Although the SLFP’s parliamentary group has unanimously decided to support the no confidence motion brought by the Joint Opposition against Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, the blessings of the party leader, President Maithripala Sirisena, is yet to be obtained according to SLFP sources.
When a group of SLFP MPs met with Sirisena this morning, Vijith Vijithamuni Soysa had asked him what his position is, to which Sirisena had replied, ‘read my body language; don’t you understand that this government has to continue?’
Subsequently at today’s Cabinet meeting Nimal Siripala Silva had conveyed the position of the SLFP parliamentary group to Wickremesinghe, urging him to resign before the no-confidence motion is taken up for debate tomorrow (4th).
Since Wickremesinghe has not agreed, the group had decided to meet President Sirisena again to finalize the course of action the party would take on the matter.

TNA is going to vote, against New King whom it brought in 2015 in with all its bogus talks, in favor Ranil claiming it has got signed a New 10 Commandments. It is a watered down version of its December 2014 election statement in favor of New King. Is TNA saying that now, New King, Old King, Old Brother Prince or even Vaalaithoodam Jr is not capable putting that signature to TNA to take it to North-East for vote harvesting?
Parliament has become a satirical theater. Tamils have lost on every front. Sinhala Intellectuals are boiling each other and drinking soup out of it. For the last four months, only politics in parliament, no other business.The country’s most sanctimonious chamber, Parliament, has become worse than brothel house or Kallu Kottele, in character.
Ranil should take the responsibility for having dated the LG election to teach a lesson to UNHRC.

Old King went to parliament to check if Dinesh had achieved the victory GLP achieved for them in LG election. It was failure. He has left the parliament. Joint Comedy Club will be demoted in future and Slap Party will be promoted. Vasu and Dinesh have to buy restaurants or motels in America(Communists don’t like the properties in China or Russia) to run their rest of the life.

Sirisena has squandered the political capital he built after switching sides. Six months ago he was poised to win a second term. His clean hands, soft demeanour portrayed him as a just and simple ruler. But today, he stands like a caricature, crestfallen and an object of ridicule and scorn by his friends and foes. He looks everything like a village headman and not presidential.
