CCTV footage captured an act of animal cruelty outside a residence in Pelawatta at about 2:10 AM on Saturday 3rd October. A complaint has been lodged with the police (I.B. reference CIB 01 137/31), and an appeal is being made to the public to help identify the man seen in the video.

Anyone who recognises the individual or has information that could assist the police investigation is urged to come forward and contact the Department of Wildlife Conservation, Law Enforcement, on 011 2888585, or the police, quoting the reference above.
