American Diplomats Paid The Price With Their Lives

American diplomats paid the price with their lives For Israeli Jewish film producer’s  crime

By Latheef Farook

Latheef Farook

The United States Ambassador in Libya J Christopher Stevens, together with three other US citizens, all employees of US consulate in the Libyan city Benghazi, had paid the price for a crime committed by an American- Israeli Jewish film maker Sam Bacile.  Stevens, a career diplomat who assumed office as U.S. ambassador to Libya last May had previously worked   in Libya including Benghazi during last year’s uprising.

Christopher Stevens was killed following California based Sam Bacile’s blasphemous film called “Innocence of Muslims” insulting the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in the most despicable manner. Inflaming the situation Bacile who described this as a political movie to help Israel, also boasted that he wanted exactly the type of backlash to further demonize Islam.

In the summer of 2011 Bacile, together with an American based Egyptian Coptic Christian, wrote, directed and produced this two hour film involving 59 actors and about 45 people behind the camera at a cost of five million dollars, financed by more than 100 Jewish donors. It appears most actors and others involved were not aware of the theme of the film.

Muslims worldwide love their final Prophet, Muhammad (PBUH), more than their lives in the same way they love earlier Prophets such as Jesus, Moses, Ibrahim and all others. Thus ridiculing other religions and hurting the feelings of their followers have never been part of Islamic culture throughout its more than fourteen century history.

On the other hand calculated provocations of Muslim are not something new. For example a Danish newspaper’s publication of 12 caricatures of the prophet Muhammad in 2005 triggered riots in many Muslim countries. The journalist behind the cartoons was a Ukrainian Jew, operating under the name of “Fleming Rose” with close working relations with the Israel’s far right forces.

In another incident “Van Gogh, a Dutch film-maker, was killed in 2004 after making a film     insulting Islam. Columnists James Petras and Robin Eastman pointed out that ‘the center piece of the   explosive confrontation between the Muslim world and the US and Western European regimes   are rooted in Israeli efforts to polarize the world in its favor.

It was under such circumstance comes  this film depicting Prophet Muhammad as a fraud, womanizer and madman in an overtly ridiculing way, showing him having sex, calling for massacres and questioning his role as the messenger of God’s words .

As expected the film provoked wild protest first in Libya followed by Egypt, Tunisia, Yemen, Beirut, Baghdad, Tehran, Bangladesh, Indian state of Kashmir and  numerous cities in south East  following Friday prayers.

Egypt’s Grand Mufti Ali said the offence “affects millions of Muslims around the world” and that the making of such a film could not be justified on the basis of freedom of expression.” The attack on religious sanctities does not fall under this freedom”.

Egypt’s president Muhammad Morsi who supported peaceful protest and not attacks on embassies condemned the film stating that “all of us Egyptians reject any form of attack or insult to the Prophet”.

When Sam Bacile claimed   that his film was to provoke the Muslims worldwide he was very well aware that the anger would be directed at America and not against Israel. Perhaps Sam Bacile proved one of America’s founding father Benjamin Franklin’s predictions on the danger the Jews could pose to America.

Benjamin Franklin’s warning to the Constitutional Convention in 1789 concerning Jews has been called a marvel of prophecy which was recorded by Charles Pinckney of Charleston, South Carolina, and the original notes of Mr. Pinckney are said to be held at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia.

Benjamin said” “I fully agree with General Washington, that we must protect this young nation from an insidious influence and penetration. That menace, gentlemen, is the Jews. In whatever country Jews have settled in any great number, they have lowered its moral tone; depreciated its commercial integrity; have segregated themselves and have not been assimilated; have sneered at and tried to undermine the Christian religion upon which that nation was founded by objecting to its restrictions; have built up a state within a state; and when opposed have tried to strangle that country to death financially, as in the case of Spain and Portugal”.

For more than seventeen hundred years they have lamented their sorrowful fate — namely, that they have been driven out of their mother land; but, gentlemen, if the civilized world today should give them back Palestine and their property, they would immediately find pressing reason for not returning there. Why? Because they are vampires and vampires cannot live on other vampires –they cannot live among themselves. They must live among Christians and others who do not belong to their race

He  predicted that ” If they are not excluded from the United States by the Constitution., within less than a hundred years they will stream into this country in such numbers that they will rule and destroy us, and change our form of government for which Americans have shed their blood and sacrificed life , property, and personal freedom. If the Jews are not excluded, within 200 years our children will be working in the fields to feed the Jews, while they remain in the Counting House rubbing their hands.

“I warn you gentlemen, if you do not exclude the Jew forever, your children and your children’s children will curse you in your grave. “Their ideas are not those of Americans. The leopard cannot change his spots. The Jews are a danger to this land, and if they are allowed to enter, they will imperil its institutions. They should be excluded from the Constitution!” said Benjamin Franklin.

Despite this call Jewish migration was allowed and their influence enhanced in almost every possible field. By mid last century they established themselves well that it was under Jewish pressure President Harry Truman blackmailed developing countries to vote for partitioning Palestine to create the state of Israel for Jews brought from all over in the Palestinian lands.

On Sept. 22, 1947, Loy Henderson, director of the State Department’s Office of Near Eastern and African Affairs, strongly warned Secretary of State George C. Marshall that partition of Palestine into Arab and Jewish states was not workable and would lead to untold troubles in the future. Henderson   and his memorandum stands as one of the most perceptive analyses of the perils that partition would bring. Henderson informed Marshall that his views were shared by “nearly every member of the Foreign Service or of the department who has worked to any appreciable extent on Near Eastern problems.”

On Nov. 24, he wrote that “I feel it again to be my duty to point out that it seems to me and all the members of my Office acquainted with the Middle East that the policy which we are following in New York at the present time is contrary to the interests of the United States and will eventually involve us in international difficulties of so grave a character that the reaction throughout the world, as well as in this country, will be very strong.”

In the subsequent years these predictions proved prophetic when the American administrations began to be controlled by pro-Israeli elements before the Jewish lobbies became the administration itself.

As predicted by Benjamin Franklin, Jews make and unmake politicians and governments and rule America today. Jewish influence on American politics has been such that former Jewish terrorist turned Nobel laureate Prime Minister of Israel, Menachem Begin said in 1982  that “ The Road to White House is Through Tel Aviv.”

Jewish lobbies and Jewish controlled corporate conglomerates rule US with their control over almost every aspect of life from politics, economy, and media to almost everything.  The media was used by Jewish lobbies to shape the minds of Americans  to suit Jewish agendas and turn the Americans into a gullible lot.

Even presidential candidates, bet it republican or democrat, have been carefully screened and selected by Jewish lobbies to suit their agendas. For example, according to reports,   it was a Chicago based Jewish billionaire selected President Barack Obama who, during presidential elections, visited Israel and while in Jerusalem, wearing Jewish skull cap, declared that Jerusalem is the undivided capital of Israel knowing very well that Jerusalem was captured by Israel during its war of aggression in June 1967.

On being elected  President Obama’s first appointment was  Rahm Israel Emanuel, son of a  known Jewish Irgun terrorist, as  White House Chief of Staff  .Since then Obama time and again stated that “ no ally is more important  than the state of Israel and  we don’t compromise when it comes to Israel’s security.” In doing so he knows very well the damage he was causing to America among Muslims worldwide.

America’s blind support to Israel won intense hatred among Muslims worldwide. Since then it was with American administrations’ overall support that Israel has committed the worst crimes and atrocities against Palestinians. It was with American tax payers’   money thousands of Jewish only housing colonies being built in occupied Palestinians lands.

Throughout the world, especially the Muslim world, America and Israel remains the two most hated countries in the world. Muslims worldwide, not their rulers protected by America, have been seething with anger at America.

As we all know, since the collapse of former Soviet Union in 1989, the US substituted the Red Communists with Islam and Muslims as their new “public enemy number one” and began a very well-orchestrated campaign for global domination to plunder. The 9/11 tragedy   was exploited to unleash this ferocious global campaign under the guise of fighting war on terrorism.

In this global campaign forces which rule the world- Zionist Jews, Christian Zionists, Evangelical Christians, Born Again Christians, RSS and its affiliate Hindu extremists, communists, so called secular Muslim dictators and all others- remain hand in glove.

The result is the ever increasing provocations causing ill-feeling between the Islamic world and the Christendom. Sam Bacile’s film is the latest in this series of calculated move to provoke Muslims worldwide.

In January this year American soldiers urinating on the dead bodies of Afghan civilians sparked worldwide outrage. US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton regretted. Just before that there were footages of American soldiers collecting body parts of Afghan civilians they killed as souvenirs. These are some of the atrocities committed by American and NATO soldiers in Afghanistan and other Muslim countries – Iraq, Libya and many more.

The question is what prevents the   European governments which imposed a strict blanket ban on any criticism of the holocaust, despite its so called freedom of the press, from imposing similar restrictions on reports and films insulting Islam and inciting hatred.

On the other hand it is sad that Muslims are easily provoked to carry out totally irrational acts that do not result in any good. It is said, and indeed it is true, that this film would have remained obscure if not for these riots in Benghazi and Cairo that have given the publicity that the miscreant was aiming at.”

Highlighting the present state of affairs former Malaysian Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamed said, NEVER in the 1,400-year history of the religion has Islam and its followers been so humiliated, denigrated and oppressed as they are today. The progressive religion that had propelled Muslims to become a major civilizational force with an empire spanning from Spain to China, is but a caricature of its former self. As Muslims we are all angry that our religion, the religion of peace, is being portrayed as a religion that promotes violence. But there seems to be little that we can do”.

Under the circumstance these provocations are bound to continue from time to time.

As a non Muslim, I too found that the producers of this vile film has trouble making in mind when producing a less than amateurish movie, of disgusting content. However Mr Latheef Farook, you deliberately leave out heinous acts some misguided Muslims have directed to other religions, for one the destroying of centuries old Bamuyan Buddha statues. You state the muslims hate americans becuase they support the jews, So why DID these Muslims attack a religion like Buddhism, after all what did Buddhist do to them? We didn’t see you nor any other Muslim shed a tear, now did you?

Remember that old adage….. If you stay silent when they come for others, by the time they come for you there will be no other to cry for you.

I am a Christian and I firmly believe that we ALL need t be tolerent of other religions and we all have the right to practice our own beliefs without trampling on the beliefs of others. May I,remind you that while many mosques are being built in the western countries, there is no chance of building any other regious places of,worship in Muslim countries.

    Always a double,standard. Eh?

I know you are a Sinhala Buddhist pretending as a Christian. The attack on Bamiyan Buddhist stautes were totally unIslamic and condemned by the entire Muslim world. No Muslim anywhere in the world approved this vandalism.

Mohomad, you say the muslim world was against that. Yet, no anymuslim or muslim country talked against that at that time.

the reason is Islam is against Idols.

On the other hand, afghan muslim changed their country’s history. Because every one knows that Buddhism is far older than the ISlam.

That same thing was carried out in Maldives recently. They disfigured and destroyed some buddhist statues inside their museum.

Muslims don’t want to understand that they are group who are very intolerant of other religions. They don’t like criticism.

Generally the Talibans are not accepted as representing all the Muslims in Afghanistan or in any part of the world. In Afghanistan there was also a ‘US manipulated’ Taliban Group and it is said that this group was responsible for the attack on the Bamiyan Buddhist statues so that world opinion will go against all Talibans. Several Muslim countries that are not pro-West and international Muslim organisations condemned the attack.

Sorry, I am a Christian. I absolutely deplore anyone who steps on another’s right to believe. Same as I speak on behalf of Buddhist people whose history was violated by some, and I say some Muslims, I also speak on behalf of Muslims whose beliefs have been violated by these vile film makers whoever they are. If we all practice religious tolerance this world will certainly be a better place. Too many destructive murderous deeds are carried out by misguided rabble all in the name of the lord Buddha, Prophet Mohamed or JesusChist who would all deplore these murderous deeds carried out in thir name. What did that Ambassaor have to do with it?

To get back to the Bamiyan statues, And I quote from Mr Farooks article “rediculing other religions and hurting the feelings of followers has not been part of Islamic culture for 14 centuries” means he has ignored the destruction of these very statues.

I am glad you have not disagreed with my comment re building mosques in th western world and the clear inability to build churches in the Muslim countries. It is what it is. Let us all agree to live peacefully after all we are all here on earth temporarily.

      Concerned,
Could I invite you to list the names of muslim countries that don’t allow churches or building churches, along with a list of all muslim
countries in the world? We can then come to a fair judgement of this boring criticism of religious intolerance of muslim countries not allowing other religions to practice in their lands. As for the case of
Bamiyan statues, while I want to be part of those who condemn such acts,I like to take you to see what happened to Islamic heritage sites
in the heart of Islam under the very nose of the custodian of Mecca.
300 historic sites linked to Muhammad, his family and his companions who were also his successors, were made to disappear in well under 50 yrs of time. What’s shocking is,these sites include the mosque built by
Muhammad’s daughter Fathima, other mosques founded by Muhammad’s father-in law Abu Bakr(first successor and father of Aisha),second ruler Umar,
the house of Khadija, the house of Ali-Ouraid the grand son of the
prophet and many others. The more shocking and interesting part is,what’s built in the site where Abu Bakr’s house was standing. It’s
a Hilton hotel.I don’t think I should add anything more to this to describe the whole drama of this ever growing false Islamophobia and
crusade phobia.Just misleading the gullibles. All innocent poor folks
taken on a ride by joy riders.

As usual Lathee Farook treads on the path of moderation. But I am afraid he has a weak brief. Not many in the readership will agree with his claim “ridiculing other religions and hurting the feelings of their followers have never been part of Islamic culture throughout its more than fourteen century history” In addition to the vast catalogue of violence against other religions amongst them, intolerance and savagery in the Arab and Islamic lands is more the rule than the exception even today. It was horrific to see on TV last week an Imam in Pakistan had “fixed” a poor little Muslim girl for blasphemy – against the Quran. She was in the process of being executed. Fortunately, he was found to have torn away pages to trap the girl. In the same District Islamic fundamentalists warned Christians of the area they will be burned alive in their houses – unless they leave their homes and villages. In most Muslim countries in recent years all Christians and tnose of other faiths have been forced to leave This savage act cannot do Islam much good, surely.

According to investigations by CNN, the offensive, badly-acted film that has so enraged Moslems around the world was NOT made by an Israeli-American at all. Nor was it, apparently, financed by Jews, as was initially claimed by the supposed producer, who called himself “Sam Bacile” in the initial radio interview and claimed to be a Jewish American.

Rather, “Sam Bacile” appears to be one of several aliases used by an Egyptian-American Coptic Christian by the name of Nakoula Basseley Nakoula. The intent of this film (by “Christian” bigots rather than Jewish ones) seems to have been to enrage Moslems, and provoke them to violence…unfortunately this seems to have happened. The protests and anger against this deplorable film, which would have otherwise faded into obscurity (where it belonged) has also resulted in many more people watching it, rather than would have been the case if it was ignored.

      Dr.Romesh,
This film was clearly aimed at provoking world muslim hatred towards their chosen “enemy”.While what happened in Libya should not have happened, what happened in the American film industry also should not have happened. What do you want to call hurting the feelings of other people intently? This is happening at a time American election is round
the corner and Arab countries are experiencing what’s called Arab spring. And also America’s war on terror not over yet. So,what’s the message?Asking for more trouble or dousing the existing one? There are
more questions than answers of this deliberate act of provocation. But
clearly ignoring would not have closed the chapter and instead could
      have intimidated all religions.

I kindly request readers to judge a religion (or philosophy ) not by the practices of its misguided adherents but by its tenets. It is only human to feel hurt and annoyed at the actions of fanatics and radicals who hijack their religions and portray it giving it an unwholesome flavor. These are the worst of mankind. Let me quote the Qur’an . “there is no compulsion in religion” Surah 2 Verse 256. “And do not insult those whom they ( disbelievers) worship besides Allaah” S 6 V 108. I believe there are vast areas in common in the great religions and we should try to concentrate on this and foster unity instead of gloating over the actions of these evil miscreants.

Senguttuvan in the above quotes of the Quran, the fundamental principles are enunciated – NO COMPULSION AND NO INSULTS TO OTHER DEITIES period. If these are the fundamentals then those who espouse another cause cannot be fundamentalists! They are called FANATICS, RADICALS or call them whatever you wish but not FUNDAMENTALIST NOR ISLAAMISTS!

I did not want to destroy the Bamiyan Buddha. In fact, some foreigners came to me and said they would like to conduct the repair work of the Bamiyan Buddha that had been slightly damaged due to rains. This shocked me. I thought, these callous people have no regard for thousands of living human beings — the Afghans who are dying of hunger, but they are so concerned about non-living objects like the Buddha. This was extremely deplorable. That is why I ordered its destruction. Had they come for humanitarian work, I would have never ordered the Buddha’s destruction. – Mullah Mohammed Omar

      0

AYMAN, this Mullah Mohammed Omar is a prototype of all the Muslims signifying a very limited biased compartmentalized narrow and ignorant mental state of understanding. They appear to be encroachers of the land they inhabit because if their particular civilization culture and belief had existed there from the ancient times these Buddha statues would not have been built at all because it is against their tradition and belief. That the statues are those of Buddha means in ancient times Buddhist people have lived on this land. When one beholds texts from their Holy book, one gets the feeling Islam is a religion far from truth, irrational and illogical in nature and encourages one to come to the conclusion that it is tantamount to superstition. Here a fundamental premise must be emphasized that it is perfectly correct for someone to criticize a religion or a belief if it can be reasonably, unbiasedly, objectively and without any prejudice can be proved to be superstitious or irreligious. I say Islam is a mass hysteria blindly and unfoundedly believed by ignorant masses. When a nation blindly believes in something whichever name you give it, that belief shuts their minds and displaces them from reason and rationality. The greater the belief and faith and deification of the mythical religious concept more aggressive and violent shall the believers become resulting in the behaviors we now witness. Religion is not a belief or faith or hope or a mentally hysterically projected concept of a God or some other concept. Religion has nothing to do with holy beliefs, holy books, holy someones who have existed eons ago or yesterday or today, religion is not one belief against the other or substituting one belief for the other, it does not reside in the temple, mosque, church or the secluded monastery; rather it has everything to do with reality, truth, human beings, their joy, beauty, love, hate, suffering, relationship and their existence on this earth; religion is the study and search into one’s own behaviour, attitudes, and the whole mental and physical existence that we live, in its core is the mission into visit the deep recesses of our minds and hearts to fully understand their meaning and to take a full reckoning into our whole existence its true nature which is sorrow and suffering with occasional happiness and to find out whether we want to live the way we do with all our conflicts suffering wars and destruction or to find out if there is a total different way of approaching the life. As far as I know it is only the Buddha who has talked about the true religion with complete and perfect precision. Even so if people create a labeled institutionalized religion (Buddhism) out of what Buddha said then it would be same as Islam-nothing but an empty belief and a set of books and physical and mental infrastructures and paraphernalia to mesmerize ignorant masses and with the monks doing a religious business.

“American diplomats paid the price with their lives For Israeli Jewish film producer’s crime”

Also I’m getting tired of peoples “my religion is better than yours” attitude, irrespective of what their religion is.

True religion has nothing to do with the generally practiced faith and belief based religion. Organized religions have been the cause of wars, destruction and human suffering. Religions whatever it is will only deprive man of realizing the ultimate truth. It is only when a human being abandoned all the religious affiliations that he would come upon the true meaning of religion which has nothing to do with all these superstitious religions. The over-enthusiasm, over-emphasis state patronage for the religion too is a factor for creating strife and friction among people. Religion is a personal thing and it has everything to do with intelligent perception of true nature of oneself, the nature of suffering that one undergoes in this world and finding out whether there is a solution to be free of this entire quagmire. Should there be any need for a religion its role should be limited to the role played by any ordinary school in the world: to teach the abc and then you are on your own. Once you are out of the school you don’t make an idol, a belief, a faith or a cult around the school but you just leave it and go away-probably you will never return to it!

I might re-assure Brother Jamal when we were children in Colombo our Muslim neighbours were pious, peaceful and law-abiding. They caused no inconvenience to others and were, therefore, loved. So were the Borahs and Khojas, whose devotion to their prayers inspired all of us. Admittedly, there is much in Islamic tenets that need to be respected.
But the problem is peaceful Islam has been hijacked by fanatics, radicals and intolerant extremiss more for political and world-conquest purposes and the vast majority of Islamists in the world are silenced by these virulent Mullahs and their followers.

I used the term “Fundamentalist” in the currently accepted term.

If the Arab and other Islamic countries wish to be considered tolerant of other religions the unacceeptable rigidity prevalent in the Arab countries today such as denial to carry books and images of other religions should give way. Western countries are accomodative to the point they allow the building of mosques in their countries. Therefore, it is unfortunate the young American Ambassador was savagely slaughtered in Benghazi.
Even after 9/11 a large Mosque is coming around the Ground Zero location in NYC. Such decent spirit must be matched by the Arab and Islamist followers. Extreme calls like “those who do not follow Islam are infidels and, therefore, must be physically killed” is a cry from the medieval world of neanderthals of many millenia ago. Such cries have no place in today’s modern and religious-tolerant world. In my own Hindu religion there is no bar on a person of another person coming in to our places of worship – even with their religious books. So it is in Christian churches, Buddhist Temples etc., That is the true test of peace and accomodation in a religion.

The West invaded Libya, stole the huge amount of gold in the coffers, killed Gaddafi and destroyed the superb irrigation scheme from the huge deep aquifers in the region that Gaddafi had set up, Just look at the photographs of the ambassador just before his death – it almost looks like he KNEW he was a marked man!

You know what; this is Muslim tribalism at its best. May be the film may have encroached upon unreasonably on their mental territory. But the issue here is the vast continental outrage of all the Muslims around the world! This is by no means religion. In the name of Muhammad, Allah or whatever they have organized themselves into a vast, international, irrational, violent mob cult called Muslim. This Muslim concept is so weak and profane that a stupid piece of a worthless film can bring out the primitive, tribal, animal in the Muslims. Can you call this religion? Not only Muslims but people of other religions too have this stupid reactive nature though to a subdued nature. This goes on to prove that man though outwardly presents himself in a civilized attire is in fact inwardly like a canine ever ready to tear apart his human brother in the name of his stupid belief. Really who are these stupid [Edited out]
They are but causes of war and hate mongering! All the other religious leaders too are the same! This is not the fault of those actual religious people or what they preached if what they preached was really religious but the fault of stupid ignorant people who have ideologized what those people have said. These so called religious people do not actually follow what the original orator said but established some superstition called religion or nation that divides people and generate hate among people. When you call yourself Sinhalese, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Christian or whatever you ceases to be human and assumes inwardly and mentally and ideologically the proportions of violence and division among humans!

I am not surprised about the comments from Sarandeebiiy and many like him/her. Despotic Gaddaffi was milking the country for over 40 years and stealing all its resources. When his Brother-in-Law argued for development funds, he had him machine-gunned (about 15 years ago) He (Gaddafi) fell because all the Tribal Chiefs in the vast Desert began to question his authority. The Libyan people were beginning to talk about his lecherous ways, his 65 caucasian women around him, the extravagant birthday parties he held for his grand-children in Rome (where some US entertainers were paid US$3 million for an hour’s performance) When Fareed Zakari/CNN interviewed him (about an year before his fall) Zakaria openly said the man is a severe drug addict and was unsteady during the interview. Remember the Public charter the Tribal Chiefs issued calling for Gaddafis removal?
In a medieval society such as that the action of the Tribal Chiefs is the signal Gaddafi’s days were numbered. So let us not blame the US or the E/U for his ouster. It will only be a fool who will argue they had nothing to do with the ouster of the dictator. Libya was deeply divided for sometime along tribal lines. As to the US robbing Libyan gold????

As to reader Chandimal, I agree with much of what you say. Remember the Dutch political leader Geert Wilders who is in record saying “it is not a religion. It is a disturbed mental condition”

“And He it is Who has created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon, each in an orbit floating.” (21:33)
“Until when he reached the place where the sun set, he found it going down into a black sea, and found by it a people.” 13:87 (Quran says earth is fixed and flat and the Sun has a ‘setting place’. rising place is mentioned in 13:90)

Koranic teaching still insists that Sun moves around the earth.

How can we advance, when they teach like this?? ;) :) ;)

      Hema,
How do you call East and West in sinhala? In english when the sun appears to our eyes in the morning,we call it”sun rises”,and in the
evening it becomes “sun-sets”.In Tamil it is “sooriya uthayam and astha
manam”.That’s how people described the appearence and disappearence of
sun.The finding that the world is round is just 350 yrs old.Do you know
that at one stage, the science thought the history of human existence started between 10.000-15.000 yrs ago.And then dug deep and found,it was 40.000-60.000 yrs ago.And then again dug deeper and changed it to something around 250.000 yrs.As nothing in this world is still not perfect, how can you find fault only with Quran that was made available by a man called prophet Muhammad,a lttle more than 1400yrs.And what makes you say “it still insists”? How do you want it to change?New edition by a 1400yrs old?

My my my! Enter Hema the ignoramus! What a wonderful discovery !!! After more than fourteen centuries of its existence, Hema discovers that the Quran says the Earth is flat! How come all those Orientalists and critics like George Sale, Montgomery Watt missed this one. Hema what is wrong with 21:33? As for 13:87 and 13:90 Surah 13 has only 43 verses. This indicates that Hema has no idea of what 13:87 or 13:90 refers to. Probably copied his stuff from the dharmadveepaye blogspot! If the Quran says the Earth is flat how come the Japanese Astronomer Dr. Yoshikade Kozai, Professor Emeritus at Tokyo University. Thank heavens, the task has been taken off my shoulders by the others above to show the futlity of blind faith, the belief in Religion by the people. Although some still try to maintain the quotations posted from the Quoran by some which are questionable, are said to be wrong and try to interpret what Scientists have been impressed with, of what is stated in the Quoran to support, does not help the Islamic cause much. But the fact remains that if the stuff revealed in the Islamic writings is fabricated part or thereoff, the rest can not have credibility anyway. What is evident from the above comments, is that some have mellowed down in their defense of Islam, is a sure sign that Religion is on the way out where all mankind can live without division. Another facet why man became Religious was because of the envisaged theory of, ‘The End of the World’.

Gamini the heavens you thanked will not exist forever, all religions do not contradict this one I believe. Stars are born and they die as science tells us . So there is no contradiction between science and religion on this one. Quotations of the Qur’an are referred to disprove the false allegations that the Islaam bashes hurl in their comments, sans proof. Gamini you speak of fabrications , why don’t you be specific. As I mentioned before even so called Muslims in support of their vile agendas tried to fabricate Hadith but due to our fool proof system of vetting them they have been clearly identified and trashed. As for blind belief then it is a very relative proposition. I believe that you believe blindly in atheism. So you cannot accuse me, judge me and sentence me with your irrational and prejudiced mind. You are guilty of the very charge you accuse all religionists. You are not open to any explanation since your mind is impervious to anything to prove the existence of God. At least the agnostic would say may be! Notwithstanding all this our discussions have mellowed your somewhat rabid hatred towards religions (especially Islaam) that you displayed at the beginning. So perhaps with time you will realize the futility of barking up the wrong tree. Take care

Jamal, Heavens, Hell, God are concepts coined by man alone and only a belief. Therefore as long as man exists on this planet, Heavens will exist. The birth and death of meteors (stars) are nature’s phenomena that has nothing to do with a God.

Gamini, we learnt that Parallel lines do not meet. A straight line is what connects two points and it is 2 dimensional. If you have no concept of 3D geometry then this is an acceptable axiomatic proposition. This is an undeniable belief. A knowledge of 3D geometry is a revelation to the man blinded by his lack of knowledge. Even lines that seem to be parallel can meet and a line may not be 2 dimensional after all. Truth can therefor only be realized by higher knowledge. The religionists refer to this knowledge as revelation. In the matter of religion, not everyone has the capacity to comprehend and explain. It is here that great religious leaders fill the bill. Hence gamini as far as I am concerned you can still remain with the belief that parallel lines do not meet and the straight line is a 2 dimensional entity connecting 2 points. It should serve you well and believe me you will survive with ‘YOUR’ blind belief. Others will advance spiritually. But I forgot this is ‘OUR’ blind belief. We are both of different views and only a third neutral party can judge, Not you on us!

Jamal, God has been invented by man long before even single dimention graphics were in force. Therefore there can not be a 3D image of God then and certainly Allah can not be 3D either. Further belief can not be supported by 2D and 3D for your information and possibly as you suggest an Alien from a UFO might. So look out for the skys every night.

Gamini, I havent read a ‘kohoda yanne Malle Pol” reply better than this one. But this has been your modus operandi all the way, all the time. The similitude was not to picture GOD, whom we say ipso facto is formless, but to try an explain a concept that is incomprehensible to you, the futility of which is evident – fait accompli.

As things unfold all around, Islam seems to be a violent, reactive, murderous and destructive affair where at the slightest provocation people get down to the streets and display all sorts of violent, stupid and destructive behaviors. They believe they are ardent Islamists and are prepared to sacrifice their lives in the name of their religion. This is utter madness. This behaviour does not in any way fall within the meaning of a religion. If one were to call the things Muslims are doing right now as a reaction to an insulting film then when jeered and provoked some stupid irate person’s swearing can be deemed a form of Islam only difference being he does not have a Quran to hide behind when challenged and quote to cover once ignorance! Ancient wise people used the word religion to represent a totally different meaning to the one people now interpret. Those people who come to the streets and demonstrate and remonstrate are just thugs and mobs without any rational thinking ability. These Muslims have found protection and security in the idea of Islam. They have invented and attached all the myths, hopes and beliefs around Islam and Quran and their ancient religious leaders and become mass and continental-hypnotized and conditioned by that belief. They have invented and created their own particular identity after that belief and they use that compartmentalized attitude to live on this world as a different kind of human beings. There are other human beings too on this planet who are doing more or less the same thing as Muslims do. So when someone from camp A throws a stone at camp B all the hell breaks loose! Religions in the world are like carcasses over which dogs fight! This is not the fault of the basic concept of a religion, but these stupid masses in the world have turned it into a bone of contention! If the Hell be true, these so called religious people would definitely go there however dearly they believe in Heaven or God! The world today needs not religions but some kind of a mental therapy and wellbeing procedure in mass scale. This society is so corrupt and ignorant and destructive. If the God whom the Muslims belief is to descend on this earth, what would you do? Will you give up your violence? Will you give up your Muslim identity? Will you free your women whom you have locked up in your culture? Will you throw away your Holy Quran? No, because you all are slaves of your own creation, your religion, your god, your holy book, your holy Mohammed etc. You all have been self-hypnotized and you are not prepared to see or accept that fact. The Muslims are a human army against the rest of the mankind and their commander is Islam. Though not so vociferous all the other ethnicities too individually are human armies against other armies lead by their religious leaders though already dead thousands of years ago! So then an important question arises which is what is really a religion despite all the regions in the world today? Do people need a religion at all and if so what for? Is the function of religion is just to create a belief however sanctified, glorified and bazaar it is? Or must we look at this from a different perspective?

      Chandimal,
Bernard Lewis,an expert in Islam and Middle East study,a consultant of
Bush on the invasion of Iraq and of Jewish origin, has said that Islam is not only a religion,it’s a culture, civilization and politics. The whole of what you have said above has only focussed on the religious side of Islam.Even majority of Muslims are made to believe that Islam is only a religion that is supposed to give them Heaven and Hell for their good and bad deeds.Situation is now changing and this was expected by the west.If you look at the other side of Islam, you will
have to change most of your post. The separation of church from the state in the west didn’t happen from invasion of other armies but from
within and gradually. The case with Muslim countries are quite different

        whywhy,

‘..that Islam is not only a religion,it’s a culture, civilization and politics..”

I am sorry to observe that at some point in future Islam is going to be branded as a religion, culture, civilization and politics of terrorism, hate mongering, destruction, a cause leading to wars, a menace that has to be eliminated from the face of the earth! Last week we all witnessed how small kids from Pakistan’s so called Islamists were protesting against the recent film wielding swords in their hands. Your above comments clearly show you understand neither religion nor politics or culture and civilization. This mundane religion, culture, civilization and politics is the cause of all the problems in the world today as well as in the past. That is why the greatest religious leader ever to be born in the world Buddha did not partake any of those things and disseminated his teachings completely neutrally and independently. You by trying to tie this religious concept to the sources of conflicts are destroying the last hope man has to get out of this mire manmade. This type of ideas cannot be held by an intelligent man but by an extremely narrow and short sighted man only.

          Chandimal,
you have made it clear as to who’s short sighted and narrow minded
by failing to look at wider picture and trying to fish in troubled
water. Some of your valid points you had raised in your posts are
now washed away because of your efforts to prop up Buddhism as the
best compared to other religions. Not you man, even a former British
foreign secretary reportedly admitted that there’no clear definition as to what a religion is.My whole point is,there’s smoke because there’s fire and that’s why Obama and Lady Clinton rushed to distance themselves from any state involvement. From the beginning you,in your posts, try to raise Buddhist flag instead of focussing on the issue unbiased and intelligently.Very easy man to go with the tide.I’m putting up my defence about the issue to take part in a useful fact finding unbiased debate and not to deflate or inflate others. What’s going to happen to Muslims or Islam can not be predicted by short sighted intelligence. If I was a biased person I wouldn’t have quoted a Jew here to prove a point, there are many others out there with the same view.To state that Buddhism is a religion, you and not me,must check with your intelligence.

whywhy, who the hell is this “former British foreign secretary” from whom you have borrowed the idea what Islam or religion is? This is the problem with second hand human beings like you! You pick up something somewhere expressed by somebody or nobody and then carry that idea on your shoulders as the one and the only truth and then quarrel with anybody who holds a different opinion! I don’t need an interpreter to understand what Buddhism or what other religions are all about! I said Buddhism is the only true religion because it is the truth. You don’t have to vacillate or go roundabout and please others who believe in superstitions to talk about truth. I don’t say all the stupid and superstitious things the so called Buddhist around the world are doing and saying about Buddhism is real Buddhism. If you delve deep into the teachings of Buddha you can see for yourself what I am saying. Buddhism does not believe in any outside agency, any god, any mediator, any priest, any belief, any organized set of rituals and customs as the truth or the road to truth. Rather it solely focuses on man himself, his thought process, his actions, his behavior, his relationship to his fellow human beings and to the world at large, it discovers the real nature of man which is sorrow, and the real cause of sorrow as greed, hate and ignorance, it then enumerates the eightfold path that one has to follow to be free of the sorrow, it clearly documents the various stages of a human being who is on course for the final emancipation. This is the only one religion in the world that has offered a complete solution to problem of man’s existence on this earth. Also it is not comprehensible by unintelligent people. The comments posted by whywhy indicate that he is qualified to be encapsulated in this unintelligent category for which we feel sorry to note. Whywhy you harangue about unbiasedness and impartiality. I say speaking of truth is not a question of that sort. Can you describe the essence, core principles and final goal of your religion Islam and how to achieve that by a human being? What is your and your religion’s overall view about man and the world? Why do you always mention BPUH, why do you cut away a piece from your penis, why do you wrap your females all over the body with cloths except the eyes, why do you run to the mosque two times a day and pray to Allah or whatever, do you think that action will liberate you, don’t you think Muslims are an utter stupid hysteric mad violent mob as proved by the recent pogroms where they attacked every Dick Tom and Harry in protest of a film that more than 99.9% of those stupid mobs have not watched? You give your explanations to these questions and I will give mine after your feedback.

          Chandimal,
“if you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough”A quote from Albert Einstein.Again I become a second hand human being in front of an “intelligent devout Buddhist of Buddha’s time”. You are so immersed in self-importance that you call me a second hand human being, just for taking an example from a prominent figure in world politics. You say about you speaking the truth.Truth or false, readers will judge it.Your questions show your intentions and the group you belong to.Your question “why do you run to the mosque two times a day” makes it clear that you are talking without any understanding about even the basics of Islam. In India even MGR is an Idol of worship. So,I don’t have to argue
with you to say that Buddhism is not a religion. Now you tell me,
under what condition Buddha left his wife and the child,in search
          of solutions to human sufferings?

That depends on the person’s intellectual capscity. If the person accepts this as you say, then he is no better than those misguided ruffians who take to the street causing violence. But if he is not prejudiced and has the capacity to read and understand the religion from its pristine sources then he will comprehend that Islaam is against this type of violent reaction. Remember that those who join and demonstrate are a small coterie of people, microscopic when compared to the whole population of its adherents. To judge the actions of this small set and blame their religion is surely prejudice of the highest order.

Jamal, the issue reference Islam is the very pristine sources that you mention. There was conflict when Prophet Mohamed himself tried to unify those who believed in Islam prior to him practising Islam. The truth is there was no brotherhood even among the different Muslim groups, then nor now. So how can you expect to unify society through Religion when there is disunity prevelant among the Muslims themselves and among the rest with diverse beliefs? I am sorry, Religion has to be out for mankind to Unite.

Gamini, sorry we are not on the same wavelength here. The principles of Islaam were not practised before him in Mecca where he was born and lived at the time of the first revelation. Remember I said read and understand Islaam from its pristine sources, I meant that he should not rely on e.g Dharmadveepayeiranama.blogspot where anti Islaamic propaganda is disseminated at the behest of their Israeli paymasters. It is an open secret that the Zionist are trying to create confusion in the Islaamic world. The type of propaganda is very similar to those in other Israeli anti Islaamic web sites. Hence what I requested was to research from original sources to form an unbiased opinion. Of course he may disagree and that is his prerogative. At least he will then understand that the Islaam preached by the Prophet (S) and his companions are different from the practises of the fanatical fringe elements of the community.
Brotherhood is the concept he preached where a man or woman in the eyes of God are judged by the good they do and not by social status or wealth. About the disunity of the Muslims and deviance, then this was one of his prophecies when he said that the Muslims will be divided into 73 sects in the future, 72 of them on the wrong track. Most if not all who resort to unauthorized violence are in my opinion on the wrong track.
When I call for unity in spite of the divide, we in a multi ethnic society should keep religion as personal and unite for a greater cause. e.g. If the Muslims were to protest in a peaceful manner against these sacrilegious actions of whoever made the film, I am sure non-muslims would support on principle in spite of our differences. Chandimal agreed that the film was improper though he disagrees in the manner of the protest. So I would expect you and Chandimal to join me in a peaceful protest if ever there was one

some Muslims by identifying themselves so terribly and inseparably with Islam hope to face and overcome any threat they face in the world: their land rights, expansion of their boundaries, expansion of their population, keeping their womenfolk died and subservient to them etc. They do not assimilate but segregate. They want to invade the world with their religion. They have chosen the wrong concept to do all those things. Religion cannot possibly be a vehicle to carry all those mundane cargo. If religion ignites wars and cause killings it cannot be a religion. Time has come now for the world to isolate and let alone religion from their stupid madness and murderous violence. The world has now progressed materially and technologically and to resolve their mundane problems there are institutions like UN, International Rights Groups and Organizations, Territorial and international laws etc. People must shelve their ignorance and undergo a transformation in their attitudes and thinking patterns and values.

Chandimal, I quite agree with you. The present world needs a new Order without Religion as the governing force. Mankind cannot wait for Providence to answer for human short comings.

    • 0
      0

Dont you realize that you are living in a Fool’s world? If the UN is capable of solving these problems they must first take steps to gather Bush, Cheyney, Blair and others who created havoc in Iraq and those responsible recently among the Western Nations in Libya. If the Lord Buddha with his glorious message, the Prophets Jesus, Moses and Mohamed could not achieve this then no man could ever do so. It is the easiest thing to sit on an armchair and theorize. The Lord Buddha sacrificed the comforts of Royal luxury for the benefit of his fellow human beings in search of Truth. So did the other Prophets who sacrificed a lot to guide mankind. Miscreants existed during their tenure in the world and after. They will continue to do so till the end of time. Creating a division between religionists and anti-religionists is not the answer. The answer is to mobilize the opinion of all peace loving people to defeat this trend as it is opposed to the the concepts those founders had in mind. For this people of all religions and even atheists like my friend gamini, must unite.

Jamal, with certain things religion should not involve. Lord Buddha did not march on roads with his monks in protest of anything that existed opposed to Buddhism nor did he meddle with politics or laymen’s ways of living and governance. What he did was he maintained his Order in an exemplary manner and used reason discussion explanation and sermons to drive home his vision to other people. When someone disagreed he just left that someone to his own devices by which approach he maintained his honour, respect and reverence. After all, Jamal, let me say this now. I am not a sales representative of Buddha or Buddhism. But out of all the religions now exist in the world, what is the most logical, sane, practical, observable, achievable and all-encompassing one? It is only Buddhism, other religions are just beliefs and superficial cosmetic applications. They will tell you not to kill, not to steal, not to do wrong, do good, be good. But in their core teaching they have nothing that provide real answers to the problem of life. Problem of life is not just the mundane and material implications, but the deep meaning of life, its inherent sorrow, understanding the real nature of sorrow, understanding the real nature of thought and finding out how to be free of this sorrow. Though for the sake of discussion and reference it is called Buddhism, the revealed universal truth of Buddhism has no ownership, any and all human beings are entitled to and can understand what Buddha understood. It is then not Buddhism though we call it Buddhism as a mark of respect to that great human being who discovered it. Jamal, you represent the whole of mankind, I too and anybody else too. But the problem is we do not have anything of our own, we are all second hand human beings, and we believe and accept other’s solutions and religions. I have hired Buddha’s religion, you have Mohammad’s, and others have other forms of acceptances and religions. This wholesale and mere acceptance of a religion is not going to add anything of substance to our lives. It may display an outward religious appearance but we remain just ordinary mundane complicated and miserable human beings. That is the fact, that we are all miserable, complicated and lost lives. Merely believing in God, Heavens, Allah, Quran, Jesus or whatever it is would not change our lives an inch. Inversely it will intorduce more and more chaose to the society because blind faith is bound to generate more divisions and conflicts among humans. So Jamal, first be clear what you want out of religion, find out what your heart and mind realy wants, question the very core and the whole of Islam, Holy Quran and what you and others belive. Do you really think your religion can reasonable and realistically provide you with something worthy, great and sacred? If you are inquisitive enough have a look at what Buddha has said and make an asessment. Religion, truth, reality and those things that may exist outside our daily conflicts and shallownes should not be made part of our daily quarells. You should not carry home the truth, religion and temple out there. Sacred things should remain sacred. The beautiful skies, the wind that embraces you, the beautiful flower swaying in the wind, the marvelous jungle with all its majesty, mysteries, ponderace, silence, birds and animals are out there; they exist in nature’s rightful place; they just exist there and you can’t take them to your home or possess them! So try to understand the religion, truth, your innermost pursuit but don’t build segregating concepts, religions, beliefs, faiths, gods etc.

Jamal, precisely, all of whom you have mentioned should be made to pay for the crimes committed. Law and Order should be upheld without bias. This is only possible if all the Nations agree, unlike the present practise where the world is devided on faith and the UN is only a name tag.

whywhy, don’t get entangled ever so deeply in the mire! Don’t expand on the second handedness but rather try to be free of it. Albert Einstein was a scientist and scientific explanations and definitions do not require so many elucidations because they are relatively easily explained by the accepted logical arguments and explanations. But when it comes to psychological realm and superstition and beliefs and religion naturally it requires some detailed explanations and clarifications as does the analysis on Mahinda Rajapasksha rogue regime administration! Look man, we are all second hand human beings and that includes you and me. And what we must aspire to achieve is to overcome this shame by understanding the real facts about the issue where upon doing that we lose our second handedness! The moment you see the truth or the fallacy in reality you have crossed over to the realm of intelligence!

Before I answer your questions can you please write your answers to the questions I asked of you? If you do not know never mind write so! You know this psychological concept and idol building is a very dangerous business. When you psychologically create a religion as Islam or Buddhism etc. then the vast ignorant masses in the world become followers of it and they get entangled in it and orient themselves at loggerheads against various established religions and beliefs. Intelligent study of a religion purely for spiritual knowledge and wellbeing is an entirely different issue. The intensity or shallowness of one’s spiritual search and exploration is a mirror of one’s intelligence and greatness. If you want to be satisfied with just a set of beliefs as raison d’etre of your pursuit of religion it is a beacon of the level of your spiritual depth and human quality. Unlike your stupid Quran or the stupid superstitious Buddhist monks, the Buddha’s teachings have analyzed, vivisectioned and explained you and me from head to toe, from inside to outside, from conscious to unconscious, from birth to death, from Heaven to Hell, from sorrow to joy, from ignorance to enlightenment, from the perils of Samsara to emancipation of enlightenment. The world is really missing those who have witnessed the firsthand knowledge of these great teachings. If the face value of Islam promised greater intelligent spiritual prospects I would definitely have been interested in Islam! Since it did not I have my assessment on Islam. A new awakening of understanding must be there in the world where the psychological payload attached to religions the world over is divested from the minds of the people and an objective approach purely on the grounds of spiritual wellbeing is substituted.

      Chandimal,
Good we meet again with some clear improvement in your approach which is helpful to further our exchange. But you are asking me to answer your questions while calling the Quran stupid! How do you want me to imagine
your reaction to any of my answers?Did I call the followers of Buddha or others who follow different doctrines”stupid”? Do you know that Buddhism is all about practice and nothing but practice? One can ask thousands of questions as to whether it’s practicable by a modern man.You talk about intelligence all over your posts and practising quite short of it. Intelligence is about the ability of understanding learning and thinking out faster. How many strong followers of Islam who graduated to scholars and scientists in many fields and became pioneers of modern scientific development? You got the Google to search for more.
Just enter”Islamic golden era/age if you are truly thirsty for knowledge.
Well Chandimal, your first couple of questions need long answer because
they demand detailed explanation.Let me first go with short one.Muslims go to mosque five times a day for praying in congregation. Why pray? This is the second most important duty of a Muslim. The reason is to remember Allah. You can pray alone anywhere of your choice except where
prohibited(congregation recommended). The benefit of prayer is many fold
and the social impact is also quite exemplary, especially unity among
its adherents. As for circumcision,it’s pre Islamic culture existed among Arab communities and supposedly other non Arab communities.Islam
has certain rules for women’s clothes but not covering the face as far
as I know.My opinion on the reaction of muslim world to the outrageous
film was stated in an earlier post.
Though your other questions require more detailed long answer,I would try to make it as brief as possible in order to save space and time and
also in the hope that you are already familiar with some aspects of Islam, positive or negative. The basic concept of Islam is to believe that Allah(God)is the creator and the Lord of the Universe and to whom
all creations must be grateful for their creation and sustenance by way
of being obedient to his will. Also called submission and surrender. And
you believe in his messenger prophet Muhammad who guides you through the messages of Allah he receives from Jibreel, the appointed angel for
the purpose. As for the Goal of Islam,in my view is the strongest faith
in Allah and Islam. There are secondary offers of goals, like entering
heaven and escaping hell. But generally being fully faithful is the most
perfect goal that can take you to your other goals. To achieve your goals you have to put your intentions into practice.Five times prayer is one such practice. If you have more than $15 in wealth, you must give
away 2% as tax which is called Zakaat annual tax.I simply added this
because of you focus only on the spiritual side of Islam. And also there
are conditions as to how this tax must be collected, distributed and used. Here you get economic and political aspect of Islam.Well now,you
      asked me how I view Islam.Simply put,not a fanatic,no radical and no
extremist.Muslim by birth is my identity.Have I answered all of your
      questions?
