Please Find Sirisena’s Sword

By Shyamon Jayasinghe –

Shyamon Jayasinghe

“He went about like a Samurai swaying this sword and warning all and sundry that he will fearlessly use it and stamp out the corruption that has been endemic in the island…” ~ Lost Sword and King Arthur’s Legend

President Maitripala Sirisena’s sword is lost! Stuck somewhere. It was a powerful tool that could destroy the corrupt-whoever that may be. He who finds it, deserves the crown of Lanka for he alone can deliver the goods: end the corrupt system and launch development sans corruption. A famous story in King Arthur’s Legends comes to my mind.

One legend tells of a lost sword that is later found stuck and embedded in a rock. The challenge went round that the person who is able to extricate the  sword  from the rock without damage will be King of England.

“Who so pulleth out this sword of this stone and anvil is right-wise King born of all England.’’

Numerous persons took up the challenge; but all of them failed. Arthur, then no king, went up and managed to pull out the sword. This is how he became King of England and  later unified the kingdom.

Passionate Show Against Corruption

Likewise, is this mysterious sword of Maitripala Sirisena – our President. In his case, he had the sword; didn’t use it; it got lost and stuck somewhere and somebody who can take it out should win the crown of Sri Lanka-Paradise!

President Sirisena became suddenly belligerent and passionate about public corruption during the recent local government elections. He went about like a Samurai swaying this sword and warning all and sundry that he will fearlessly use it and stamp out the corruption that has been endemic in the island since the days of the Rajapakse family dictatorship. His threatening stare was aimed at Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and his party, too. And this, regardless of the fact that it was that party which worked to have him elected President in 2015. He was so committed, that even those who enabled him to get into the President’s chair could not be saved. “Sorry, Ranil,” he sought of said. It was almost as if he had followed the Bhagawad Gita line about duty being foremost.

Disbelief

It was evident that nobody believed Sirisena’s threat as he had such a miserable showing in the results. People remembered that he was a high profile Minister in the Rajapaksa cabinet but did not bat an eyelid about Mahinda’s abuse of power and the widespread corruption of his regime. Sirisena and the rest of the cabinet watched over all that and they watched over the murders and disappearances of dissenting journalists during that time. He had also participated in the foul acts of faking charges and jailing Sarath Fonseka after a controversial coup hearing. So did he watch and participate in the foul event of removing the Chief Justice. Maitripala never showed an iota of passion or principle about these and other outrageous acts.

Rejection of Sarath Fonseka

The election gone, and we hear no word about stamping corruption anymore. The ‘horu allanawa,” slogan is still lost as we find that court cases against the former bigwigs Gota, Basil, Wimal Weerawansa, Aluthgamage, Gammanpila, Johnston etc etc are being postponed into long dates. Communal riots are being organised by opposition forces. Thugs from outside are being organised to disrupt the country and bring down the government before it reaches its mandated time. Maitripala Sirisena looks on satisfied with issuing some vacuous threat or another. The Prime Minister cannot take too much on his plate and handle the portfolio of Law and Order. He and his party has been insisting that the only man who can do that job be given the portfolio and that is Field Marshall Sarath Fonseka. However, the President has not acceded because of the pressure of Mahinda’s men outside and inside the Sirisena administration.

Aligned with Pohottuwa?

There is a lot of talk going round that Sirisena has been persuaded  to align  with his former enemy camp-the Pohottuwa boys. The rumour is that his own brother Dudley, who is a big business magnate and friend of Gotabaya Rajapaksa, is acting as the bridge between the Pohottuwa camp and Sirisena. If this is true, then Sirisena has really thrown that sword away and joined the thieves. There was no need for a hopper feed this time.

Thus, a hopeless game is on that is dragging down the country and  even undermining the significant gains that have been made during the last three years when Maitripala was working with Ranil Wickremesinghe and the UNP in a stable condition.

Who will find that sword again?

Haven’t anyone thought of the GOVIGAMA RULING ELITE MAFIA is at play in all these drama. The Sirisena is the worst of the worst for PEOPLE OF SRILANKA the GOVI MAFIA produced and who is deliberately and openly displaying his “SUCKER” like character before the entire world. He is a racist but a cool racist who is always hiding under the sheeps clothing. He can’t pull his SWORD due to curved end that might chop of his THREE (MY+THREE). This scumbag of a garbage politician the GOVI sister CHANDRIKA gave the people of Sri Lanka as the second piece of shit after she gave us the SUPER CRIMINAL Mahinda Rajapakse. For all their crimes committed during their GOVI GAME POLITICAL POWER, We the Sri Lankans have to pay the JEWISH IMF/WORLD BANK and the Chinese criminal govt., something like, Rs. 457,000/- per head as loan repayments. GOVI CRIMINALS have destroyed everything…..everything… Now they are giving us back again their infamous dessert after dinner…..Racial violence (Perpetrated by GOVI sponsored goons headed by CHAMPIKA RANAWAKA – the psychopathic criminal who finds a sneak in to any GOVI government that comes to power).

Yo Hamlet…….! Have you ever wondered why Sirisena and Maithree are doing nothing to arrest Mahinda Rajapakse who stole billions of Rupees from the treasury, for his mass murders/killings and robbing private establishments/companie from other original owners???? But, Rather he and his brothers are being protected by Rani/Maithree duo….. Why Chandrika selected this infamous scumbag, already a thief then, who stole TSUNAMI Relief funds, as the next choice for PRESIDENCY???? A less educated, thuggish mentality, psychopathic criminal becoming the head of state???? ………What is the qualification???? ITS THE CASTE that made this cheap criminal, shooting from the cess pit to the sky, as the PRESIDENTE. Why was SARATH FONSEKA was not given the chance to become the President???? They cooked the election and the crook became the PRESIDENT for the second time….. GOVIGAMA HEGEMONY. Why was Chandrika disfavored Kadirgamar to be the PM???? GOVIGAMA…. Why no political figure in the political parties (SLFP/UNP) even slightly, not hinting a sign, a dream to become a PRESIDENT one day???? GOVIGAMA obstacle…… If anyone, for example, even a figure like MANGALA uttered a word of becoming a future PRESIDENT…. he will have to dream first, floating upside down in the KELANI river. In the GOVI Pyramid system, only a GOVIYA can be the PRESIDENT/ or the number one man….and no one else.

Its time for the PEOPLE OF SRI LANKA to produce and bring into the Political scene system devoid of GOVIGAMA RULING ELITES. These GOVI bastards ARE TOTALLY unsuitable rule or govern a country. All they are experts in is fomenting RACIAL HATRED among the population to keep everyone dumb and constantly fighting over something they create to fight over. They thrive on keeping the populace on constant fear and suspicion and create conflicts that led to bloodbaths. From D.S. Senanayake up to the present day, the so called influential BUDDHIST Leaders and characters did one thing PERFECTLY….Its the RACISM. Govi hegemony is a curse the BRITISH DUMPED ON OUR HEADS. THE CURSE that so many of our generations are paying the price and still have to pay more price as the SINHALA people are easiest ones that be can duped many millions times on the pretense of GOVIS come as saviors of BUDDHISM and the Sinhala RACE. We need NON-GOVI , a decent, human hearted person to lead the nation, be that anyone from the CITIZENRY. Peace and serenity will prevail for many centuries that our future generation could experience. We are the unluckiest ones to live through the 70 years of corruption filled GOVI CRIMINAL ELITE governance and mismanagement of this beautiful country of ours.

We did have a non-Govi guy – problem is, the establishment hated him for that very reason

and then someone blew him up

Govi, Non-Govi has nothing to do with it.

I am 100% sure Gotabhaya had an understanding with MR’s nemesis camp prior to 2015 Presidential elections. Although Mahinda was taken by surprise when Sirisena was nominated as UNP’s candidate, there are all the reasons to believe that Gotabhaya and Basil both were aware of it.
A man, who claimed to be the mastermind behind elimination of LTTE and developing a world class army and above all a world class intelligence service which even captured and brought down KP and LTTE ships to Sri Lanka even surprising sophisticated LTTE network, not having a slightest knowledge of Ranil’s and Chandrika’s conspiracy to field Sirisena against Mahinda, is hard to believe. The close rapport between Gotabhaya/Dudley was pretty obvious to anybody.

Too bad SJ that he “S” dropped out of both Sirisena and sword. Sirisena is now irisena (striked off) as a presidential PISSA leading the country! The “S” fell of the word “SWORD” too and now the presidential pissa is mincing his empty words. IMPEACH THIS [Edited out] now or send him to ANGODA mental institution. Then bring in a regime that can put a gun to a criminals head and pull the trigger or even impose martial law until we can re-build law and order. Our’s is an anarchic and failed state. I have warned many times that our law and order is in the SEWER! Grant the defense establishment to General Fonseka or the like’s like STF Latif or Travis Siniah’s or many Generals or retired defense official that I can name a few who will do this clean up. The country will see a turn around in 72 hours with this saffron robe THUGS ANNIHILATED !

This guy is a disgrace to the office of the presidency.

He wants to lead but be cannot as he does not have the competency. He held key positions under the Rajapaksa govt not because of his competency but because of his incompetency. MR gave this fool titles and kept him like a puppet while his family and merry men looted the country.

    “Please Find Sirisena’s Sword”
    Why even look for it?

What has happened has happened. Country has no time to do any analysis , any right thinking man with a modicum of understanding knows who is who and who is doing what. All politicians are in mortal fear for their lives , they very well know that unless they retain their positions and power by hook or by crook they will have to face the music. Only man who can take the Bull by the horns legitimately by virtue of his position is Prime Minister. As Minister of Law and order he should know what to do. The bane of our country is the indifference and scant regard to the Law of Justice demonstrated by the two leaders during the past three years. Their personal egos and and their political future have taken precedence, which to say the least is uncouth and selfish. As PM is confident about the majority in the House and in UNP supporters , he must stand by them and retrieve them at any cost as he too is responsible for this catastrophe. Bring to forefront honest and capable members in Parliament and get their cooperation to clean up the dirty political games in the country. As things are PM may not get any support from the past regime .His delay and inaction will entrench him deeper in the mire and will reach the point of no return and power will be offered in a platter to the very people who were shown the door by the convincing majority of citizens at the last two General Elections.

sometime back vasudeva called ranil by an unparliamentary name and was criticised for it.
but judging by his performance before and after the riots he does appear to have been correct
i wont be surprised if we find ranil singing and dancing at the royal-thomian match
sirisena is a pathetic figure trying to run the presidency like a grama sevaka office and after the electoral defeat making overtures to the rajapaksas as insurance for his family,s business interests in case the pohottuwa wins as is likely in 2020
no one takes him seriously as his daily sermons are not followed by action
the sword will continue to be in the scabbard

MS as the minister of defence and RW as the minister of Law and order failed the Tamils and especially now the Muslim population of SL in HUGE way! I was (and still is) critical of Sarath Fonseka due to allegations of war-crimes against him. SF, GR, MR all of them were accused of war-crimes. But now, I am opened to SF becoming the minister of Law and order . MS has proven to be useless but you can only get rid of him through impeachment. RW on the other hand can be thrown-out. UNPers must decide. If a young fellow like Harin from Colombo could hold many votes in rural areas like Badulla, that means UNP still can succeed if the incompetent baboons heading the party now are thrown out. The UNP should seriously start considering the inclusion of retired military persons who have little to no allegations against them. This is critical to counter GR and his bandwagon.

Shyamon JayasingheI can not understand whether you are bashing MY3 in order to support UNP or whether you are unaware about facts. there is overwhelming facts that MCC via IMF and world bank are directing Ranil. Ranil some hiow wants to be the president. He is ready to do any damned thing in order to go his way. There is western influence (probably via Hindians) asking not to remove Ranil.

The problem is our politicians are with daggers on the back to kill each other. Others want their establishment in the country. So, they want the country bankrupt and that helps them to buy everything they want. But, No one can understand what Ranil does. It looks simply he wants to be the president. Otherwise, he is not helping any one. He has money but everything overseas.

SF doesn’t have a mandate even to be a MP. A reject by the electorate. Such a person with lot of anger doesn’t possess the required attributes to manage law & order. It’s akin to giving a razor to a monkey.

      Hela

      “A reject by the electorate.”

So what, many rejected crooks were appointed through national lists and now in the cabinet.
The great shameless liberator Dr Mahinda lost his presidential elections then sneaked into parliament on sympathy vote.

      • 1
        0

NV, people gave their verdict against bringing rejected crooks through the back door by yamapalanaya at the LG polls. Voters will again give a similar verdict in the upcoming polls too. MR didn’t sneaked. He was overwhelmingly voted into the parliament. Now he boasts possessing the largest vote bloc in the country. You may not like it. But hard luck.

          Hela

Don’t be silly. Don’t belittle yourself.
On 8th January 2015 Dr Rajapaksa (LLD + 3 PhD) was rejected by 6,217,162 votes. The rejected cheat shamelessly got into parliament later.

“Voters will again give a similar verdict in the upcoming polls too. “

Voters vote for all sorts of reasons, for example promise of eight measures of free rice from Moon, promise to teach the Demelas and Thambiahs a lesson both will never forget, killing innocent Demelas, crooks making deals with terrorists preventing people from voting, ……………… Election is about parties throwing a package of many promises and people vote for the most attractive promises, out of old loyalties, outrageously racist candidates/policies, ………………. Voters do not seem to make informed choices. Isn’t it the reason why most stupid, racist, bigoted, parochial ………………… candidates are being elected consistently.

Isn’t it why you support most reactionary policies, actions, promises … and candidates?

“Who so pulleth out this sword of this stone and anvil is right-wise King born of all England.’’
Arthur, then no king, went up and managed to pull out the sword. This is how he became King of England. In due course England annexed Scotland, Wales and Ireland and later the colonial power.
    .
The Sirisena sword is a ‘Made in China’ plastic sword. Suitable for use in school plays.
