Even before the declaration of the Presidential polls, the Rajapaksa regime has kick-started their illegal campaigning activities, forcibly enrolling teachers in government schools into the Sri Lanka Freedom Party teacher union.

President Mahinda Rajapaksa has appointed his brother, Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa as the campaign manager of the UPFA
The enrolments have been carried out by Acting Directors and Service Advisors – who themselves are political appointees – who have been visiting schools in education zones countrywide and forcing the teachers through principals to obtain membership in the SLFP affiliated – Sri Lanka Nidahas Guru Sangamaya (SLNGS).
Aggrieved teachers have revealed that a list of teachers unwilling to obtain membership in the SLFP teacher union has been requested from each school and they have been informed that the eligibility to remain entitled to the motorcycles promised to those in the teachers service through budget 2015 would depend on their willingness to be part of the SLNGS.
Moreover, these Acting Directors and Service Advisors have also been holding meetings within schools for teachers that seeks to promote SLFP activities and the development work carried out by the government.

Let them enjoy the full violation of the constitution and breaking all the laws and financial regulations of the country. But it is everyones duty to record everything for future actions and if they found guilty , capital punishments must be imposed against them on behalf of all citizens and the tax payers of the country.

The UFPA Organizer was sent to China recently to arrange for Funds
etc. for the PE and these Motor Cycles are a part of it. The cost
of it can be easily included in the next Tender for a Development
Project? (see recent article by Upul Fernando).
We must welcome the early PE for it gives the ONE & ONLY chance to make the required change, however the No. of votes must be such that
rigging Nos. do not matter. Will the bribe-takers given due
consideration of this divine chance?

Because the Prez gave Mo pads to 2241 UFPA Council bosses.
Do these 2241 work for the UNP?…
Is 2241 votes enough for the CC to get over the line?..
Intelligentsia must be totally confused.
