Netanyahu’s Madness

By Ameer Ali

Dr. Ameer Ali

Those who want to thwart the possibility of a Palestine State should support the strengthening of Hamas and the transfer of money to Hamas. This is part of our strategy” ~ (Benjamin Netanyahu at a Likud Party meeting in 2019).

Until October 7 there was a symbiotic relationship between Netanyahu and Hamas – a fact hidden from the public. Hamas was created and nurtured by Mossad to checkmate Mahmoud Abbas and preventing Palestinian National Authority (PNA) from creating an independent and sovereign Palestinian state. Hamas was funded by the Netanyahu government in several ways, and one of them was to permit Hamas sympathizers and members to work in Israel and they were paid handsomely. But what Hamas did on October 7, which Netanyahu called Israel’s S11, turned Hamas into a terrorist outfit just as Ronald Regan’s Taliban freedom fighters became terrorists overnight when they demanded US also to get out of Afghanistan.

To Netanyahu therefore what Hamas did on October 7 was a betrayal, but to the citizens of Israel it was a shock. Whether those rocket attacks actually killed 1,400 Israelis as Netanyahu and corporate media claim has not been verified independently. But to the people of Israel the question was how could it possibly have happened, when Gaza for seventeen years been under Israeli blockade with unprecedented electronic surveillance, spies and informants, and an ever-present air force, navy and military? What did go wrong with that security control? Hence, the public demand for a full exposure of what led to that security lapse. What those rocket attacks actually demonstrated beside the carnage was the failure of one man, Netanyahu, and his far-right coalition’s shortsighted strategy of keeping Israel in a state of belligerency until the entire territory of Palestine is absorbed and put an end to the international gimmick of a two-state solution. What Netanyahu had unleashed in Gaza since then was nothing less than genocide with an arrogant disregard to any international law or stipulation relating to the rules of conducting a war.  He has deracinated the entire Geneva Convention and opposition from peace loving Israelis is mounting and according to the latest count his popularity has reached a miserable 26%. The invasion of Gaza and killing of more than 11,000, including children, women and the sick, and the destruction of hospitals, schools and refugee camps – all under an alibi that Hamas terrorists are hiding in them or in tunnels underneath those structures – is, according to Netanyahu, “justified revenge” and President Joe Biden agrees.

What Netanyahu and his Likud Party forgot to notice was how their strategy of building Hamas as a rival to Abbas and PNA backfired. While PNA, at least in Gaza, was losing its popularity and becoming stigmatized as a corrupt political entity, Hamas was gradually winning the hearts and minds of Palestinians and built its strength with a burning desire and dedication to liberate Palestine from Israeli occupation. The 2007 elections brought Hamas to power in Gaza and since then it became Israel’s No.1 enemy and was viewed as a terrorist organization. In spite of Israel imprisoning thousands of Palestinians, freezing Palestinian funds, depriving Palestinian livelihood through settler terrorism Hamas was quietly refining its tactics of resistance. Those rocket attacks on October 7 if anything demonstrates what Hamas fighters are capable of. There is no liberation from oppression without violence and history bears witness to it.

Netanyahu is not prepared to agree to any cease fire because, he considers that it would tantamount to a surrender to Hamas. However, as a gesture to an exasperated and disgusted international community, the White House seems to have persuaded him to agree to a daily four-hour pause allowing trapped Gazans to escape and humanitarian aid to reach the rest. This is a free pass issued by Joe Biden for Netanyahu to do whatever he wishes to obliterate not only Gaza but also the West Bank. Although in excess of one million Gazans so far have been made homeless and although Netanyahu would be happy to see a second Nakba to get rid of all Gazans, Hamas would urge Gazans to stay put where they are. Even if they wish to leave Gaza where would they go? None of the Arab states including next door Egypt are prepared to receive them because, that would mean importing the Palestinian resistance into wider Arab world.  The often piously repeated doctrine of a universal “Islamic Ummah” has lost its substance long ago with the rise of secular nationalism. Yet, it appears that Israel is in secret negotiations with Sissi’s Egypt, which is financially in debt to Israel, to make Sinai the final destination for evicted Gazans. The narrow Raffa corridor would facilitate this exodus.

It is when all this fails that Netanyahu is contemplating of an “indefinite security control” over Gaza, which in other words means infinite control over that territory or virtual occupation.

The Palestinian problem could have been resolved peacefully and long time ago had the 22 or 23 Arab countries (depending on whether one accepts the count by Arab League or UNESCO) with the support of other non-Arab Muslim majority countries remained united and coordinated their stand against the manipulations of an emerging US-led Middle East Order in which Israel would be US’ regional agent. Instead, the Gulf countries in particular, and under the so-called Abrahamic Accords signed on 15 September 2020 between Israel and the seven Emirates of UAE including Bahrain, decided to normalize relations with Israel and thus virtually washed off their hands on the Palestine issue, except to provide moral support.  Recently, the Saudi modernizer Prince Mohamed bin Salman too has joined this gang.  This is the tragedy of Palestine.  These Arab Zombies are the worst enemies of Palestine.  “Zombies, believe me, are more terrifying than colonists”, said Frantz Fanon.

There is no way that the liberation struggle for independent Palestinians would disappear. If anything, it is bound to become a wider and more deadly struggle that would involve the rest of the Aarab world, given the sympathy that Palestine has among ordinary Arabs. Netanyahu’s warning to Iran-backed Hezbollah of Lebanon and skirmishes in Syria indicate that the conflict would soon widen. It was in 1968, after Arafat and his PLO lieutenants hijacked and destroyed an El-Al airplane, that Arafat declared that their entry into Israel was not direct but via the Arab countries. With a growing democratic deficit in the Arab world and increasing popular sympathy towards Palestine, the current war, unless brought to an end soon with justice to the besieged and suffering, has all the hall marks to trigger a wider conflict in that region.  Would that be Arab Spring II?

There is a saying in Latin, Quos Deus vult perdere, prius dementat meaning, those whom God wishes to destroy he first deprives them of reason. Netanyahu thinks that by widening the conflict he could regain his popularity, which is sheer madness.

    Netanyahu’s Madness

China knows the history foresight to be in neutral for preserving its reputation as the leader of the developing world from the day one, and wants to position itself as a champion of any country or people oppressed by the broader coalition of US allies and partners, as well as a fair broker for dispute settlement and resolution.

Chinese foreign policy has always been based on the five principles adopted at the Bandung Conference in 1955.
It supported liberation movements that struggled for freedom from colonial rule. There has been a weakening in such support after Mao. But non-interference is the key to foreign policy.
Its economic strength has made it a credible force in global politics.
But it has made no claim to leadership of any nature. Be it SCO, BRICS, or even B&R partnership based on equality is a guideline that has appeal.
What it will be in 10 years is anybody’s guess. But for now it seems to work.

“But non-interference is the key to foreign policy.”

Of course it is a brilliant policy, however during the war up to 2009 which was supposed to be an internal dispute, and China was supposed to remain neutral but sold:
Chinese Jian-7 fighter-jets, anti-aircraft guns, JY-11 3D air surveillance radars multi barrel batteries, almost all kind of offensive weapons, Chinese APC WZ551, anti-tank guided missiles, rocket launchers and shoulder-fired surface-to-air missiles, deep penetration bombs and rockets, mortar ammunition, night vision devices, artillery, armor, mortars, security equipment, tanks, jets, naval vessels, radars, communications equipment……..

China would go to any length to defend Sri Lanka (its friendly Neighbour) at UNHRC, which is another of its practical “non-interference foreign policy”.

What the hell was Chinese Ambassador doing in the North East in the last few days?

Where was China when people were slaughtered in Sri Lanka between 1971 and 2009 and after?

Mao loyalists (b***s carriers) have huge problems in learning and remembering news.

I did find it hard to believe the quote at the top of this article. But I did research it, and here it is from an unimpeachable source, a Jewish writer in the New York Times:
    https://www.nytimes.com/2023/10/22/world/middleeast/peace-activists-israel-palestinian.html
“Those who want to thwart the possibility of a Palestine State should support the strengthening of Hamas and the transfer of money to Hamas. This is part of our strategy” ~ (Benjamin Netanyahu at a Likud Party meeting in 2019).”
This shows the depths to which extremists like Netanyahu will descend in pursuit of their Nazi-like aim of a pure Jewish State free of Palestinians.
Those who keep trumpeting the virtues of Israel in these pages ought to wake up and see that all the terrorists aren’t on one side.

      OC,

See this article by Brahma Chellaney on The Hill:
      https://thehill.com/opinion/international/4295880-israels-chickens-come-home-to-roost/

It shows how Israeli support for Hamas predated Netanyahu and why they did so. Strangely, though, Chellaney doesn’t prescribe more self-reflection, rationality, and avoiding hypocrisy with a coherent foreign policy, to the West and Israel, only a persuasive campaign against Islamic radicalism.

“This shows the depths to which extremists like Netanyahu will descend in pursuit of their Nazi-like aim of a pure Jewish State free of Palestinians.’

Get your facts straight. According to a “Times of Israel” article, Netanyahu was “quoted as saying [at a Likud faction meeting in early 2019] that those who oppose a Palestinian state should support the transfer of funds to Gaza, because maintaining the separation between the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank and Hamas in Gaza would prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state.”

According to the article, Israel’s alleged support for Hamas has taken the form of allowing infusions of cash from abroad and increasing the number of work permits Israel granted to Gazan laborers “to earn higher salaries than they would in the enclave.”

There are many Arabs (Palestinians) who are citizens of Israel and Israel has no intention of removing them from the country. As for the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, I am sure that, if they ceased hostilities and accepted Israeli rule, they, too, would become citizens of Israel.

It is Hamas and like-minded Palestinians who want a Palestine free of Jews, not vice versa.

Ah yes! There are those who believed that, once the Afghans were delivered from godless Communism by heroic Islamist freedom fighters, they would fall into line and be good members of the free world. That didn’t turn out well, did it?
Why do I get the idea that superior white people/ Jews know what’s good for others?

I wrote: “As for the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank … they, too, would become citizens of Israel.”

Probably the dumbest statement I have ever made in my life for the following reasons:

          1. First, Gazans and West Bank Palestinians generally and some Israeli Arabs (incredibly) think all of Palestine belongs to them, so there is no way that Gazan and West Bank Palestinians will ever accept Israeli rule and citizenship.

          2. Second, this would not end well for the Jews. If not immediately, then over time the Jews would then be outnumbered by Arab Muslims and others, leaving them at the mercy of those who historically oppressed them and even tried to eliminate them. Tolerance, pluralism and democracy are in short supply in current Palestinian or Arab society in general, which are necessary for different ethnic groups and religions to exist side by side peacefully. This move would defeat the very purpose of creating a Jewish state in the first place: to create a safe haven for Jews, who have been historically persecuted in various parts of the world.

Minorities, especially Jews and Christians, have not fared well in Arab and Muslim-dominated countries, as you might know.

            LD,
“then over time the Jews would then be outnumbered by Arab Muslims and others, leaving them at the mercy of those who historically oppressed them and even tried to eliminate them.”
That’s even worse than dumb. Are you seriously suggesting that it was Muslims who historically tried to eliminate them? Was Hitler a Muslim?
            Seriously?
“Jews and Christians, have not fared well in Arab and Muslim-dominated countries,”
Since 1948, yes. But do you even know where Spanish Jews went after being expelled?
Israeli arrogance only leads to normal Jews losing whatever sympathy they had in the past. Almost the entire UN is against Israel. Even Germany is being forced to reconsider its unconditional support.

What did the Arab states try to do and failed in 1948 and three other times later?

Arab mistreatment of Jews and Christians long predates 1948. You will find the article “Jews in Islamic Countries: The Treatment of Jews” at jewishvirtuallibrary. org instructive.

                Leonard, Leonard,
Surely you can do better than quote from a Zionist website on Jewish history?
What do you think even this site carries this this grudging admission:
“While Jewish communities in Arab and Islamic countries fared better overall than those in Christian lands in Europe, ….”
A few hundred murdered over centuries or taxed isn’t comparable to literally millions killed in Germany, Poland, Russia, and other Christian countries.
If I tell you that US Evangelicals are the biggest supporters of Israel in the US, you will accuse me of being irrelevant, stupid, or both.

I referred you to that article because you were evidently unaware of the history of oppression/persecution of Jews in Arab/Muslim countries (You: ” Since 1948, yes”).

The fact that the article is from an Israeli website doesn’t automatically make it unreliable (I told you this before). If you doubt, you could easily cross check with other sources to verify the facts given in the article. Thirteen PUBLISHED sources are given for the info in the article and with the exception of Bat Yeor (four ascriptions) all are NON-JEWISH.

You: “A few hundred murdered over centuries or taxed….”

Here I have to question your comprehension skills or the care with which you read the article.
                  Some extracts:

“On December 30, 1066 … an Arab mob [razed] the Jewish quarter of [Granada, Spain] and [slaughtered] its 5,000 inhabitants.”
“Similarly, in 1465, Arab mobs in Fez slaughtered thousands of Jews, leaving only 11 alive….”
“More than a thousand Jews were killed in anti-Jewish rioting during the 1940s in Iraq, Libya, Egypt, Syria, and Yemen. This helped trigger the mass exodus of Jews from Arab countries.”

                  Continued.

                    LJ,
Again, you try to portray one side, but not the other.
“Leftist Iraqi Jews have charged that some attacks were actually orchestrated by Zionists who hoped to convince Iraqi Jews to emigrate to Israel. The fog of war makes it difficult for a historian to adjudicate such claims, but two points are in order. The first is that the charges are credible and that nationalists have throughout modern history repeatedly deployed such dirty tactics in order to consolidate populations in a compact territory.”

What are your thoughts on that?

You: “If I tell you that US Evangelicals are the biggest supporters of Israel in the US, you will accuse me of being irrelevant, stupid, or both.’

I have already told you that, though “evangelical” in the basic sense, I disagree with about 98% of the Evangelicals’ interpretations of the Bible. There are no biblical prophecies relating to the modern state of Israel. Evangelicals are wrong on that. The “time of the end” was the first century (though it started a little before that, cf. Daniel 11:40, which predicts the famous battle of Actium [31 B.C.]). All eschatological prophecies were all fulfilled by the end of the reign of the Roman Emperor Domitian (AD 81-96).

Also I don’t interpret Genesis 1 as teaching the world was created in literal six days 6000 years ago (this was mentioned in another comment of yours, to which I couldn’t reply because of the “time bar” for comments). That chapter can be interpreted in different ways, but only one way is correct and that is called the “framework theory.” This is not the place to explain it.
I repeat, don’t never ever refer to and quote the Bible, because 99.99% of the time you are likely to be wrong.

“can be interpreted” would imply that these other interpretations, too, were correct.

              https://www.timesofisrael.com/full-official-record-what-the-mufti-said-to-hitler/

In particular note Hitler’s statement, “[At the opportune time] Germany’s objective would then be solely the destruction of the Jewish element residing in the Arab sphere under the protection of British power.”

“The Palestinian problem could have been resolved peacefully and long time ago had the 22 or 23 Arab countries (depending on whether one accepts the count by Arab League or UNESCO) with the support of…etc.”
This ignores the reality that there there is no separation between US and Israeli interests.
How could even a majority of Arab states unite for Palestine? Who is in power?
The only Arab states that actively supported the Palestinian cause have been weakened and even destroyed in this century.
It is only now that there is some asserting of independence, but that too rather limited.

Sinhala_Man Your shaky statement that Netanyahu worshipping Jehovah God created Hamas worshipping Allah god who wants all Jews killed is not coherent. Abraham in Gen.14 was given the land for his descendants by Jehovah. Amos 9,15 says house of Israel will be planted in their own land no longer to be pulled up. The reason is that Jesus is coming back to his own Israel land of Jews and and palestinians wont invite him to come. So the clash is with 2 gods. Do you really believe LTTE was created by JRJ

The Israeli PM and his military are utterly confused. They have no recollection of what they said before. Israel denied fuel to the Gaza Strip for 37 days claiming that Hamas would seize hold of them. Now, they complained that Hamas refused the fuel they sent.
Israel carried out terrorist attacks on refugee camps, schools, residential buildings, mosques, churches, hospitals, bakeries, ambulances and Red Cross convoyes killing thousands of babies, ladies, old and sick people and accusing Hamas of using them as human shields. Even to this date, they couldn’t find a single Hamas member among the dead or a single weapon hidden in those places. For their information, the entire Gaza Strip is a human shield with over 2 million densely packed people.

Israel has used 32,000 tons of US-made explosives to kill 12,000 Palestinians including 5,000 babies. The actual death toll in the Gaza Strip should be way higher than that. Going by the ferocity, velocity, gravity and the accuracy of Israel’s land and airstrikes targeting civilians, so far at least 30,000 Palestinians would have been killed. What we see is only a 10% of Israel’s war crimes, genocide and crimes against humanity in the Gaza Strip. At least 10,000 people may be under the rubble.
I am asking Mr. Joe Biden whether he can stay one foot away from an exploded firecracker. Just one foot. Within just a month, Israel has dropped over 32,000 tons of US-made explosives on the roofs of densely packed residential and public places deliberately targetting civilians.

Palestinians are facing the most barbarous and the longest terrorist attack on earth for the 5th week. But, they are brave, defiant and resilient. They tightly hug the bodies of their dead children, parents and siblings, weep, call for Allah but don’t beg for mercy. From the hundreds of photos I have seen, it is pretty obvious that Palestinian families are very very closely knitted. You should not undermine their pain and untold miseries they have undergone throughout their entire lives.
Within a month, Israel “successfully” educated Palestinian children in the Gaza Strip with “practical lessons” on why they should hate Israel and the US, and return their fury in ten fold. Palestinian children look defiant. Even the wounded. Anybody in his or her sane mind can see that the next generation of Palestinian militants will take up nukes as their first weapons to bring justice to the parents and siblings they lost due to Israel bombing. Does the Israeli PM think that he can stop them taking revenge? That is why I said the Israel-Gaza war is a war between an elephant and bullet/army ants. It is an endless war. The only way to stop it, is, returning the land to the Palestinians which is rightfully theirs.

I can see your struggle to create enemies for Lemon Puff’s enemy America. That is only Sinhala Buddhism. For Ex Japanese Buddhism is much different from yours. When the Japanese Rulers witnessed the building evaporate in the heat of the new class bomb, they left behind a message to modern Japanese citizens. “War: It was our fault; To your part make peace”. Lemon Puff, Anuratha, Cesspool Mouth, Rear Admirable, Mervin de Silva all reduced the country to the bottom of Biryani & Arrack sip beggars. When your time comes and goes, Langkang will become beautiful mountains and gardens, but no human population will molester that serenity.
OIC warned only one country in the world that they will enforce sanctions on it: That is Langkang. After the 4/21 when Hizbullah asked them to bring import/export restrictions on Langkang they warned Langkang that they would do it. They never said that against Israel. Abbas is going to come and take over Gaza from Jihadi Hamas. It is highly possible the Israel- Palestine negotiations will restart under American guidance. Soon you will apply for a new job.

Did Israel said they sent fuel to Hamas? Or did Israel said Hamas intercepted the petrol sent to Palestinians, without they steal it or pass to Palestinians.
What happened the fused fuel as per Israel? Did Israel said anything about where the fuel refused is now? Is there any comment from Palestinian on it? What Hamas said about it? Did they say they will accept it if it comes back?
As usual. you just heard or you have any link on that?

Long time ago, I saw a photo of three children covered with dust in a West Asian country, either in Iraq or Yemen. They were all alone. The eldest is a girl of 7 or 8 years old. She was sitting on a rock. A little boy of the age of 2 or 3 was keeping his head on her lap. His eyes were open. Then there was another girl of the age of 4 or 5 standing next to them. I cried when I first saw that photo and for a very long time I wondered what happened to them. I felt the same pain when I saw the photos of Palestinian children.
Just like other children in the world, Palestinian children also have a “right to life”, “right to education” and “right to be children”. That is why the civilized world demands an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip! This weekend, close to one million people have come to the streets in London in support of Palestine demanding an immediate ceasefire. It is the same with many European and West Asian cities. Millions and millions of people all over the world stand by Palestinians. This is something that the world has never seen before.

Israel and the US repeatedly deny a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. Hamas will be the happiest because then they can delay in releasing hostages. Now, the hostages are with 3 different groups and nobody knows where they are.
The Israel PM is planning to bring a British war criminal to govern the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. Who the hell is he to decide that?
As the President of the State of Palestine, Mr. Mahmoud Abbas holds the custody of Palestinian people. Both Gaza and the West Bank should come under him. Under the circumstances, I don’t think Hamas will disagree.
On the other hand, Israel hasn’t won the Gaza war. They are not even halfway. After killing over 30,000 Palestinians (I stand by my estimation), depriving basic necessities and destroying residences, shelters, schools, hospitals and places of worship, will Palestinians allow Israel to decide their future? Especially their children’s future? I highly doubt it. I may be imagining things, but I think there is a shift.

At the recent Arab and Muslim Countries’ Joint Summit, the President of Turkeye Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has proposed to establish a Palestine Rebuilding Fund. Turkeye has the second largest military in Europe. Therefore, the Turkeye military can be deployed in the Gaza Strip to assist Mr. Abbas to rebuild the Gaza Strip. If started, many other countries, organizations and individuals will join.
At the same time, the Palestine Question should be addressed. The solution is already there.
In May 2020, during the Covid-19 outbreak, the United Nations Security Council tried to adopt a Global Ceasefire Resolution. As usual, the United States blocked it. There are currently 32 ongoing wars worldwide. Today, more than ever, the world needs a Global Ceasefire Resolution.

    Author:
“Whether those rocket attacks actually killed 1,400 Israelis as Netanyahu and corporate media claim has not been verified independently.”

This is hilarious. The “rocket man” not only denies that a barbaric massacre of civilians took place on Oct 7 after Hamas terrorists made an incursion into Israel (in addition to the firing of rockets) but he also questions the number of the dead. Well, what “Netanyahu and corporate media” have actually said is that 1,400 people died as a result of both the rocket attacks and the massacre inside Israel.

Author: “The invasion of Gaza and killing … and the destruction of hospitals, schools and refugee camps – all under an alibi that Hamas terrorists are hiding in them or in tunnels underneath those structures….”

Evidence is now emerging that Hamas has been doing this and Ali denies that too. (Actually, the word Ali should have used is “pretext,” not “alibi.”)

Let me adapt a well-known saying as follows: Denial of facts is the last refuge of the intellectual scoundrel.

The original number of Israelis killed by Hamas during their incursion into Israel was 1,400. After one month, Israel has altered it to 1,200. You do know why they did that? It is no longer a secret that Israeli soldiers have killed their own civilians amidst Hamas attacks on October 7, which is unforgivable. The “missing piece” mentioned in my very first comment on the Israel-Gaza war on October 9 is confirmed now.

      • 1
        2

        Champa
According to a “The New York Times” report, the initial figure of 1,400 given by the Israeli authorities had been an estimate. Among other reasons, the burning of the bodies of their victims by Hamas and the presence of dead Hamas terrorists, some of whom had worn Israeli uniforms or civilian clothing, had complicated Israel’s ability to give an accurate count of Hamas’ victims.
Revision of initial estimates is common in various situations (wars, natural disasters, etc). If I recall correct, the initial estimate of victims of the Easter Sunday attack was revised down later.

Isn’t the author saying his source is Rohan Gunaratne? That is the author has discredited his essay. Further other essays the author published reveal that he is an Islamophobic. He cannot take a bigot seriously.

Interesting part is not in the essay but on some Sinhala Buddhist commentators and Tamil commentators claiming that they are crying for Hamas. Interestingly they are going against Rohan Gunaratne and comparing Tamils with Israelis. But Rohan Gunaratne compared Tamils with Palestinians, as per author A. J. Caschetta.

From the start I opposed comparing Tamils’ problem with either Hamas or Israel. Our problem is unique. Sinhala Buddhist Appe Aanduwa compared itself with the South African Blacks who were oppressed by White Minority government. But their standardization was described as a draconian act not found even in the Pretoria government. This is land ruled with no Law but with lies and rhetoric.

We all are sad and shocked to see what Hamas did in Israel followed by what Israel is doing in Gaza and Palestine. As we all know as long as the USA stands by Israel, there will be no war crimes investigation against Israel or the United States. It is also true that the USA by supplying arms, and money and also moving battleships to the Mediterranean they are actively involved in all illegal war crimes that are being committed by Israel. Its US funds and weapons are killing innocent newly born children, young children, and civilians including women. The world cannot wait to watch what’s being shown on TV live these days. What’s the solution?

One of the solutions would be for those countries including Middle Eastern countries and other countries that are against the war crimes of Hamas, the US, and Israel should pass “war crimes laws” in their own country so that in the future they can arrest and produce before their own courts those politicians and senior leaders of the armed forces of the USA, Israel and Hamas under their own war crimes law. Even China and Russia should do this.

The “grand findings” of Israel’s “precisely targetted” ground raid at the al-Shifa hospital is a mockery to human intelligence. People may wonder “is that all”? All the items that were said to have been used by Hamas and Israeli hostages look fresh and unspoiled. A simple look at hostage videos republished on western media proves that the hostages are well looked after. They didn’t look like they had been using “makeshift toilets”.
Overall, it is a “very poor show” by the Israeli Defense Force and the US.
Hamas is demanding a five-day ceasefire to release some hostages, which means, both Hamas and hostages are not in close proximity.

There has been a long history of oppression by the British in Ireland. As part of my work I went to Belfast and the surrounding area in 2003. I stayed at the most bombed hotel in Europe – The Europa Hotel. I saw first-hand the British Army’s Observation Towers and the separation walls between the Catholic and Protestant areas. There had been many atrocities committed by both sides, (not to mention Bloody Sunday 1972 by the British Army) however the British always took the side of the Protestants. Without going too much into the history, there are many parallels between what has happened to the Palestinians and the treatment of the Catholics in Northern Ireland. Even the Observation Posts look the same. The same dehumanisation of the Palestinians by the Israelis was perpetrated on the Catholics by the British Government and Press (mainly in England – the Scots and Welsh were a bit more sympathetic). The British Army was even reputed to have a department that made up Anti-Irish jokes. Even if this story was only apocryphal the Army and Government certainly influenced/pressurised the Press to present their side as the honest truth, much like the Israelis.
      To be continued

  • 1
    1

    Continued
Another similarity is the fabrication of evidence, False-Flags etc. by the Israelis, and the operations by the British in Northern Ireland – “The Military Reaction Force (MRF, 1971-73) was a secret, plain-clothes unit of the 39th Infantry Brigade of the British Army, founded as part of Operation Banner. The infiltration and death squad consisted of around 40 individuals, some ex-Parachute Regiment, Royal Marines, SAS and SBS. It operated mainly in Belfast and used tactics honed in Britain’s colonies, including Cyprus and Malaya, says Lt. Col. Tony Le Tissier, formerly of the British Royal Military Police. Operatives later disclosed to the BBC that the British allowed the MRF to murder (Northern) Irish people, including alleged IRA suspects. The MRF used Tommy guns, a weapon of the IRA. A former MRF soldier says: ‘We were not there to act like an Army unit, we were there to act like a terror group.” https://www.starandcrescent.org.uk/2019/02/12/manufacturing-terrorism-the-case-of-northern-ireland/
There are so many similarities in these conflicts that you might suppose that the Israelis have been schooled by British Intelligence or was it the other way round?
So Leonard Jayawardena and others of your ilk, don’t regurgitate what the Israelis say as being “the truth”.
    Best Regards
