A Stitch In Time Saves Nine

By M. M. Janapriya –

Dr. M.M. Janapriya

Did we apply that all important stitch in time. Definitely not and why? The next two lines of the poem summarizes it all.

Our pearls of wisdom divine,

Cast before all walks of swine.

Introduction

I am really devastated that despite all the advice and warnings of a disastrous outcome given by senior doctors like us, the Government of Sri Lanka (GOSL) sleep walked the nation to the cliff edge. People in and around the driving seat of the GOSL either were too pigheaded to heed expert advice or were in denial that the wicked folk would not come to our door from the next or indeed deliberately let the virus spread and wanted `Naatha’ and other gods to take care of the nation. I only hope their narrative as per advice of medical imbeciles like Maha-chora Velusumana was not “let the virus spread conferring herd immunity while we work towards saving the economy. If this meant some oldies and even younger ones dying so be it”

History

I felt retired hurt, not from my professional life but from my journalistic life but I keep coming back. I feel risen as a phoenix ready to take to the skies again. I was a constant writer to Colombo Telegraph on Corona from Feb 2020 till now and have written around 13 or more articles so far. Links to almost all of these were sent to the President too. In my last article to your esteemed press titled Stop Politicking with corona, I did point out all the mistakes the GOSL had made, up until that time and begged of them to learn from those. Not to be. What these clowns should realize is that while they may be super stars and beat even Usain Bolt for speed at taking home public funds they are not at all experts in preventive medicine. Hence if those who are unfortunate enough to be taken before the law for serious crime can be sentenced to be executed by a method of their choice, all those who are in the steering committee to prevent Covid spread and deaths in Sri Lanka should be taken before a criminal court, ideally an international one for mass murder of their nation by either blissful negligence or audacious inaction.

Government Culpability

I have written on all topics below and hence do not propose to repeat them. Please care to google or read this article of mine which touches on all of the above bungles and fumbles of the government.

Navy sailor saga:- Sailors let on holiday before completing quarantine period

Great Kandakadu debacle:- Probably sent infected drug addicts from Welisara prison

Trans-Lanka Funeral of Thonda:- Soon after the first lockdown was lifted Thonda’s coffin paraded length and bredth of the countryr with government blessings oblivious to health guidelines.

General elections:- Held during a period in which Covid-19 was still spreading. DGHS was probably made to say it was ok to hold election

Garment Factory brings delta:- Infected labour from Visakhapatnam brought to SL spread via Minuwangoda Peliyagoda to all corners of the country

Bio bubble tourism:- of Bacillus Medius Kingside and the roly poly Rantungs

Hijacked vaccination programme:- Threw the expert recommendation to the WPB and pressed on with silhil servant’s way of plundering for politicos and doling out to even 30s to `get the work force vaccinated’, my foot!

New Year relaxation:- Insane relaxation of restrictions on movement for the new year.

All these show that the GOSL did not care a tuppence about the nation at large. 6 sub-humans blasted themselves killing hundreds 6 months or so prior to the presidential elections frightening the guts off the nation. People feared for their lives and voted Gota to power who promised them sterling security. The defence secretary showed his prowess by totally annihilating the LTTE but metamorphosed to President he has cut a sad figure. Covid-19 Genie was allowed to escape unchecked so now it has the upper hand and is indeed calling the shots. Present tragic situation of SL is one of governments own making. An `own goal’. Really? May be not. In this match against people it may well be a goal well directed in to the people’s net.

Sri Lankan Vishala Mahanuwara

Government sniggered at the western countries saying “we were the best in Covid control”. Their boot licker GOMA (cow dung) president boasted he would not refuse a 110 year old an ICU bed. Have they now swallowed the humble pie or have they got megalomaniac dysphagia to solid lies? They test little to keep patient numbers down but patients dying at home, ` on admission’ to hospital, on hospital corridors and on the wayside tells the true story. I have said this before and I am reiterating it once again now.

Daily tests done by Lankans is a paltry 20,000. Daily test needed to catch all infected is 20,000/million = 460,000. Therefore we are doing 1/23 of the needed tests. Hence GOSL numbers should be multiplied by 23 to get the real figures. When the dead are 187 the actual number should be close to 4301 and when the number of patients is 3000 real number should be 69000. As this is an arithmetical calculation real figures could be different but this must be closer to the truth than anything else I know.

Please watch this recording of Derana 360 which interviewed the Physician in charge of the IDH Colombo and concentrate on what he says between minutes 40.25 and 41.36. He says this is like a Kisa Gothamie Jathaka story restaged. Cannot find a mustard seed from a non covid-striken household. This is the real situation on the ground today.

Official Government Response

This is what Minister Romesh Pathirana said on the 10th August 2021 to the Journalist of the News 1st Amani Nilar. “While the Government takes recommendations proposed by the health sector into account, curfew will not be implemented until absolutely necessary”. We must note that Pathirana is in the peadiatric age group in the vast ocean of medical knowledge and he does not know what he says or indeed does. Keheliya the brand new Minister of Health is not a medical man in real life but he seems to think that he has completed a medical career on Google. This is what he had said on the same interview. “The only solution we have at the moment is the vaccine. After we vaccinate the population, then it’s up to God” This man too has no clue on what he is talking about. When such people run the country it can only run backwards. This is the link for the interview. https://www.newsfirst.lk/2021/08/10/its-upto-the-vaccine-and-god-keheliya/

Mahanayakes who may also be not up to their own job of preaching proper Dhamma to the nation chipped in to control Covid-19 and wanted the 1 week lockdown. Government bent backwards and in a jiffy lockdown came in for what? Steed had bolted quite a few weeks ago and the stable is empty but not of Covid-19. Current lockdown will have little or negligible effect even if it is applied for 3 continuous months.

Don’t blame lockdowns saying they are ineffective. They are and have been shown by countries like NZ Australia and even Vietnam to be very effective. In Sri Lanka ruled by  know it all but knows little right honourables and their corrupt henchmen like ‘Sil hil servants’ it is often applied way too late. When applied too late nothing is effective, not even lockdowns. Keheliya and Romesh please remember, lockdown is a preventive measure that should be applied early and pressed on with to bring the transmission of the virus down to manageable levels so that hospitals could cope and not a last ditch attempt to plug holes in the sinking ship or a last straw to hang on to. Heed advice from experts. It takes a lot to know that you don’t know. It takes a lot to be humble in a vest of power. It takes a lot to be truthful in a world of damn liars. However it is all worth it. You should be a worthy human being whom Corona should and would keep it’s ugly spikes off. If not all of you guys will fall in to the same mass grave you have dug for those elderly unsuspecting people on whose shoulders you romped home to power and your leaders were returned home to safety.

Doc I can feel the anger and frustration of yours. Take a deep breadth and count from 100 backwards, it helps. Remember this is how Rajapaksa owned Lanka has been since they claimed it as family entity. Yet 6.9 million including you elected them. It is not just Covid but economy, development, education, employment – – – are in shatters.

Doc my sincere advise is to stick to medicine and not venture elsewhere like standardization. Though I had serious misgiving with “army doing fantastic job”, I fully agreed with each and every article of yours in relation to Covid. Now you too agree it should have been health experts and not the army in charge of steering committee. My intention is not to nit pick but to quote “hence if those who are unfortunate enough to be taken before the law for serious crimes can be sentenced, to be executed by their own choice, all those in the steering committee to prevent Covid spread and deaths in Sri Lanka should be taken before a criminal court ideally an international one for mass murder of their nation by either blissful negligence or audacious inaction” Doc, isn’t it the same those poor Tamil victims are demanding for the past 10 years. Now that the country is under threat, feeling hopeless/helpless, worthless and the intense fear that no one is immune (Mangala) is making you to write what a community has been going through all their life. Thanks for being unbiased and outspoken on this matter.

        Chiv,
        “…poor Tamil victims…”
        —-
Have you forgotten that it was Tamils who declared war against Native Sinhalayo to grab a part of their country to create a separate State for the Tamils in Yapanaya who came to work for colonial rulers and massacred Sinhalayo for three decades? A large majority of Tamils wholeheartedly extend their support to Tamil terrorists. They willingly took part to form human shields to protect LTTE. So, how can Tamils become the victims? Tamils are the aggressor and Sinhalayo are the victims.

Yes, Dr Jananpriya should steer clear of the politics of the ethnic groups.
        .
It’s unfortunate that so few of us are anything more than bi-lingual. There are many who appear to talk sense, but speak only Sinhala. It’s unfortunate that even I’m really literate only in English, but I know that this monk for instance speaks sense:

Do you think any one in the Presidential office read any of your articles?

“all those who are in the steering committee to prevent Covid spread and deaths in Sri Lanka should be taken before a criminal court, ideally an international one for mass murder of their nation by either blissful negligence or audacious inaction”

Why for international one? Why not national one?
Do you understand that this President and Government are from King Family endorsed by Lord Buddha to do whatever they want including mass murder?

“Heed advice from experts. It takes a lot to know that you don’t know. It takes a lot to be humble in a vest of power. “
Does Dr.J expect this genius of a President elected by 69 lakhs of gullibles to admit that he knows nothing about viruses? The same guy who declined to cancel the Esala Perahera with its 5000 participants because that would bring bad luck to the country?
This man handles the pandemic the same way he handled the war. Straightforward enough, really. In both cases, everybody ends up dead. A country gets the leaders (and voters) that it deserves.

Please note the situation of Florida state. They have had no lockdown or mask laws since September 2020. That is, a whole year of absolutely no laws related to COVID. Yet look at the chart of cases and deaths on Google. The viral activity rises and falls as it wills, with policy playing no part.

Florida teaches us that lockdowns and mask laws serve no purpose and do not improve the situation. They in fact worsen the situation by, not only causing economic activity to come to a halt, making us all poorer as a result, but also introducing a whole plethora of new problems in the form of Deaths of Despair (deaths caused by depression, alcoholism and drug abuse, and related), as well as deaths caused by diseases undiagnosed (cancers, heart problems etc.) as patients keep away from doctors due to fear.

Furthermore our children don’t go to school, and why should they not, since they are the most capable of resisting the virus and acting as a barrier and shield towards the older population. “Focused protection”, i.e. protection of the vulnerable is what we needed, not this wholesale lockdown that does so much harm.

It is a good thing the GOSL did not listen to the doctors. Doctors are not educated in the wide ranging ramifications and unseen consequences of lockdown.

Riz Moh you take out some information anf present here out of context Florida and Texas are highly infected states right now. Gov Santos have admitted to it. They not only resisted mask but vaccines too. Is that what you advise for Lankans right now?? In US people travel so frequent a few is enough to carry to other states. The anomalies you mentioned alcoholism and crime will be on rise with infection too not just lockdown. Every infection rise and falls but it takes, lot of people with it and cycles keeps repeating, dosen’t disappear as in miracles. States which were more rigid did not fare any worse in economy than FL and TX. I guess your priority is not to be poor than being alive. I am not for lockdown but saying NO to mask or vaccines shows you still haven’t learned anything. Do children act as barriers or carry infection home to the elders ?? Did you vote for Donald the duck by any chance ?? Doctors are not educated in economy and you are not educated to be a doctor.

The point I have made seems lost on you. Florida and other states that have refused to lockdown are fairing no better or worse than states that have extremely draconian lockdown measures. Thus the ineffectiveness of these measures is made clear.
If you are to follow any policy, especially one that is so damaging as a lockdown, then you need to also examine what is the baseline case. That is, what if we were to do nothing?
That is exactly what the no lockdown states show. They show the situation of when nothing is done.
I am fully aware that the case numbers are very high right now. But that is besides the point. The fact is for a whole year hence they have faired better. And I am sure it will become apparent that they will continue to fair better in the year ahead.
Secondly you need not extrapolate my words into assuming I am against vaccination or a supporter of Trump (I have no affiliation with the US whatsoever). It seems you have bought wholesale into the media tripe that anti mask and lockdown opinions go hand in hand with these types of opinions. What shallow senseless thinking.

          0

izMoh, 1) I did not see any point in your comment to lose 2) FL and TX are doing much worse due to their political ignorance. There is no state where extremely draconian measures were forced. All stated followed same measures and some more some less depending on severity. 3) provide real facts other than making sweeping statements showing measures were ineffective 4) I again reiterate I am not for lock down, but it is people like you, misinform public leading to such measures and then cry foul. 5) Lockdown was forced when infection got out of hand and then people like you exploit the same statistics to claim lockdown being ineffective.6) your comparison is between highly affected state which was forced to lockdown and a state which was least affected. (also you need to consider population, density , health access and many others) Then you say “that is beside the point “, what is your point if there is any. 7) Lockdown does not cure but may help to flatten the curve. But in a worse situation it just helps in buying time so to avoid further catastrophe. That is clearly evident in India, where from running out of oxygen they are now donating oxygen to Lanka after a month. 8) You say there is no need for mask and lockdown , in that case what is the need for vaccination???9)

            cont
RIf you have no affiliation with U.S then try looking at issues where you are right now instead of providing social media facts and misinforming about U.S(seems you have no clue). I am sharing this not from media tripe but from my experience and knowledge gained in past 2 years from treating and following Covid affected patients.
            10) Today LRH reported nearly 200 kids are treated right now and few in ICU care. 150 of them are < than 2 years to 14 years. You call children as barriers instead of carriers. 11) Riz as you think not wearing mask, moving freely without restriction is your right , others too have right to live without falling sick with this deadly infection and become disable. 12) Because GOSL was arrogant and stupid not to follow experts advise , focused protection has now turned into full blown community infection. FL and TX teaches us nothing but, not to be arrogant and stupid (it's a double whammy).

Difficult and gloomy times are these indeed. Mangala Samaraweera, one of the few honest politicians, whom we had has been snatched away from us, and I’m considering myself locked down, although it looks as though even in our ‘lockdown’ Lanka is unique among the nations of the World. True it is that other lands also have suffered set-backs but ours is rendered more confusing because of “double-speak”. Gota and his various cohorts describe the restrictions placed on us in a multitude of ways.
    .
Perhaps, we should consider ourselves fortunate that the confusion is considerably less than in “Biden-abandoned Afghanistan”.
    .
This article is also one of the silver-linings. Dr Janapriya’s earlier articles on the measures necessary to combat the COVID were some of the best that we saw anywhere on the web, and this is as clearly written although he ruefully observes that he “felt retired hurt” after his forays into Standardisation and University Admissions.
    .
I will write more, but warning: even here the conclusion is sombre – three months of lock-downs is his prediction!

      Dear Sinhala Man,
      .
I dont beleive in reincarnation. To tell you, if we would be born again in a human soul, I would love to meet very few incl. my own mother. There, Mangala Samaraweera and Gambadaiskolemahathaya are already listed by me.
      :
As said somewhere else, I have met myself Mangala in LONDON or BONN back in late 90ties. It is true, he would not harbour things to him, whatever he thinks about the topic being addressed, he would not think twice but share it with all. Meaning a true democrat with a big heart. I have no clue, what ” MARAYA” gave him a speedy journey leaving us ina vaccum.
      .
I was born to a buddhist family as many would become buddhists in my home country, but I only focus on the ” meditation part” of buddhism along with true teachings of LORD BUDDHA. As Mangala made it very clear a tiny group, by name ” SANGA CHEEWARADHARIYAs have become the cheap prostitutes of Rajapakshes criminal politics as of today.
      :
Those who express truths but truths, are being attacked by stupid people dominated srilanka.
      :
The same is with our Ranjan Ramanayaka today.

I do not know the medical specialisation of this author. Previously I have learnt some from his coherent articles. However I now detect only bitterness and frustration in his words, and a lament that he has been sidelined. It would have been better if he had emphasized epidemiological or virological content here than resorting to mere criticizing, however bad the country’s regime is, where the bull’s work is done by the donkey..

Lasantha and Simon here is an example. In Kerala India , a state comparable to Lanka current infection is 25 to 30 thousand and death rate close to 200 whereas in Lanka government is reporting 200 deaths to less than 5000 ( max 10 000) infected. Though the figures may not be accurate they test 10 times more people than Lanka. Government Health services in Kerala is much larger than Lanka and most private hospitals too , are treating patient now.

        Dear Chiv,

thanks very much for your information. This is very important to all of us.
Yes, it is correct to compare it with that of KERALA.

My anger is, even if the rate has reached to alarming levels, srilanken media allow senior ministers of SB DISANAYAKA nature to mislead the nation ; In fact, he added to the press day before yesterday ” this is not a serious disease, similar to common cold- and why to take it serious etc… in the same time, he reiterated that 2% would die of COVID….. the bugger did not care about 2% would be 20 000/million and it would be 22 x 20 000 /srilanka (considering the island population is 22 mio).

To my anger, these men, become vocal remain unhurt by COVID 19. Wasidewa, Aluthgamage and the like bunch were escaped by COVID while golden heart bearer Mangala was taken away from us.

LM , in my own way I have raised my concerns repeatedly here in CT from the time it was reported in Wuhan..As a treating physician I also sharad my experience and knowledge gained from treating Covid affected patients. Several months ago, I warned of a potential health crisis in Lanka. In contrary to what people think, many of us/ doctors too are affected by the lockdown. Overall patient visits are less than 60 % of average for past 2 years and falls drastically during lockdown. Our income too is anywhere from 50 to 75 % of what we earn. Regardless I will continue to raise concerns as this author.

When Delta variant of Covid was playing havoc in India, I wrote in this column that this has been genetically modified to target Indians and others with genetic similarity with Indian will also suffer similar fate and for Sri Lankans to be aware of this. This is what is happening now, and unfortunately country does not have adequate finances to import equipment (ECMO and Hyperbaric Oxygen chamber) and medicines (Toccilizumab) which are necessary in refractive cases to prevent deaths.

Now when the statistics (even doctored) show a steep high range, everyone accepts that the situation that could have been averted has got out of control. The politicians on the Government side admit it with the tongue-in-the-cheek style saying: “We may have missed out and made mistakes, but we have always tried to correct the course”. These expressions we hear from those politicians representing the Government at various TV “Talk Shows” and “Debates”. That “Hunbugary” is “Genetic” o them.

At the start of the Pandemic, we noticed, the heightened spirits of the Government to promote locally brewed herbal medicine, (e.g. Dahammica Peniya, etc) produced by Ayurvedic Practitioners as well as the “Fake Hela Veda” (unregistered) brigade. The “Marketing” of such products was undertaken by Ministers (including Mahachariyas) and even the Speaker of the House joined that campaign. This “Generated” is a very lucrative business and even today it is being carried out on large scale. There is one such claiming to have produced a “Soupe” and a “Capsule” that would completely cure COVID 19. He even requests the Government’s support to “Export” it and vows to fill our “Foreign Reserves” with million and billion of “Dollars”. Those video clips are widely published on “Youtube”

    Hello Dr, J,

If you cannot take retirement from writing, why did you not write Sinhalese’s lion part of history in the letter that you have written to US congress?

I don’t want Dr Janapriya’s writing on ethnic affairs.
      .
But what he writes on the pandemic was very good. He appears to have almost fully recovered from the mauling he got from large cats of all sorts.
      .
However, he’s a sincere man, and not anybody’s proxy.
      .
He’s been a good doctor and surgeon. Please respect him for that.
      .
US has become a sick joke owing to Afghanistan..

if he or she keeps on writing on any stuff beings again but in their late/mid septagenarians, worked for their professions for such a long time, nevertheless, not to have grasped the little is beyond my comprehension.

“However, he’s a sincere man, and not anybody’s proxy./He’s been a good doctor and surgeon. Please respect him for that”

Without a reliable source, I would not recommend anyone being good or bad. Were you one of his patients ?

Not only US but powerful EU countries have become a sick joke following Taliban s victory.

Apologies: my previous post was incomplete as it was accidently released. Please see corrected below.

JANA-APRIYA ( the name alone says it all) or the like senior citizens@
if he or she keeps on writing about any stuff being against the minority srilankens, they just behave as if they have not grasped it at all. Conditioned mind set would not allow them to see it beyond..
          .
However they are now in their late/mid septagenarians; many of these men worked for their professions for such a long time; and they should have met various kinds of personalities in the course of their times passed sofar. Like the dog’s tail would not be straightened even if it would have been kept in a bamboo sheath, these men would never subject to any palpable improvement in their thinking.

        Dear sincerely generous leelagemalli,
        .
For the tenth time I charge you with naivety and immaturity. I recently discovered that the man who for fifty years I regarded as the greatest philosopher, Immanuel Kant, “endorsed racist and sexist views during the very years (when) he formulated his egalitarian moral principles.” However, “around his 70th birthday, Kant dropped the thesis of racial hierarchy and began to criticize European colonialism”.

“Janaps” is older, and I haven’t known him long. He will resist my efforts to “reform” him, but GambadaIngirisiIskoleMahaththaya will try!
        .
From another angle: how fortunate you are to comprehend these five minutes in the original German, whilst we must be content with the Brits’ translation!

I’m sure that you know that, and we can all hear it, whilst poor deaf Ludwig couldn’t. Hear the stupendous love for us all – yet he quarrelled with many.
        .
Naughty man! Don’t you remember how both of you co-operated in communicating to Sinhala readers, here?

Why do you want him to do that?
Are you here like some of us here who are mostly here for amusement– but for the occasional serious exchange of views.

        SJ,

Firstly, I am not here for amusement.

        May be you.

When some one states their history for claiming historical ownership of someone else land, then it must be full account.

Why is that you get upset when legitimate questions are raised against Sinhalese and their history?

I do not see the same upset from when Sinhalese in CT even defend their lies against Tamils.

I am most of the time.
Quite often people here think that they are serious but make laughable comments.
          *
Look at how some others respond to your invitation to Dr J: They take it seriously and scream OH NO.
Mine was a very charitable interpretation.
If you are serious about your invitation to the good doctor….
          (I say no more.)

The Author has summed up the following “bungles and fumbles of the government”.
    *
    1. Navy sailor saga: April 2020 event
    2. Great Kandakadu debacle: July 2020 event
    3. Trans-Lanka Funeral of Thonda: June 2020 event, fortuitously no impact.
    4. General elections: August 2020 event, with seemingly no impact
    5. Garment Factory brings delta: October 2020, with impact on a stretch lasting until March.
    6. Bio bubble tourism: February to May 2020, but no serious impact reported
    7. Hijacked vaccination programme: The impact on infection is doubtful.
    8. New Year relaxation: A very serious blunder, whose impact began to decay fast by June 2021.
    *
Do they have direct bearing on the strongest infection wave that started in July 2021 with no let-up in sight?
The surging daily death rate reached three times the peak of mid-June and still pushing.
Overall case fatality rate (CFR) which rose from 0.2 in November 2020 but stable around 0.65% in May 2021 but has risen since to 1.95%, with an average CFR of a little over 3% for 25 July to 25 August, and a daily value dancing between 3.4 and 4.4% in the past seven days.
    (continued)

Can the Delta mutant explain this large CFR? (All but the worst cases in Asia are well below 2%. (Rather comically the number reported for 26th was ZERO in the DM).
      *
I doubt if the failures listed by the author are of direct consequence to the huge wave that started in July 2021.
      *
We know that the government had messed up in the past. Since end of June it appears to have got its act together with the vaccination programme with which it had made good progress. It also seems to have acknowledged the worth of the public health sector.
      *
Lock-down alone is no real protection from any long drawn epidemic.
There are more meaningful options: either (1) achieve herd immunity or (2) use effective medication.
The misery caused by lock-down is worse than that due to the virus.
Health has a strong social dimension that not many medical professionals seem to recognize.

How UK achieved their herd immunity was only through strict guidelines. I was supposed to travel to LONDON last week, but later decided to wait another month, however my colleagues travelled and let me know it was all smooth. Only at the begining of August, UK allowed entering non-UK but EU citizens without prechecks to go through respecting their quarantining measures which would keep any traveller in a quarantine atleast for 10 days.
        :
The same was the case in Germany. Yet today, german hospitals and other working places, they are very strict with their covid restrictions. Doctors that keep away in hospitals ( for summer vacations or various other reasons) have to go through PCR tests weekly. Some external visitors to clinics with full vaccinations, do need to show their PCR negtive results taken within 24 h at the entrances. Parking houses and any other premises, it is a must to wear a mask of high quality. Supermakerts would not tolerateyet today, ones without masks…people themeselves would loud at the other, if anyone found without a mask… . entering with a trolly is a must to many supermarkets yet today with over 70% being fully vaccinated in Germany….. some super markets would expect customers to have made pre- registrations if they want to buy some items.

Do smoking years ago have direct bearing on recently diagnosed terminal Lung Cancer ??? Wish medicine could have been that simple and straight forward so that, we do not slog half of our life time.

Obviously Dr.Janapriya, has quoted “previous bungles and fumbles” to show GOSL did not learn anything from those, which could have helped immensely in managing current cycle. In contrary GOSL focused on entertaining public with their paniya, rituals, shuffling of ministry among many other comedy shows. He never mentioned those having direct consequence to current wave. He also DID NOT say “since end of June GOSL appears to have got it’s act together with the vaccination program, making good progress but a huge wave started in July.???? (according to Prof SJ, please refer to those exact words before commenting). Is it a surprise why Lanka is in such mess ??? Appears Lankan variants are equipped with AI and super computers.
