Media Minister’s Notorious Drunken Son Tried To Open Aircraft Cabin Door At 35,000ft

A drunken Sri Lankan cricketer caused panic on a packed British Airways passenger flight when he tried to open the cabin door at 35,000ft, the The Telegraph UK reported. The Drunken cricketer is non other than Sri Lanka’s Minister of Media and Information Keheliya Rambukwella‘s notorious son Ramith Rambukwella, a source within the Sri Lankan cricket team told Colombo Telegraph.

Witness Charlene Francis, 26, from Willesden in London quoted by the Daily Mail said she was just a few feet away from the unfolding drama with her one year-old daughter ‘TJ’, her mother Linda and sleeping brother Kevin, when the incident happened in economy class about six hours into an eight hour flight from St Lucia to London’s Gatwick Airport.

‘The BA flight attendants came running down the aisle and tried to calm him down. He seemed quite disoriented. At one stage he was leaning against my daughters cot.’ She heard the man tell cabin crew that he had been looking for the toilet – an account confirmed by British Airways. Mrs Francis said: ‘It was very scary. He looked very dazed or drunk. He was very tall and wearing black and red ‘Dre’ headphones.

British Airways said: ‘During the flight a man got up and tried to go to the toilet. ‘But instead of going to the toilet he tried to open the aircraft door in mid-flight. ‘The event was linked to “an element of alcohol”. He explained his mistake and cabin crew accepted it in good faith. Cabin crew reassured customers who witnessed the event.’

According to the Team Manager, Jayantha Senevirathna, this fellow mistakenly went to the cabin door because of the dim lights!! Give us a break…I cannot believe Jayantha giving these excuses, may be to save his job. I wonder what this guys cricketing contribution during this tour to celebrate by trying to sky jumping:-)

“Jumping” runs in the family. Father jumped from 35 ft hotel balcony, and the son wants to out do the father and tried to jump from 35,000 ft. It must be a gene defect! Oh by the way, forgot about father jumping from one party to another.

What a shameful government and its members! The escapades, mismanagement and corruption never cease. The President seems to lack control of the whole situation. But the glorified facade goes on for the foolish audience of Sri Lankans.

The British government should take this guy to court, for endangering the life of many and he should be PNGd from the UK.

His idiotic farther has said in DM that the doors were only a few feet apart so that his son could not tell the difference. In the same statement he has said that his son is not a novice to air travel and has travelled to many countries and knows how to travel. How can this fool contradict himself? If his son has travelled so extensively then the bloody idiot should be able to tell the difference between the cabin door and the toilet door. Did he see people queuing up in front of the cabin door to go to the toilet? This whole family should be shot just for being so stupid and then displaying it to the whole world.

This is an another good example to see how those politicians educate their offsprings. Decades ago, almost every politicians son or daughter was seen exemplary. Today, it has become that low level. Father of the abusive young man says that his son could be a sleepwalker. How come he as the father does not know that the boy had the problem before. Is that the way such promis care of their children. If a person is a sleep walker, parents should have noticed it long before. This kind of problems could not arise all of sudden. Anyway, people are used to listen to silly answer of Keheliya, but this time, he has made themselves a joke for the entire world. Ane ape rate wena jathi ? :(

Aircraft doors on pressurized aircraft –basically all airline aircraft – are designed to be fail-safe and impossible to open once the wheels leave the ground.

Within seconds of an aircraft lifting off, the cabin begins to pressurize – which means the pressure inside the cabin is much greater than the pressure outside. Opening a pressurized cabin door is impossible because of the fail-safe design of the door. Aircraft doors are larger than their openings. To open the door, it has to be moved in and turned slightly before it can be pushed out and opened. A human being – even a large, strong one or even several of them – would not be able to exert enough force on the door handle to overcome the cabin pressurization and open the door.

Please put that as a nice big notice for all passengers to see so that they don’t suffer from post traumatic stress disorder after seeing someone trying to force open the door.

The airline may save millions of dollars in compensation claims.

Reminds me of the village idiot who was caught climbing a coconut tree to steal the nuts. When questioned, he sheepishly said that he was only looking for grass up there. This is what happens when an ordinary village Abeykoon suddenly becomes the descendant of an aristocratic Kandyan Chief.

This man.. Kehelmal is beyond all bearing. Once I happened to see how he behaves in serious liability issues as media man for the current bunch, he ridicules whatever he expresses mostly about those moronic sons related issues, for example lately the bulldog son of Mervin the most disgusted was caught being assualted to that army officer incident, there, Kehelmal did not take the issue serious. Now he is in his turns to do the same about his son. Father like son is valid for all these idiots. These crumbs will only ruin the country not taking anything to hearts.

Now we see the effect of Media Ethics that govt is harping on – see the Good Daily News didn’t publish a word about this unwanted private matter of mistaking the toilet door for some other door. And we see what a haho is made by the other private media ( not loyal to the regime)

Why doesnt the public listen and abide by guidelines laid down by our patriotic govt? life would be so smooth and easy going then

With low levels IQs they dont know even how to get on anywhere. That is it. If the boys have travelled to many countries, he should show it by their deeds. This experience shows they still behave as if a firt time passenger on a plane. Anyway, father will take this not that serious, his behaviours in press brief regardless of any issues – have never been serious.. Father should learn first to be able to teach his children what is right and what wrong.
