Sirisena Again Talks About Forming New Government: Says Sri Lanka Will See Regime Change In 2019

While declaring 2019 as an election year, President Maithripala Sirisena assured that the country would see a new government this year.

Sirisena

Speaking at an SLFP Colombo District meeting held at Parliamentarian Thilanga Sumathipala‘s house in Colombo today, Sirisena said a broad people’s movement, led by the SLFP, would take the lead in establishing a new government in the country.

Sirisena made these remarks nearly five weeks after his attempt to form a new government failed. As Sirisena’s preferred government could not muster a majority support in Parliament, the President had to re-appoint his rival Ranil Wickremesinghe as the Prime Minister.

Today’s remarks indicated that Sirisena is unfettered by his failed attempt to form a new government last year.

“The need of the hour is not to defeat political parties or certain individuals. We need to identify the forces that are enemies of the public and defeat them comprehensively, ” Sirisena said at the SLFP meeting. “In every political party, there are people who love the country. We have to embark on a new journey with the support of all of them, irrespective
of party differences.”

Sirisena added, “Today we have to form a government with a fresh perspective. It is not the same way our political mentors formed governments in the 1950s and 60s. Today we have to seek the support of everyone who loves the country and strengthen our camp.”

The President urged all SLFPers to work 24 × 7 to form a government that loves the country. “If all of us act with the same determination, this may not be an impossible task,” he added.

      Hi my beleoved friends,
      .
Dont take anything comes from our incumbent president. There are enough evidences that the he had undergone to a sugery in order to get his both ends cross-implanted during his foreign visits.
      :
As anyone with some sanity would see it right, President SILLYSENA aka SHITSENA to stay in power should be con nected with not having built yet a people’s alliance standing against his contempt of courts. Even school going children would see it, anything comes from hm as head of state would be subjected to public outcry TODAY than no times before. This the kind of leaders we have not had in the history even if some leaders were crimnals comparable to Rajaakshes.

Statements heard today about this man and his unethical and unmoral acts trigger allergies EVEN in unborn children of the island nation.
    .
Moral debt these buggers have to pay to own folks is becoming greater day by day. Where on earth we could see, the president elected for stand against CORRUPTION and STATE abuse would turn out to be beyond appalling levels. Late Good POliticians and our Golden Sobitha thero predicted it as no others, if the EP would be passed to a BP of SHITSENA, things would turn out to be BEYOND all appalling levels. Unfortunately, we have reached to that episode, today. … this is unbearable.
    :
Over 6.2 millions of die hard voters made his Presidency reality, are betrayed, asif his top of pledges were set as ” abuse the power to the core”.
    .
Wonder if we would not see, ANOTHER SOMARAMAS or the like characters would not POP up in the most crucial months before next election. People would SPIT on his face next days not being able to bear their agony against this BP, whose acts obviously turining 180 degree the opposite.

I have no doubt that RajaFukshe and Sillysena with BRUTAL PERFORMANCES in politics will be remembered calling them as no second to Fransis Drake or today ‘s world zimbabwian Mugabe.
    :
Future srilankens will have to be used to frighten their little ones into behaving and sleeping by saying some RAJAKASHES/Sillysena would come after them. Rajapaskse would even become their Frankestein for sure. That will be the legacy, now SRILANKEN Mugabes (Rajakashe and SHITSENA) the new services of Fransis Drake of our times.

Modernisation does not mean Westernisation or Islamanisation or killing or destruction of our heritages and our age old cultural values or federalisation. It is a development of the country while preserving cultural heritages and values.Western countries never allow newly recruited Minorities to take lead in any event. But they can lead a peaceful life respecting particular country’s age old culture & traditions & adhering to their languages. Likewise 62% percent people voted for you clearly that was in mind. Your duty is to fulfill your voters desires.not to fulfill western aided NGOs desires. It is look like you now realised it. Though I was not a voter of yours I am happy about it.As a president if you can not work with your subordinates like PM, Ministers and the others It is upto you to change them. people are supreme lot of this country. Not the Judiciary. Wish you all the best Mr. President.

“people are supreme lot of this country. Not the Judiciary. Wish you all the best Mr. President”

What a load of ‘Rubbish’! “Sabbe Sankhara Aichcha”. “Not the Judiciary”?, Judiciary (Law) is the ‘Vinaya Pitakaya’s’ translation which applies to all humans (Sabbe Sattha).

    Moving toward Zimbabwe standard.
An ideal time for Chinese to take all this country under your roof.
Once Zimbabwe had no money to import oil so Mugawbe started to pawn embassy buildings in overseas to Kadhafi of Libya.
Soon Dubai now drowning in financial crises will send back all Punchi Banda and Podi Menikes.
    Cheers

Can Mr Sirisena mention the names of the MPs who are really dedicated to their country and has not ripped its economy.
Most are corrupt and don’t care about the country. We aren’t fools.

This news is hardly surprising. You had to have been naive to think when the Supreme Court ruled against the President’ irregular dissolution of Parliament, that he would simply accept the Court’s ruling and abandon, (a) his ambitions or (b)his plans to get rid of Ranil’s administration. And so he has continued his plotting and his planning. We have noted how, among other things, he has been taking with him on his overseas jaunts Oppositions MPs and others who would be useful for his ‘project’. Recently, he has been reported as saying he was concerned at how hard Sajith Premadasa is working lest he falls ill as a result. Why, so much concern for the Deputy Leader of the UNP? Of course SP is one whom Sirisena approached to challenge Ranil. It is not unreasonable to think he won’t ask him again. Sirisena may seem unsophisticated, say all manner of contradictory things and appear clueless but he is by no means a simpleton. He’s a shrewd operator, he’s tasted power – rasa watila –and is not keen – despite his assertions that he does not mind sacrificing his office (and his life) – to give up high office. And so, we ought to take seriously his statement that there will be a regime change in 2019 – what he means is he is busy working to achieve that goal.

Sinhala people and progressive minded people must start a new political party as SLFP, UNP, LSSP, TNA and all are failed to date.

That party must have firm and progressive policies like in Singapore, everyone is EQUAL, very strict on Rule of Law and JUSTICE and no one is above the Law!

Sri lanka’s corrupt and hate leaders, Monks and armed forces assets must be confiscated, passports cancelled, civil rights removed and be jailed if Sinhala people want to see a brighter future.

Hasn’t the president chosen the best moment and place at sumathipala residence to talk about the enemies of the country? Is he planning to substitute the current set of thieves with a gang of more afficient set of rogues?

“In every political party there are some with love for the country”

This statement must be tested in steps.

    1. Cancel MP salary & make a payment based on payments for expenses.

    2. Cancel retirement salary (pension). If required make Samurdi available for them.

    3. Permit only those with considerable wealth to contest. (assuming that before helping others/country they must be self sufficient
