Dayan Jayatilleka, The Incorrigible Nitpicker

By Granville Perera

Dayan Jayatilleka, the incorrigible nitpicker’s performance at the Nugegoda meeting of the United Peoples Freedom Alliance (UPFA), organized by the discards of the Sirisena coalition to bring back the tyrannical Mahinda Rajapaksa as the Prime Ministerial candidate at the next general elections, could have put Joe Abeywickrama’s best cinematic performance to shame.

He was tasked to read out a simple message from President Mahinda Rajapaksa, and our dear Dayan, the nitpicker takes the podium, reads out the message with such drama, that Mahinda Rajapaksa, if present in person would not have been able to perform better with such rhetoric exhilaration. A nomination for the next Oscars would be very much in line.

Dayan JayatillekaDayan, continues to be a political thorn, as far as the majority of Sri Lankans are concerned. His aggressive attacks and accusations on the Mahinda Rajapaksa administration after his un-ceremonial dismissal from his diplomatic postings in Geneva and Paris brought a lot of sympathy towards him as he did well to defend Sri Lanka in Geneva at the UNHRC sessions, when he was functioning as the permanent representative of Sri Lanka. His sudden turn around to stand by Mahinda and defend him at any cost has exposed his hidden agenda of being the “wolf in sheep’s clothing”, or was it another Vasudeva gimmick to continue milking state resources to replenish his thirst for luxury.

The media, unfortunately has played right in to Dayan’s agenda and has provided him with much space to achieve his hidden objective of portraying Mahinda Rajapaksa as the savior of the nation. Two private television channels, primarily are the cause for this mediocre political analyst to gain so much prominence. One channel of-course has an axe to grind with Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and will use anyone or anything to destroy Ranil. What they failed to achieve with millions worth of financial backing and airtime through Sajith Premadasa, Maithri Gunaratne and Shiral Lakthilake, they are probably succeeding through Dayan Jayatilleka. Dayan conveniently ignores the responsibilities of Rajapaksa as President who failed to ensure that rule of law prevailed, democracy, human rights, independence of the judiciary, police and media are prerequisites for an enlightened society to live peacefully. He had been trained to lie for his country in his diplomatic postings and now he is using his newly acquired skills to lie to the nation about a despotic leader, who along with his family has looted enough to buy a few Islands in the Seychelles and live in luxury for generations to come.

I consider Dayan to be an extremely intelligent and capable intellect, but his sudden bootlicking of Mahinda has turned his former colleagues and friends in media and civil society to look at him with total disdain. A man who stood by democracy, human rights and ethnic harmony has overnight joined a bigoted band of political discards to spearhead a racist and extremist campaign to bring back a tyrannical leader, Mahinda Rajapaksa back in to power to meet their narrow personal objectives.

Dayan’s lost love for Prime Minister; Ranil Wickremesinghe is no secret. He despises Ranil as if he is a scourge that would destroy him. This dates back to many years and it is difficult to fathom as Dayan was also a stooge of the late President Ranasinghe Premadasa, and Ranil was an ally of Premadasa when Lalith Athulatmudali and Gamini Dissanayake challenged and battled for the UNP leadership. Dayan is a habitual betrayer, and history is clear about his betrayal of Vijaya Kumaratunga’s Sri Lanka Mahajana Party when he crossed over to support Ranasinghe Premadasa after he returned from exile in South India. He left the Sri Lanka Mahajana Party voluntarily but not without betraying Vijaya Kumaratunga, which led to his killing in February 1988. So, few expected him to continue his hatred towards Ranil, but this wound seems to have festered beyond healing.

His support and commitment to the 13th Amendment that also cost his lucrative position in Geneva should have made him friends with the United National Party (UNP) and Ranil Wickremesinghe, but it seems that, his support for it was purely to satisfy his handlers in India. On the other hand, it is also alleged that he pissed off the Israeli’s that cost him his job as the permanent representative in Geneva. Whatever, are the reasons for his dismissal, his arrogance and superiority complex in him that is the root cause of his diplomatic debacle.

Dayan is the latest one in the discredited and bankrupt ‘socialist’ politicians Sri Lanka has produced:

The list goes; N M Perera, Colvin R de Silva, Vasudeva Nanayakara, and several others I have missed.

This is also a reflection of the events/persons in the international arena where socialists/communists have turned hypocrites or worse still, have become bed fellows of capitalists and fascists.

Look at Russia, China and Cuba with its poster child, Fidel Castro who was a champion of freedom fighters, have now turned into be a supporter of dictator Mahinda Rajapakse’s regime!

If the Sinhalese people vote Mahinda back to power, which most likely they will do, they the the ones to be blamed, but it is the Tamils, Muslims and Christians who will face the piper Dayan’s music and his Master’s devil dance.

Joseph Goebbels, the German politician and Reich Minister of Propaganda in Nazi Germany from 1933 to 1945 would cry if he were alive today to hear Dayan surpassing him in the art form that he perfected!

Anyone sane would go upset when thinking about DJ’s credibility on the curernt politics of the nation.

Alone to read out the communique of MR on Nugedoga Stage while no active SLFPers were found to do it – though many SLFPers atteneded the rally, I believe, anyone sane would find a greater mistake.

Either Dayan Jayathilaka is fully sick being fallen in a mental asylum or he has turned into full malicious mode. Latter should be the case when going throough his articles added alone TO CT forum within the last 10 days alone.

What if DJ would react in favour of the current govt ?

Instead of his efforts to sit with the dogs – his analyses proves – for him no matter anyone or his fans would say anything but to go against Ranil W ?

Why has he been making every effrot to bring Rajpaakshe back while almost high profile unthinkable level of corruption had been led by MR himself not taking any actions against his cronies ?

How come Sajin – the baggage boy to have million worth check books so that he can pay his bills even after the new goverment is elected ?

Who is behind the business being made by Sajin Vaas, and why does it that difficult yet to react against Sajith tracing all the money plundering being carried out by Rajapakshe clans.

Why do they agree when giving 3 MONTHS leave to Basil the man who betrayed and looted the state treatury to that manner ?

Why was that Yoshita Rapakashe allowed to leave the country while complaints against him was being investigated ?

What would Rajapakshe as Adampbara thaththa would explain the nation, in Yoshita ‘s leaving ….. I thought the president of the country would react exemplary.

What would all othose blind folders voters that voted for the Rajano utter today. ?

The names ” Dayan Jayathilaka ” – political scientist , so called analyst, political veteran will all be part of the history- people will make every effort to forget it soon now.

When looking at the way DJ has been behaving – not second to Wimal Buruwanse sends a greater message- either he is mentally sick or a born
malicious person who would work only for selfish agendas.

Folks, wake up, if Prez MY3 WOULD offer him a good post in the new regime, DJ would go on licking the asses of the the current bunch to the very same manner he did it with MR and his clans.

He has no principles.. that he has proved by all silly behaivours since the new govt is formed.

But I love all guys that work with heart and soul to find good and sustatinable solutions to the lanken problems – that MR and his fully ignonorance has created in the aftermath of civil war.

MY3 WOULD NEVER FALL TO THAT LEVEL – reward and silence… that he has proved to the nation. I think he has all MAHATHMA qualities. Last weeks trip to india – using a normal plane instead of booking entire plain for his tour – further pointed out – we the developing folks need more funds and can rise up through austerity measures not by Mahinda Rajapakshe Dansal culture.

This bloodsucker is set on nitpicking in terms of Ranil wickemasinghe.

His archives of articles to CT alone prove that DJ should have a list of revengeful items heaped against RW from the childhood on.

Sometimes, there is no reason but he is against RW… I have been searching the real reasons – but still to be found why ? I know myself RW would never attack the other as he has been atacked ?

His turn will come, just like every liar, trickster, and every con-artist propagandist’s.

DJ is crying for his supper and let him live on this dream of seeing MaRa return as the executive PM.

A political stooge with a lust to kiss the backside of dictators starting from Premadasa and more recently with Rajapaksas probably knows the good things that comes up in with it.

This man have lost any credibility he ever had and finally thrown into the political waste bin like Waasidewa.

Granville, thank you for being bold and exposing this [Edited out] who is hell bent on destroying the new found peace in sri lanka under maithri. They want to bring back Mahinda not because they love him, but they cannot survive without the perks and privileges of office that they have got used to. Dayan is dreaming of another diplomatic posting under MR as prime minister and that would be a dream that he would never realize

I am not going to waste my time reading anything this self-proclaiming self-centered, attention seeking Dayan Jayatlleke writes. From his writings on CT in convoluted english, all I gather is that he is happy to promote anything whete the millions of people will remain in darkness, with no education and no advancement. I don’t think even one he mentions the word unity when he laments and wails about how wrong everything is. Frankly, we are fine here and we don’t need the advice of pundits like him to tell us how we should love or hate our country and the people.

Asides that, that shiny suit…. It is rude if I say something about it:)

DJ seems to think that, with a PhD and the ability to quote from one source after another, he is some deep thinking social scientist. He is just another political carpetbagger, another opportunistic fellow, for how else can he be in denial of the corruption and the misdeeds of the MR regime to want to have MR back at the helm? And MR is the man who unceremoniously kicked him out of his Geneva posting. Isn’t there something called self-respect?

“He left the Sri Lanka Mahajana Party voluntarily but not without betraying Vijaya Kumaratunga, which led to his killing in February 1988.”

Just this one allegation “betrays” the tissue of lies, arrant nonsense and utter ignorance that constitute this article by Granville Perera, whoever he or she may be. When Vijaya was assassinated by the JVP, I was not even in the country. I was in clandestine political activism in India. I joined the SLMP in late 1988 after Ossie Abeygoonesekara and YP de Silva, leaders of the SLMP came over to India to invite me to do so in keeping with the explicit expectation of Vijaya which the latter had declared at his last Politbureau and Central Committee meetings in early 1988.

I supported Premadasa within and outside the SLMP in the excellent company of SLMP leader and Presidential candidate Ossie Abeygoonesekara, who was to mount Premadasa’s stage as the main orator next to the President himself.

Sach, I know this [Edited out] DJ ever since he betrayed my colleague Vijaya some 25 years ago. If not for people like DJ, Vijaya Kumaratunga would have made the difference in this country. He was no intellect but he understood the needs of the people. These scavanggers who have been prying on all leaders are the cause of this countrys downfall. So, dont tell me about DJ, if you are not DJ himself

              such,

Please refrain from exhibiting your pathetic existence on a public forum. Granville Perera has basically accused DJ of betraying Vijaya Kumeratunga resulting in his killing. This is a serious allegation to which DJ has no answer; here we have you being pedantic about something. It basically sums up as to what you are about. You defend DJ with tooth and nail because he stands on the chauvinistic platform that is endeavouring to deprive the Tamils their due rights. What does this make you?

                Dear Burning Issue,

Re “…… to deprive the Tamils their due rights”

If the Tamils ask for due rights a majority of the Majority will readily give that. But do they do that? The following stats say they don’t. In fact it shows that the demands are impossible to meet and is GROSSLY unjust.

Is asking for 40% of Lanka, 60% of the coast line and the 200 mile exclusive economic zone and ALL the resources within that Land for the Tamils who live there (7.9%) “Due Rights”?

Tamils in the Northern and Eastern Provinces
                Lanka Tamils 1,598,219
                Indian Tamils 11,940
                As a percent of Lanka’s Population 7.91%

Others Living OUTSIDE North and East 17,742,614
                As a percent of Lanka’s population 87.15%
This includes 7.37% Tamils living outside the N and E ie almost HALF the total Tamil population of Lanka lives OUTSIDE the N & E.

This is an OPEN invitation to ALL.
Can anyone justify the “Due Rights” of the Tamils please.

                Kind Regards,
                OTC

        Granville Perera

Dayan comments, “I was in clandestine political activism in India.”

What was the political activity he was clandestinely doing in Hindia?

Wasn’t it treachery, punishable, locked up in cell and thrown away the keys, ………. who now claimed to have coined several new phrases such as smart ass patriotism, ……. political existentialism, … and more of the same?

“In part a mini-manifesto, my interventions on Smart Patriotism and a New Nationalism represent an attempt at an approach which is classifiable, if one may coin a phrase, as political existentialism.” – Understanding Patriotism, Nationalism & Sri Lankan Identity: A Reply To My Critics

This chappy didn’t coin “political existentialism” as he claims, but it was in existence for many years before Dayan claimed to have coined it. – Would this act amount to intellectual honesty on the part of Dayan?

Dayan needs to be taught what existentialism rally means. It is not “I want my way, now!” or “It is not my fault!” mentality its is about will of the people, which was clearly expressed on 8th January 2015.

For an uninformed mass Dayan’s typing is panacea which does not stand scrutiny, ………. All his past and present typing can be shot to pieces, but its not worth the effort and time.

Here is an excerpt from All About Phillosophy which summarises what Existentialism is and is not:

“Most importantly, it is the arbitrary act that existentialism finds most objectionable-that is, when someone or society tries to impose or demand that their beliefs, values, or rules be faithfully accepted and obeyed. Existentialists believe this destroys individualism and makes a person become whatever the people in power desire thus they are dehumanized and reduced to being an object. Existentialism then stresses that a person’s judgment is the determining factor for what is to be believed rather than by arbitrary religious or secular world values.”

      Dayan,

You fully despise RW. That’s is understandable.

However, you becoming the newly kicked out corrupt dictator’s public mouthpiece? At a gathering of disgruntled, corrupt Rajapassa cronies & outright racists?

You gave voice to scoundrel who are counting on pseudo-nationalism. Their only instrument to propel their search for lost power.

Let us hope they will not rip this country apart one more time, in the process.

It is beyond my comprehension. Why you want to be part of the terrible nightmare Sri Lanka just barely survived.

There were many reasons and contributions from many others for the defeat of terrorism, though the ENTIRE credit has been hijacked by your MR. He was a dictator and it was his greed for unending power that was his downfall.

Really backbone? DO you really think you can talk about a backbone? I made a challenge to you to point at a single anti minority statement from Wimal W’s speech, but you could not. You dont have decency or any humany to acknowldege the tamil racists and terrorists. You are the last to talk about a backbone.

I have stated very clearly I am against any federal system in this country. And this is where this government is going.

And whatever MS and RW said during election, they are supporting the UN investigation in SL.

              • 1
                0

                Sach,

UN is still wanting to investigate only because the regime, despite repeated pledges to investigate, refused to do so – at least refused to do with any credibility what so ever, except making sanctimonious statements. So, don’t blame anyone else for UN’s intended interference.

Had Dayan not blocked the investigation in 2009, wouldn’t the prompt investigation have cleared Sri Lanka given that Dayan, Rajiva, Fonseka, Gota, and perhaps even you were confident no war crimes were committed by the forces – except perhaps a few incidents by a handful of miscreants. And so only those few, if at all would have been aptly held accountable – will it be fair by the victims otherwise?

Also, in the immediate aftermath of the war, internationals would have certainly been considerate of the fog-of-war flexibility in passing judgment – particularly before all the video and photo evidences had come pouring out from the hands of the soldiers themselves, looking for some gratuity only because Gota’s gang left them on the lurch despite their sacrifice of lives, limbs and loved ones!

If Dayan had acted in any fashion with even the remotest consideration or intellect of a civilized, educated, well exposed and a progeny of an outstanding parent, then the country would not have been set in motion towards the wholly destructive path the country has travelled since 2009! It is a miracle and a blessing the ride got cut-short in 2015. But Dayan seems anxious and determined to complete the destruction that he began. What an intellect, what a patriot?

I am not a fan of MR, rather a critic of him. I voted for Maithree as well. I too believed in good governance and good economy. But I could soon understand the real game behind all this.

Please read what Dayan says and see what this gover, UN, TNA does.

You talk about defeat of terrorism and rightly so. And understand we need to protect that victory over terrorism.

                0

Sach, I understand your point. The thing is in defeating terrorism, some bad things also happened. As a government there needs to be some accountability, some acknowledgement (those who did wrong may be reprieved, which is another matter), but it is important that these are investigated in order that the truth is known, in order to bring closure to those who were affected. With terrorist actions there is no accountability but a government cannot do that. MR’s govt glossing over the whole issue with a total denial, and deliberately using the accusations for domestic political gain is not the way to handle it.

                • 0
                  0

Of course accountability should be there. That is why we started LLRC and why UN even acknowledged it. Instead of following LLRC report and acting according to it, this gover is doing the exact thing UN is asking to do.

Sach, You must be a real baby. When did you quit wearing your diapers. You don’t seem to know or understand the grievances of the Tamils. Imagine living under the threat of an army which is hostile. Imagine if you cannot go out in to your garden and pick the fruits from your own garden. Imagine if you become a slave overnight. Imagine if you are a suspect where ever you go. Imagine if you are loaded on to a bus and sent to some place just because you happened to be a Tamil. You wouldn’t realise these if you have not undergone these. We in the south had a taste of this in 1971 and 1989 when 50,000 Sinhala youth were massacred by the Sinhala army. If they could do that to us sinhalese, imagine what they would have done to the Tamil youth. Yes, the army fought terrorism, and dont forget an elected government has responsibilities and adherence to international laws and treaties which the terrorist need not respect. So, anyone committing a war crime will have to face the charges, be they be on our side or theirs. A war crime is a war crime and the chain of command is answerable/. Whether we like it or not, the war crimes will not go away. We have to face it as gallant soldiers if we have nothing to hide. If we have things to hide, so be it.

What all you describe are consequences of waging a war. If I wage a war against the government and the state in any country in any part of the world i would have to undergone what you said.
There is nothing racist or bad about it. You cant start a war and act a victim. As someone else said Tamils enjoy the ‘killing sinhala’ part but when the table is turned they cry victim.

Every grievence you listed is a result of war. If you go and ask the sinhala people who lived in border villages they too lived a horrible life full of danger and uncertainty. But tamils in south did nt face such a situation (except may be when there were suicide bombs)…

People of all races did suffer and it depended on their geograpgical location and not ethnicty. Please be rational.

And the grievence what they say is N and E is a tamil homeland for 3000+ years and they need it. That is their main argument which they bring forward as the grievance. So that is primarily a history debate

Forget all this. Ask the EC to publish the Declartion of Assets
form of MR, that he gave in a sealed envelope and the EC there-
fore claimed it is “secret”. (May be a set of blank sheets) We need to know before the next “Negugoda man” gathering for a public
anaylsis by DJ. (The one read by DJ was not even signed by MR, but a creation of DJ????)

You could be one another to help him wearing his pants properly. That is why I think you have that pain when attacking DJ.

Even anyone with a little brain would see, the bugger DJ is sitting with dogs and betraying entire academic community to this day.

        • 2
          2

Yes, we can see this government is not F….g the people as MR did, and what is needed is for the people to F… DJ

DJ’s analytical incontinence makes it worst.

It is just a betrayal to all those who supported his thoughts earlier.

It is really sad. Not many words I would like to waste for the man s reactions.

Dayan you were not hiding in India your commended were? You were handing in a colombo 7 house in comfort betraying also those who hid you. You are indeed a rare scumbag.

Dayan dear, say something about Rajapakse regime’s corruption….

  • 10

They say, YOU CAN BE KNOWLEDGEABLE WITH OTHER PEOPLE’S KNOWLEDGE, BUT YOU CANNOT BE WISE WITH OTHER PEOPLE’S WISDOM.

DAYAN THE D….. IS A LIVING EXAMPLE.

Many insult and attack Dayan J, but none has countered the points he brings out…

Sachs, you seem to be enjoying the s.. you do for DJ. He is a scumbag and a true nitpicker as the author has clearly dissected. He has been exposed before, but his prostitution at Nugegoda exposes the real tart he is

attack his point, not the man….your attempt at insulting him points you cannot disapprove what he says

      What was the point again?

    • 2
      0

Sach, what is the bloody point he is bringing out, is it his racist support to extremist forces, or is it about his turnaround of the Tamil issue. When he was sucking up to India, he was a strong proponent of the 13A because his RAW agents made sure he parroted whatever they wanted him to say and today, he has joined a bunch of racist elements and now he is singing their song for his supper. Unless it is DJ writing as sach, then you should be better known as suck

      • 0
        1

I think he is still a strong supporter of 13A. Is it wrong of him to point at Tamil racism and eelamists the TNA?

Do you understand you muslims will be the biggest loser in this indian and US arrangement?

Its such a paradox when DJ shares the stage with Gnanasara,WW,UG and claims “its a nationalism that does not seek to dominate the minority”.

Can DJ write something about MR’s non action against the BBS after the aluthgama violance, the nepotism,18th amendment, corruption, and the racism that runs through MR’s veins instead of a non exsisting problem that SL is under serious threat from the LTTE and that MY3,Ranil and CBK are plotting to devide the country.
p.s of course DJ wrote about the aluthgama violance, but avoided blaming MR as much as he did when Lasantha W was murdered.

    • 1

How will DJ write about Aluthgama when he has joing the big bloody suckers and become their mouthpiece. The Muslims in this country will start their prayers again as they did against Mahinda which sent him home, and this time, DJ will end up at the mental hospital in Angoda

Ma Ra should be behind bars at the time of the next elections if only the present government would step up its efforts to pin him down on charges of corruption and other crimes! DJ will simply continue to wail, which no one will take note of!

I have said this before and I repeat, Dayan is [Edited out] not unlike that ubiquitous comis-kaaka.

Everything else is mere smoke and mirrors from this consummate con-artist.

I didn’t know this nitpicker was once given sanctuary in southern India. Was it Tamilnadu? Anyway, Dayan had his baptism to the world of truth when he defied the truth to perpetrate lies in the UNHRC. Some countries bought them, only to realise later what kind of a pathetic liar he was and is. He simply got carried away with his enormous ego and today that bruised ego has taken him to strange lands. I will wish him good luck.

Nit picker or knickerpicker, these guys are creating a dangerous situation. These monsters will make Srilanka into a hell by creating racial hatred. If this is not stopped it will be worse than july 83. Singhalese buddhists should not fall into this trap.

DJ’S PROBLEM IS VERY SIMPLE. HE KNOWS HE WILL NEVER EVER GET A JOB UNDER RANIL AS HIS TRAITOROUS CREDENTIALS ARE WELL KNOWN. HIS ONLY CHANCE IS TO BOOT LICK MR (WHO HAS A SOFT CORNER FOR BETRAYERS) AND HOPE FOR THE BEST. JUST LIKE THOSE OTHER SCOUNDRELS AT NUGEGODA.

  • 8

defend Sri Lanka in Geneva at the UNHRC sessions, when he was functioning as the permanent representative of Sri Lanka.

This is not true my dear.

That resolution was worked out purely by India. Soon after war was over, Mahinda regime had a honey-moon with India.

Dayan has nothing to with Geneva resolutionn in favour of Sri Lanka. He worked as Pion to carry messages between India and Rajapaksa.

So stopp glorigying Dayan for this resolution.

    Be fair,

The best thing that happened to this country is getting rid of MR and cronies.

Some still can’t believe it wanted MR to back. But, I never though the so called Dr DJ too. Realized after he is a simple human being.

How bankrupt are those Nugegoda politicians…. Just imagine what is their chances of being in politics and enjoying perks w/out MR?

Most strangle… The man Vasu with all due respect shouldn’t have been there….. What a NASTY scenario.

DJ, [Edited out] I know you were also part of the naxalite group and that is why RAW smuggled you out to South India, but why would you betray Vijaya. Was it to save your skin? [Edited out]

Our Champagne Socialist continues on his quest, looking for an opportunity to be noticed, looking for one more chance in the saddle. At Nugegoda, he took his place in the line up of yesterday’s men. His theatrics excited the attendant rabble but the rest of the country were counting the wasted hours of honest work that these people could have usefully spent in the service of our thrice-blessed land. DJ’s best days are behind him but he cannot resist one last chance to prove it to us. Give the majority of our people credit for looking askance at the locally peddled forms of ‘socialism’, ‘communism’, ‘marxism’, and the like; all of them so very yesterday.

Dayan is a thankless, untrustworthy, boot licking educated fool. People like him are the reason why Sri Lanka is in this position. These so called self trumpeting educated fools have a superiority complex which is self destructive. Its time the present government investigates the embassy renovation deal that was done during his time.

Mr. Granville Perera: Do I have to consider you to be another “Poor” judge of people and “disgracing” those qualities called “intelligent” and “capable intellect” when you say:

” I consider Dayan to be an extremely intelligent and capable intellect.”

Thank you Granville Perera for calling a spade a spade. Incorrigible knitpicker.

Will the Political Scientist Aka the incorrigible knitpicker, old boy of St Joseph Dr.DJ, care to give his take on the challenge by the ex- police officer MR. K.Krishnadasan to the Ex – DIG Edward Gunawardene on the burning of Jaffna National Library by the armed forces?.

Like Dr.DJ, Ex- DIG Edward Gunawardene is also from the majority community and at the same time old Josephians like Mr K.Krishnadasan.

Like many other CT readers I’m looking forward to Smart Patriot Dr.DJ ‘s sermon on the burning of the Jaffna National Library and Terriotorial Intergrity.

Mr Krishndasan has spoken the truth about the fear he had about the armed forces under MR regime and previous regimes. January 8th has brought the change.

Now why DJ wants MR to be back under SLFP. Is it to undermine MS as the president bring him down and to gain more power as the PM..? Does smart patriot DJ have wisdom to care about the future of Mother Lanka.?

      Ambedkar:

What is your take on bombing of the Temple of Tooth or the Killings at the Sri Mahabodhi? How many school kids did your guys kill at the Fort Railway station bombing?. Your library has been restored, but the kids lives were snuffed out forever?

His support for violent sinhala buddhist nationalism (he probably calls it revolutionary fervor like his friends do)is what places him squarely on the forefront of the deep state formed by sinhala buddhist nationalists.

What is puzzling about Dayan’s affection for the defeated dictator Rajapaksa is that despite being brushed off by Rajapaksa as an NGO operative and sacked from his ambassadorial position, Dayan seems to want this man back in power. Has he no self respect? I think the more likely reason is that Dayan has been a closet Sinhala nationalist and racist all these years and masked it well by being supportive of the 13th amendment.

I still think the description of DJ as the right ball of Wimal is most apt…
