Rajapaksa Should Be Arrested

By Shyamon Jayasinghe

Shyamon Jayasinghe

Politicians no longer ask the question if it is true; rather whether it will sell.

What is this government of President Sirisena doing? Waiting, watching, ruminating while the old dictator is mobilising crowds unleashing his money and the moneys of other former UPFA government’s Ministers including his rich brother Basil Rajapaksa. Maybe Yoshitha’s phantom grandma has also put in some of the riches she is said to have earned after selling the sapphires mysteriously gotten from a heavenly angel. Sri Lanka is fairy land-although broke.

My primary focus is on the recent political developments running up to Galle Face May Day. Here, from so far away, we in Australia with a bit of political intuition can see the conspiracy unfolding before our eyes. Vickramabahu, perhaps Sri Lanka’s sincerest politician, announced an imminent danger in an interview that is becoming viral in social media. The old clan led by Mahinda Rajapaksa are hell -bent on coming back to rule until Mahinda dies. This must happen before the court cases get through. They are a desperate political junta. Desperate because their lives are at stake. When people are desperate they will do anything to survive. That is the human behavioural law. Maitripala Sirisena and Ranil Wickremesinghe must know this.

The outlines of the conspiracy is getting clearer by the day. The junta gets round the once-respected GMOA to spearhead trade union activity when their primary responsibility is to heal the sick. This is one clear frontline of the Mahinda Rajapaksa strategy. More than any other trade union that of the doctors of medicine has the strongest blackmailing power. This is the first time in the world we have seen a noble elite of men and women, raised and trained by the money of taxpayers to look after the sick, the wounded and the dying, behaving in this outrageous manner. Trade unionism is a recognised right all right; but medical doctors and related health personnel are not expected to employ the right to strike unless after exploring every other avenue.

The GMOA, that never blinked an eyelid when Mahinda, while in power, set put the SAITM and gratuitously showering benefits on that private medical college. Only now does the GMOA see the immediate danger of SAITM. They are frantic about it and not willing to get into any creative solution by discussion with the government to solve the issue that was not the government’s creation anyway. GMOA is obtuse about viewing the problem from the point of view of the students already there. No, they want to organise islandwide trade union activity. Never heard of a GMOA attempting to get around workers in the petroleum industry and other critical industries to join them in a kind of hartal. A hartal is what this trade union is aiming at. Like the one in 1962 that drove away perhaps of Sri Lanka’s best Prime Minister, Dudley Senanayake. GMOA now wants to drive away the new government of yahapalanaya that was elected  by the people sans any controversy about  election manipulation.

Any out -of -the box proposal of the government, is meat for the GMOA mill in this collective effort. It is astonishing that its rank and file does not see through the manoeuvres of its leaders. Doctors are supposed to be educated, critical and enlightened. Aren’t they? The move to form a regional trade agreement with our neighbouring India (ECTA) is opposed. What have doctors got to do with such policy matters? The best part of this is that the agreement is not even finalised for public consumption. It is in the process of negotiation. Agreements for leasing land to China in Hambantota  partly as a way of solving the massive debt trap with that country that Mahinda Rajapaksa had created and partly as a sound concept of foreign direct investment with the potential of generating jobs for our youth, is opposed.

What more? It looks like the government will have to consult the GMOA in future before they moot any future projects. Why not  give such a modus operandi constitutional status in the proposed new constitution? Good idea. Doctors would also be able to make big bucks like other politicians. The country will then be saddled with a serious problem of trying to find doctors who can heal our sick.

While these background developments were on the burner, Mahinda and his men organised a May Day in Galle Face. Crowds of people were packed into buses and lorries and brought to fill Galle Face.

See! We have filled Galle Face,” the former dictator cried. Unlike in the other two rallies of the UNP, SLFP and JVP we hardly saw any party caps among the audience. With the black money in possession, the downtrodden from villages in Down South were persuaded to attend. Jocular artists like Wijeweera were made to perform.

The highlight to me was how Wimal Weerawansa was introduced as, “the man who went to jail due to his heart-pouring and overflowing love for the country.” Is that why Wimal was arrested? He is charged for embezzlement of some millions of rupees of public funds and diverting houses constructed out of taxpayer money to his kith and kin. What an overflowing patriotism that was! Poor Wimal tried his old antics of going on a non-dying fast- unto- death but none took him seriously. It was like calling,”Wolf! Wolf!.”

To cap it all, was the May Day speech of Mahinda Rajapaksa, where he became utterly jingoistic underlying the need to save the motherland! It was rabble rousing and insular intone-full of deception and what we now know as “alternative facts.” The term became famous and instantly entered the lexicon of politics after Donald Trump’s senior Adviser, Kellyanne Convey, fist used it.

Mahinda has quickly learnt from the Trump campaign of lies. From the Trump campaign the world began to realise that “politicians no longer ask if its true; rather whether it will sell.” Mahinda knows well to create alternative facts that will sell. Above all, he threatened to bring a similar crowd next time and take over the government! Can you beat that?

Mahinda Rajapaksa’s plans are clear and government must be quick to pay heed instead of sleeping over what is going on underneath. It is good that President Sirisena reduced the former President’s security. Executive Presidents are generally constitutionally guaranteed security upon retirement. However, the key word here is retirement (from politics.) This man does not fall under that category because he intends to sabotage the government of the day that has been democratically elected with a mandate to clear. Such a government can be turned out only at an election.

Mahinda Rajapaksa is in a conspiracy. It is laughable, therefore, when he demands so much security. Security for what? To go about his campaign and his clandestine moves to conspire against the government. It is a case of demanding  government funds to destroy the government? Funny and weird isn’t it? Only governments in Lal La Land can do that.

Mahinda cries saying his life is in danger? When he has decided to play an aggressive and undermining political role, yes he raises the level of security that he would need. In other words Mahinda has created his own security threat. Besides this is a man who had the scantest of respect for the lives of others while he was in power.

In the light of these considerations I believe that the former President’s security should not only withdrawn. He must be deemed a security threat to the state and arrested

President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe are behaving like two submissive cuckolds who are too scared to respond vigorously to the outrage being committed against them and simply allow it to go on.

As I mentioned before, these are two guys who are too inept to organize a booze party in a brewery.

Thanks for your braveness Mr. Even today there are no men to stand against the bugger s arrest. He is the person who has been sabotaging everything in this country. Ranil led govt has failed to stand against the man yet, shows his political leadership while MY3 as executive prez has even made him a puppet not being able to get most abusive men cornered in this lost island.

2.5 years gone, what have they achieved in the line of putting at least one single man in jail in terms of the high crimes perpetrated by them.

It is just they go merry go round and we enjoy.. time is high now all the culprits to be revealed by prevailing law. Then the punnakku eating lanken masses finally get it. They have to.

Simone, Wake up and see the sky! Why has MR and family not been arrested you ask? Because Your buddy bond-Scam Ranil Wickramasimghe who appointed Mahendran as CB Head to loot the Central Bank and people of Sri Lanka is more corrupt than Mahinda Jarapassa!

There is an old saying that people who live in glass houses cannot throw stones!!! Ranil appointed the corrupt clown who is Gota the goon’s buddy, Wijedasa Rajapassa as Minister of Justice to block investigations into the Mahinda Jarapassa family, to undermine Sirisensa and SLFP because of his greed for power. Ranil is sick and devious beyond belief. Sirisena’s SLFP and JVP will win next election as people are fed up of MR and Bond scam Ranil.

CBG is just one another officer only. Not a politician. Issue is also under investigation. And the funds they will get back after the investigation is completed – the hope is there.

But how many of the kind have shared their parts in the distruction of the state funds under the most abusive Rajapakshe as a minister of finance ?

In today s context UNP has failed to prove the nation that FORMER regime is to be blamed – since then Mr President would be caught.

Here the ball is in the hand of Puppet President SIRISENA, he has to wake up. If not today, tomorrow, he has to stand up and let HIGH CRIMINALS be arrested. That is no means a party betrayal.

Gota and Gota s goon buddy can both be arrested if the charges levelled ast them are becoming clear. Why to protect anyone if the evidences meet with all the allegations. THat is how they have to show that LAW AND ORDER IS ABOVE EVERYTHING. B

Another interesting story or conspiracy theory.

Whom would you appoint Minister of Justice if you were Ranil?

NV: Anyone but Wijedasa Jarapassa! How about the former CJ?

Ranil has now asked Sira not to reshuffle the Cabinet or change his corrupt Ministers – Ravi K the corrupt crook needs to go too!

              Don Stanley

              “How about the former CJ?”

You mean Mohan Pieris or Sarath Nanda De Silva?

I am sorry to say leaders are completely corrupt a mirror reflection of their constituency.

Mahanayakes (suppose to be the moral guardians) are completely silent on everything except on issues connected to minorities.

Youth have no hope apart from carrying local thug’s/politician’s b***s.

              ….

Now tell me where would you find a honest Minister of Justice?

Today the saffron clad thug Gnanasara announced he was going to join Wimal Sangili Karuppan Weerawansa to protest against Hindia. Why?

          It’s desperate times!

I believe there is an invisible hand protecting SL. :))

First it saved us from India then from Prabakaran and finally Mahinda.

I think it’s gonna save us this time too.

Ranil Wickramasinghe protected Wimal Weerawansa when he was arrested for Passport fraud a couple of years ago.

There is NO doubt TODAY that the Prime Minister who is dishing out duty free SUVs to corrupt politicians while the country is bankrupt, and trying to sell off National wealth and lands to fly by night private equity firms like TPG which is in hot water in Australia over trying to destroy Fairfax Media House today that is the biggest fraud and King of Corruption in Sri Lanka TODAY!

        • 8
          3

Ranil Wickramasinghe should also be arrested for Mega Financial Crimes and planning mega financial crimes:
Shaymon Jaya and CT editors please cover this MEGA story: In Australia these days the firm picked by Sri Lanka’s bond scam team to sell Sri Lankan Airlines, the US private equity firm, TPG of San Francisco that pulled out from taking over Sri Lankan, but may now be back is in hot water! Australian Broadcasting Corporation carried the story on TPG dealings with Myer that offer some insight into Fairfax offer
TPG has offered to buy Fairfax’s best known businesses. (ABC News: Michael Janda)Related Story: Fairfax Media in talks with TPG over partial buyout proposal
Whenever unabashed greed and large sums of money collide, controversy is sure to follow. In the secretive world of private equity funds, specialist takeover vehicles that grew out of the 1990s recession and reached their zenith in the buyout frenzy leading up to the Global Financial Crisis, that’s become par for the course.

Now they’re preparing to pick over the carcass of Fairfax Media, the floundering former giant of Australian newspaper publishers, following a formal approach from TPG Capital to snap up the company’s key assets. Shining a light into the world of private equity

Mayer: Immediately after the float, TPG was embroiled in controversy and scandal. The float delivered a profit of almost $1.5 billion. But the money immediately was transferred to several associate companies in the Cayman Islands.

The Australian Tax Office hit TPG with a demand for $678 million and attempted to freeze the company’s bank accounts. But it was all too late. The loot was gone. Turned out, TPG’s Australian offshoot didn’t actually own the Myer shares it sold. It was merely an adviser to two other companies, NB Queen of Luxembourg and its parent, TPG Newbridge Myer, domiciled in the Cayman Islands. The fight went on for years and while the ATO failed, it shone a light into the dark recesses of the world of private equity that some say forced greater disclosure on the industry.

Selling national assets to corrupt private equity firms that do massive money laundering via shell companies to benefit the US and UK and EU economy, is the solution prescribed by IMF and WB for debt crisis.
Greece followed this path of selling of national assets that had been looted by its corrupt politicians, and now is in a massive debt trap with the people of Greece suffering as all social safety nets, health and education are being destroyed. Sri Lanka on the advise of IMF is headed in the same diraction.
Let us hope that the GMOA and TUs and JVP protest and block all the sales of Hambantota, Colombo port and SL to private equity firms of China and US to benefit the global 1 percent..

Absolutely. Arrest him. What the heck are we waiting for?

I am appalled this guy is roaming about free. Whining about his lost limitless privileges.

While backboneless Sirisena and RW are playing disgusting, backroom, deal-making politics, former self-appointed Maha Raja is getting ready to set the nation on fire again.

Arrest the whole criminal Rajapassa clan, extended family, cronies and their henchmen. Most of them are well-known criminals anyway.

A few might scream. The country will rejoice.

      Cheers!

“While backboneless Sirisena and RW are playing disgusting, backroom, deal-making politics, former self-appointed Maha Raja is getting ready to set the nation on fire again.”

That is not that easy you may think.

RW’s b***s are tied to MR’s ones and MR’s b***s are tied to RW’s ones.

It would hurt if any one of them pulled away from the other.

Further the army has been divided for a long time probably the division started to appear during Weeping widow’s reign.

SLFP tended appoint/promote its own people and UNP did the same. Of course immediately after 1990 JVP tried to invade all three forces in in the guise of fighting the Demelas. During 2009 presidential election the division visibly appeared, between Gota’s boys and Sarath’s loyalists.

It would be difficult to gauge the mood of the armed forces.

The ordinary people on the other hand though they may not like the clan they still believe clan single handedly won the war hence there is some remaining feudal loyalty towards the thieving clan. The first question they would ask you is who is clean, who has not killed, who has not defrauded, who is honest, …… according to many, they are all same but only difference is the scale.

The Mahanayake and their nationalist supporters are itching for a riot which means the end of the liberal constitution making.

Why are NS n Ranil pussy footing? MS MUST understand IF I saw IF MR comes to power..his life is at threat…remember MS saying immediately after winning…that he had gone to a friends estate on the night of elections anticipating being killed by MR if he eon? Since MS n EW are too timid…they should let a man with a SPINE to hold the reins if Defense Ministry…and that’s none other than SF…who has experience in defense related affairs n also has a score to settle with the Jarspaksas….that way we can rid of corruption and the GMIA issues dies down….

Live to see MR n Gita in jumpers n in line to obtain their meals….bugger’s NEVER believed that a day would dawn when they may be sitting at the opposite side of the tables…

Sadly the media men played a big role in convincing people with fake news. Rajapakse will always be popular just like Le Pen and Trump. No minority can shake the faith of the Buddhist Sinhalese in the Rajapakses.

      Shyamon Jayasinghe ,

      RE: Rajapaksa Should Be Arrested

      1. Yes, Mahinda Rajapaksa, MaRa, should be arrested.

      2. Yes, Mahinda Rajapaksa, MaRa, should be tried, and given a fair trial.

      3. Yes, Mahinda Rajapaksa, MaRa, if found guilty, should be

      a) punished according to the law, or

      b) exiled, just like what the British did to Sri Wickrama Rajasingha, or

      c) pardoned for his crimes, give him a boat, and ask him to fish in the Indian Ocean, and export the fish to EU, now that the land of Native Veddah Aethho, has got GSP Plus status.

If the above are procedures are not followed, impeach

      a) The President Mairipala Sirisena, and

      b) Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe.

In this so-called Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, originally the land of Native Veddah aethho, currently occupied by the Paras, is there a Law and Order? Is there a constitution?

I agree with the writer that President Sirisena engulf in resurrecting the SLFP has lost his powers to run the country, and Ranil while playing with the GTO and Paskaralingam has got his priorities all mixed up. Trade Unions can demand and go on strike if the government has violated any of their rights, but Medical education is not part of their job description unless otherwise they teach in a Medical school. Then why this governmentllow this bunch of trouble makers supporting Mahinda Rajapaksa and his corrupt regime to place poor sick people in danger. President Sirisena without doing his daily preachingsnowshould use his Madu Walige to tame these politically motivated Doctors by their throat and tell them their service is an essential service and stop all Private practice . There is a case before the Tangalle MC for ordering SECto use Public Money to construct the Carlton Pre School in Tangalle spending Rs. 45 million by Mahinda Rajapaksa when he was the President. This is a serious allegation and he should be arrested and his civil rights should be removed for this violation of his powers.

MS & RW brought the country into a pathetic state by dilly dallying with Rajapakses and their stooges

  • 9
    0

Our dear prime minister is not going to get tough with anyone. He lives on cloud 9. Occasionally he will come down to earth and give secret orders not oppose bail as he did for Wee Wee. He firmly believes in non confrontation and forgiveness to those who threaten him. So he wont bell the cat or to put it in American terms Lock them up. Sirisena on the other hand can lock them up but wont due to cowardice and stupidity. He has surrounded him self with the former yes men and kicks into his own goal. Therefore we can only hope for a miracle just like what happened on January 8th. Lets prey for another miracle. This time for the conviction and incarceration of the entire Rajapakshe family of crooks and scoundrels before they eat what is left of this country. If god granted us the first miracle then surely he must grant us the second for it must follow on from the first one.

  • 7
    4

Sirisena the Gamarale and Ranil the dreamer are both living in their own world. The Rajapakse’s have done enough damage to the country that’s beyond repair. They have swindles the state and committed enough frauds and murders with proven evidence to lock them up for a century. But the two inept ones at the top choose not to see it. They will transfer out even the few decent officers who get close enough to do the right thing by arresting these crooks.
Therefore the end is predictable unless some miracle happens.

But Ranjan Fernando, in the days to come, they have to change their ways else, there will be an another wave as is the case in arabic countries. Now people are so fed up of not seeing them the bunch of thugs being treated by law. Now 2.5 years gone, why not a single person in Rajapakshe murderous family is prisoned for all the high crimes they deliberately commited by thinking the war victory as their family’s licence to do any anti human activities ?

        Ben Idiot,

I think he has criticized the wrongs done by MR government, when MR was in power. Even with all the wrongs, MR is the most successful leader who did most to the country. Among the likes of JR, Premadasa, Wijeythunga, Sirimavo, SWRD, DS, Dudley Mahinda is a giant. None of them delivered economic development and protection of sovereignity of the country defeating a terrorist organisation like MR did..

The weaklings like CBK and RW cannot even compare with Mahinda.

So just because Mahinda did SOME wrongs, we cannot stand idle and Let Rw destroy the whole country…

          Sach,

How often do you lick Rajapassa boots? What do you get in return? Are you a Rajapassa slave? Shame on you!

Mahinda was paid a salary to be the President for 2 terms and protect SL and her constitution. That was his job. That was it. Nothing more.

BTW, we all now how that shameless scam artist of a President protected the constitution by bribing corrupt MPs.

Many people in SL work hard and do their jobs well. It does not mean SL belongs to them and their families.

What about SLA soldiers who gave their lives? Are Rajapassa opportunists, thieves & killers more important than them?

Learn to love your country and her people. Not cunning, mafia-like politicians.

          Cheers!

            ben idiot,

just because you lack grey material in your skull to understand the damage this RW fool and his unp clan do to SL does that make me a rajapaksa boot licker?

Every partiotic SLn cannot and will not forget the great service MR did to this country irrespective of what bad he did. The so called bad he did pales into insignificance considering what RW has done and been doing.

Idiots like you who are blinded by party allegiance is the biggest bane in this country.

You stupid ben has NO understanding on the level of damage this yahapala fools have been doing to SL…

Between boot lickers are in yahapalana side, those who have any love left for the country should have already abandoned this yahapalana stupidity and join with the alternative.

yes, Bennie our people forget that Presidents too are paid for their services.
Mr Cameran (UK)or former Chancellor Helmut Kohl (Germany), US (Obama) were all state leaders, none of them expect people to praise them. They have returned to their normal day life after having served their termss. They would not pull the leg of their succeessors. But srilanken former president ballige putha has not yet been able to relinguish his greediness to power.

            • 3
              4

Must be a typo. If someone calls another as ballige putha, he must be meaning his own son not our previous President.

              • 2
                2

If anybody would act the manner a bitch s son would do, there is no wrong calling him as such. In this great week entire world celebrates the buddhas trilogy, we need to focus on the evils that way, as many see it.
I really dont know why you sound to be that nervous having seen it by your eyes. Would any academic want to see the manner former Prez s activities block almost day today life of the people today ? Who are behind those GMOA distasteful acts, if not former Prez led abusive forces ? The poor has been taken to all ends just because the former man is intoxicated by his power greediness.

I don’t think it is right to call him that. Actually, you are insulting his mother, calling her a bitch, more than MR himself. It is not good to bring family members, especially mothers, in to the discussion and insult them publicly like that, whatever the crime may be. That is my humble opinion. Take it or leave it.

Moreover, it is the bad English. (Or is it Yiddish?). There is a saying in Sinhala which goes ‘One can bear up the pain of crocodile teeth but not the pain of Kohila’ thorns.

I can bear up the insults but not the bad English. To make matters worse, look at the peaceful name! Ha! Ha! And a He! He!

You may be feeling that yours is the best, but I could understand others well than those of yours. Anyways, please give vesak to spread MY3 to all. Thanks Edwin, you sound to be somewhat civilized for all these days. How come ?

DS, you say, “Edwin, I thought yours are often misleading the CT readership”. Great if I had the power to do that. But how am I misleading them?

About the language, I am only joking. I can understand what she says like Andara Demala.

“Thanks Edwin, you sound to be somewhat civilized for all these days. How come”?

You have to thank CT for that. They put a complete ban on me. There is nothing one can do when they do that. So I came back with my tail between my legs.

CT thinks that the new Edwin is the improved 2017 model. Heh! Heh! To a certain extent I am. I look a different but underneath the bonnet nothing has changed.

By the way, why do Sama and all other ladies want MR to be hung by his —–? Why not the neck?

Wish you a peaceful and Happy Wesak.

P.S.: Psst… Can you please translate Sama’s post for me.

You have seen the leaves from the trees matchang. If you go back into history you will find that the Bandaranaikes brought all the catastrophes on our Nation since independence. Chandrika is at the base here again making all kinds of allegations against the Rajapakses. As a media man who was in the know about what was going on during Chandrika’s rule I personally know that she is full of shit and it is pouring out of her ears! Ranil and Sirisena are merely bunt ignorant tools in her box of malice and hatred towards everybody not least the Tamils. She and her parents deceived the Sinhalese Buddhists into believing the Bandaranaikes were going to bring them everything including education and employment. She kept the war going appointing some of the most servile men as Heads of Security. It was only the Rajapakse Regime who saw Sarath Fonseka as ideal to lead and now he has been turned against that regime. All this poppycock written is displaying ignorance of fact.

Is not Rajapksa also a successor to the SWRDB tradition?

It was Mrs B who gave him the initial political boost?

In fairness, MR had the courage to stand up to Premadasa when he did wrong.

But Chandrika nominated MR as SLFP Presidential candidate after MR tampered with money for tsunami victims.

            Who is blaming whom now?

As I mentioned before regarding his earlier article, the impact of Galle Face on the psyche of Shyamon is very clear. Arrest/Kill are the usual responses of the vassals of imperialists when they are challenged. At least Jehan Perera who also got rattled had a much better politically sensible suggestion. There is a demand for MR due to prevailing political conditions in the country consequent to the failures of MS/RW combine. Arresting or killing political opponents will not make those conditions go away. In fact they will exacerbate to a point of a massive implosion. While Shyamon sipping some fine wines in Australia will not get affected. The brunt will be borne by the ordinary folk of SL..

DAYAN JAYATILLEKA we are not by any means getting jittery. As I have said, MR throws all his black money to shepherd crowds. The miserable, poor, folk grab the cash and come but MR’s crowds are not votes. Remember how excited you got about Nugegoda? The utter decency of Sirisena and Ranil in not dealing with these scoundrels but waiting for legal processes to work is shocking us. On the other hand, the outrageous conduct of the MR junta amazes us. They walk naked in the open daylight and also have the audaciousness to demand security from the govt to attack the government. Which is the government in the world that does that?

“The miserable, poor, folk grab the cash and come but MR’s crowds are not votes.”

There was a large crowd at one of MR’s hustings in Vanni just before 2015 presidential elections. A Colombo based reporter asked an old man whether the entire crowd would vote for MR, the old man responded “If a young women smiled at you it doesn’t mean she was going to marry you”.

This story was reported in one of the Colombo based English language News paper.

    Dear Writer,

It seems to me that you have gone mad or closer to that stage. You live in Australia and better knows what is good governance and democracy.

But your double standards as a “Yahaplanaya” boot licker is demonstrated in your writing and conclusion given below:

“In the light of these considerations I believe that the former President’s security should not only withdrawn. He must be deemed a security threat to the state and arrested”.

You are becoming an “Un-Australian” mate as your writing demonstrates that you are becoming so fearful about changing the government through vote.

You are a retired civil servant of Sri Lanka. Simply ask the question WHY so much of Sri Lankans are participating at the meetings attended by MR. Simply ask the question WHY?
Then again ask the question why “Yahapalanaya” “Pachayas” are getting unpopular day by day??

Then you will come into your normal state of mind.
You must understand most people of Sri Lanka hate the “Yahapalanaya” now. You do not have to be a political scientist to understand this simple fact but simply ask those two questions given above from a three wheel driver in Sri Lanka.

Shyamon Jayasinghe should take a little time to ponder why the removal of the second batch of 50 security personnel from MR was abruptly halted and reversed, and who by.

One gathers that it was the Mahanayakes who intervened.

One can imagine the social consequences if more serious persecution were to take place against MR.

The last time the UNP went down this road, in the 198s, its assassinated members couldn’t be carried above the knees of the mourners. It took Ranasinghe Premadasa, Sirisena Cooray, and Ossie Abeygoonesekara, (all of whom I worked with) to save that party from being butchered in its collective bed.

There’s no Premadasa or Cooray around to save it today from the consequences of stupid actions such as those that SJ talks dreams of.

      DJ,

Once former corrupt, criminal Maha Raja is arrested and in prison, his security will be world class. Don’t you think?

Mahanayakes will be satsified about his security, as they do not oppose punishing criminals.

      Cheers!

PS: This country lacks a man with balls of steel to place the whole Rajapassa clan under arrest. That’s the problem. People will salute such a leader, if and when he of she emerges.

    Spring Koha, Old Codger, ……

The war monger smart ass patriot types:

“It took Ranasinghe Premadasa, Sirisena Cooray, and Ossie Abeygoonesekara, (all of whom I worked with) to save that party from being butchered in its collective bed.”

What is the difference between working with and worked for?

Are we buying his allusion that he single handedly saved UNP from being butchered in its collective bed?

    He types:

“One gathers that it was the Mahanayakes who intervened.”

The Mahanayakes withdrew their support for the protest against incarceration of Sarath Fonseka and cancelled their participation in the sit in after being threatened by Gota’s boys.

The Mahanayakes value their life and importance of white van fleet and wise enough to understand who was/is the master at the time and now.

Mahiand Rajapakasa who is liberated our country and nation from clutches LTTE-Tamil terrorist by aim of restoration of Democratic Rule in an Island wide.

He gave protection whole people and connected to very foundation of democracy society after 30years War of Tamil Separatism launch by Tamil-Terrorist of LTTE out-fit.

In fact the across the nation, that MR has been provide Security for all nationalities regardless ethnic and religion roots of people Sri Lankan. Currently all people are enjoy peace and stability of our nation.

I do not understand how MR become risk at security of country. SJ is living not a land of this earth, or not by of any of country, but he is living in a heaven!!! Face reality of politics of land, country you had been born.

What ever the political ideologies differences you may having with MR or believed ,but you having No-right to turn your finger and say MR must arrest by prompt action by President and Primer.

“Mahiand Rajapakasa who is liberated our country and nation from clutches LTTE-Tamil terrorist by aim of restoration of Democratic Rule in an Island wide.”

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”
