Sirisena Should Call A Snap Election And Appoint Mahinda As Prime Minister: Gota

Maithripala Sirisena has been elected President for six years. Therefore, he will have to continue. But he can quickly call for parliamentary elections and appoint Mahinda Rajapaksa as Prime Minister. Together, they should put the country back on its feet by providing a functioning government with people committed to achieving goals,” says the former Secretary to the Ministry of Defence Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

Mahinda GotaSpeaking to P.K. Balachandran of The New Indian Express last night, Mahinda Rajapaksa’s younger brother, Gotabaya claimed that Sri Lankans want Rajapaksa back. “Support for him has grown beyond the 5.8 million votes he got in the January Presidential election,” Gotabaya said.

According to Gotabaya, Sri Lankans are clueless as to who is in charge of the country.

“On the one hand there is Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe who is running the government. But on the other hand, Chandrika Kumaratunga, Champika Ranawaka and Rajitha Senaratne also claim to be in-charge. However, what is clear to the people is that there is no functioning government. All economic development projects initiated by the Rajapaksa government have been brought to a standstill. In the construction sector alone, over 100,000 workers have been rendered jobless by the stoppage of projects” Gotabaya told the New Indian Express.

Because officials are being hauled up before investigative agencies for alleged “procedural lapses”, no civil servant wants to take decisions. “If this situation is allowed to continue, the entire economy will collapse and it will be very difficult to put it back on its feet again,” Gotabaya warned.

Please let him and his brother stay where they are and lets enjoy the freedom of our expression.

This is a strategic stunt to create division amongst the governing coalition, woo the SLFP stalwarts to converge with Rajapakse snubs and tell the world that the government is unstable.

In my opinion there should be a snap election called and flush all crooks from the party regardless of who hey are. A carefully orchestrated campaign by the coalition can certainly defeat the Rajapakse group and make them shut all claims.

The Coalition government won the presidential election with all media in Rajapakse hands, government resources, unlimited supply of money, the armed forces and the manipulated justice system with a remote control in Rajapakse hand and the list goes on. In the absence of all these resources and the evidence of good governance witnessed and the efforts of some elite snubs cum criminals to derail the change from anarchy to orderly governance. All transformational changes are slow and gradual if it were to succeed. Fast track will derail the process and kill the credibility. This is exactly the conspirers in the political elite wants. Its time the public to decide whether they want the political elite to fight for their place or get the country back in the hands of the common masses.

If all the changes and the free society that is evolving is not appreciated by the Srilankan populous, I don’t think they deserve a good government.

Hi Sumane, Long time no hear. Where have you been? Might be coming out of the shell with the prospect of your MARA (ALI BABA & MORE THAN 40 THIEVES) having a glimmer of hope of getting a second chance to plunder and Rob the Nation.

DAY DREAM PAL, THAT DAY WILL NEVER DAWN AGAIN. YOUR MARA IS HISTORY, WHAT’S MORE BARA IS ARRESTED AS WE SPEAK. WAIT MORE DRAMA TO UNFOLD.

I am no fan of Rishad, but all what I know is your Master MARA was the President when all what you have mentioned, happened. LIKE MARA LIKE MINISTERS.

Now we have some decent people at the helm of Power, not BRUTE THUGS. Enjoy the rest of your life with MARA, poor chap needs company.

FYI, I see him on TV trying to redeem his sins thru BODHI POOJAS, can meet him mostly in Temples. If you happen to meet him, tell him no poojas will save or cleanse his sins now.

He has caused so much pain and agony to poor masses, not allowing them even the bare necessity of having three square meals, feeding their children and giving them a decent education.

Now the people are heaving a big sigh of relief, may be it does not augur well for the likes of you and MARA. Are you guys really sadists. The meaning really fits you and the MARA gang.”LIVE AND LET DIE”.

    What is the problem now?

there is a difference between the word promise and making a statement….He made a statement not a promise.. EVEN if he did, he would of heard the phrase.. Promises are meant to be broken.. :P …..whatever said and done MR MUST be held accountable for the lives lost under his watch, and for all the crimes committed by him, his family, kith n kin along with his stooges and henchmen..

Unity governmentt should include UNP, the main opposition, both president and premier from the same party won’t work because of floor crossing of elected representatives. Multi party system is an utter failure in Sri Lanka.

“”Speaking to P.K. Balachandran of The New Indian Express last night, Mahinda Rajapaksa’s younger brother, Gotabaya claimed “”

Gota, Bala and the newsprint is fooling the 86% Lankan villagers- sadu sadu!!

New Indian Express has less than 1/2 million circulation in a 1300 million nation.

(According to the Indian Readership Survey (IRS) 2012, the Times of India is the most widely read English newspaper in India with a readership of 7.643 million. This ranks the Times of India as the top English daily in India by readership.
    and is Jain/Buddhist ownership)

the owner Goenka `Bihari`(very dangerous villagers) had deliberately set fire to escape financial embarrassment.

The establishment has bigger circulation in Kerala but is head quartered at Chennai- the parasite in its splendour.

Naidu folk were out to destroy LKY and Singapore but failed miserably.

Lanka take care of the venom- they are Naxalites like journalist Bala who should be behind bars.

This change is the beginning of the end of orderly Sri Lanka as we knew it over the past 10 years or so. It has now turned into big talk shop: All Talk No Action and I will not be surprised if it soon descend to another Ethiopia or Congo thanks to spineless selfish politicians who now lead the country.

When the time comes when our government need to take advice from Gotabaya, that’s the time our fate gets doomed. This man is seriously deluded with his wisdom that only his goons cared for. His “Yes Men” have convinced him he won the war single handed and he believes we owe him to forgive all the excesses and the bribes and the thuggeries. I am surprised we have sycophants even in these columns or are they like the fake accounts of Scientologists bombarding adverse comments just to get them off the page.

Power is a shield from corruption. In power what ever one does by suppressing the voice and eyes of the masses is is accepted by the masses, not by choice but by circumstances. When the power is gone and the shield has fallen everything is exposed. To cover it up again one needs power and that is exactly what MR, GR and all those connected are trying to do, to dupe the masses again.

MR must first clear all the allegations against him to win the trust and confidence of the masses and then he is welcome to lead the nation again.

Both are true! MR is even struggling with words to express himself clearly and concisely on stage. He shows signs of forgetfulness of simple words, stuttering and puttering, a far cry from his usual self where his oratory skills on political platforms won him the day to the extent of winning all of his elections to become the country’s President. Could it be early signs of dementia, I wonder?

Must watch popular Video to understand who is MR and who are some of his cronies and propped up supporters, acting like homeless beggars inside of Parliament.

Rather than people want them they think this country is meant for thier private use. Therefore by hook or by crook they should come to power. They suggest to dissolve parliament before approving reforms in order to keep same excessive powers.
