CJ’s Husband Was Our Man, We Quietly Covered It Up, But UNP Wanted Impeach CJ – MR

By Colombo Telegraph

“The NSB share deal became a big crisis in the country. It was newspaper headlines every day. So I summoned the relevant people and got them to return the money and cancel the transaction. We quietly covered it up, that is how it should be done after all, he is our man (ape miniha),” President Mahinda Rajapaksa said yesterday.

Speaking at the opening of the Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka building in Colombo President Rajapaksa said that it was the UNP that first spoke of an impeachment motion against the Chief Justice after the NSB transaction, he said.
“This is the Chairman we appointed. This is the Chief Justice we appointed,” he said.  At the same event, the President said that he would appoint an independent committee to review the PSC report on the impeachment of the Chief Justice, in order to ‘satisfy his conscience’.

Sir if you start covering up for all your men what will happen to us? Most of the men have no formal education. Losses in the institutions they run are in the billions. You keep covering up saying “ape miniha. Sir we voted for you. What about us ? Are we not your people voters non voters and all?
You also forgot to mention , who gave this man orders to do this transaction. Another “ape miniha” who did those shares belong to one more of those”ape miniha”
We did not trust you with our precious vote for you to cover up for thugs, hooligans and donkeys. Even the donkey who gave the order, who has lost billions for the country , is not qualified to the job he has undertaken to do. Hence the mess.
You and some of your ministers, pardon me they are all ministers keep saying this country is booming , development is rampant ” Siri Lanka Shining” why do you think we, are not feeling this buoyancy? Is it only for “ape minissu”.

The president has to understand it is not ‘Apey Miniha’ and ‘Covering up’ politics that the people are demanding. They want all ‘Hora Minihas’and ‘Kudu Minihas’ to be ‘Uncovered’ and ‘kicked out of public life’, for governance to improve. This is the new war the people want.

Dr RN – You say “They want all ‘Hora Minihas’and ‘Kudu Minihas’ to be ‘Uncovered’ and ‘kicked out of public life’, for governance to improve. “

In that case most of his lot, including himself and his brothers will have to go, don’t you think?

Dr RN is one of the most disgusting individuals you might come across on this forum. He has no principles; his only conviction is to lick the AH of Rajapakse brothers day & night endlessly.

The nom de plume ‘Real Pissa’ would have suited you better! Did you understand what you were commenting on? It appears that you are one of those Jack in the box types organized to engage in cheap diversionary tactics.

Where was Dr R N when Duminda – the murder suspect – was flown out via K’naye international airport to Singapore at the expense of the tax payers? Of course, he (Dr R N) would have been busy licking the AH of Rajapakse brothers!!!!

          Peter,

Every accused is presumed to be innocent untill proven guilty! This will include Duminda as well.

too much appe’ kama too little manussa kama! The cover up of the NSB deal the beneficiaries of the transaction (cant name as this will not get approved) were part of the mafia/ cartel of the stock market. they were aware of the intent to buy into CF and the price ceiling they then played the pump and dump and profited in the end. Old time school chums, cricket buddies, the CJ’s hubby was no leading star as far as grey cells were concerned. Just look at the track record. He was a scape goat for a scam. The last transaction before the collapse. Investigate all public funds invested in the market. Prior to buying by them the cartel/ mafia were active driving prices up creative a frenzy profiting. look at the prices today people and funds that bought are left with dud stocks.
Guess who is the God father, not Al Capone, no not Al Pacino but our very own Chandiya .

Its a shame that professional bodies like ICASL invite these morons who are unethical and undemocratic thugs and drug money launders to address professional body and a one that is to act like a watchdog and transparency.

Yes, cover-up all frauds committed by any as far as they remain your ‘yes men’ and carry out your wrong operations. Once they differ then lynch them as much as possible. Is this responsible leadership? What a shame for the Sri Lankans in the twenty-first century when there is serious thinking of all over the world to provide responsible leadership. We are going back-wards in our moral, governance and leadership standards. If this trend continues in time to come we will see only those concrete structures and carpet roads which are very much boasted as development would remain when all human standards have fallen.

Passing the buck as usual. Why does he not say that the buck stops here without trying to find scapegoats for this fiasco. Now he is trying to wriggle out without any loss of face but it won’t be sucessfull, because if the CJ’s husband was asked to sell the shares to kudu duminda’s brother at a high price by the Rajapakshe”s to cover his medical expenses in singapore, then why should the CJ just tolerate her husband to get a bad name as a bribe taker for the rest of his life.So she will stick to her guns and the only way out for Mahinda is to admit why ‘apey miniha’ sold the shares and clear his name. This time the use and dispose condom theory did not work as usual and Pradeep Kariyawasam had a powerful ally in his wife and she in turn had powerful allies in the bar association that is going to give trouble for her successor and MR is trying desperately now to stop the shit hitting the fan with the room full of the Rajapakshes in it.

CJ has no choice but to go on the path she has decided to tread in order to clear her husband’s name and MR is trying to make a deal for her to sacrifice the husband and make out what is in a reputation after all because “look at us,we have no reputation at all but see we have everything we want,so come and join us and become apey miniha again, don’t worry about little things like name and reputations etc.

“CJ’s Husband Was Our Man, We Quietly Covered It Up” – MR

Does this man have the faintest idea of what he is saying! has he lost his wits completely? or has his understanding of right and wrong flown so far out of the window that he thinks anything he says is OK as long as HE says it? It’s time some enterprising publisher brought out a little red book of HE’s remarks before he hires a censor to stop him saying what he shouldnt! A censorious adviser! Would GLP be the man for the job?

A simple village man leaving alone the educated would be laughing of the response, and that too, addressing the Chartered Accountants Society, where auditing and financial regulations are the cornerstone of the profession. This says a lot of how the country is being governed. No wonder the ordinary people have to pay for the rulers sins. I think we are now witnessing “absolute power corrupts absolutely”.

What fucking bullshit is this? This shameless corrupt president wanted to remove CJ becuase of Z-score and Divinaguma confrontation and now this bugger is desperately trying to wash his hands by passing the blame to UNP! Have these fuckers listened to UNP ever before even for a minor thing let alone an impeachment case? Shameless loser!

“We appointed the CJ” is a poor reflection of the political set-up in any civilised country. This is something that should come from established conventions, seniority and procedures like our own Judicial Services Commission – now virtually killed. In such a set-up
the integrity of the independence of judicial services the public expects is upheld. Sometimes earlier here, in India, the USA there is some effort to interfere with the appointment of the highest postion in the judician process but this is, invariably, settled amicably and often satisfatorily without harming the system. Sadly, the Rajapakse Family has ruined the system to such an extent it will considered normal even if Kudu Mervin is appointed CJ.

While I notice the legal fraternity is making a few squeaks here and there on the CJ impeachment effort, what they should have done was to have brought the roof down when the President, in poor taste, illegally appropriated the Attorney General’s Dept and brought it under his sarong. That was the beginning of the rapid decline of our once respected legal system. It will soon be Buddist Sinhala sharia.

” It will soon be Buddist Sinhala sharia “.

And this is where we are heading, just as Egypt is and Syria will be. A democratically elected theocracy.

Beware the Non Buddhists in the motherland, your time to feel the pain has come.

Unfortunately you have spilled the truth. Covering up, not only CJ’s husband, but also your brothers, Ministers, etc. But, the funny part is even for that you are blaming UNP. We as a Sri Lankans, strongly condemn your speech. Mr. President, you as a responsible person making such a speech is not acceptable. Mervyn is better i suppose…

“We quietly covered it up, that is how it should be done after all, he is our man (ape miniha).” I was disgusted, but not surprised. I believe the President deliberately made this statement at a function sponsored by the professional body of the Chartered Accountants, that “provides financial knowledge and guidance based on the highest professional, technical and ethical standards”. Drunk with power, Sri Lankan Presidents make this kind of statements from time to time to justify their action or inaction. They don’t think that such statements are unbecoming of a president of Sri Lanka. For instance, this is what J.R. Jayawardene told Ian Ward of London’s Daily Telegraph in July 1983, “I am not worried about the opinion of the Tamil people, now we cannot think of them, not about their lives or their opinion … really if I starve the Tamils out, the Sinhala people will be happy.”

The people who elected this moronic crook to be their president should hang their heads in shame. The man is protecting crooks, thieves and murderers because they are “ape miniha”. Those who are supporting Rajapaksa are real idiots who have no concern or love for their country or their fellow Sri Lankans.

Something seriously causing trouble in president’s speech making. He is
out of control of his speech. His subconscious mind throws him unbalanced.
He not only admits about “Ape miniha,” also talks about how he functioned
irresponsibly as an opposition member, opposing everything for the sake
    of opposing.What a betrayal!He definitely doesn’t have enough good
substance. In front of JRJ and Gamini,he’s definitely no match.

Taking the Prez’s words out of context and having a go at him is laughable.

Suprise to hear that some of these supposed to be well bred and well read posters don’t know that the West ,they try to imitate also appoint their party hacks or financiers to plum jobs.

CSX is the domain of the UNP supporters.Even among them only a handful are involved in making real moolai.

CJ and the hubby although from the proletariat side of politics decided to become the new rich or richer.

UNP treasury spokes person, tried to talk down the CSX after the demise of the LTTE, mainly to hurt the Economy and prevent the Foreign money coming in.

This so called whizz kid perhaps didn’t realize that he was hurting only his own backers and financiers as the great majority, perhaps 99 percent of the inhabitant population had nothing to do with the share market until the “Hubby” did a dodgy deal with poor mums and dad life savings.

And these mums and dads will be thankful to the Prez for saving their hard earned dough.

This proves that he covers-up all the wrong-doings of “ape minissu”. There is a big question mark to his honesty! Themortal sins of Duminda and Mervyn are also covered by him because they are “ape minissu”. So the laws apply only to the others!

Is this not the equally cunning and clever yet metaphorically deaf, dumb and blind VP’s and his human shields Karmic vengeance from the grave as well as to the nearly 30 odd western nations that helped defeat the LTTE? When will the fruit ripen like an Arab nation for them to do something and get rid of old armaments in a manner similar with the avatars of VP and their cohorts? Or are they waiting for yet another spring cleaning far worse than all the bloodshed the G’sOSL have seen to-date? Yet we must not lose a balanced perspective as in the following pearls of wisdom.

    “WHO ARE POLITICIANS?!

    The problem is universal
what happens if a politician drowns in a river? That is pollution.
What happens if all of them drown? That is solution!!!
We hang the petty thieves and appoint the miserable, the uncompassionate, weak, corrupt, incapable and incompetent to public office.
~Aesop, Greek slave & fable author
Those who are too smart to engage in politics are punished by being governed by those who are dumb.

    ~Plato, ancient Greek Philosopher
Politics is the gentle art of getting votes from the poor and campaign funds from the rich, by promising to protect each from the other.
~Oscar Ameringer, “the Mark Twain of American Socialism.”

I have come to the conclusion that politics is too serious a matter to be left to the politicians.

Every Leader of any country appoints a bunch of “Apey Minissu”. However the appointees by MR are not for any ability, in most countries, only the level of sycophancy. We are therefore left with rotters in every sector, and every appointment be it to banks or corporations or for that matter ministries and their secretaries, bar a few exceptions!

    Shall we solve this riddle:
The husband was appointed as Chairman of another State Institution when he was removed from the former on allegation of unauthorised Share purchases. Knowing this the President allowed the appointment where the husband is alleged to have engaged in a similar but serious deal in collaboration with a close acquaintance of the President.

The wife was appointed as CJ by the President knowing well that here initial appointment as Judge of the Supreme Court ignoring other Seniors was being questioned widely.

In this situation the Supreme Court delivers the judgement on the Divineguma Bill which is unfavourable to the Govt. as it expected the CJ to influence the other Judges to decide in favour because she is under pressure. The Govt. is taken by surprise and is angered by this.

It does not need much thinking to solve the riddle as to why all these manipulations were done.

    • 0
      0

If a country is governed by crooks who manipulates cannot be considered to be a good leader who will steer
      the country to achieve prosperity.
It should be noted that all these manipulations are for the local crowd so that they could be bought over for just Rs.500. Any number of fastings in front of UN Office or anywhere else or organizing protests at the Newton Circle against the US resolution in March at UNHRc, did not bring any result to MR
