Gotabaya Rajapaksa Wants To End ‘Tyrant’ Regime And Bring Back Peace

Former defence secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa today declared that it was time to end this tyrant regime which came into power in the guise of ‘yahapalanaya’ and restore peace Mahinda Rajapaksa brought to Sri Lanka.

Gota

Gota

“This yahapalanaya regime is much worst than of even Hitler’s rule,” he told news reporters outside the Kaduwela Magistrate Court soon after his nephew, Yoshitha Rajapaksa, along with four others were remanded for allegedly committing financial irregularities at the Carlton Sports Network (CSN).

Rajapaksa went on to say that the arrest was an act of revenge by the current administration led by President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.

“This is what they have been trying to do for the past one year since coming into power, but taking revenge from a child is wrong,” he said.

Rajapaksa added that during the war it was difficult to enlist youth to fight against the LTTE, and then he had personally spoken to Mahinda Rajapaksa and his wife, Shiranthi and requested them to release a son. “I asked them to give me one of their sons so that it can be a boost for other families, and today that child who came to fight the war has been arrested,” he said.

Rajapaksa went on to say that his brother, Mahinda was instrumental in saving the lives of thousands of people, by ending the war. “But, to hurt such a man by arresting his child…., no one will ever approve of this.”

“By saying its Yahapalanaya, they have brought in a very tyrant administration. We must end this and restore the peace that we once had,” the former defence secretary who has been embroiled in the controversial ‘white van’ abductions said.  (By Munza Mushtaq © CT)

      .
Why this guy not yet arrested for using Srilankan Airlines (by diverting the route) to bring a dog from Swiss to his wife?

Maybe he was excused because the dog was brought to kill Tamils.

      :-)

We Sinhalese don’t mind if he bring flight full of dogs Because he killed the top Tamil dog(or GOD)and other dogs so Sinhalese are safe in their mother land.

True MR killed the top LTTEer (as you call top Tamil dog) but he himself went rabid and started biting and killing innocent people; so MR is the top ‘Pissu Balla or ‘Para Balla’ (Par-ayah dog).

We have also not forgotten Gotabaya giving orders to shoot and kill a child Roshan (Katunayake FTZ) and covering up the murder of ruggerite Thajudeen among many other murders he is accused of.

Thisman Gota has no right to talk about tyranny.

Donkey of the nation together with his barbaric brother ruined the nation by 8th of Jan 2015. Today him to call the current administration as tyrany-.. the man should be really brain sick.

Sach, there’s not much of a difference between the LTTE and the Rajapakses, so no need for the comparisons.

However, the one difference is that the Rajapakses usually got someone else to kill those who were kidnapped!

The Tears of thousands of Tamil parents who lost their sons and daughters for the white vans and now the former first lady at the entrance of the prison crying for the release of his son accused of financial accountability. This is Karma.

The ex-DS had to say something to the Reporters, as any silence would
mean defeat? He mention the alleged accused as a child, which may
prompt some to think of Balachandran, a son of V.P and his fate in the
    hands of his agents!

If that’s the case, you can surrender. You and your brother set very wrong precedence to the future leaders of the country. Further, can you fund each and every qualified kids 20 millions and accomodate???? Why for failed Yoshitha?

  • 55
    6

Echoes of the LTTE, who also asked for a child from family. However, they did not spend Rs. 22 million on anyone of them to be on prolonged scholarships at their expense and be kept out of the war. Further, none of them in resplendent uniform, was saluted by the officer grades of the LTTE.

Gothabaya, two buses stopped for you. One to the right destination – to help foster good governance and rule of law. The other to the the wrong destination- to undermine democracy and support a dictatorship that almost destroyed the rule of law. You chose to ride the bus to the wrong destination and have to now bear the pain and even the comforts of our jail. This is unfortunate, because you did much well. But what you did wrong was apparently much more and is now tightening its grip around your neck.

Look who is talking about ‘tyrants’.

Who was the tyrant who enforced the PTA incarcerating hundreds of citizens on mere suspicion, ordered bombing of No Fire Zones, and said “Who is Lasantha?” when asked about Lasantha Wickrematuge’s murder.
He survives, according to reports, outside jail, due to Ranil W.

Yes, Yes GORA, immediately bring in the killer regime with white van abductions, state plundering, racial instigation, rape of innocent women including the rape and murder of foreigners.

What is wrong with our people, they are all turning a blind eye to rule of law taking it’s course. Sure, we are not used to it, isn’t in GOTA.

Marshall all your troops and save MARA family, in the guise of saving Mother Lanka. Modawansa and the gang are waiting in the wings.

You still have time, run now.

    Come, come Mr Rajapakse.

You are being a bit economical with the truth, are you not?

Young Yoshitha was at a loose end, and so was fast tracked into Dartmouth and elsewhere to be ‘made’ into an ‘officer’ and then spent his days as far as possible from the centre of action. He was an adult when he was ‘roped’ in doing all this. If the boy had a back bone he would refused. Don’t insult Yoshitha by calling him a child. He was fully aware that he was there because of circumstances. There must have been hundreds of bright young men in our country willing to, and capable of, doing a better job.

Let Yoshitha defend himself like a man.

      Spring Koha:
I really have to take issue with you when you accuse Gota of “being a bit economical with the truth.” That is an absolute impossibility for one so totally and absolutely amoral and would not know the truth if it bit him in the you-know-wha,DELIBERATELY ignoring it, any vestige of civilized conduct and the consequences thereof.
Remember the time when he had absolute rule of the Matale district and the subsequent discovery of a mass grave containing the remains of 300+ human beings.
That is the kind of individual who deserves the application of the law against him but who for some weird and wonderful reason has not been touched up to now.

Spring Koha, you are right on the button. Well said!

Jim Softly, I am amazed at what you say.

We have had enough of fragmantising. What you advocate will lead to further fragmentizing.

Political leaders, community and RELEGIOUS LEADERS must play a leading role in establishing a just, INCLUSIVE society. A fragmented society serves the good of no-one but fosters fear and suspicion, a breeding ground for intolerance, and ending very likely in bloodshed.

We all need to look forward to a Sri Lanka united and everyone seeking the common good, irrespective of RELIGION, ETHNICITY or CULTURE.

The way the uncle tyrant talks about his nephew is a shame. GoRa tells as if butter wouldn’t melt in his nephew’s mouth.

Karma is at play for what the Ra family did to Thajudeen, Lasantha Wickramtunga, Ekneliyagoda and many others.

Ra family should gracefully retire from politics and embrace real Buddhism like what Emperor Asoka did.

Is the government going to be tough?

Day before yesterday Ranil made a verbal attack in the Parliament against some so called journalists .
    Today Yoshitha was remanded.
Has the government decided to give up its soft attitudes towards those who try to rouse people against it?
    Let us wait and see.

“Is the government going to be tough? “
      I sincerely hope so Mr.Punchisngho.

      2

Punchisingho – Whether they like it or not, the govt. has to take tough
measures as civil rights bodies and the people are watching their per-
formance, closely. The popularity rate of the PM and the President would have gone up, after these arrests were made.Further arrests of high profile cases, which are to be heard, will boost the morale of the
people, as they waited for so long for tough actions taken by the Govt.
against those who ruined the country, financially and brought disrespect to the country ,globally.

The arrest of Gnanassara Thera and subsequent touch action taken by
the govt.to quell the protest of the unruly monks, opened many eyes
and this is also the right time to bring in Fld. Marshall Fonseka,
a military trained man to take care of unruly elements, disturbing
the normal functioning of the govt. Hats off to the judges who took firm actions in their decisions, which are exemplary under the circumstances.

These Buggers have no legs to stand, once the rule of Law starts to grind. They are sadly mistaken if they believe they have a following to back. They believed Ranil’s kindness as a weakness. They will learn the hard way. Curse them for the innocent killings they committed. Feed the Bugger to the Sharks he kept for others. Prageeth Eknaligoda whom they speculated as having left the country on the sly now is confirmed killed because he had connections to the LTTE according to them. Why did they mislead in the first place when PE went missing? This bugger should suffer immensely before he dies.

He (GR) says, I asked my brother and sister-in-law to release a son to the Armed Forces to “encourage the young to join”. Say the parents obliged. But what did you do? From the time he joined the Navy, he was “KEPT OUT” of the war zone, by sending him abroad on training,(that also illegitimate)and spent Rs. 22 million of peoples money, while the rest of the YOUNG who joined, SACRIFICED their LIVES and LIMBS in the Battle Field. Do you know how many are crying today in pain and agony for the loss of husband, father, brother etc. Did any of your family SACRIFICED anything other than to PILFER the Public Coffers? Of course, at least NOW you must be feeling the “PAIN” a LITTLE BIT with this arrest of your nephew; but you will FEEL that PAIN in thousand times more when the rest of the SINS committed by you and the members of the family are dealt with appropriately. I believe you all must pay for those SINS committed from the HIGH SEATS in power. Isn’t it better to avoid these types of pronouncements to the Media and the Public. Please don’t think that the PEOPLE of this country could be FOOLED for ever. It will stop on a DAY and that DAY will be delivered to all of you by the FORCE OF NATURAL JUSTICE if NOT by the Courts Of Justice System.

You must remember how you ordered your henchmen to hurt and harm Our Hero Field marshal Sarath Fonseka.

Now you all must experience and taste the same doze.

Wait for the right time you will be also the same place soon with your henchmen.

Your brother and your entire family introduced the word tyrant to Srilanka. What a joke listening to this wolf in sheeps clothes. Just rewind your camera and look at the number of murders you all committed including journalists. You all made srilankan citizens fled the country. do you all think that srilanka is your fathers property? sad to say this but the bandaranaike, rajapaksha and premadasa families have been curses to our beautiful country.

You all mistook our PM for his patience. He is far more intelligent than you illiterates. Now you guys have to face an angry PM and mind you that side of our PM can be veerrrryyyyy tough to face.

mr gota, by the way your dearest friend field marshal fonseka is going to take over the law and order ministry. All the best ! :)

There is a proverb in Tamil that “Arasan antru kolluvaan, theivam nintru
kolluvar” (The king will kill instantaneously and the god waits for the
right time to kill a person) . I think the right time has come for
Rajapakses. The streams of tears shed by 100,000 widowed women in N/E
who lost their husbands in the brutal shelling during the war will not go unnoticed.
Gota chose a bad joke as he referred to Yoshitha as a child where as
only adults over 18 years of age are taken into armed forces, specially
when recruiting cadets, unless he was enrolled as a ” child soldier ” like what Ltte did. Can he also tell the public where and where he served as a military officer in the country, other than England and Ukraine. The child he may have in mind is Balachandran, 11 years Old son of Ltte leader Prabhakaran, who was shot dead by Gota’s forces while he was munching his potato chips.

Lol did Gota just say that Yoshitha fought in the war?

“and today that child who came to fight the war has been arrested”

Lol what??? That guy lived in more luxury than I did in his luxury cabin at the Navy barracks! If that’s fighting a war then all the millionnaires in the world are fighting wars right now.

I actually laughed out loud when I read that line haha
