Ampara is currently facing a heavily tense situation with impending riots by Sinhalese mobs against Muslims.
Reports from the ground indicate that there is a riot building up currently after a drunken Sinhalese group of youth had entered Hotel Cassim located in D S Senanayaka Veediya, Ampara and forced the cashier to admit that they were mixing sterilising medicine with food they sell.
Last night, a mosque, several Hotels and vehicles belonging to Muslims in Ampara have been attacked by Sinhala mobs leading to major tensions.
Police have been mobilized.
A video clip posted on Facebook by Buddhist Information Centre shows the muslim cashier was forced to accept that they mixed sterilising medicine with food they sell.

The chronological sequence seems to be this: Two customers have been served food at the Muslim owned and staffed hotel, in which they had found violet tablets hidden inside the food. These tablets have turned out to be those used for sterelization of humans as reported in the media, and apparently that was the causation of this unrest. The owner or the manager has accepted the fact theywere behind the act on questioning, under some pressure may be, as he is not going to declare volunatrily the dastardly act that he had committed. His action is a criminal act and it does not need molly coddling him in my opinion. I have seen the video concerned, there was some assertiveness in the questioner, but it was not thretaening. It may well be correct that in the Eastern provinces where muslims population is a high proportion, there may be a clandestine plot to reduce the population of other ethnic groups as they want to increase their own population by suppressing births in other groups. I personally think that this is a serious issue and needs thorough investigation.

Did they find them immediately after started eating or just before finished eating?
How sure are you these were not planted by the customers with a view either to not paying for the food or claiming large compensation?
Have you any medical evidence to prove these were indeed sterilization pills and not pills for diabetes, perhaps Viagra?
Some cafes used to cook rice with areca nut to stop the customers eating or demanding more rice. Any chance of these pills being the modern day substitute for areca nuts?
