On President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s Visit To Israel

President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s visit to Israel: Why island’s Muslims, not Muslim politicians, are concerned?

President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s two day visit to Israel, during his current tour to the region which included Jordan and the Israeli occupied West Bank, remains the greatest achievement for Israel which has been aggressively trying to enter the country through backdoors only to be sent out from front doors since mid 1950s.

It is an added victory to Israel because President Rajapakse has also been the president of Sri Lanka Committee for Solidarity with Palestine People for almost three decades.

As a country which thrives on others’ misery Israel, which trained Sri Lankan armed forces and the LTTE fighters at the same time in the same area, managed to enter the country during the government’s war against the LTTE. Since then Israel penetrated several spheres including the mainstream media effectively blocking any publicity highlighting its true face and its unprecedented crime and sufferings inflicted on Palestinians.

In its drive to entrench its presence in the island which, in the past, has been a steadfast supporter of Palestinians struggle for freedom against Israeli occupation and oppression, President Rajapaksa’s visit is certainly the culmination.

The visit also speaks for the political bankruptcy of the island’s Muslim politicians who failed to voice their concern. Today the Island’s Muslim community remains sandwiched between globally aggressive   Israel and a totally ineffective and shameless Muslim politicians.

However the Muslim community has its own concern about this fast growing relation between Sri Lanka and Israel. The reason being with the Israeli presence comes its deadly secret service Mossad whose main target worldwide remains Islam and Muslims. They lavishly throw money, recruit local agents and set communities against Muslims

For example long before the handful of racist elements began their ongoing anti Muslim campaign many knowledgeable Muslims feared that Israeli presence may create problems between the Sinhalese and Muslim communities.

Their fear proved right judging from the current wave of overall attacks on the island’s Muslim community.

Most politicians, journalists and others who are now hobnobbing with the Zionists do not know who these Zionists are and what is their background is -which is only akin to German Nazis.

Around 1860s the world Zionist leaders met in the Swiss city of Basle and decided to   kick out Palestinians from their homes and lands and set up their Jewish state in Palestine which was then under Turkey’s Ottoman rule.

They manipulated and toppled Turkey during World War 1 and brought Palestine under British mandate. With the blessings of the British they massacred Palestinians and drove them   into refugee camps where they still languish. Later they manipulated   US, UK, France and Russia to exploit the United Nations, in violation of its own principles, to establish the state of Israel in the robbed Palestinian lands in violation of all established norms.

Since then Israel waged numerous wars, grabbed Palestinian and Arab lands and turned Middle East into a killing field.  Israel has committed 63 massacres of Palestinians since 1930s and the UN remains ineffective and helpless in the face of Israeli crimes. The UN could not even implement its own report, Goldstone, which accused Israel of war crimes.

Israel did not stop there. Now they wanted to divide Middle East into small entities to ensure its supremacy in the region. This is what US and Europe too wanted.

The result is the  US,UK and European wars against Muslim countries under the guise of fighting a so called war on terrorism .One  after the other Muslim countries were invaded and   destroyed besides killing millions of innocent Muslims and driving out many more millions into refugee camps.

Speaking about Jews the founding father of United States Benjamin Franklin said;

“If you do not exclude them, in less than 200 years our descendants will be working in the fields to furnish them substance, while they will be in the counting houses rubbing their hands. I warn you, gentlemen, if you do not exclude the Jews for all time, your children will curse you in your graves. Jews, gentlemen, are Asiatics, let them be born where they will or how many generations they are away from Asia, they will never be otherwise. Their ideas do not conform to an American’s, and will not even though they live among us ten generations. A leopard cannot change its spots. Jews are Asiatics, are a menace to this country if permitted entrance, and should be excluded by this Constitutional Convention.”

Today this is proved prophetic as Jewish lobbies rule the US which blindly supports Israel. The situation is such   that no American poitician can speak a word about Israel’s endless crimes against humanity and survive in politics. So much so, according to reports, even President Barack Obama was carefully screened and chosen for the job by the Chicago based Jewish billionaire.

Unlike other countries Israel is here not to help or establish better relations with Sri Lankan. They are least bothered about that. They are here as part of their agenda to establish their global domination.

It is also matter of time  they start their killing spree to silence any dissent .They   will not only pit communities against each other but will also pickup black sheep from the Muslim community, especially politicians,  to split and cause trouble within the community.

Under such circumstance the question is whether a small country like Sri Lanka can afford to get involved with the Zionists. In fact long before racist elements raised their heads I wrote an article around 2009 expressing concern on Israeli presence here. Here I reproduce this article which   traces the history of Sri Lankan-Israeli ties and also justifies the Muslim community’s fear.

Here is the article;

Growing ties with Israel- Why Muslims are concerned

The Zionist Jewish entity of Israel which has been sneaking into the country only to be expelled time and again, found a foothold in the island now.  The island’s growing ties with Israel have become cause for serious concern among many especially within the discriminated and discarded Muslim community which fears that this may spell disaster for them.

This fear emanates from Israel’s long record of hostility towards Muslims and its crucial role in the United States led western global campaign demonising Islam and Muslims under the guise of fighting a so called war on terrorism. It becomes still worse because a small minority of   nationalists who, openly call for the expulsion of Tamils and Muslims from the island, are now in influential positions while Muslims parliamentarian remain subdued and ineffective under a political system which provides for a democratically elected dictatorship with absolute power and no accountability.

In the recent past ministers, top officials and private sector officials, tourists and many others started visiting Israel while Israel’s so called entrepreneurs began investing in many sectors indicating the flourishing relations facilitated by the globalisation and open economy.

Israel sought to establish closer ties with Sri Lanka as early as 1950s. Answering a question on foreign affairs late prime Minister Mr S.W.R.D.Banadaranike said in the parliament on 14 August 1958 that” on assuming office Israel continued to pressurise to send an Israeli diplomatic representative as agreed by the previous  government. Well, I said,” Yes you may do so” Then the question of appointing our representative to Israel arose and I have just laid by for further consideration.”

It was during Prime Minister W Dahanayake’s period a non resident ambassador was appointed to Israel in 1958, but he was recalled by Prime Minister Mrs Srimavo Bandaranaike. The Sri Lankan Ambassador to Rome looked after the Israeli affairs during the UNP government between 1965 and 1970.

Deception- an   Israeli tool

During this period the Israeli Charge d Affairs in Colombo was a hyper active person. For example it was just after the June 1967 Israeli aggression on neighbouring Arab countries and I just stared my journalistic career with the now defunct Independent Newspapers which thrived on fanning communalism. I had` seen the Israeli envoy visit this office frequently and spend long hours with Mr D.B.Dhanapala who was in charge of the editorial .They were often joined by Mr Sepala Gunasena, the Owner and Managing Director.

During these visits he never failed to meet Dr Gamini Wijewardene, the Editor of English language daily SUN and Mr David Karunaratne the Editor of Sinhala daily DAWASA. It so happened that often the day after the Israeli envoy’s meeting with Dr Karunaratne, Dawasa used to carry cartoons ridiculing Islam and Muslims using derogatory words such as  “thambiya”. In trying to please the Jews they were least bothered about insulting   of Muslims – citizens of this country.

Once Mr Dhanapala asked me whether I would like to go abroad. I was thrilled and said “yes” as going abroad was more than a dream in those days. Then came the shock when he told me” get ready to go to Israel”. Shattered within seconds I politely turned down the offer in view of the hostility of Israel towards Muslim, its continuous oppression and brutalisation of Palestinians and the damage caused to Jerusalem, Islam’s third most important holy place.

Few days later our colleague S.H.Yoonos, Sports Editor of Sun, accepted the offer    despite vehement opposition from the community and his hastily arranged flight schedule by Air Ceylon was Ratmalana, Bombay, Rome and Tel Aviv. He left Ratmalana Airport around 11 am and by 12.30 noon, even before he reached Bombay,  proof copy of following day  SUN’s first page carrying a despatch supposed to have been filed by Yunoos from Tel Aviv stating that the Muslims in Israel were very happy under Israel, was on the table of Dr Wijewardene.

We were all shocked only to realise what the Israeli envoy was up to and what he was capable of. Such a fraud was unimaginable in those days when honesty and integrity were integral part of the island’s   intellectual community.

This utterly false and deliberately misleading story was not written by Yunoos but   by the Israeli legation in Colombo without his knowledge. Few days later when I  politely asked  Dr Gamini Wijewardene “  how could Yunoos write such a story  an hour and half after he left the island  the always cheerful  Dr Wijewardene   said with a smile“ ask LOKKA”-meaning Dhanapala.

So much for the Israel’s well established and longstanding policy of exploiting the media to mislead the public. Judging from the number of distorted stories in the local dailies these days one cannot help but suspect that they had successfully penetrated the media   trying to portray a rosy picture of Israel hiding their never ending crime records while never missing a chance to demonise Palestinians.

During the 1970 general elections expelling the Israeli mission in Colombo was a pledge by the United Front which attracted sizable Muslims votes.  Fulfilling her promise Mrs Srimavo Bandaranaike closed down the Israeli mission in Colombo despite threats of economic boycott .It was during her time in the mid 1970s the Palestine Liberation Organisation opened its representative office which was elevated to full embassy status in 1982. The island’s fiercely independent and dignified policy and the overall attitude towards Israel was such that in 1979, Sri Lankan Cricket Team refused to play its match against Israel in the 15 nation qualifying competition in the 2nd Prudential World Cricket Competition in England.

Then came the disastrous July 1983 anti Tamil riots when the government had to deal with the rising  Tamil militancy in the north. With both the United States and Britain failed to help President Jayewardene turned to other countries. Israel which always thrives on others misery grabbed the opportunity to help leading to the establishment of an Israeli Interest Section in the United States Embassy in Colombo with David Matna, later reported belonging to Israeli intelligence service, Mossad, appointed as resident head.

Muslims opposed the move. Leading a delegation respected senior Muslim politician and Chairman of UNP Dr M.C.M. Kaleel met President Jayewardene to express Muslim concerns. But dismissing them President Jayewardene stated “well, I will go even to devil to get help. If the Muslims wanted they can remain in the government, otherwise they can leave”. Muslim parliamentarians were placed in an embarrassing and helpless situation and Foreign Minister A.C.S.Hameed had to defend   the move. This was one of the reasons why the frustrated Muslims, especially those in the east, turned to Sri Lanka Muslim Congress for a forum of their own to raise their voice, though it later ended up as a disaster. Under these growing ties Israeli President Chaim Herzog paid an official visit to Sri Lanka in 1986.

It was proved time and again that Israelis have no special feelings for Sri Lanka which they consider “as an undeveloped and uncivilised country with monkeylike people who are not long out of the trees and should not expect much” as disclosed in the book “By Way of Deception; The Making and Unmaking of a Mossad Officer” by Victor Ostrovsky and Claire Hoy.

Insulting Sri Lankans further in page 128 the author of this book stated as follows;

“Next I was assigned to the high ranking officers who were looking for radar equipment. I was told to take them to manufacturer in Ashdod named Alta that could do the work. But when he saw their specifications, the Alta representative said,” They’re just going through the motions. They are not going to buy our radar”

“Why? I said.

“These specs were not written for these monkeys (referring to Sri Lankans) the man said.” They were written by a British radar manufacturer called Deca, so these guys already know what they’re going to buy. Give them a banana and send them home. You’re wasting your time.

“Okay, but how about a brochure or something to make them happy?”

The conversation was going on in Hebrew while we all sat together eating cookies and drinking coffee and tea. The Alta rep said he didn’t mind giving them a lecture to make it look as if they weren’t brushed off,” but if we are going to do that, let’s have some fun.”

With that he went into another office for a set of big transparencies of a large vacuum –cleaner system that is used to clean harbours after oil spills. He had a series of colourful schematic drawings. Everything was written in Hebrew, but he lectured in English on this “high capability radar equipment”. I found it difficult not to laugh. He laid it on so thick, claiming this radar could locate a guy swimming in the water and practically tell his shoe size, his name and address and his blood type. When he’d finished, the Sri Lankans thanked him said they were surprised at this technological advancement, but that it wouldn’t fit their ships. We knew about their ships. We built them.

This book came out with startling revelations of Sri Lanka’s secret relations with Israel and in view of their seriousness President Ranasinghe Premadasa appointed a presidential commission of inquiry into allegations. Among those who gave evidence was eminent journalist Mervyn de Silva. He stated as follows:

“Considering the post independence record of Sri Lanka, one of the most singular achievements of the Sri Lankan political leadership has been the more or less bi-partisan approach it has adopted on problems of vital national interest in the sphere of foreign policy. However that the question of diplomatic relations with Israel has been an exception to this rule and that the post 1978 periods marks a change with the past in the realm of foreign policy”.

“He said that he was of the opinion that the opening of the Israeli Interest Section in Colombo was an unwise step in the face of formal protests and warnings by the leader of the Opposition and the ruling party’s Muslim members led by Dr M.C.M.Kaleel.There was widening discontent since that time in the Muslim community which had remained up to that time the least politicised of Sri Lanka’s three main communities. It was wrong to have assumed that Israel’s national interests coincided with Sri Lanka’s national interests, and more particularly with Sinhalese interests, and that it was wrong again to have assumed that the Israelis would be satisfied with the unique but humble status of an “interest section”, that they would serve our interests faithfully and then politely leave when we ask them to go away. Mervyn de Silva went on to say that the elementary fact of Israel’s foreign policy is that the national interest of Israel is the ultimate test and that the Israelis pursue this with cold blooded calculation, and that it was Israel’s “Dream of Asia” and its desire to establish a diplomatic base in India to fill the vacuum between Israel and Burma, which constituted their main objective. To serve that purpose, Israel accepted the American idea to become an interests section within the US Embassy. The irony is that the U.S. did not want to give us direct help in order not to antagonise India, while India found yet another reason to be hostile to Sri Lankan and its foreign policy”.

Finally President Ranasinghe Premadasa closed down the Israeli Interest Section in Colombo on 20 April 1990 and discontinued diplomatic relations with Israel.

Once again Secret talks between Israel and Sri Lanka began in 1996 when the then Foreign Minister Lakshman Kadirgamar was hospitalized in New Delhi for a kidney operation and the Israeli ambassador in New Delhi, accompanied by the then Indian Ambassador in Colombo Sivashankar Menon who was earlier the Indian ambassador in Israel before coming to Sri Lanka and currently Foreign secretary in India, visited Mr. Kadirgamar in the hospital. According informed sources the Israeli ambassador had visited Mr. Kadirgamar frequently in the hospital and these secret contacts led to the resumption of diplomatic relations between the two countries in June 2000.

Thus even when there were no formal ties, there was still activity in the military sphere with military delegations visiting Israel and purchasing arms. These ties continue to date and early this year W.M.Seneviratne from the Foreign Service was appointed as the island’s ambassador to Israel.

The often raised question is what is the guarantee that the Israelis will not use the nationalists and extremists to whip up hostility against Muslims? This is the reason why the Muslims fear the Israeli presence may harm the existing ties within the communities and further complicate the ethnic conflict. Already there were widespread speculations that Israel played a crucial role in aggravating the split between the Tamils and Muslims who lived in peace and harmony in the East.

It was under such circumstance Sri Lanka’s Foreign Secretary Dr Palitha Kohona visited Israel with a formal greeting from President Mahinda Rajapakse to Israeli President Shimon Peres, known for his Qana massacre of more than one hundred innocent civilians in the United Nations compound.

During his four day visit Dr. Kohona also visited ‘Yad Vashem’ the holocaust memorial. But it was sad that Dr Kohona didn’t find time to visit villages such as Deir Yassin and Kafr Qassim in the outskirts of Jerusalem where Nobel Prize winning Jewish terrorist Menachem Begin massacred Palestinians men, women, children and the aged. He even ripped open a pregnant Palestinian woman’s stomach and shot at the foetus. Perhaps the lives of Palestinian victims’ of Jewish terrorism are not that precious as those of Jews’?

Then came the first high profile visit of Prime Minister Ratnasiri Wickremanayake, accompanied by a team which included his secretary Mahinda Bandusena who was the island’s  former ambassador to Israel, in March 2008 where he, perhaps to please the Israelis, accused Palestinians in Syria and Lebanon of training Tamil youths .He also said that the Tamil youths learnt the art of suicide bombing from some Palestinian groups, an accusation yet to be proved.

But what was conspicuously absent in Mr. Wickremanayake’s speech was the role played by Israel in training both Tamil youths and the Sri Lankan government forces.  In this regard once again I like to quote from the book By Way of Deception –The Making and Unmaking of a Mossad Officer” page 67 and 68;

“ The Israelis also trained elite forces, for both sides-( Tamil militants and the government forces) without either side knowing about the other and helped Sri Lanka cheat the World Bank and other investors out of millions of dollars to pay for all the arms they were buying from them”

In pages 129 and 130 the same book   stated;

“ Yosy was also looking after a group being trained by the Israelis. But they weren’t supposed to meet my people. They were Tamils, bitter enemies of my Sinhalese group”

The Tamils were training at the commando naval base. learning penetration techniques, mining landings, communications and how to sabotage ships similar to the Devora. There were about 28 men in each group, so it was decided that Yosy should take the Tamils to Haifa that night while I took the Sinhalese to Tel Aviv, thus avoiding any chance encounters.

The real problem started about two weeks into the courses, when both the Tamils and Sinhalese-unknown to each other, of course were training at Kfar Sirkin. It is a fairly large base, but even so, on one occasion the two groups passed within a few yards of each other while they were out jogging. After their basic training routine at Kfar Sirkin, the Sinhalese were taken to the naval base to be taught essentially how to deal with all the techniques the Israelis had just taught Tamils. It was pretty hectic. We had to dream up punishments or night training exercises just to keep them busy, so that both groups wouldn’t be in Tel Aviv at the same time. The actions of this one man (Amy) could have jeopardized the political situation in Israel if these groups had met.

According to local reports Prime Minister Wickremanayake had also noted that Sri Lanka and Israel share a lot of commonalities and both nations have been at the receiving end of terror attacks. It is difficult to understand how could there be commonalities between Sri Lanka, with a recorded history of more than 2500 years and a civilization based on religious traditions and an agricultural society which produced some of the finest tank building engineering skills, with sixty year old Israel established in the lands robbed by means of violence and terrorism from Palestinians.

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told Mr. Wickremanayake during his meeting that it was forbidden to give in to terrorism. The question is how the Zionist Jews, god fathers of terrorism, could speak about fighting terrorism. Palestinians who lost their homes, their lands, their families, their human rights, ignored by the United Nations and betrayed and abandoned by the Arab dictators, have been struggling to regain all what they lost. Can we call them terrorists?

Ever since the West planted Israel in the heart of Muslim world, Israel remains the only source of political instability and misery in the region. Since its establishment Israel, served as the outpost of the Western colonial powers. In 1955 Israel joined Britain and France to invade Egypt. In June 1967 Israel attacked Egypt, Syria and Jordan and captured Sinai, Gaza strip, West Bank, East Jerusalem and the Golan Heights.  Jewish lobbies which rule the US played a crucial role in the US invasion of Iraq.

Israel failed to abide by United Nations resolutions so far no measure was taken for its failure to implement UN resolution, because no UN secretary general wanted to lose his job.

Israel maintains a tight grip over the Palestinian territories where building Jewish-only settlements with American money continues in full swing. Their killing spree continues unabated using American supplied F 16 fighter jets, Apache helicopter gunships, tanks, armored bulldozers and ground troops. Prime Minister Ehud Olmert slaughtered 120 Palestinians, including a two day old baby, within a week, since 27 February 2008.

What we failed to understand is that despite the comings and goings of Israel the island’s devastating ethnic war, created by the short sighted policies of political parties which only looked at the next general elections and not the next generations, continue to ravage the country. Once again their failure to solve the ethnic issues brought in, not only Israel, but all sorts of regional and international players to the island turning the island to a devastating playground certainly not to the benefit of the country.

    Latheef Farook,

    However much you try to distance Sri Lanka & Israel, just think about yourself & other Muslims writers in the band wagon against Sinhaleas ( Buddhists).

    How many articles you wrote against Buddhists ?? may be couple of dozens or more ?? & like minded ?? seeing BBS etc ?? who don’t have even 1% of Sinhala support ?

    So idiots like you think that Sinhala people would go against Israel ?? for the sake of Muslim idiots in Lanka ??

    You better think home turf first, than the wider world outside. If not just let Lanka another friend of Israel.

    Latheef Farook does his article a disservice by twisting history, comparing Sri Lanka’s 2500 year-old civilisation with the ‘60-year old’ state of Israel, conveniently ignoring the universally acknowledged 5800++ years of Jewish civilisation in the Holy Land. What the writer fails to note is the continuing and simmering disunity among the Muslims (constantly fed by the House of Saud) and the ferocity with which the many sects of Islam regularly attack each other. The Israelis have found Sri Lanka a happy hunting ground fertile with unprincipled politicians of various hues who will willingly turn against each other at the site of the next shekel and a Muslim community disorganised and disunited, led by self-serving leaders, who have regularly sacrificed community interest for the opportunity to curry favour with which ever majority party who will offer favoursin exchange for political ‘support’. The old phrases ‘Sinhalaya modaya….’ and ‘Thambige thoppiya….’ were founded on centuries of observation.

      While I am no fan of Farook , his comment on the age of Sri Lankan civilization and Israel makes sense if you consider it as alluding to Sri Lanka today being a continuous national entity from 2500 years back. Israel today is not the Israel of 2000+ years ago. Farook is specifically talking about Israel and not as you put it “Jewish civilization”.

      Now whether Sri lanka could be considered a national entity 2500 years back, that I am not sure.

      The writer does conveniently ignore the fat that without Israel there still would be war between Sunnis and Shias and Christians.

      Wonder what the writer has to say about the genocide of non Muslims by Muslims armies for over a millenia and still continuing to this day.

        “ABOUT SEVENTY YEARS AGO, THERE IS NO ISRAEL ON THE MAP. ISRAEL WAS CREATED BY U.N” says the regular Muslim commentator who goes as Ayman. He is either a woefully ignorant man or a scheming twister of history. Why is he hiding the truth Israel and the Jews were there many thousand years ago before Muhammad copied every aspect of Judaism and Christianity – creating this present violent creed of Islam. Does he want us to believe both versions of the Bible, dominated by the history of Jews and Israel, are not true in the falsehood and deception that comes so naturally to Ayman and his lot. Is he not aware it was the pre-Islamic Egyptians who evicted the Israelis from their ancient land – to which they were brought back in larger numbers in the late 1940s.

            Ayman, yet another raging Islamic Fundamentalist, wants to do to Sri Lanka what happened to the Malidive Islands. Such irrational men must learn to avoid profanity in their arguments. He is welcome to disagree with me, attack my views rationally within decent terms. But please avoid such despicable expletives as “f..r..t” in a blog that is visited by decent ladies as well. I realise this may be difficult for him in the culture and familial background he comes from. But an attempt will do him much good. I notice, simultaneously, he has locked with other commentators in these pages as well presently.

            Inexhaustible evidence is all there to confirm the re-assertion of the antique history of the great Jeiwish people. Here is one, which cannot be news to Ayman’s handlers and those behind the project to expedite the Islamisation of this country :-

            “the first Kingdom of Israel was established around the 11th century BCE. Subsequent Israelite kingdoms and states ruled intermittently over the next four hundred years, and are known from various extra-biblical sources. The northern Kingdom of Israel, as well as Philistine city-states, fell in 722 BCE, though the southern Kingdom of Judah and several Phoenician city-states continued their existence as the region came under Assyrian rule. With the emergence of Babylonians, Judah was eventually conquered as well in the year 586 BCE.
            With successive Persian rule, the region, divided between Syria-Coele province and later the autonomous Yehud Medinata, was gradually developing back into urban society, largely dominated by Judeans. The Greek conquests largely skipped the region without any resistance or interest. Incorporated into Ptolemaic and finally Seleucid Empires, southern Levant was heavily hellenized, building the tensions between Judeans and Greeks. The conflict erupted in 167 BCE with the Maccabean Revolt, which succeeded in establishing an independent Hasmonean Kingdom in Judah, which later expanded over much of modern Israel, as the Seleucids gradually lost control in the region.
            The Roman Empire invaded the region in 63 BCE,….. The struggle between pro-Roman and pro-Parthian factions in Judea eventually led to the installation of Herod the Great and consolidation of the Herodian Kingdom as a vassal Judean state of Rome. With the decline of Herodians, Judea, transformed into a Roman province, became the site of a violent struggle of Jews against Greco-Romans, culminating in the Jewish-Roman Wars, ending in wide-scale destruction, expulsions, and genocide. Jewish presence in the region significantly dwindled after the failure of the Bar Kokhba revolt against the Roman Empire in 132 CE.[43] Nevertheless, there was a continuous small Jewish presence and Galilee became its religious center.[44][45] The Mishnah and part of the Talmud, central Jewish texts, were composed during the 2nd to 4th centuries CE in Tiberias and Jerusalem.[46] The region came to be populated predominantly by Greco-Romans on the coast and Samaritans in the hill-country. Christianity was gradually evolving over Roman paganism, when the area under Byzantine rule was transformed into Deocese of the East, as Palaestina Prima and Palaestina Secunda provinces. Through the 5th and 6th centuries, dramatic events of Samaritan Revolts reshaped the land, with massive destruction to Byzantine Christian and Samaritan societies and a resulting decrease of the population. After the Persian..”

            The worldwide Islamic conspiracy to deny Jews their role in history is one reason why Muslim societies throughout the world are trying to destroy Israel in every conceivable way. This has failed so far despite much resources thrown into the project. One reason is increasing education in Muslim countries and the advent of Information Technology that helps Muslims in the modern world access to knowledge. Why are they so keen to wipe out Malallah in Talibani areas in theocratic Pakistan? After all, her campaign is only to ensure education to girls and boys there. If you look around much of Pakistan, Afghanistan, Yemen and many Muslim countries the mass is deliberately kept ignorant – no similar to North Korea in a different context. That is fastly changing as we see the domino effect in Islamic countries in the world crumbling to opposition from their own people kept under terror so far. Now the leaders in the Islamic world – including the Saudis, the PLO and even Iran – have given up their foolish policy to destroy modern Israel. In recognising Israel they are forced to finally accept the ancient history of the antique land and people. It is the ignorant here and elsewhere in the Islamic world who are kept in the dark. But they will be soon liberated from their prejudices and freed from their hatred of the Jews and those of others religions.

    Valuable insight in to Jewish influence specifically in Sri Lanka
    Mr. Latheef Farook.

    Now that the Tamil terrorist issue has exhausted all of Sri Lanak’s resources, instigating another round with Muslims would spell the doom for Sri Lanka as a nation, when that happens it would give it will be a walk in park for Jewish state to put to action what you have mentioned from Sri Lanka.

    Another round of communal violence has not yet started in my view is due to 2 reasons,
    1. current regime wants to break the muslim economic advantage in the country to appease the majority purely to stay in power, however the they caught in trap due to the war crime hanging over their heads they don’t want to push it.

    2. The muslims themselves have not fallen to the trap so far they have been relatively restrained from taking drastic actions.

    Come to think of it since recent past (post 1983) the behavior of Sri Lankan Muslims and the most of the majority community has been exemplary. They have seen the destruction and misery brought upon all of us due certain shortsighted, opportunistic politicos.

    I am hopeful a leader will emerge who has the capabilities and will to unify the whole country and take us towards prosperity. That to happen the leader shouldn’t have to be a one among us (Individuals race) but a one among our nation.

    Excellent analysis.

    All concerned Sri Lankans will have concerns about this extremely “out of character” move by the president.

    It is probably based on advice from the foreign affairs bureaucrats and others close to him on the take from Israeli and US agents. it is significant the the Israeli ‘ambassador’ in Delhi visited Colombo a couple of months ago. The government probaly expect favours from the US, European and other Jewish lobbies at the UNHCR in March by showing a friendly face to Sri lanka. They are kidding themselves. You can’t deive the masters of deception.

    What all Sri lankans need to remember is that all Sri Lanka’s woes at the UNHCR come from the Zionist anger about having no other ‘hot spot’ in the world to deflect attention from Israeli human rights abuses and war crimes. Their mythical tribal group that forms the so-called “international community” is pushing their barrel.

    The objective of Eric Solheim, Stephen Harper, John Baird, David Cameron and other European, US and UK meddlers on Sri Lanka has just been to ask the world to turn on Sri Lanka rather than on Israel.

    There are lots of Israeli agents in the English language media in Sri lanka as the writer has referred to, some like Gamini Weerakoon is retired bt still working for them, and there were others like Tarzi Vittachi, Mervyn de Silva, Manik de Silva and numerous other English language journalists at Lake House.

    Sri Lanka can only hope that the president is only visiting them to make the trip appear balanced, and is not interested in developing relations with the ‘viper’ nation.

    A very provocative article, thank you. I think Benjamin Franklin has been proven wrong, as the Jews in American have become a respected community whose loyalty the US has never been questioned. In fact, it was the work of Jewish scientists like Einstein and Oppenheimer that led to the invention of the atomic bomb, which ultimately handed victory to the allies in world war II.

    The anecdote about Tamils and Sinhalese training in Israel at the same time, reveals something about how the world sees the conflict on the island. They don’t see it as minority vs. majority. They see two communities who are roughly equal in capability, engaged in a bitter fight. This is something that leaders of the GOSL have not figured out. They can’t figure out why Tamils are treated as equals to them. A classic example of this treatment was the meeting of Prime minister Cameron and Mr.Wigneswaran in Jaffna.

    More than Israeli or any other manipulations it is the inability of the Muslim Politicians; those in the Govt. having no say in the Govt. on Muslim issues and the few in those opposition being not concerned at all on the issues of the community; and the Muslim public who lack awareness on wider political issues, are the real causes of the present Sri Lanka Govt. moving towards more closer ties with Israel. If Muslims need to be treated seriously in Sri Lanka’s politics it is essential for them to seriously engage in wider political issues and effectively think of removing from their positions the present lot of Muslim politicians who self-claim to be representatives or leaders of the community. Journalists of the calibre of Latheef Farook will be doing a better service to the community to enlighten them on the need to change the approach of the community to keep in line with the changing trend of politics, not only in Sri Lanka but also in other parts of the world, rather than continuing to refer to only Israeli or other manipulations.

While I agree with the general thrust of Dr Farook’s article, I think he should check the veracity of his quotes carefully, especially when they seem so improbable. The quote allegedly from Ben Franklin is a well known forgery dating from 1934 but recently given wide publicity in the internet. Look up wikipedia on ” Franklin prophesy”.

    Ever wonder why so many Christians support America’s many wars, especially in the Middle East? A new Christianity has emerged from the Twentieth Century called Christian Zionism or what could be called, “Angry Evangelicalism,” or Dispensationalism on Steroids.” What motivates a nationally known, evangelical preacher like John Hagee to call for a pre-emptive strike against Iran when it is contrary to what Jesus taught and commanded his followers to do? This “Roots of Zionism” presentation may be the first of its kind with a factual explanation of how Christianity’s latest apostate epidemic was launched with the publishing of C. I. Scofield’s reference Bible in 1909, and the influence of the notes in it. While purposefully reaching and helping many under Christian Zionist influence by featuring its identification and cure, this 2nd edition offers hope to all people, regardless of faith, who may also wish to leave it’s grasp. Film clips include action inside Gaza Strip and a moving interview with Shareen, a young Palestinian woman living in Gaza.

    We must sympathize with Palestinians as they are a set unfairly treated and robbed of their freedom. But as a country we have to look after our own welfare and can’t define policies solely on injustices. I wonder how the legitimate grievances of palestinians become an issue to Farook? just bc he is an Muslim? Is he a Muslim first and a Sri Lankan second?

    We must be thankful that Rajapakshe is not acting like a typical leftist fool but is been more and more pragmatic by the day.

      ” I wonder how the legitimate grievances of palestinians become an issue to Farook? just bc he is an Muslim? Is he a Muslim first and a Sri Lankan second?”

      You know the answer to that. He puts his religion first and as such identifies and is loyal to only those of his sectarian leaning. Back in 2011 I a SL Muslim leader stated in one of the main SL newspapers that he belongs to the global Muslim ummah, and the gist of his comments on Muslim identity was that SL Muslims are Muslims first. Islam is a very authoritarian and strict religion and demands fealty to religion before all else . Reality is most Muslims in the world identify with their ethnicity first except in Ceylon where Muslims ignore their ethnicity and try to claim Islam as an ethnicity. In Arabia , the birthplace of Islam, the locals always identify with their race and tribe first and sneer at Lankan Muslims just as they sneer at other Asians.

      Let us pray no more ethnic or any war in Sri Lanka. As you predict, If something happens, it will be over in a day as Muslims are not armed in Sri Lanka. This is bad for war business. If you contact Israel, which makes huge profits from wars, it will make the war more spicy and long lasting by bringing fake muslim alqaeda foreign fighters on the other side, you will never know this, bringing great destruction and suffering to people of all ethnicity.

    It is news that MR has received the ‘Star of Palestine’ award. MR was a crusader for Palestine, like how MR was representing the Mother’s Front fighting for Human Rights of the oppressed then, who is the Biggest Human Rights Violator today. The UNP govts in the past could not allow Israel to open Diplomatic Offices here as MR opposed violently, but after MR became President, MR signed bilateral Agreements with Israel a country they loathed. The following week after signing Bilateral Agreements with Israel, it was ironic to see the Palestine President paying a visit here as a Guest of MR. This would have not been possible if not for the Americans arranging the visit of the Palestinian President, just to diffuse any tension that would have resulted from the Bilateral Agreements and also to mislead the masses that MR is still with the Palestine cause. Then again the President of Palestine agreeing to visit Sri Lanka after we signed Bilateral Agreements with Israel, a country they are at war with, shows how much influence the Americans wield over countries that are supposed to be inimical to them and their allies. For the skulduggery and deceit the Americans have been indulging in, today Nature is richly paying them, where temperatures have dropped below -30* C and life is hell for the country. This is nothing but retribution.

    Mahinda got the Star of Palestine from Palestinian president and when he goes to Israel he might be given the Star of David. No…. no chance of that. The Israelis wont give the Star of David to a monkey, would they?

    Israel is the only country who is successful in driving out the legitimate owners and implanting Jews on such lands – masters of the crude art of ethnic cleansing. MR who is engaged in such activity in the North and East of Sri Lanka had to visit Israel to learn the finer points of Israel’s success.

  • 1
    0

    Wonder what advantage MR hopes to get by visiting Israel. Maybe a few agreements on technology and agricultural corperation. Other than that Israel has nothing much to offer now that we dont need any more Kfirs and Dvora. Simply shows the bankruptcy of the regime. MR is running out of places to go.

    On the diplomatic side it has more to lose if it goes against the OIC comprising of 56 countries whose votes matter at the UN. Palestine only has observer status at UN.

    • 0
      1

      Safa,

      Unity and speaking in one voice by the OIC is a joke. PLO and Taliban are out to violently oust the Saudis and the rich Kuwaitis and Qataris. The Saudis, Kuwaitis and Qataris are far safer with the Christians and Jews. They have invested all their funds with them. They are practical because see what happened to all the stolen billions Saddam Hussain invested in Syrian Banks.

      For the record, now and then, they lend their voice to Islamic Unity while they know there can be no such thing. Hamas and Taliban are slaughtering their own Muslims from Afghanistan to Syria and beyond. From the time of Muhammad the Sunnis and Shiites have been at each others throats for a millennium and half. This is worse now.
      This 56 countries you speak of will scatter in 56 directions when their money is in trouble and when the going gets tough. That is Islamic Brotherhood, which we recently saw in Pottuvil with gun-fights like in the Wild West.

    Former Reporter Lateef Farook does tremendous disservice to himself by trying to insult many in this lengthy piece – Israel, the Jews, India’s Senior Security Advisor Shiv Shankar Menon, the late respected journalist D.B. Dhanapla, MOSSAD and many more. Above all – it is a calculated attack on the intelligence of the average reader. This provocative article is designed to unfairly demonise Israel (“a country that thrives on the misery of others”), the Jewish people and Christians. Is he aware while he broadcasts his vituperative thoughts, today in Bethlehem – holy to the Jews, Christians and the Muslims who came many centuries later – the head of the Christian Church, the Jewish patriarch are seated in harmony at prayer in that Most Holy place with President and Madam Rajapakse.

    While the Muslims here preach violent anti-semitism PLO leader Yasser Arafat counted many Jewish friends – one in particular being Rabbi Menachem Froman of Tekoa, a town in the West Bank. Even to the day many leading Egyptians share close friendships with their Jewish friends across the border. Tunisia and Morocco have Jewish Ministers. Farook, instead, seeks to spew venom on anyone holding a different view. Instead of gaining friends for the beleaguered Lankan Muslims, he is again, likely to earn more detractors for them. No surprise the hordes of the BBS are sharpening their knives again. The Government by now – thanks perhaps to the Intelligence briefs from Israel – and as mentioned by other commentators here – are alive to the dangers Sri Lanka had been thrust into by the dangerous schemes of the Pakistani Spy network ISI to win over militant Islamic youth in the East. The plan is to eventually launch attacks on South India from Lankan soil. That Container loads of ammunition were sent to the Eastern Province during the tenure of Ashraff is now common knowledge. It is MOSSAD and SLA sources that informed GoSL Intelligence the LTTE carried out the Kattankudy attack in retaliation of arms accumulated to launch attacks against the Tigers.

    Sri Lanka would have not been in the difficulty they are in if the Israelis were here in strength years ago. It was the conspiracy of men like A.C.S. Hameed, when he was Foreign Minister, that put paid to this. Hameed is alleged to have placed the interest of Global Islam ahead of his own country. Farook mentions MOSSAD dealt both with the LTTE and the SLA men in training them simultaneously, It can, therefore, be argued, in their own (Israeli) perception, they could have felt there was justice on both Sinhala and Tamil sides. Intelligent minds at that time could have intervened and used Israel’s diplomatic clout and skill to bring the Lankan conflict to an early settlement. But men like Hameed were so mired with anti-Jewish prejudice they kept the war going. Tens of thousands of youth on both sides perished as a result. After all, if the Saudi Royals can seek Israel’s help “to strike at the head of the Snake” (meaning a nuclear attack on “brother” Iran) why should not Sri Lanka use Israel’s friendship and expertise in their own interest? It is good to know already technical and agricultural cooperation between the two sides is on high gear. Alert men they are, Israelis should also expect disruption to them personally and their work from religious fanatics in the island.

    These “learned” men from the Islamic side – with varying Degrees from various quarters, do not seem to know when to stop. This scholarly paper oozes with calculated deception and mischief such as the thought the State of Israel only came to British minds in 1948. How then, Sir, there is reference to Israel long before Islam came by – fashioned on Israel, Judaism and Christianity. Who are you trying to fool?

    Farook seems inclined to lay all Muslim ills on Israel’s feet – “what is the guarantee Israelis will not whip up hostilities against Muslims……Israel set communities against Muslims” he writes in feigned innocence. Lankan Muslims brought all their troubles all by themselves – the Halal, Weekly Friday noon demos opposite the US Embassy at Kollupitiya in Colombo, Lateef Farook and many others included. They certainly did not need outside help. If there is friction between Tamil and Muslim communities that lived in harmony decades ago that is because of men like Rishard Bahiurdeen, whose antics and land-grabbing are too well known. Look at the irony in the EPC where the Council is dominated – not by Tamils but by Muslims.

    The Rajapakses, despite many clear faults, are quite sharp in understanding the current Islamic mind of world conquest and that of Israel’s in resisting it. They seem to have studied both the Islamists (Palestinians included) and Israel (MOSSAD as well) The Rajapakses, at least on this score, need very little advise from Farook and his side in which basket to place their eggs. MOSSAD and the Israelis may have pointed out to their Lankan guests if the Arabs, with their enormous oil wealth – that quadrupled in the early 1970s – sincerely wanted to help the 2 million Palestinian refugees they would have done this decades ago. Look at their sheer wastage of valuable money like the $2 billion on 7 Star Hotels in Dubai. When a well-known media man from the UK asked the owner why they invested on this project – where there is hardly sufficient return on investment – the billionaire interrupted to say “my friend, we did not waste that money to make a profit. We did that to send out the message we have arrived in the world of big finance” Ego or hubris? It is well known the Arabs themselves are indifferent to Palestinians and treat them as unwanted guests in almost all Arab countries they are scattered in. So much for the much hyped Islamic Brotherhood.

    The derogatory comments on the late D.B. Dhanapala is one further indication the printing media in the country is now deeply infiltrated. There have been many complaints Peace-centred articles aimed to bringing together the two major communities have been, in various ways, sabotaged by personnel within – something which must be carefully monitored.

    The adverse comments on former Indian High Commissioner and current Senior Security Advisor to the Indian Govt Shri Shiv Sankar Menon by Farook is sheer fabrication. Israelis maintain diplomatic and Consular Representation with India for many decades. The few feeble attempts to threaten India by Arab interests in the diplomatic world to alienate Israel simply withered away. This was due to India’s strength and standing in the world.

    Professor (Dr) Subramaniam Swamy was in the lecture circuit in the USA a few years ago – at the height of Islamic Fundamentalism. He said the current strategy of Global Isalamic conquest works in different stages. In the first stage, plural societies where Muslims are in the majority, are guided they should progressively reduce the influence of the other religionists to the minimum in business, education, professional services and in society in general. When they are strong enough, he said, they are instructed to refuse concessions and cooperation to the others. They must force them to become Muslims or perish. Swamy gave the example of the Maldive Islands to this theory.
    It will be seen this principle now works in all Arab lands. I believe he called this Daral Islam.

    The other one is in respect of those countries where Muslims are a smaller minority. Here they are advised to increase their numbers in different ways but use pressure in the society they are in to weaken it in various ways. Simultaneously, they are instructed to use their resources to gain their members to their side. Over a number of years, it is assured, the Muslim strength will grow and the others will be in small numbers. The USA in the mid-1960 to the 1980s fell into this category. Since then Black Muslims have now joined their original
    Christian churches. Swamy also said, on and off, in these societies Muslims should create crises – like in France and Australia on the Hijab. If they ricochet back then immediately “blame your leaders and say they do not know what they are saying – and retreat. But plan to strike later” This, Swamy said, is Daral Harab.

    Apparently, the Israelis have kept the Rajapakses well informed. I know this is somewhat thick but Farook forces my hand to come to the defence of the other communities in the country.

    I am shocked to see some of the comments against latheef , any given opportunity the bigots are all out to bash Islam , what a sickness , this show how little these bigots know about what is going on around the world ,,,

    There are more than Muslims , activists among other faiths , even among Jews and atheists who are fighting for Palestinian cause and Palestinian cause is not just Muslims there are Palestinian Christians too who are fighting side by side .

    Btw Racel Corrie was no Muslim ,, she was a Humanitarian and fraught for justice , this like saying oh is the cancer patient is a Muslim ? oh we know how terrible that is , but what to do we need to take care of our own people who are suffering from Cancer,, this is very Sri lanakan mindset , but I assure , they will not even lift a finger to help even their own .. as long as people are not willing to choose by race or religion, but are willing to reach the sick, the hungry, the homeless the ones on whom injustice is been done daily without been questioned in such a society and country there will never be peace or prosperity.

    I only pray after reading the above article that we Muslims of Sri Lanka are not being prepared for the next Rhinyga of Sri Lanka .. we have since late been frequently reminded that we are foreigners both by some of the government politicians and opposition politicians and the general public and of cause not forgetting some of the Buddhist Clergy , all of them want us to be deported to Saudi Arabia.. does this article telling us something that we should really take into consideration? does it mean there may be a possibility that like the Burmese Muslims our citizenship too may one day be revoked ? and excuses made and be hunted down like animals and killed ,our women raped, babies burnt alive and then driven the sea shores ? anything is possible when a ruling government is exclusively depended on its majority’s vote base to run the government and with a set of spineless corrupt minority politicians and rich minority racketeer businessman greedily going about concerned only about his family and willing to go to any extreme of legalities to main his or her status core -Yes Sri Lankan Muslims fate turning to a Burmese one is all possible.

    Today this minute Muslims must put away their differences , and before anything else they must work together to indefinitely end the political future of The entire Muslim Congress , its off shoot members holding political positions and enjoying the perks at the cost of the Community ,esp people like Faizer Mustafa, Rishard badurdeen , the two Musamamils (More popularly known as Thompson and Thompson )and the rest. and bring in Azath Sally,Kabir Hasheem and Imtiaz Bakeer Maker (even to work with the ruling party ,these people can turn the Miseries of the community around)

    The answer is in the hands of The Community at large.

      How many Sinhalese or Tamils were allowed to get citizenship in Saudi or any of the other Gulf nations. While Arabs from the Gulf were welcomed and allowed to settle in Sri Lanka by Tamils and Sinhalese, Arabs never allowed Tamils and Sinhalese to settle in Arabia. None of these Muslim nations allow non Muslims to become citizens.

      All the Temples or Monasteries in the Gulf are temporary. Even the Churches there are Temporary, because they are only there to serve the expat population and it is understood they will be removed when the expats leave.

      Muslim majority nations make it quite clear to the non muslims that the later are 2nd class citizens and that Islam and Muslims are the rulers of said nations and these nations will be Muslim for all eternity. Yet Muslims in non Muslim nations are always demanding they be accepted as equal owners of said non Muslim nation and agitating for imposition of their culture. South Asia already has 3 nations that are defacto deemed Muslim nations for eternity (Maldives, Pakistan and Bangladesh). Non Muslims in Pakistan live in fear and there is a deliberate effort to kill or drive them out.

      Islam forbids Muslims from converting but it is always trying to convert non Muslim. Islam also is against non Muslim men marrying Muslim women but it does not oppose Muslim men marrying non Muslim women. Islam also demands that if a non Muslim and Muslim marry, the former must convert. All of these plus the genocidal and expansionist mindset of Islam .

      Islam is responsible for cultural genocide in Sri Lanka because it converted many Tamils and Sinhalese. Vast majority of Lankan Muslims are not Arabs but they identify with Arab culture despite genetically being South Asians. Religion is a crucial part of one’s ethnic identiy and roots, and these Arabs who settled in SL erased (genocide) the ethnic identity of Tamils and Sinhalese by converting them to Islam.

    The Jewish people are the true owners of the historical land that they live in call Israel. They are friends of all people who are against the rising tide of Islamic extremism. In Lanka it is now at epidemic proportions with women fully covered, men fully bearded wearing Islamic head dress, and every Moslem family procreating early and on average over 6 children to a family. Lanka has once chance to fight back these marauders and their best bet is to align with those who are best at fighting Islamic fundamentalism, the Israelis.

    Pres. Rajapaksa should be praised for his foresight. Lanka should arm itself with lethal weapons that can deliver a deadly blow to Wahabbism, Islamic terrorism, as it raises its ugly head in Lanka.

    Both Jews and Arabs Are Semites
    ===================================

    It is More like a family quarrel over the rights of a real estate.
    ====================================================================
    Religious belief and traditional rituals there are no two nations that share the similarities than a Jew and an Arab.

    =====================================================================

    Who are the “Jews” and the “Arabs”? Historians generally realize that both Jews and Arabs are blood relatives—both being Semites. But who are the “Semites”? Exactly where do they appear in the great “Table of Nations,” given to us by the Prophet Moses in Genesis 10

    ISRAEL
    ===============
    Meaning & History
    From the Hebrew name יִשְׂרָאֵל (Yisra’el) meaning “God contended”. In the Old Testament Israel (who was formerly named Jacob; see Genesis 32:28) wrestles with an angel. The ancient and modern states of Israel took their name from him.

    Genetic analysis suggests that a majority of the Muslims of Palestine, inclusive of Arab citizens of Israel, are descendants of Christians, Jews and other earlier inhabitants of the southern Levant whose core may reach back to prehistoric times. A study of high-resolution haplotypes demonstrated that a substantial portion of Y chromosomes of Israeli Jews (70%) and of Palestinian Muslim Arabs (82%) belonged to the same chromosome pool.[31] Since the time of the Muslim conquests in the 7th century, religious conversions have resulted in Palestinians being predominantly Sunni Muslim by religious affiliation, though there is a significant Palestinian Christian minority of various Christian denominations, as well as Druze and a small Samaritan community. Though Palestinian Jews made up part of the population of Palestine prior to the creation of the State of Israel, few identify as “Palestinian” today. Acculturation, independent from conversion to Islam, resulted in Palestinians being linguistically and culturally Arab.[18] The vernacular of Palestinians, irrespective of religion, is the Palestinian dialect of Arabic. Many Arab citizens of Israel including Palestinians are bilingual and fluent in Hebrew.

    =================================
    In the Old Testament or the Hebrew Bible Zipporah was one of the seven daughters of Jethro, a Kenite shepherd who lived and was a priest of Midian.[2] In Exodus 2:18 Jethro is also referred to as Reuel[3] and referred to as Hobab in the Book of Judges.[4] (Judges 4:11). (Hobab was also the name of Jethro’s son as recorded in Numbers 10:29.) While the Israelites/Hebrews were captives in Egypt, Moses killed an Egyptian who was striking a Hebrew, for which offense Pharaoh sought to kill Moses. Moses therefore fled from Egypt and arrived in Midian. One day while he sat by a well, Reuel’s daughters came to water their father’s flocks. Other shepherds arrived and drove the girls away so they could water their own flocks first. Moses helped the girls and watered their flock.

    Upon their return home their father asked them, “How is it that you have come back so soon today?” The girls answered, “An Egyptian rescued us from the shepherds; he even drew water for us and watered the flock.” “Where is he then?” Reuel asked them. “Why did you leave the man? Ask him in to break bread.” (Exodus 2:18–20)

    @Palmsquirrell … you sure got your PHD in International Immigration laws , this shows your level of world affairs it would be a waste of energy to make sense to a person like you ..

    People who are more well read know how Citizenship works ,, there are enough Muslim countries that have Citizens from other faiths , get yourself educated before putting your foot in your mouth , some of the gulf countries have Christians as citizens and have also granted Citizenship ..

    BTW Does Japan ever grant Citizenship even if you are a Buddhist?

    Stop talking shop..

      ” there are enough Muslim countries that have Citizens from other faiths , get yourself educated before putting your foot in your mouth , some of the gulf countries have Christians as citizens and have also granted Citizenship ..”

      Ofcourse Muslim countries have minority cummunities of non Muslims because these minorties were already there before Islam. So don’t act like Islam/Muslim nations deserve some credit for allowing non Muslims to live in Muslim nations because these non Muslims were the pre Islamic inhabitants of these nations. Thats like giving credit to White Americans for allowing Native Americans to live in America.

      Kuwait has a tiny tiny community of Kuwaiti Christians but these are native Kuwaiti Christians whos presense in the region precedes Islam.

      UAE does not grant citizenship to non Muslims , unless the person is a female and marries an Emirati male and converts to Islam. Non Muslim men are not allowed to marry Emirati females. Infact Emirati females are generally not allowed to marry non Emirati Muslims.

      In very rare instances UAE will grant citizenship outside of marriage but the person is still required to convert to Islam.

      The Bahraini Christian communtiy is native to the area.

      Oman grants citizenship to non Muslim women (Jews and Christians only) marrying Omani men but they must raise the children as Muslims. Non Muslim men are not allowed to marry Omani women.

      Qatar as far as I am aware has no native non Muslims

      Saudi does not allow the practice of non Muslim faith

      So can you prove that any of the Gulf countries have allowed in non native non Muslims in meaningfull numbers ? Proslethysing by non Muslims is also banned .

      Lastly , when you resort to Ad-Homimen as you have you only prove the inadequecy of your argument.

        Palmsquirrell,

        You knowledge is weak. In Oman there are many Indian Hindu men have granted Citizen ship and it’s not mandatory to marry there. Oman has Hindu temples those Hindus are migrated from recent last 40-50 years. Emirates has Church and there are non-Muslim who has granted citizenships. In gulf there are many successful Indian Business men who are billionaires. Off cause Sri Lankan’s are lazy, So they talk always racism and licking others boot…..(India, China, Arabic countries..etc)

      Japan’s native religion is Shintoism. In any case what Japanese don’t go around converting people like Muslims. Islam is a proslethysing religion but Muslims are banned from converting, typical Islamic hypocrisy!

        Palmsquirrell,

        Islam never allowed converting anyone by force. Islam is fast growing religion in the world and many westerners converted to Islam in their own interest. Mostly many Jews and Christian scientists are being converted to Islam……..

        That is the fact………..Google it and see….

          Total untrue; Arabs spread Islam in North India and the MiddleEast with the Sword in one hand and the Quran in the other. In North India , Turko-Mongol-Persian invaders spread Islam by force. In the Balkans Turks spread Isalm by force.

          In S.E Asia Islam was spread by traders but not so the case in the above mentioned regions.

          Islam also exploits poverty to spread its religion, by converting poor people using food and resources as the bait.

          “Many Westerners converted” voluntarily has nothing to do with how Islam spread in much South Asia and the MENA region. I should also tell you that many Muslims in the West leave their religion, and I personally know of some South Asians who have abandoned Islam.

          The very fact that Islam seeks converts and is a proslythising religion points to it as an expansionist ideology that seeks world domination. If Islam was peacefull it would not convert because conversion is genocide.

    @Palmsquirrell – can you prove how many Gulf Citizens have been given citizenship in Sri Lanka ?

    Remember all Arabs have the same genes so does the Jews , it will be am impossible task to define the Local Muslims as Gulf Arabs, but am sure to do so to trace roots of Indian origins whether Sinhalese,Tamils or South Indian Moors wont be an issue ,however I find your argument utterly stupid and with no logic, have you no other sensible statements to contribute to the article in question ?

    and I will take it from there… while I can prove how many Sinhalese and Tamils have been given citizenship in other Muslim Countries and something fishy telly me you are a Tamil yourself assuming ,(I am be wrong) however I can for sure prove that one Million Tamils were given Citizenship in Sri Lanka over the counter in very recent times .

    On President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s Visit To Israel
    ================================================

    While I honestly worry over what the writer has mentioned , at the same time I can not find fault in The President’s visit to Israel , we are not at war with Israel , nor with Palestine , if Egypt , Turkey ,Qatar to name a few Muslim states could have had foreign relations with Israel and Palestine at the same time,I see no issues in his visit to both places, he was merely excising his foreign protocol.

      First off the Penninsula Arabs are the real Arabs, other Arabs like Sudanese, Egyptians, Lebanese, Syrians ,Palestinians are mostly cultural Arabs . My comment above is about Penninsula Arabs.

      Arabs traders from the Penninsula settled in Sri Lanka and started the Muslim Lankan community, yet Penninsula Arabs never allowed Tamils and Sinhalese to settle in their lands. There is no reciprocity from the Arabs acknowledging the tolerance and good nature displayed by Tamils and Sinhalese towards those Arab merhcants who settled in Sri Lanka.

      At the very least the Gulf countries could treat Sri Lankan migrant workers as human beings , especially housemaids.

      Ceylon Muslims are sometimes erroneously referred to as Ceylon Moors even though Moor is the term for North Africans. In Sri Lanka’s case it was given to Arab traders who settled in SL. Yet the vast majority of Sri lanka’s Muslims are of Tamil ,Sinhala or other South Asian genetic stock and NOT Arabs , but due to the cultural brainwashing of those Arab traders who settled in SL, Sri Lankan Muslims are denied their ethnic roots.
