So the wizard of Oz, Dayan Jayatilake, wants the world to condone the genocide of Tamils just because other similar cases elsewhere are going on!——————————————————————————-

This argument doesn’t hold water in law.

DJ is a Sinhala extremist, like many others including Vasudeva N.
——————————————————————————————— He must remember that the world order is determined by the 5 world powers with veto in the UN security council and if they come to a decision – that’s it.

2 out of the 5 ‘world powers’ happen to be China & Russia. So, that’s a ‘dead end’ for sure. Nice try though :)

Stupid Dayan Jayatilake must understand, if he is capable of, that the West didn’t support Sri Lanka’s war against the LTTE for annihilating the Tamils in the North-East: They did to end terrorism. Now MaRa regime is waging state terrorism against Tamils.————————————————————————————————– Would the West, or even Russia and China, support it? —————————————————————————–You may argue there is no state terrorism in the north-East, that’s why the diplomats from the West went there to find for themselves and found the truth. ——————————————————————————Now the West is acting against state terrorism, so stop howling and be fair, you 27 Sinhala big brains!

    Well said DJ. Excellent speech.

However, I do not think David Cameron or Stephen Harper would take up your challenge to visit Gaza or West Bank in Palestine.

If you watch this CH4 documentary, you will understand partly why:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0E70BwA7xgU

David Cameron is swimming in hypocrisy. In fact, Cameron is far worse than that other hypocrite, his predecessor Tony Blair. Who went all the way to hug Gaddafi.

Cameron personally bungles all UN or international investigations into war crimes of Israel in Palestine. Along with Harper of Canada.

They have no moral stature to preach to current corrupt & lawless rulers of Sri Lanka.

    Cheers!

You talk about the hypocrisy of Cameron and Harper but what about the hypocrisy of this guy Dayan?
(I initially wrote “this gentleman Dayan” but then realized that would be an insult to real gentleman of this world)

He was defending the MR regime (and continues to do so in the hopes of being recalled to Geneva 2014) but in March 2009 while he was defending this regime in Geneva Lasantha Wickrematunge lay dead !!!!
Yes, the very regime that this man was defending had silenced him !!

Iqbal Athas had ceased to write ! Yes, this regime that Dayan was defending had silenced him as well.
This is just two of the many that this regime silenced.

Don’t you think Dayan is a hypocrite then????

        Dev,

I think DJ was dejected by the ghastly murder of LW and chasing away of Iqbal Athas. Just like you and me.

As an ambassador he was just defending Sri Lanka’s national interests. That was his job.

        Cheers!

That’s a lame excuse as far as I am concerned; remember the Nazi soldiers who were simply “following orders”? Well that was their excuse anyway !

” As an ambassador he was just defending Sri Lanka’s national interests.”

Oh yes one can put it that way as well , as for me , i see DJ always looking after his interests first, in order to achieve his end goals DJ constantly uses modawansa type rhetoric i.e country, sovereignty , territorial integrity bla bla and gives a rats a… about countries Human right record , Ben show me a place where DJ has criticized MR or any of his siblings for any wrong doings , in SL there two kind of hypocrites , those who

          1) openly backing MR , no matter what
          2) criticize all the officials and distancing themselves from some of obvious blunders/disasters (Jailing SF, Impeaching SB etc )

DJ is no Modawansa , he wants to play it little bit smarter than other water buffaloes , that’s all !

Well said, for Dayan the world begins, revolves and ends with him !
Nothing, I repeat nothing he says/does is for the good of the nation, its always about his self-promotion.

You know what I feel after listerning to his speech: It is like shooting the messenger as always used to be -in order to score from MR regime. DJ is now jobless/or not seen in spot light if not for few occassions like the current one.

Just attacking the west, giving and saying lot more the way they have been towards palastenian issue – how can you make people forget about the manner that MR regime anhiliate the tamil civilians in the end of war in nothern srilanka ?

Question is that they the rulers are ready to provide those victimized people with justice; their only wish is to carry out war crimes investigations properly to a manner that entire world communities feel that SRILANKEN govt did it in a fair manner.

Just giving thousands of examples- the manner Palastenians have been attacked by isralis – you cant lernt those powerful countries a lession.
Today s world is interdependent. Without China, no any country continue their economic developments. So, those who interpret it as DJ pointed out – should study all these very carefuly- and considerately.

      • 4
        1

Palastenian problem is very complex like a metastazed cancer. So, it will take many more years them to restore peace in that region.

This is clear to many. Surely to DJ too. Lanken tamil problem is not comparable to those of palastenians. Perhaps, kurds and their problems could somewhat be comparable to that of srilanken tamils.

I still believe that the visit of Cameron to Jaffna was a very good thing. And his speech pleading independent war crime investigations before March 14 is commendable on behalf all lankens that respect lawful manner of life. Today, Rajaapskehs have become a real problem to average srilankens. MANY dont open their voices thinking that they could be assulated or murdered. This is common to many in higher positions. Just because of that, they keep very quiet. They would reveal all their voices soon, because the levels have become to NO GO margin now.

No wonder for passionate Ealamistas Cameron may seem very rightous.

However, deep inside Cameron himself knows what a hypocrite he is.

I repeat, Cameron personally has manipulated and stopped UN resolutions & investigations into War Crimes of Israel in Palestine. Having been lobbied and funded by Israel lobby in the UK.

Then he comes to Jaffna to demand the exact opposite.

Here is what Cameron forgot. Northern Sri Lanka can be visited now by him, largely due to blood, sweat & tears of the average Sri Lankan soldiers.

        Cheers!

              Ben,

Your ample evidences required no response from me as they amount to frivolous rhetorics! Israel is a bane on international conscience because the Jews are milking the Holocaust and the West is still living with that guilt. None of the western powers committed atrocities comparable to the what the MR regime had done. The allegations are that no-fire zones were purposely set up and deliberately fired on and killed thousands of civilians. Blatant summary executions; wide-spread rape and mutilations. Do you have a heart? You are hell bent on helping the regime to brush everything under the carpet. Can you at least try to understand as to why the Tamils of North welcomed Cameron with open arms? Can you ascertain the outpouring emotions that were spontaneously expressed? For those hapless people your flimsy arguments would seem futile attempt sear Cameron. You cannot say that Cameron had no right to take up the Tamil issue because the west overlook the Jews crimes; you cannot say that Britain invaded Iraq and had lost moral authority. This does not give the MR regime to slaughter countless lives with impunity! Accountability is a must for Sri Lanka to move forward; in the absence of accountability, no one will be free in Sri Lanka that includes the Sinhala too!

Tell us who are not hypocrites among those leaders in developed world ? If Mandela was still a head of his state, one could exclude him from the category.
What matters is – Cameron´s plead will definitely open the eyes of many. Our leader should be firm with his promises made to IC and after all to India. His summersaults can bring us nowhere.

Diasphora issue could well be match with Canadians, but for the 0.15 mios living in the UK, I really dont think that politicians there should seek the votes from those tamils. Besides, how many of them are eligible to vote (not every single person among them are citizens/over 18years). So, remarks made by that Nonis appu can no means be the reason Cameron to pay a visit to SL and then to Jaffna.

      Hey guys,
he is a political scientist perhpas, he proclaims this several hundreds thousands… by himself..

But tell me, whether the guy has ever raised the question, that we dont have a RULE OF LAW AND ORDER IN THE COUNTRY … the situation is worsening day by day. Millions to billions have been abused by MR for his approved corruption events.
This Karu Jayasooriya has made it clear to th world today. There is no respect to judiciary in the country today. Yesterday is better than today when it goes with Justice.
So this guy has never written any article based on any crying issues of thenation. Instead, always compare ours with those of others, or attacking directly or indireclty the west… not knowing who we are.. we are just an another poor folk for those westerners.
ACTUALLY, our countries are dependent on west and rich countries by every means to this date.
And I think his remarks made to the lanken TV sender lately was understandable that our rulers should not criticise the west but ask why they criticise as and try to stay in contact iwth them…

but today speech is very like attacking the west… means yesterday something else, to whhat he has to say today… no consistency at all.
This is typical to this self proclaimed political scientist that cries now for the MR regime thinking more about his OWN FUTURE… his wife may be not letting him easy, if he would not find a good post to merrygo round next months on.. that are back throughts of DJ.

DJ is the most dangerous man in lamb clothing. Steve Beko once said the so called liberals are more dangerous than hawkish extremists. There are many UN resolutions against Israel but none on Sri Lanka except watered down ineffective UN HRC resolutions. Illegal occupation of Palestine by Israel or denial of justice to them should not be used to hide the atrocities committed and being committed in Sri Lanka. Most in Sri Lanka and among international community did not know IDPs in north and east whose homes were seized by the military are languishing in tin thatched camps until David Cameron visited them. Also no one knows the mono-ethnic military is deployed all over those provinces and the governors are ex-military personnel. David Cameron was right in highlighting the plight of war affected people in the north and the oppressed journalists specially in the north.

yes i wholeheartedly agree with you , JHU,BBS and endless senas & Balkas are very straight forward , every body knows , that they are down right racists and know how to deal with them , whereas DJ types are the deadliest, pretending to be the champions of the democracy and cashing at the expense of the country.

I would not put in that way – but DJ is more or less like – lost his way somewhere in the middle.
Now not bringing any articles since Chogm circus is over, makes me feel that he is fully disappointed about his own situation. Nobody seems to be taking him serious. As added somewhere else, for him
key issues of the society today under the guidance of RULING thieves are no issues.

DJ main problem is he has blood on both hands- from the days of the first terror by Premadasa (remember Richard Zoysa)

Now for unraveling- the limits of Beijing’s tolerance, s- So it was curious when Qin Gang, a spokesman for the Chinese foreign ministry, advised Sri Lanka, a nation accused of committing war crimes, to “make efforts to protect and promote human rights”.

Saudi next to palestine is a class problem. Like the Holy see living on unmarked land.

Mr. Cameron has extended a hand of friendship on behalf of the British to the Tamil people. It is his right to do so. If that means he is contradicting himself when it comes to Palestine, then perhaps the lesson to learn is that the British value their friendship with the Tamils so much that they are willing to contradict themselves in front of the world, for the sake of that friendship. There will be those who look at such gestures of friendship from the US/UK with cynical eyes. They will claim that the US/UK is only doing this to get a foothold in the island. I think it is true that the US/UK are not going to behave in a way that jeopardizes their national interests. However, the easiest way for them to secure those interests is to do a deal with the GOSL which is desperate right now. They are clearly not doing this and are instead pursuing a more difficult approach. The hand of friendship extended to the Tamil people is genuine – and that’s bad news for the GOSL.

The fact that Mr.Cameron visited Jaffna and personally met the Chief Minister who campaigned on a platform of the Tamil right to self determination, and refused to meet the Governor appointed by Colombo, is de-facto recognition of the Tamil people’s right to self determination. There is no other way to look at it. The GOSL can celebrate “Victory Day” every month if they choose to, but the visit of Mr.Cameron to Jaffna is now arguably a high water mark in the Tamil peoples 65 year struggle for self determination. I think it is higher than the previous high watermark – the ceasefire agreement and peace talks based on the Oslo accord.

It seems the supporters of the GOSL have taken to Cameron bashing because they can’t stand the thought of the Tamil people having friends. Here is a trivia question for them. Of the people in the 2013 Forbes list of the 15 most powerful people in the world, which one has visited Sri Lanka?

That’s it, a high diplomatic posting. Don’t forget he was the man masterminding the support and praise for Sri Lanka in the first UN HRC resolution in May 2009 for enforced starvation of 456,000 men, women, children and babies in the ever shrinking narrow strip of Mullivaikkal (by insisting on just 70,000) and using heavy weaponry to massacre them. That was the time the traumatised people were separated into groups of husbands and wives and were detained behind barbed wires for more than an year. Young women taken away from mothers and were raped and killed and men were tortured and shot at point blank. 1,000 young men and women were murdered within a month without any mercy and the UN HRC praised the Sri Lankan government. Now he wants justice to Palestinians or at least shedding crocodile tears.

A pathetic liar with a twisted tongue, that is what Dayan is, more so after hearing this speech. He discusses about the convenient truth, a distorted truth that won him accolades when he tabled that resolution in the UNHRC in 2009 and has since been gutted by the horrific and insurmountable evidence that had since surfaced. For someone who considers, and had spoken of, the lost lives of civilians as collateral damage, not to mention of the large numbers, is an utter shame to be given a platform to talk about humanitarian issues. What more, the disgrace that he embeds on such platforms and is a colossal degradation of the concept of humanity this joker preaches.

He doesn’t talk of bombing hospitals, civilians shelled in no-fire zones designated by an equally lying state, summarily driving bullets into those who had surrendered and above all raping and murdering women by a regime and his support for that regime which is unmistakable in its character, that of a Sinhala chauvinist and devoid of that pain and proves that Prabhakaran was a person of higher moral and stature that he didn’t send his men to rape Dayan’s mother, wife or sister. Dayan, is I had not seen a chameleon for a long time, perhaps it is because my vision had been blurred by your presence and personification of that chameleon. You need not have to worry about the blood of those civilians as that seemed to have been elusive in your vision and mission but it is my hope that one day you would feel the pain of those women, raped and murdered mercilessly when it becomes part of your personal tragedy. It is with anguish I write this but unlike you I would feel sorry for you if such a tragedy strikes someone close to you.

  • 3

    Hey Dayan,

Remember what you said after Weliveraya, and what Governments’ role in that implied about the likely attrocities in the North – what may have happened in the past and what may be happenning even now? Do you remember your questions? I will be happy to reiterate to remind you of the details if you like. That is all what Cameron wants to have checked out.

You remember Al Jazeera was also wondering and in response MR said you were prostituting for an NGO. Now, can you explain your repeated Somersaults – fist supporting the regime in “no-war crimes were committed” assertion, then accusing the regime after Weliverya and also pompously asserting accountability is a moral imperative, and now back again prostituting for the regime to help bury indefensible war crime charges?

Is this what all the education in the best of civilized world and institutions meant to you – an avenue for blood money? While you call every one else a hypocrit, where exactly do you think you stand on the hypocrisy index?!

Fathima: Oh my God, did you mention 54 Muslim countries and what a shame, have to turn to the pathetic Dayan Jayatilake to solve Palestine’s problem. So, after, you personally mattered nothing to solve the problem faced by the Palestinians? Just big and empty talk eh?

fat-shit-ma, this shows how brilliant you are dumb f%^&. Not all Palestinians are Muslims. There is a significant minority who are Christians. Go back to school.

Dayan may be one of the suitable candidates to represent srilanka in the US. I like his arguments but here on the current speech he goes that far to defend RAJAPAKSHES.. covering that they could be the good rulers to the country.
I wish DJ to be elected as the ambassador to the US than appointing MR´s cousins (former tea tasters – PERHAPs ones those who have got through ALevels to be eligible to do such jobs)

      DJ @;
one should be loyal to a regime if he or she s been seeking to work for them – as a diplomat or the like – but it is pathetic the manner you ve been trying to beg it…
was it at all need you to hold this kind of anti US, and Uk speech in this manner ? We are all clear – incl. you that the end phase of the war was not CLEAN…. it was almost similar in destroying all housing structures of the lively hood of lankens for elimination of dengue feveR: But there, those Phis and others did not destroy them in that manner, instead, they only destroyed those mosqitoes and their breeding places very cautiously.
But in the war end of srilanka, how your rulers handled it with the approval of us/india was very brutal. Perhaps, those videos that brought about brutal raw killings and rapes may be the truth. You yourself accepted in a program to Indian TV channel lately, that lanken soldiers could well have perpetrated all these. But the problem is the proofs as it was in a war.
So how can you then cover up all these, only bringing couters to prove that those western folks are hypocrites ?

Thank you Dr.Dayan for talking behalf of Oppressed and suppressed people.

When the sole super power got ready to bomb Assad in Syria, it was the British Parliament who opposed it and defeated it in their Parliament vote.

Every Citizen’s right in this world must be addressed, safeguarded and protected. Their voices and grievances must be addressed, must be herd and must be safeguarded and necessary solutions should be found.

Both India and West have a large number of Sri Lankan war Refugees languishing in their countries. Their grievances and rights must be addressed so they could re-unite with their families without inteference.

Sri Lanka’s Communal trouble began soon after we got Independence and it is still continuing. There should be a permanent solution for this ethnic problem.

Unless we resolve this Tamil minority problem in a balanced manner, we may have to face grave International interferences in the near future.

Sri Lanka is still a Democratic country and is part of the International community. We have to abide by both Local and International Law. It is not under a Dictator’s rule like North Korea.

All should unite to Bring Justice, Peace, harmony and democracy to Sri Lanka and chase out any Dictators if they see any of them.

Dayan is helping MR resolving the Tamil problem. They have plans to make the Tamils a minority group throughout the country. Once this is achieved, the Tamils will be completely subjugated and the Tamil problem is solved!

or , other way round , MR’s short sighted vision may lead to division of the country , please expect more drama from TN politicians as the Indian election is closing ,no doubt Karunanidi will promise nothing short of Elam for SL Tamils.

Dayan, do not disgrace your father. He was respected by many. He lived in a time where Sri Lankans felt they had a moral standard and were willing to lend a hand to the oppressed in the world.

You my friend live in another time. The o pressed are here at home. All round you. And your litte brain is ever available for hire. Funny to see you squealing about Morals.

You jumped into the big baot – got thrown out of it, realized that there is no other boat in sight and shamelessly jumped back in. Is it not obvious to you that every nation is happy to piss on Sri Lanka – it means nothing to no one. A sore in the Indian Ocean and a source of unwanted immigration. That is the only reason that Abbot and the rest want to be “Mates”. Get real.

Time for you to crank up your links with Burma, Cuba, and the other dictatorial holes of. It will be of use to your pay masters, but may be not as the world sees them in that vile company – aided by your brilliant little mind.

We are waiting to see when you will be jumping out.

Hey Dayan, why don’t you start an investigation into the crimes against the poor Palestinians by the State of Israel? You are simply trying to justify the atrocities committed against the Tamils in Sri Lanka by diverting the international attention over to the Palestinian territory. I only wish, the same government one day gets to your family and give them the same treatment they gave the innocent Tamils.

Tamil from the north …………… Remember Dayan was a minister in the NE provincial council while EPRLF and IPKF were committing war crimes. … Could you take Dayan to ICC not just for what IPKF and EPRLF did or didn’t do but causing mental cruelty by writing and speaking utter rubbish.

        Hi Native,
why is Dayan called ” Dayan Jayatilaka” if his father was one Silva ?

Listening to the video, I feel, he could better change his name onto ONE ANOTHER silva who would stand by Rajapakshe Regime for any cover up mission.

Is the guy (DJ) related to

          a) Duminda Silva
          b) Mervin Silva (President´s step brother, former Kelaniya organizer, alleged murderer of Kelaniya MP killing – the main joker of current cabinet of MR)
          c) Nimal siripala de Silva ( who is always supportive to do any unconstiutional acts if he is assigned to do so by president)

          d) All other silva s in the lanken current day politics and thuggish projects adminstered by incumbent president

The problem I see in him (Dayan Jayathilaka or Silva) he seems to be not careful when making public statements. Maluwa nasinne kata nisaya is common to everyone. This Dr. Narendran had reminded in his comments. I appreciated it a lot. Mandela´s lesisons can bring all of us when achieving peace inthe country.

Palatenian issue is very sensitive one. Many on the west ask it why it get extended even if the US, UK and all other rich nations eventually pay their closer attention. So, DJ thought if he could compare ours with that of Palastenians in his current speech, he was invited for – could be a greater chance him to score bonus – more shoutings at the messengers – perhahps beyond to the manner of that PULLIGONHARAKA (Wimal buruwanse, pitt bull)in the parliament is appointed to do, DJ thought would surely achieve his final goals, which is nothing else than his FUTURE posts in diplomatic arena representing the country. No heart feelings or fact and figures are given the priority but his own agenda to comfort his own family.
I earlier thought this man is an asset to the country, but now looking at the manner his vehicle is heading, I feel, we cant trust any SINHALA diplomats or politicians today. I still think Ranil owns much higher qualities than any other senior politicians left in the country… anywa,y his problems are crisis within the party apart from the fact the current rule is clearly seen not respecting democratic values.

One of the reasons could WELL be that brutal leader had hidden agendas with him asking him to do the job of Wimal buruwa – at least to paint some kind of positive picture to the world.
See the audience is filled with some arabs – I really dont think that foregin journalists had been there either. I wish if the west could read at least this CT article and responses made by the few readers. More harm the govt agents continue to do towards THE WEST, harder it will be for MR regime to stay in power. When issues arise, Russians, indians and Chinese would have to take the side of super powers – naivity of lankens will end up with the country being isolated to the world soon. Tihs the so called doctor shoudl have to go through his HARD head.

Mr. David Cameron was provided with an opportunity to say what he said by the government by being so very much indifference to the critical issues raised by the international community. Our government voluntarily promised to do many things within certain time limits. However all those promises were broken and half backed excuses were given inviting unpleasent resolutions! So who ought to be the culprit? David Cameron or our own big wigs? You can blast the other side for the crimes they have cimmitted in the past. However, please remember no two wrongs could make one ‘RIGHT! We claim our selves as one of the most civilized cointries in the world with a 2500 years of history and a culture etc! We also call ourselves a primere buddhist country in the world and so on! However when we really look at ourselves are we that much civilized and cultured to be an example to the rest of the world?
Unfortunately the country has become one of the most currupted countries in the world with all sorts of issues like ethnic problems, religeous issues, bribary, nepotism, authoritarian, law lessness, dishonest, culture of inpunity, dusregard to the environment and even sacking the CJ after a completely digusting ‘Kangaroo Court’ inquery etc!!

So what you expect from the outside world? Certainly not flower bouquets! We got to perform better as a country in terms of decency, honesty, respect for fellow human beings and transperent, accounting and responsible government. We got to be a model for other nations to inspare as we are a premere buddhist country! That will not happen only through so called big infrastructure development, being noicy and pointing fingers at others!

Once again the erudite has let out the steam at full strength….
instead of requesting the British Prime David Cameron to visit Palestines in West Bank and Gaza which is thousands miles away from Britain…..he must request President Rajapaksha to visit the People in the North which is 250 miles away from Colombo on a regular basis…..Sri Lanka is a very funny Country with very funny people….one section pay homage to Che Guavera…another Sect to Hugo Chavez…another sect Fidel Castro….another sect Mao Zae Dong….latest is Ho chi min by the the President….damn hypocrites…!!! They cannot solve problems of Sri Lanka…..

    Dr. DJ,

No matter how well you embellish you delivery with fancy words, you cannot hide your blatant hypocrisy. Aren’t the Tamils oppressed? Aren’t the Tamil’s lands being forcibly taken? Aren’t the Tamil women being raped and sexually harassed? You are so angry that David Cameron visited Jaffna and challenged MR to investigate the war crimes. Your anger is demonstrably manifested in your speech! You dear not deliver such a speech in favour of lack of progress on the LLRC Recommendations! You know very well that the MR regime is very actively engaged in changing the northern demography; you chose to overlook that. You try your best to justify Sri Lanka in the international forums. Do you have a backbone to stand up and say that in Sri Lanka, the power is concentrated in one family? MP Sumanthiran is far more of a man than you are!

You have used the Palestinian issue to promote the Sri Lankan hegemony that oppresses the minorities in Sri Lanka. It would have been better if you have praised David Cameron for his stand on Human Rights in Sri Lanka and asked him to extend that goodwill to the Palestinians. This is what a true Socialist would do; you are not a true Socialist are you?

Unfortunately, DJ seems to have lost his credibility among his supporters to this date. Nowadays, people of the country (not the stupid general public but the others one could count as sane) dont respect the guy as had been in the past. He has become a joker, changing his views time to time.

I have spoken to some ex-LTTE men and they all have absolute admiration for Hector Denzil Kobbekaduwa. They (LTTE) all said he was a very well respected soldier who was an officer and a gentleman. Premadasa had a bomb planted and killed this great war hero of the SL army and blamed it on the LTTE. Prabaharan was a chameleon who happily accepted the assassination as he was the mastermind behind the killing. What I am trying to say here is, it is a disgrace to Kobbekaduwa that this fool Dayan was allowed to speak in a hall which is named after him.

He is an insult to anyone with a little grey
matter between their ears. When the war was
going on, DJ bum sucked or brown nosed the
government a great deal. The sole objective
was to win a DPL appointment. Now he is out
of a job. He cannot be an Ambassador and
Foreign Correspondent at the same time. The
first to boost his ego and the second to
promote himself with articles in the local
press. How long does it take for people to
realize that this fellow is intellectually
dishonest. His only objective is self
    promotion.

One cant rely on him. SO how can anyone trust him on any diplomatic posts ?
I would not recommend him to anyone. I thought his articles bring valid points, but most of the time, they remain inconsistent. Today, he is again become lapdog to MR rule although he was totoally different with the views 3 months ago. Lack of Law and order issues no issues for him.

    • 0
      0

but the behaviours of some seem changing when such grey matter wanders to somewhere else :)
That could be the reason him to fall down to the levels of MEDIA minister Mervin De Silva. Though the people in this country could easily mix it up with his late father -the journalist- Mervin Silva.

Dear Dayan, Out of the hundred odd comments you will find to your favor the comments of Fathima Fukushima – who has taken upon herself the burden of bringing to the attestation of the world – the lower mental Depths of Sinhalese Nationalism.

Sad, because unlike her you are no racist but you have acquired her loving concern. It is only recently, you started talking bout the views of the “Vast Majority”. You have become a “Patriot” amongst those who do not distinguish between Patriotism and racism. You know this more than any other. Perhaps this one too :

“Patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel” – Samuel Johnson

……………..”We claim our selves as one of the most civilized cointries in the world with a 2500 years of history and a culture etc! We also call ourselves a primere buddhist country in the world and so on! “……………………………

will give a simple example how civilized we srilankan men are ,

Just ask any girl/women to stand in an open bus halt for a bus to arrive after 6 pm , see how many undesirable characters would reach her to offer a free ride or volunteering themselves to assist her , it will never stop there , real night mare would start after she got in to the bus , it’s absolutely disgusting and embarrassing to see how low we men go to degrade ourselves for a quick stimulation !!!!!!
