President Maithripala Sirisena has informed all caretakers of the SLFP headquarters at Darley Road that former President Chandrika Kumaratunga and her supporters should not be allowed to enter the premises under any circumstances.

Sirisena has made the order upon his return to the country from a private holiday in Thailand, Colombo Telegraph reliably learns.
The decision has been made due to fears that Kumaratunga will engineer an internal revolt in the party challenging Sirisena’s party leadership.
A section of SLFP members have expressed strong opinions against Sirisena’s decision to enter into an alliance with the Rajapaksa group who caused irreparable damage to the party by forming the Sri Lanka Podujana Party (SLPP).
Colombo Telegraph exclusively reported that Sirisena ordered to close down the Darley Road headquarters until his return from Thailand.
The decision to close down the main party office follows a heated meeting between senior party officials and electorate organizers, on Saturday, over the current political situation.
At the meeting chaired by SLFP General Secretary Prof. Rohana Lakshman Piyadasa, a group of SLFP organizers severely criticized President Maithripala Sirisena’s decision to form an alliance with the SLPP. Senior party officials including S.B. Dissanayake, Nimal Siripala de Silva, Dayasiri Jayasekera and Duminda Dissanayake also attended the meeting.
The organizers who criticized the President’s actions lamented that the decision to contest elections together with the SLPP would uproot the SLFP at the grassroots level.

SLFP was started by SWRD and it was brought up by SWRD Family. Both Mahinda & Sirisena do not bother about SLFP. They only bother about Power. Mahinda used SLFP to become Prime Minister, President and Prime Minister again but the day he got that PM post he became an SLPP. What will happen to these SLFP MPs after the next general election? They will not get the chance to contest or if contested they will definitely be rejected by the people. That will be the end of their political career. People should be happy about it since we should also apply certain tactics to get rid of these useless parasites one by one.
UNP’s royal circle including RW will face the same tragedy. If Sajith gets a chance to lead the party, RaviK, Sagala, Malik and RW will be out the very next day. Actually, there will be more chaos within the UNP than within the SLFP.
When people realize that ‘Pohottuwa’ is more organized and has a solid organizer like Basil Rajapaksa and popular leader like MahindaR, who would not vote the SLPP?
We all know that the UNP didn’t win but just barely survived the last dramatic political power struggle. That too with serious and life threatening injuries. Instead of remedying them they inflict more injuries on the party and its leaders due to the ongoing struggle on ministers’ posts. Look at what RaviK, Ranga Bandara, Kiriella, and 8 backbenchers say contradictorily about ministerial positions.
Poverty stricken people hope the government would learn from past mistakes and do something to alleviate their economic burden; instead it appears that UNP ministers and MPs are engaged in a selfish power struggle. Their aim is to make as much money as possible within the next short tenure. Therefore, the obvious answer to UNP at any next election will be ‘get the hell out’!

CBK’s judgement of character of her successors have proved to be disastrous to the country. First it was MR, then it was Sirisena, & in both cases, the worm turned. At least she can enjoy her retirement in comfort with the generous perks & pension paid for by the poor tax payer & hop across to her pad in London in the summer for a change of scenery. So why the f**k does she want to step foot in Darley Rd? If it’s about saving the country, I think I will puke.

Ooooo La la. The final episode of Sirisena Drama has come. He now wants the Banadranayake’s family, who were the founder members of SLFP, not to step into SLFP, HQ at Darley road, Colombo.The whole world knows that he was behind the Saree potta (Chandrika) after becoming President with minority votes
and acted according to Chandrika’s dictates and today after three years of misrule, he does not want her to step into the HQ. This is height of cheek of a man who was a henchman under Chandrika’s presidency. Is there no one to tell him that RW is pushing him from one side and MR is pushing from the other side to his
grave and he still does not seem to realize that his days are numbered and having dreams of becoming the
President for the second time , probably with “Ghosts” votes, I presume .
In the interest of the country, can’t RW find 150 MPs and send this man home so that sanity prevails in the
Country, RW can easily find 150 MPs with the offer of portfolios.& perks and he is well versed in that game
