Governor Arjuna Mahendran and the Prime Minister Wickremasinghe, over a period of 10 months long deliberations, issued its report on 16th January, 2018. This is now a public document of the country.

The commission of inquiry has recommended the institution of legal action against those involved in the scam including Arjuna Mahendran. Accordingly the Attorney General of Sri Lanka has filed legal action and the courts have commenced the judicial process prosecuted by the Attorney Generals’ Department.

Two of the accused are in remand jail under Court orders and summons have been issued to Arjuna Mahendran to appear before Courts.

The legal authorities of the government have informed Courts that he could not be traced at the address given by him in Singapore to serve the Summons on him. Courts have now issued an open warrant to arrest him. Sri Lanka Police, it is reported, has sought the assistance of the Interpol to arrest him to be produced to courts for the judicial inquiry. Interpol’s Singapore branch has now informed Criminal Investigation Dept of Sri Lanka that Arjun Mahendran is in Singapore.

The Commission of Inquiry has pointed out interalia possibilities of conflict of interest and insider dealings associated with this scam. The country is waiting to see the wrong doers being dealt with according to law and to the recovery of several Billions of state funds squandered in the process of the scam.

The economy of the country is also in dire states. When the Bond Scam came to light the country was caught up in a huge debt trap. The position has been worsened many fold due to the scam.

Therefore, we appeal to you, as citizens of a friendly neighbouring country, to use your good office as a friendly gesture to help the authorities to arrest your citizen who is required here to face legal action of a fair trial in accordance with known recognized judicial norms assured by the Government of Sri Lanka under the guidance of our Prime Minister.

In the context of the most recently developed relations of the two nations to agree on trade policies to encourage travel related business, tourism, immigration and providing people with opportunities to enhance their mutual livelihood, your kind response to our earnest appeal would be appreciated whole-heartedly and passionately by the people of Sri Lanka.

Yours truly

Tennekone Rusiripala, A member of the team providing information to the commission of Inquiry

Rusiripala, please stop your stupid posturing to please Sinhala racist gallery. No country will just hand over its citizen just because an idiot like you send a letter. There has to be proper judicial inquiry before a credible bench, where defendant is well represented, and evidence placed to prove any offence. Sri Lanka judicial system is not only corrupt but is institutionally racist. Just because Tamils cannot get justice in Sri Lanka, you cannot kick about Tamil citizen of a foreign country. There is rule of law in Singapore unlike the kangaroo courts of Sri Lanka. You are invoking the declaration of UN Human Rights Council. It is the same council that conducted an inquiry and found that there is a prima facie case of war crimes committed by Sri Lanka security forces on non combatant Tamils. Will you recommend that all these war criminals be handed to stand trial at the Hague. You cannot have double standards and if you are one advocating such, then any inquiry in which you are involved cannot be called fair. Know your limits, and Singapore government response will put you in your place.

            Highly communal
            Ranges to fanatism
We have no interest in engaging in such topics

There is nothing communal or fanaticism in my statement unless you do not know the meaning of those words. Do not dodge your partiality when you have failed to question crimes committed by others notably Mahinda, Gotabaya and their acolytes as well as security forces. You do not want to engage in those topics because you want them covered up.

                Very right.

He does not know anything but Sirasa made him and other few as big personalities to attack RW.

I wonder when I was born or even whether I was born at all, at the rate people are trying to be like me. Great people have the problem of fans trying to imitate them. And that is my problem now.

So Edwin, you are just an Edwin fan who can never come close to real Edwin. Ha! Ha!

You don’t need an icon to recognize. The mastery of the language, the scathing humour and sarcasm tells it all.

A man who knows not the least about the size of problems that the country faces today – just due to mismanagement of former Musalaya Rajaapakshe, not jus tin financial sector but in many other areas but to go on saying that he would go against RW is just ridiculous.
I think we nee dto stand against BOND scam but also we must not forget higher crimes and handlings made by Ballige putha et al ( amounting 4000 billions).
A man who has been involving toilett enginging being caught by ME, talk high about himself. You have some smiliarties with that of DJ who is the selfproclaimed master of the day.

He is an islander and Dr Gota’s well wisher. He must have been reminiscing the practice of sending in a white van. That should solve his problem if you think about it.

            Dear Doc
Are you against the idea of this writers request to Singapore PM on the grounds the RW appointed Former Governor alleged chargers should be treated differently to others because of his ethnicity he is Tamil and because of injustices done to other Tamils?
For a so called educated man calling some one stupid and to advice some one his limitations you set your self as the higher authority and self importance.
I would think you may not like the title if some one calls you “Intellectual yet a idiot”
            Unless hat fits.
Singapore is been a safe haven for number of Sri Lankan politicians to get way when they are in big trouble usually in the guys of getting Medical treatment.
Times have changed from grate leader LKY’s time so I wouldn’t get huffed and puffed too much about the double standard’s alleged pilferer of hardworking public taxpayer money former Governor A.M. is very safe in Singapore after all other alleged former CB Governor N.C. never even set foot outside the country and now making a come back.
What is sadly amusing is support and compassion demand of justice for alleged Pilferer of hard working tax payer’s money on the grounds of injustices for one section of the people and failings of successive government’s failure to uphold the law.

              Leonard,
There should be a state procedure of dealing with such requests regarding alleged crimes and there is no need for an individual to make a request to Prime Minister of another country. I am sure the state has issued an arrest warrant through interpol. Mr. Rusiri appears to work for a Team that provides information for a commission of inquiry. I don’t know what authority he has to write to Singapore PM. At least, in the case of Arjuna, his son and the company involved in the alleged scam are within the country and the money lost can be recovered but in other cases even those alleged regarding the corruptions and the tax payers money lost under previous regime are not pursued or not worried is a symptom of what?

                Ajith
I presume R. Tennekoon is Sri Lankan tax paying citizen you can correct me on this if so he got the freedom to approach any leader of a sovereign country regarding their citizen born or naturalized and to make a complain.
Regarding last administration if you read my comment you would have notice I specifically address the issue of former Governor N.C.
My comment is not a political it is about right of a induvial freedom to opine how unpalatable it may be for you and other supporter’s of the M.S. R.W. unveiling coalition.
I see no difference in M.R & M.S. R.W. (to be honest R.W. is worst he was anointed as Mr. Clean) Cabral and Arajuna. in my opinion they are all in the same canoe.
What is amusing and at the same time so tragic is people trying to justify their favored politicians by insane arguments “But they looted first and much more”. I’m not naïve I very well understand political hacks show their allegiance for one solid outcome just like the politician’s that is!
What is in it for us.
Finally even to suggest that because of past wrong doings to certain group one should be given a pass is preposterous.
I hope if you agree with that sentiment next time if you driving and some Tamil induvial running in to your car and he is at fault you can shake hands and say to him “Don’t worry mate its all good Ill pay for your damages and buy you coffee as well because there is no justice for you in this country”

                Ajith,
i cant agree with you more.

Even if the kind of buggers continue to work for some group of their choice, they dont care about the kind of state level dealings.

As if this was the highest crime ever occured in this country, to go and complain this way is beyond all ethics and morals. I think there had been lot more BOND scam with the knowledge of this know-all SUSURI AND Wijewardhana occured during the high days of Mr Megalomaniac. Their these both were shut their both ends as so call powerful voices coming up today.
I think Susiripala shold better go and see in mirror who he is.
The kind of abusive men – that would do anything and everything for their perks is the curse to this country.
They are not able to check it twice before leap.
These are just personal attacks of the DJ nature who has always been crying against RW- but trying to be part of Killi sakkiliya Group that believe to have taken ground of the lanken politics today.
They sirasa has done some work with the change but they also abused today press freedom as like minded highly abusive DERANA and KUDU HIRU.
These are the levels of so called lanken interllectuals.
We simply have no such interllectuals in this country. Nor have we got experienced personalities.
I have no doubt, Spore govt would not even read the pvt letter sent by the vicious man, even if he may believe my god this would have been an impact.
No, we have been looted by Medamulana Musalaya as no others, but lanken press is in the same time being controlled by them. Unfortuantely, none of these being discussed by Pala group.
No good issues such as 19 Amendment and the press freedom and restore democracy of the country today are their topics.
Utterly disgusting.. these men DESTROY our future.
                For their pitty gains.

There is nothing wrong to write to anyone about any matter. Even if President of Sri Lanka writes, Singapore government will politely reply to him to follow the rule of law both nationally and internationally. In this case it is obvious that he is doing for his personal glory to portray himself as a champion of justice. When someone does things knowing well that it is not going to take him anywhere, it is not wrong to call him a fool. Where was he when Greek bond scam took place during the last regime. Is it because the culprit of that was a Sinhalese. Everyone who had committed crime must be punished. You cannot pick and choose to bring certain people to trial and covering up others. When it happens according to ethnic lines, it is an act of racial discrimination.

            • 1
              1

To call Singapore a safe haven to get away when there is big trouble is not quite correct. All those who went for treatment genuinely or not went there with the permission of Sri Lanka government, and when treatment was finished they had to return back. Times have not changed in Singapore and present government is upholding the principles and practices engrained by its founding father. They will never hide anyone who is proven guilty, unlike Dubai. You are unaware that Singapore was a centre for arms trade for several years done by government enterprises, but they took precautions that it is not sold locally. Singapore functioned like a business organisation from the start ignoring human rights concerns, and this is the reason for their success.

No one in their right mind opposes Citizen activism where the state fails to act in time and in good faith.
              However many oppose his hypocrisy.
There are other cases in which he could be useful and bit more active. The accused are still living in this island with impunity.

History gives many instances of your friends getting involved in highly crooked financial crimes
            Emil Soundranayagams
            Raj Rajaratnam
Are people who created history in financial crimes
Unfortunately the crime committed here under the RW regime was by a Mahendran
            What can Rusiripala do?
You talk as if he is the only person who exposed Mahendrans’ crime
            Shankar
            Try to b realistic
Your mind is poisoned with communal hatred
We are sorry that you use that hatred to run down people like Rusiripala
Your point that he did not expose Cabral should be dealt with because many others like you are using this silly argument
Why don’t you ask your Friend RW who reigned over 20 years as leader of opposition of the parliament of Sri Lanka when the culprits you are naming from the previous regime were robbing left and right
It is ridiculous for you to expect poor Rusiripala to do what your leader failed as th leader of opposition
Do you want us to believe that RW was playing a game jointly with Cabral s and Rajapakse s?!!
            Be careful man
Your rubbishy presentations invoke logical thinking in the minds of right thinking people!

Coming out with truth is not hatred. If you analyse correctly to find out how many Sinhalese have gone unpunished for their crimes and how many Tamils have not been brought to trial for their crime since independence, you will see the ethnic bias in the judicial system in Sri Lanka. Your reaction to truth being exposed to prove racial discrimination, makes you as the one with hatred.

          Yes, Rusiri,

but why was that you guys never raised the issues ranging to over 4000 billions – which allegedly have made by former Mafia boss Rajapakshe.

Why you men never raised it at the time, former CBG was in place.. there had been no legal entity to react for CENTRAL bank.:

You and others were kept silent by pouring millions to you or what went wrong at that time – can you please declare your assets please ?
We are against not Bank Scam onkly but also every high profile cases… that costed the govt/nation billions.

Your imagination should conceive that there was no commission against Udayanga
What he has committed is a bold crime
What Arjuna Mahendran has done is different
He has used his office and some instructions given to him by Prime Minister to commit a crime which has come to light after investigation
Please do not write silly remarks without getting your facts together
People will laugh but not tell you
        Regards

You, and others have completely misunderstood the point I was making. There was obviously no commission of inquiry into Udayanga Weeratunga. The point is that just because someone has committed a crime, that does not mean that YOU should have to write letters each and every time. I was taking your side against the comment made by Mudson but you didn’t realise it.

      • 2

        Taraki

“Was Mr Rusiripala a member of the team providing information to the Commission of Inquiry into Udayanga Weeratunga too?”

        Have you gone completely mad?
No he won’t because Udayanga Weeratunga is Mahinda’s crony and a Sinhala/Buddhist. How could he betray one of his own?

By the way according to Sunday times Sunday, May 27, 2018, “The US Department of Justice is moving to indict former Sri Lankan Ambassador Jaliya Wickremesuriya on money laundering charges, an authoritative source said”

You should send a few Sri Lankan judges to observe the entire proceedings. You cannot trust the US judges.

    • 9
      2

      Mudson,
I agree with you. Our honorable former defense secretary (USA citizen) is in this country who was involved in the MIG deal and it was our honorable former President who appointed him as a Srilankan envoy is in this country and he regularly meets Uthayanga in various countries is also in this country. Rusiri should tell us why there was no legal action against them. What is the point of writing to Singapore Prime Minister regarding Arjun when all these criminals are freely enjoy without fear.

      • 2
        2

I think you must ask your beloved authorities the exposure of whom looks worrying you why they are not dealing with those criminals whom you desire to be dealt with
If you think my writing about them will bring any good result I will do so to help the minds of people like you
You appear to have misunderstood my role
I am only talking about one thing at a time
I wish I could talk about all wishful things that you have in your mind
Please try sometimes to do it yourself without accusing and insulting others who at least try to do something

      • 1
        3

It is not me who has to explain why action has not been taken against the culprits whom you have mentioned
You better ask the people whom you appear to be worried for our criticism
When and if I get the authority someday I will deal with all to your satisfaction
Till then let us do what we can and should

    • 1
      3

      Forget sirasa and me
You write a letter yourself whom ever you think is appropriate
Let me enlighten you that Putin’s has nothing to do with udayanga
I have sufficiently exposed who Udayanga is many of my writings
I cannot help your limited exposures to information
      He is now in Dubai
You may address your earstwhile letter to Makhtum!
Only if you have the guts to do a thing like that
Don’t desicrate people who dare to face a risk and come forward when there are many who hide and only know to accuse people who do something for not doing more
Please think before you make comments like this
Many are reading and they form opinions unknown to you which will not bring any happiness if such are brought to your notice!

Hey Mudson .. you are dead right… really really.

Dear Lankans, I find it hilarious to see hundreds of comments arguing who is more corrupted?? who looted the most, how many houses are owned by Rajapaksa family/GR so on and so forth. The common sense says for a small country like Lanka the depth and impact is irreversible.Instead of comparing who is corrupted and who is not, the debates are more of who is more corrupted than other. I hear soon there is going to be version of Guinness book which will help in settling the matter for our readers. Recently Guinness book as rated the professions based on difficulty, challenge and effort to complete. And medicine was rated as number one . So do not worry guys the publication is gradually getting there and you will have the ratings soon.Good Luck.Cant wait to see the first edition.

      Rusiri dear,
Perhaps you would ask your patron Killi maharajah exactly why he pursues this vendetta against his relative Mahendran? Is it not related to a family matter?

        4

You appear to be harbouring a vandetta against me
I had many such during my trade union days
Many are still continuing under pseudo names
It is some kind of petty J
It is you who think I have something to do with Killy Maharaja
Let it b known cos you have chosen to say so publicly that I have nothing to do with Killy Maharaja except that my outspoken and direct view points found some accommodation in his channels with or without his influence which I am not aware .
Even if you had that ability I am sure you would have been accommodated
Please put a stop to your wishful thinking and slanderous statements against people like us who face lot of hardships in doing what we are doing
I am facing two defamation charges right now one for 5 billion from perpetual treasuries and Another for 500 million from people’s bank for exposing a deal involving digitalization
Accusations of the nature you are levelling against us are really helpful to the culprits and not to the right thinking people
I am unable to explain you about the relationship maharajas have with Mahendran cos I am not privy to such information
But please do not bring me into those equations
I use several media for your information to expose what I think is right to do so
You seem to b thinking that I only use maharaja media
I pity your ignorance and regret your insulting intentions

Mr. Rusiripala: If the then Late Mr. Lee Kuwan Yew was still holding on to the administration of Singapore, this “Criminal” Arujuna Mahendran would have taken leave of this planet, even before you dreamed of writing this letter to PM of Singapore, That Great Leader must be weeping from above all of us of seeing the destruction of Singapore by the present Leaders. That country is slowly and steadily becoming another “Safe Heaven” for swindlers from all over the world. Aren’t you aware of the latest evidence emerging in relation to the “Mig Deal” of “GOTA”? Who and what “Swindler” and “Bogus Co.” involved in that “Deal” or the “Robbery”? No one else a “Singaporean” and a “Non Entity” Singapore based Trading Agent. Read through the details of those “Findings” and get first hand information in relation to “Present” Singapore administration. Then next, go to YTUBE and rewind the TV discussion titled “Aluth Parlimenthuwa”, aired last Wednesday, and closely listen to the ideas expressed by the PC (President Counsel) one Mr. Nanaykkara of UNP. He admitted by explicit expression that he was directly involved in drafting that Singapore/Sri Lanka Trade Agreement the basis of it being the high achievements of Singapore. Next, just analyse the “Frequent” visits to Singapore by some of our own “Notorious” and “Well” known criminals to that country. The most recent “Permitted” by our courts is that of Mr. Thiran Allas on the pretext of “Medical Treatment”. I hope to see Emil Kanthan ( that missing man from the case against him and Allas) visiting to see Allas in “Hospital”. Do I have to remind you of the “Close” connections of Duminda Silva, Sajin Vas Gunawardane and of many more of our “VIPs” visits to Singapore? If you addressed your “Mind” intelligently to very “Few” cases I mentioned here, you would never have even “DREAMED” of writing this letter. For your understanding, Singapore has already entered the “RING” of “SWINDLERS” of that “GLOBAL ECONOMY” – “GOLIYA ARTHIKAYA” – another “MAFIA” institutionalized by “BIG POWERS” and their agents viz. World Bank, IMF, WTM etc. to gobble down the once named “3rd World” and now termed “Developing” countries.

Look at the pathetic state of Parliament and its guardians:

        Navi,
we dont talka bout ones beyond seas to be arrested while high criminals living in the country have been treated as gods even today.
Not even president in power has the audacity to raise questions as to why GOTABAYA and YOSHITA RAJAPAKSHE have not yet been arrested for two murder cases, Thadujdeen and Lasanth respectively.
With all the bits surface from hidden bins by date, Gota has been exercising impunity for some reasons.
He has been singing on public stages polishing his image to become the next president.
Srilanka will be an another IDIAMIN state if Gota would be elected by the gallery as we pulse today.

      Mr/Mrs Douglas
Thank you for educating me how to write and whom to write for any help
Next time when I ask for some help from someone I will first say you are a rogue you have done this and that
But I ask you this favour!
      Good lesson
I thought let Singapore be what it is
As the wanted culprit is now a Singapore citizen I thought an approach like this would be ok
To invoke interest on the matter and also to serve as an eye opener to the authorities here who appear to remain dumb about the issue
As you are aware those chaps who invited Mahendran to become the governor of CBSL are now dead silent when the fellow is evading arrest by a court of law for what he has done as governor
If you know a better way please write a letter your way
If you think we should keep quiet like those who sponsored Mahendran that may not happen
      Regards

Dear Rusiri, do not feign innocence. You were an employee of central bank when Greek bond scam took place. Have you ever voiced concern about that fraud. Is it because the accused of that fraud is a Sinhalese and the accused of this fraud is a Tamil. It is funny when the culprit of one fraud is roaming freely in Sri Lanka to write to another country to take action against another living in that country. This clearly proves your ethnic and political bias, and you should not be a part in any inquiry which demands utmost impartiality. It is time you call it a day to uphold justice.

        • 1
          3

Sorry Friend I do not grade or categorise crimes with a communal bias
For me a criminal or culprit is always so
If Mahendran was of sinhala origin I would have reacted same
I have written so much about Fellows like Udayanga but unfortunately in Sinhala which you don’t get a chance to read
Chum cast creed language and communal feelings are beyond me
          Thank you

            1

“Cast creed language and communal feelings are beyond me”. Please demonstrate it to champion the cause of Tamils to get justice in Sri Lanka. Tamils are still suffering under Sinhala terrorism while Sinhala criminals are walking free. When you are silent on all these and shouting out on a matter where the accused is a Tamil, anyone will conclude that you are ethnically biased.

Is it not Sirasa who forced you to raise only against RW ?

What a shame on you guys, you too seem to have been working for your pay masters.

Entire country is highly corrupted, why to poin the finger at only RW?
Why not you raised the question why Pres took time to react – he is EP of th ecountry. right ?
You seem to have a big mouth piece but not sure being crossed implanted since 2015, your behaviorus have been very biased.

You appear to be hell bound finding about other frauds to cover up or neutralise the effect of one fraud
          Try to treat each separately
If you know something about Greek bonds than what others know please let it out

Rusi, no need to write to the PM of Singapore to intervene. The law must take its course and Singapore has an excellent system of governance. Unlike SL where MPs and ministers take the law into their own hands and misinterpret it to suit their crooked desires telling the police not to take action when a criminal offense has been committed, I cannot see the Singapore PM taking any notice of your stupid request asking him to intervene. Get real man, understand what good governance is all about and what has f….d this country up is the interference in the judiciary and justice system by a bunch of crooked uneducated politicians and morons like you who need to get educated in ethics and values. Before going after Mahendran why the f…k is the government not arresting all the Rajapakse thugs and criminals who have plundered so much more than the bond scam and who can be so easily arrested as they are in the country. I wonder how much you have been paid by Sirasa for this stupid imbecilic letter.

Now, Ranil is trying to blame tha tMCC is the one who instructed Arjun Mahendra to do it. but, he doe snot say that he, POLITICALLY EXPERIENCED PRIME MINISTER OF THE COUNtry, with the help of the finance minister did it. Ranil and Arjun Aloesisus were meeting frequently in othe rplaces and were discussing about their work. I heard FTA talks was mostly about Arjun Mahendran and Singapore Prime minister had said that Arjun Mahendran won’t be released because it is the prime ministyer who has to take the blame. Itlooks Arjun Mahendran has explained the story to Singapore PM. Mahinda Rajapakse is laughing it is my men who were watching it.

    Dear all
Thank you for participating in this debate
Unfortunately some comments are based on misconceptions or by persons very worried for some reason or other on the subject of bond scam being discussed
How ridiculous is it to ask a person talking about a scam why he is not discussing about some other scam!?
Why don’t you address the blame to yourself
Why can’t you discuss it if you feel that is also important
Why do you demand me to discuss about all doubts and allegations you have in your mind
I am discussing about the bond scam cos I became a party to express my views on the subject at the very initial stages of this scam as a banker
I do not know why some critics are trying to brand me as a spokesperson for others
If they accuse someone for exposing a daring glaring corrupt deal causing a huge loss to the country as a mud slinging they must look in a mirror to understand who is mud slinging whom
My way of dealing with matters are designed by me in my own way
I can’t help how people with vested interests or some other personal prejudices against me look at those
Perhaps it is best for them do what they are accusing others of not doing by themselves if they can
It is easy to write a silly comment but facts are stubborn!
I shall continue till end any issue on which I engage to deal with in my own way
If someone is hurt such act brings any disrepute to any idol they praise it is a matter for them and not for me
Please refrain from calling names and attempting to attribute uncreditable motives to a creditable act
In this society few dare come forward to expose
Those who want historical events exposed can do so by themselves and leave me alone to deal with the more current affairs
I am worried more about the people who came to power promising us they would eliminate corruption and will bring to book the culprits they have identified
While they have completely ignored that role they themselves have begun the corruption game
    This what I focus on
I care less who will get hit by those
    ????
    Thank you
    Rusiri

When I was a Bank trade unionist Jaffna was my strong base

I will never indulge in any matter tainted with any communal feelings or outlook
I treat Tamils as my own brothers

      His excellency Maitripala Sirisena
      President
      Republic of Sri Lanka
      Colombo

      Your excellency,
Could you and others involved in war crimes committed on non combatant Tamils please hand yourselves up to International Criminal court to stand trial. After an inquiry UNHCR has concluded that there is a prima facie case against war criminals in Sri Lanka. This request is in accordance with UNHCR declaration of 1976.

Thank you for your cooperation to maintain justice.

      Mr. Rusiri,
You type : “I do not know why some critics are trying to brand me as a spokesperson for others
If they accuse someone for exposing a daring glaring corrupt deal causing a huge loss to the country as a mud slinging”
When you sleep with dogs, you tend to wake up with fleas. So, when you appear regularly on the heavily biased Sirasa outlets, it is reasonable to assume you are doing Maharajah’s bidding.
What is this “huge loss to the country”? You have been challenged before on the issue, but you have NEVER quantified it in this forum. Do it at least now. I am sure CT will give you as much space as you want.
If you can’t, well then, is it not fair to suspect your motives, especially as you are a known Rajapaksa supporter?

    • 1
      0

MR.Rusiripala ..please do not get emotional and sound upset for posing thoughts of others who have read your article….
What you gave extent is not about an ordinary joker but the PM of Sri Lanka and a man whom he appointed as the Governor of Central Bank….so naturally people are concerned about the Public figure…besides this letter you have written is an insult to his office…why did you write to PM of Singapore on his behalf…?
So the same way the US citizen Gotabaya Rajapaksha was brought in and installed as the defense secretary by president brother Mahinda Rajapaksha….the defense secretary caused massive blunders in the security apparatus of the country by politicizing it…just see the MIG deal…but no one opened the mouth at that time….
If RW is responsible for the crimes of Mahendran then MR should be held responsible for blunders of Gotabaya….the question is why nobody questioned about it… ?
people are questioning your responsibility because they hold you at high esteem..

  • 6

The cases against Udayanga and Wickramasuria must be followed by law enforcement agencies. This government was very slow to chase these two guys when the property racket in the USA and the MIG deal have been in the news for nearly 10 years now. Ranil looks at everything from his personal interest point.

The involvement of PM Ranil in the Bond scam is another matter.

Ranil and Mahendran are best of buddies for nearly 40 years. Ranil being an expert in almost everything should have assessed Mahendran and his son in law well. The entire UNP under Ranil have received cheques for millions from Aloysious and Mendis Special.

Singapore should help poor Sri Lanka to get rid of the corrupt including the hypocrits and manipulators calling themselves good men and old boys.

The Commission was a farce. They did not even summon PM Ranil to question him. Ranil came only voluntarily and was given easy questions by Attorney General who was appointed by Ranil !Two of the Judges were old Royalists ! So we are a banana republic. But Singapore can help us now.

Are you aware of the fact that the deputy prime minister of Singapore is a Tamil. He might try to shape up the case.

        You type:
“We recall and hold with esteem respect and honour our admirations towards the first Prime Minister of Singapore, Late Lee Kuan Yew, as a leading political figure in the region with outstanding achievements, accepted with open doors to any government anywhere in the world. We recollect with gratitude his extremely friendly attitude displayed towards our country throughout the tenure of his office as the Prime Minister.”

Here is an excerpt from Lees interview with Prof. Thomas Plate

Lee Kuan Yew has said of President Rajapaka and Sri Lanka, “[Sri Lanka] is not a happy, united country. Yes, they have beaten the Tamil Tigers this time, but the Sinhalese who are less capable are putting down a minority of Jaffna Tamils who are more capable. They were squeezing them out. That’s why the Tamils rebelled. But I do not see them ethnic cleansing all two million-plus Jaffna Tamils. The Jaffna Tamils have been in Sri Lanka as long as the Sinhalese.”

Plate: “So what Asia saw was ethnic cleansing?”

        Lee: “That’s right.”

Plate: “They [the Tigers] will come back, you think?”

Lee: “I don’t think they are going to be submissive or go away. The present President of Sri Lanka believes he has settled the problem; Tamil Tigers are killed and that is that.”

        AUGUST 13, 2013
        COLOMBO TELEGRAPH

Were you aware of Lee’s comment on Sinhalese extremist Dr Mahinda and SRi Lanka? If you were did you pass Lee’s observation to your crooked leader and his siblings?

Why aren’t you appealing to this government and the president to throw the war criminals and crooks who enjoy impunity and roam the island freely?

I haven’t seen your appeal to our friendly nations to arrest Udayanga Weeratunga and return to this island?

        Something fishy.
        Double Standard perhaps.

    Mr. Rusiripala Tennakoone…..
Crime …an act or omission which constitutes an offence and is punishable by law….(Oxford Dictionary)
It is good to learn about your ptriotic gesture….and hope the Singapore PM would reciprocate ….
You got together with Sirasa TV channel many a times during the period the Bond Scam investigations were in progress to tell the Sinhala viewers of the seriousness and the criminality of the act and we listened with our jaws down with an awe of respect the fascinating way you presented how the PM/FM should be punished …
We appreciate if you get together with Sirasa TV and explain the Sinhala viewers with the same intensity of the regime in which Gotabaya Rajapaksha was the defense secretary that sanctioned organized criminality during 2007-2014
Because as much as you and Sirasa yearn justice for the money that the Country lost..which can be earned ….the people who lost their loved ones the lives that can never be given back yearn for Justice …
I trust you and Sirasa both stand for JUSTICE…but not LOVE money…

I made the most number of my appearances on the English channels of the TV
My appearances in Sinhala extended to almost all channels through the several press briefings not seen by you
The people of the country changed a regime in order to punish those wrong doers in different capacities then
What good will it serve now talking about those crimes unless you presume that the fellows whom we elected in their place believed to be either dumb or in collusion with the former regime
Any way some one can talk about them if it fancies to do so
After all there are many channels
Sirasa continues to crtisise the rulers for failing to punish
Not only the bond scammers all

        Pala your last paragraph!
Sirasa continues to criticise the rulers for failing to punish not only the bond scamners all.
You must be dam joking Sirasa never critisises Sillysena. It seems that you are in Killi Mahendran’s payroll.

People of the Country ensured a change in 2015 of an oppressive regime under that curtailed the basic human freedom / rights for 10 years….freedom of speech & criticism is one aspect that was severely dealt with instilling fear psychosis if it involves the “Czars “of the regime..The new Govt freed the Country from all sources of oppression. However there is a delay in prosecuting the wrong doers of previous regime due the enormity of the damage and corruption that have been inflicted upon by politicizing the entire Administration of the Country including the Judicial system over their 10 year rule. But that does not mean the past heinous crimes crimes by using the Security forces maintained by the Country cannot be discussed…Sirasa TV was burnt down in 2008 stoned on several occasions then…But under the present restored freedom don’t Sirasa want Justice..? unless all the incidents are cooked and self inflicted by Sirasa…? are they so corrupted to not to talk about the past issues..? This does not mean the other media houses are better.. It is strange that even the educated free thinkers …political..financial pundits and surprising even the media who claim to stand for Justice with ” WE TALK YOU DECIDE” by blowing up even a ‘FART’ out of proportion of the Govt as a Crime conveniently evading the education of the masses about the heinous crimes committed by the past regime. ..WHY ..is it the fear of reprisal by the previous regime if they come to power..or is this a plot has been hatched by the Media gangs with the previous regime to wash the brains of the masses the asses…?

All Non combatant Tamils were killed in the last battle was by LTTE as the Tamil civilians were crossing the terrorist lines to Sri Lankan Army areas after breaking the Human Shield by the Terrorist LTTE.

Sankaralingam and few others were so desperately protecting world’s most dreaded terrorist out fit because they are followers of terrorist ideology and the agenda of self rule, separate state, elam etc, which is usual for the people who have come to Sri Lanka as Invaders, plunderers, smugglers, slaves to work in tea estates as the thinking line is as outsiders.

They mix mix up this petty mindset with Arjun Mahendran who is involved in the day light robbery of Central Bank of Sri Lanka who is been wanted by the law courts here.

Don’t try to cover up crime. There is ample evidence of war crimes committed by Sri Lanka security forces. This is the reason why you are afraid to face an independent international panel. I was a medico-legal officer in the war zone and I am a medical witness to these crimes. You cannot hide for long, and one day will get punished.

At some stage of the Arumadura Lawrence Romelo Duminda Silva saga, some of us, ‘Concerned Lankans’ wrote to the then Singapore PM about the well being of Duminda after seeing some gruesome photographs of Duminda’s brain. At that time Duminda was warded in a Singapore hospital.
What was the response? You guessed it! None!!

    .
To the uninitiated, Duminda Silva, is a Sri Lankan politician and a former Member of Parliament. He flits between UNP and SLFP. Duminda Silva is alleged to have strong connections to the drug trade in Sri Lanka and is a close associate of the powerful former defense secretary of Sri Lanka Gotabaya Rajapaksa. (In fact Mrs GR calls him Sudhu Malli).
On September 8, 2016, he was sentenced to death by the High Court of Sri Lanka for the murder of Sri Lankan politician Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra, a political rival.

“Rusiri”: When I read your comment: ” “As the wanted culprit is now a Singapore citizen, I thought an approach like this would be OK”. – that doesn’t sound like you Mr. Rusiripala Thennakone. If in fact, it is from you Mr. Rusiripala, then again it is not fitting into your credentials as a ex “Banker”; but certainly would be “Fitting” because now you are a “Politician” in the “company” of the rest of Sri Lanka. Mr. Rusiripala Thennakone – You know the “WAY” to get this “Culprit” and I hope our Law Enforcement would follow that action. Unfortunately, the “ROUGE” (the Mastermind) who “Employed” this culprit is having and enjoying all the FUN of the “Drama” now on stage by the Sri Lankan Law Enforcement. Your letter too, in my opinion, is an added “ACT” in that “DRAMA”. That culprit’s former “Employer” must be laughing from even unspeakable and unseen organelle of his physical body.

How pathetic. Play the Ball not the man.
Dr Ranil knew all along that Alousiuos, both Arjun and Geoffrey financed the Yahapalana campaign to Fuck Up the Sinhala Buddhist nation, which was moving along nicely to be a Mid Income decent Country, after 30 years of destruction caused by Dr Mahendran’s own People.
Dr Ranil tried to hide the Bond Commission Report, after going all out to stop the Commission itself.
Dr Ranil forced the AG to go easy on him and prevented the ASG cross examining Dr Ranil…
And Dr Ranil stopped the publication of the final report in full.
Yahapalana ex Minister Dayasiri who got LKR 1 Million from Aloysious says there are 118 all up in Kotte who got Money from Aloysious.
And those names are in the Bond Commission Report.
Even if they received only 1 Mil each. that is a whopping 118 Million.
So Dr Ranil had to pay back the old Royal mate whose Family companies forked out this Cash.
Will the Singapore Dudes hand over their loyal Citizen when Dr Ranil has paid the Singaporeans too with Mallikas FTA……

The judiciary in Sri Lanka is corrupt to the core and lacks credibility. This is the same reason why Udayanga’s extradition is delayed. Singapore should not extradite Mahendran even if Interpol pin points his location. Mahendran is not a Sri Lankan citizen but a Singaporean and they have a duty to him and not go by an order of a Kangaroo court..

I cannot understand why the writer is polishing apples on Lee Kuan Yew: this is what he said at the latter part of his life.
““Another example is Sri Lanka. It is not a happy, united country. Yes, they [the majority Sinhalese government] have beaten the Tamil Tigers this time, but the Sinhalese who are less capable are putting down a minority of Jaffna Tamils who are more capable. They were squeezing them out. That’s why the Tamils rebelled. But I do not see them ethnic cleansing all two million-plus Jaffna Tamils. The Jaffna Tamils have been in Sri Lanka as long as the Sinhalese.””

“Lee Kuan Yew, the Father of Singapore and father of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong of Singapore has described Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa as a Sinhalese Extremist and what happened in Sri Lanka in 2009 as ethnic cleansing.” CT Aug 2013

Try writing to your own Prime Minister who is a dear friend of the criminal. Why ask the Singaporean instead of the fellow Sri Lankan?

      Ben Salam

He is not the only criminals.

It would have been reasonable to arrest, (keep them in custody, investigate, charge find guilty, …) ……………….. other criminals including war criminals, crooks, thieves who stole cash and gold from Vanni, received kickbacks from military supplies and civilian contracts, ………..who are not only currently living in this island but also putting forward plans to capture political power and make Sri Lanka into a Fascistic state of kleptocracy.

Has the court found Gammanpila guilty of financial misappropriation?
Why does not the government go after Udayanga Weeratunga ?
Note Sil redda crooks are still out on bail..
There are thousands of cases you chose to ignore. May I ask why?

A Big Thank You: Right action in this regard, coming even from the Devil himself, is welcome. I thank the author for this move and I will do anything within my power to support him. I am wealthy enough bear the individual divided cost of this scam. But I cannot keep idle when my gardener, who lost his customers and hence his income as a travelling fish vendor when 2 big supermarkets opened in our area and had to do odd jobs, has to pay some money to cover the losses of this massive robbery, every time he consumes even a ‘nikan they’ – a plain tea. He is already overburdened with so many indirect taxes necessitated due to robbery, corruption and simple ineptitude by the people he voted for and something has to be done – soon.

This wonderful person who has to support a family of 4 bears up everything with equanimity and no complaints. He does not smile but nor does he frown. It is the ever suffering people like these who make up our society and are the real strength of its foundations. Every time a Minister buys a super luxury vehicle or a Mayor wants to sit on a marble commode and do the job, more is added to the burden of these people. If we do not control this kind of crimes and behavior, one day the columns supporting our society would collapse. And on that day everyone will have to pay for their crimes against society.

We always know that you would greedily kiss the asses of the wrong ones on day light. These men are born horagediyas.

So Edwin, so long you guys are bound to support highly abusive men like Rusiripala, your young generation cant dream on a better sirlanka.

This man Rusiripala is an another parrot who has been invited on and on to share their thoughts as experts. But paradoxially this man was SHUT during previous regime.

Why ? Can you as a senior man of lanken society explain me why ?

      • 0
        2

        Balaprippu
May b rusiripala was Shut during the previous regime cos he was not open to them
Naturally that proves he kept away from the wrong doers in that regime
Did you expect him to be with the previous regime?

Sorry your wish was not his wish!
Rusiripala we know was made the chairman of National gem authority by RW himself if you like to share that information
What we know of him is when that government of RW was toppled by SB Tilanga and the crowd he respectfully resigned his post without a hum
And the new regime did not have any qualms about his tenure if office as Chsirman under Ranil
Please do not try to run down people
It is a quality of mean guys!
Best we know is Rusiripala never went after Chandrika or Mahinda although he knew both very closely
He , that Rusiripala, we saw openly campaigning for RW as well as Sarath Fonseka openly addressing political meetings
He could not have been praising either Chandrika or Mahinda in those speeches he made!
You better first get to know whom you try to run down publicly with your highly fanciful thinking
To say the least it is unfair!

        • 1
          0

You may be one another to clean him.
But our problem is if Rusiripala is that genuine skin, he should have been engaged against former CBG – Nevard too right ?There the kind of men stay mum as that was not their business.
I have no doubt, at least later he thought to earn bucks from Sirasa and became a parrot of them
All these weeks months what we got to see it SIRASA production was abusing Rusiripala and other Dr Wijewardhana for their kind of assignements.
I wonder the both failed to utter single word against former Regime and mountanouus funds grabs of them.
Why Rusiripala is that worried of 11 billion while leaving over 4000 billions away.
4000 billions have been gone lost thanks to Rjapakashe mismanagement.
At least 11 billions of Bond scam funds are frozen.
The hope is there to get them back. But 4000 billions have become Rajpaakshe own properties. why ? Why the same blood of Rusiripala behaves that double standards.
The other man is mahanama. He is also one another parrort being abused by SIRASA.
All these men have no whatsoever morals to behave so if they really love the nation and the country.

Babalathappu, Today we signed my new employment contract and we are having a party to celebrate. But okay, since you insist, I will explain. As I said, I will join hands even with the Devil himself to get those responsible for the CB scam behind bars. And all evidence points to Mahendran and Ranil to be guilty of that terrible crime, one that can affect the whole future of our economy. That is why! Okay? I think I have the right to think what I think without others thinking that I cannot do so.

And I think what is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. If Ranil cannot be punished if found guilty how can you go on insisting that MR be punished for unproven crimes?

          Mr Edwin,
“guilty of that terrible crime, one that can affect the whole future of our economy” you type.
What terrible crime? Is 11 billion over THIRTY years a greater loss than the one at Sri Lankan Airlines of 12 billion in ONE year? How can it affect the economy if SLA loss hasn’t?I thought you were smarter than to believe everything you hear on Sirasa?

          • 0
            0

Well, when you put it that way, it does not seem to be much. come to think of it. It is a drop in the ocean. Per head per annum it works out as Rs 16.

So, I was wrong to assume that my gardener’s income would be affected by it. Surely, he can absorb Rs 16 X 4 = Rs 64 per annum. It is certainly not going to affect his economy.

No wonder, my good old teacher failed me twice before allowing through in the 3rd and the last shy.

I am now thinking of giving up this miserable job in Saudi and returning to Sri Lanka to rob banks- preferably Public Banks. Highly lucrative for the thief and hardly felt by the victims. The ideal crime.

              Edwin,
Please get your facts right before just following your masters.
That can then help young generations not to abuse own folks.
We perfectly know that Sirasa has been on attacking RW for their own reasons.
They the senders including other two highly abusive media prostitute institutions (Derana and Hiru) would never reveal the ground reality of the sizes of debts MR mismanagement left by 2015.
It was not just 11 billions but over 4000 Billions. MEANING 400 times more.
Alone Srilanken airlines havingabused as their family taxis costed state over few hundred billions.
And the helicopter use of the maharaja for no reason costed the state over few hundreds.
But you guys just hang on with the like minded idiots of Susiripala nature (hired parrots to Sirasa) just to add your comments this way is beyond all bearing.
I think man in his 60ties should have sensed it long ago, but your nature would not allow you to see it right Mathugama gonthandia.
Get well soon before you come to add your incoherent comments.

Desperate Sinhalaya, you must be one of the new manifestations of Ang Nethi Gon Sam Sung, who seems to be breeding new Avatars like rabbits. Let me understand this thoroughly. There are two plots here.
                1) The CB bond scam never happened. It is just a story spread by Derana, Hiru and Sirasa to discredit the SOSS (Shit On Seven Spots) man.
                2) Mahinda siphoned off more than 4000 billion as commissions on various projects during his reign.
Edwin is setting a bad example for the younger generation by joining MR and thus condoning the act of stealing 4000 billion from the Janathawa. The younger generation should follow the example o=set by SOSS man by robbing banks and thenkeeping mum when caught.
                Is that coherent enough?

JO and other pigs you are close to will welcome you at once.
No doubt about Mr Rodrigo. You may easily be able to help toiletting dept of former THakkadiya in Medamulana – since his over flow loads are upt to the level of creating heavy floods to the areas.
Poor remote area people must not be charged for all high crimes deliberately perpetrated by MR et al.
My worry is there are significant numbers in the country but whose voices would not have been counted – since You edwins ARE the majorty in that part of the world.
That is unfortunately the danger of so called PSEDUO democracies such as OURS:
To me democracy should be only for ones that have improved their education.
So long the educational levels lie under accepatable standards, social democracy should be the way to rebuild both nation and a country.

The Great Leader: Bitchy Bird, you say “since You edwins ARE the majority in that part of the world” and that is very true. MR is like a God in our part of the country. Watch any TV channel and you will see him going to weddings, opening ceremonies, funerals et al, spreading his charm and being treated like the real President of the country. The reason is that in the minds of the people he is the great leader, the modern ‘Dutu Gemunu’, who destroyed the Tigers and saved the country. The people love him and know no other President.
Even if he did steal the 4000 billion plus that you allege he has stolen, it was worth it and done in style, leaving no evidence, for stinky dogs and bitches to follow the trail. In contrast, when Ranil tried to cover up the CB Bond scam, it was like a man trying to hide his shit and getting it in 7 places.
And what about Sirisena? The other day he was talking about the heaviest floods that hit the country in years and he was saying that it was a good thing! Even if the Yahapalana Government doesn’t do anything the GDP will increase because of the floods. How would have the hundreds of thousands of flood-victims felt when they heard this? I wish that the floods will do one more thing for us – wash away the Parliament with all its inept politicians like him. I am sure that will make the GDP rise like a rocket.

                  Edwin;

Please stay in ME. That will be more beneficial to our folks.

If you as a guy in his late sixties cant get good and bad well, so what about the other folks.
You just ignore if MR et al abused over 4000 billion funds, but cry for 11 billions ? where is the logic ?
Also talk about high being caught by the same mantra being recited to grass eaters in that part fo the world.
We NOW know that there do exist MEDIA mafia in SL. This mafia is run by Dilip Jayweera whose Derana came intobeing through black money pumped by Rajapakshe rascals.
So is the other PROS sender Hiru.
Siras is bit different but now being part of Mr SIRISENA prpopaganda, they attack Ranil only.
All in all, please study all the bits properly Mr Rodrigo. You can be my LOKUTHATHA, but you behave like our teenage brother. We understand you just enjoy by adding anything to this platform, but please try to open your lips if you have comphrehended them only.
Just because his term found the stop to Terror means not that the bugger family should be godded for any crimes they deliberately perpetrate right ?
How you then explain it to your grand children Mr Rodrigo ?
Had we had sharia law active on lanken soil, no doubt, all JO men have already been beheaded or stoned.
If anyone made high crimes, they all deserve to face their punishments.

Taking Sides: Kirilli, Your “Please stay in ME” is good advice. My advice to you is the same. You do your toilet cleaning in Germany and I will continue doing my main job here, which is to keep my boss entertained by commenting in CT.
You say MR siphoned away 4000 + billion rupees. But where is the evidence? If evidence exists why didn’t they take any action all this time? Is the Sira-Ranil combo scraping coconuts?
On the other hand credible evidence exists that our ‘Shit On 7 Spots’ hero manipulated everything in the 11 billion rupee bond scam. What Prof. AKD explained in a previous article is true. The whole bond scam was planned and executed to pay back loans taken from certain parties, for funding the 2015 elections. But that does not let the ‘Shit On 7 Spots’ off the hook. The whole thing is serious crime and an Akusala Kamma. The whole sordid episode is well recorded and backed by solid evidence.
So we have Mahinda on one side with his alleged 4000 + billion heist with no credible proof that could stand in a court of law and ‘Shit On 7 Spots’ with a much smaller 11 billion but with solid evidence against him. The ‘Seven Spot Man’ has a ‘One Shot’ and a ‘Pus Shot’ on his side. But the support of Pus Shot cannot be guaranteed. He sometimes shoots at his enemies and sometimes at his friends. The day is not far when he shoots himself in the foot.
I take the side of Mahinda. But I know that you cannot do that because of the bakshees ‘Shit On 7 Spots’ gives you.

                Q & A:
bunjikirilli: You may easily be able to help toiletting dept….
Edwin: Why not? We will catch you guys as you land and take you to Medamulana (the Kingdom of Rajano)– not to kill but to clean the toilets. We are not the brutes that some think we are. The killing will come later, after the cleaning job.
bunjikirilli: Poor remote area people must not be charged for all high crimes deliberately perpetrated by MR et al.
Edwin: They can be charged for low price crimes like robbing the local bank. A few Rs a year to pay for that by all will be like a mosquito bite.

bunjikirilli: My worry is there are significant numbers in the country but whose voices would not have been counted – since You edwins ARE the majorty in that part of the world.
Edwin: One can do that for any part of the world. Just stab the Lasanthas and poison Ang Nethi Gon Sam Sungs.

bunjikirilli: That is unfortunately the danger of so called PSEDUO democracies such as OURS. To me democracy should be only for ones that have improved their education.
Edwin: Oh really! How generous of you to suggest that system knowing very well that Sakkilyas would not be able to vote under it.
bunjikirilli: So long the educational levels lie under acceptable standards, social democracy should be the way to rebuild both nation and a country.

    Sankaralingam, Nadarajah,

Do not waste your time again for non-existing war crimes as LTTE WHOEVER DIED, it is LTTE who killed the civillians whilst breaching the Human shield and crossing to the Army areas.

Now, LTTE is annihilated and they got the punishment for all the mayhem did during the civil unrest for 30 years including killing entire moderate Tamil political leadership and famously annihilating rival tamil groups with a view to becoming sole representative of Tamil People.

If one is serious, one write formally through an appropriate organization.
Open letters are often written as a last resort. They are more for political purposes, though necessary at times, and tend to be more confrontational than persuasive.
in this instance, I think that that it is like a donkey doing the dogs job. But the master is far away to hear the braying.

May be that the donkey started braying because the dog is confined to the licking buiseness
You have to inintiate a new theory according to your wishful thinking about when and how to write open letters

        PUK,
When you look in the mirror, do you see Rusiri, T. Rusiripala, R.Tennekoon or even Jayasiri?

Rusiripala did an excellent job in unravelling the biggest White color crime in Sri Lanka. Hats off for that whistle blowing role.
Sad to note the comments taking a communal angle. Please note for these types of crimes happened in Sri Lanka such as VAT scam all 03 communities get together as partners. When things get expose it becomes communal. Let us be hard on the problem and soft on the people and get those robbed the country and held them accountable

    Dear Mr Rusiripala Thennakoon,

Could you please forward the letter that you sent to the Prime Minister of Singapore to the Singapore media organizations asking them to publish it in their newspapers or telecast on television or broadcast on Radio channels?

People in Singapore should know that their neighbour is a thief who is currently absconding the criminal procedures in a friendly country.

    Thank you

    Ruwan Dissanayake

You are an idiot. How come you think any article from a xa man would be published in si pore press so easily. ?
You are just one good example to have been on THANAKOLA eating as your staple food.

Some of you guys are only biased and attacking PM in the same time covering President.

And not a single word on Mafia boss whose days CB was run by a bunch of thugs NOT HAVING any independent legal entity to CB.

I have been a lawyer in New York and Toronto for 30 years but even a junior law student could see that Bond Commission was highly politicized when it refused to hear witnesses who could testify about the lower level information leakage from the SL Central Bank. When you add the shrillness from Sirisena and Killi’s Sirasa media, and the fact that the Bond Commission judges and Central Bank deputy governors were given favors like Japan delegation trips, tenure extensions and plum assignments to Govt departments, there is no credibility left for the SL attorney-general’s Office and Mr Sirisena. Sad.

      Monica:
Open letters are for local consumption. The letter itself has no merit. This issue has gone on for years and after an inquiry for over an year still unable to bring charges as there is no SCAM that broke the law or at least on one is able to bring in charges.
I agree there could have been a lot of unethical behavior but that in itself is not illegal.

Now govt is on a fishing expedition while keeping two professionals behind bars without bail while the real fraudsters of the Mig deal and other major fraud are protected by a kangaroo court which will not allow the CID to do its job.

Arnt you happy that you left SL a long time ago?

        Burt,
“his issue has gone on for years and after an inquiry for over an year still unable to bring charges as there is no SCAM that broke the law or at least on one is able to bring in charges.”
        Very well put.
I wish this would get into a lot of thick heads on this forum.

Dilith Jayaweera of Derana is a master manipulator. Killi Mahendran is another SOB. Then we have the kudda Channel Hiru run by Raynor Silva.
Are these 3 channels are master manipulators. Rusiri ayya has got caught to Sirasa trap and he cannot get out.

    Dear Rusiripala Tennekoon.
I am in receipt of your undated letter to the PM of Singapore.
Our office contacted Arjuna and wanted to know his side of the bond transactions.
Mr Arjuna gave us all the required information and we are satisfied with his explanation.
We regret that we would be not in a position to return him to Srilanka to face a kangaroo court.
We understand that your Judicial system is packed with Sinkala Judges.
    Best of regards.
    Lee kuan Chop.
    EP.
