Arjuna Mahendran Is Innocent – Another Betrayal By Yahapālanaya

By Granville Perera

My Theory:

The United National Party (UNP) led common opposition won the Presidential election in January 2015. Their partners including Civil Society organizations ( and our dear old Rt. Venerable Sobitha himi) that joined the campaign for regime change were penniless. The cost of the election campaign ran in to several billions for the UNP, the main architect of the common opposition. The Indians and the West (USA, Norway, Switzerland etc.) invested heavily on the UNP to cause regime change, but nowhere close to the campaign funds needed. Malik Samarawickrama, the man who handled the campaign money for the common opposition was known to make frantic calls to top business leaders pleading for financial support even on the 7th of January 2015. If Maithripala Sirisena (at that time a mere puppet of the common opposition) had lost, the entire lot including the Sirisena family would have been buried or fed to the vultures by the ruthless Rajapaksas. So Malik Samarawickrama and Ravi Karunanayake begged, borrowed and probably stole to keep the campaign afloat. The end was more than 3 billion in unpaid bills. The government in power could not dishonour or postpone its commitments, so Malik went to the central bank and …. Now the sacrificial lamb Arjuna Mahendran has been slaughtered. The rest will be undocumented history.arjuna mahendran

Arjuna Mahendran, the little brat of Charlie Mahendran, one time top diplomat and Ranil Wickremesinge advisor had the credentials to take over at the helm of our country’s central bank. Veterans like Indrajith Coomarasamy and many others were overlooked (not even asked) because they would not have submitted to the whims and fancies of the Samarawickrama-Karunanayake clan. So, with Arjuna in place, Malik started his ball rolling. The scandalous son in law of Arjuna, Arjun Aloysius (who was a Rajapaksa side kick) was asked to bid.. and the campaign deficit was bridged. Ravi Karunanayake, as finance minister got the state banks to bank roll Arjun Aloysius and a cool 3.4 billion went to pay the Sirisena campaign debts and some left overs to the pockets of the schemers.

There is nothing new about this deal. Both Rajapaksa and Wickremesinghe probably knew every little detail about the scandal. None of them can open their mouths because the shit would hit the fan. Corruption has become part of the political culture of all developing nations and Rajapaksas perfected it in Sri Lanka in their decade long rule. They have learnt well from the despots of Uganda and Seychelles Islands, but no one believed that Ranil Wickremesinghe would stoop down to Rajapaksa levels. Sirisena, still probably doesn’t understand the intricacy of this scam, hence he makes little noises that are laughable. Little does he realize that all these were done to save his butt?

This is not the first time such deals had taken place, The pyramid scheme king, Cabraal mastered this scam for the Rajapaksas and Sri Lanka continued to lose billions every few months. The Rajapaksas were masters at borrowing and used every opportunity to amass wealth for their next twenty generations. They even had plans to send the little brat to the moon and beyond at Chinese expense, courtesy EXIM bank. The commercial lending rates in the international markets were as low as 2 to 3 percent on the US dollar, but the Export-Import (EXIM) Bank of China was a willing lender at interest rates as high as 8%. Our great grand children will have to pay these debts, so the Rajapaksa siblings and children made hay while the sun was shining on them. They are yet to answer for their follies. Will they ever be held accountable? I believe they will, eventually.

Sirisena is desperately trying to save the SLFP from splitting. A split would mean that they will not come back to power for the next twenty years. So, he continues to hold the Rajapaksa corruption, murder and plundering of the LTTE wealth as ransom to keep the party as one. How long can he hold on? When will the UNPers rebel? Basil who doesn’t care a damn about the party (or his siblings) is ready to have a new start for the breakaway SLFP. People who talked about Yahapalanaya have brought in the Yakkas from the SLFP to rule us now.

Arjunas’ seems to be in a bit of spot these days. Captain cool Arjuna seems to have suddenly become a stud and is making furniture for his mistresses. I can understand if it was a comfortable bed, but it looks like his taste is in culinary delights, so he is making pantry cupboards for his newfound beauties. With his brother by his side to collect his dirty collections, they are having plenty of wine, women and song, or so say his union leaders. His unions are also accusing him of storing huge amounts of aphrodisiacs in shipping warehouses? What an irony for one of the men who led the Yahapalanaya battle. Thank god, the Arjunas and Arjuns would soon be history, God willingly or as my Muslim brethren would say insa allah.

Ranil and Maithri cannot let the Rajapaksas take over the country again. The sunshine revolution of the people is not their private property. People risked everything to bring about regime change and they cannot be betrayed. Its time Ranil Wickremesinghe mounts the galloping horse and takes control of the reigns, and guides the nation to prosperity. In the process, he can drop any number of Arjunas or Sirisenas. He alone is the mortal who could do this after all the plundering done by the decade long rule of Medamullana traitors.

For those of you who do not buy my theory, I have great respect, because I too find this to be a long shot, because in a country like ours, facts are worse than fiction. Shalom from the conspirators.

    Granville Perera,

Very intriguing and palatable! This is why there is all the more reasons why AM must be protected and respected because he is innocent. I will give my life but would never hurt an innocent. I think these civil activising lunatics must be white vanned. That is the only solution to this problem. These [Edited out] are able even to open their mouths without fear because UNP made a supreme sacrifice to get rid of the Rajapakshas. And as you say it may have cost them dearly and they have to settle those monies. In other words you amputate a limb to save the life. These civil activist [Edited out] without knowing anything on how their lives were saved and the regime changed are now taken up arms against the very crusaders of change! RW must act strongly and firmly and if necessary take to strong actions against them like even putting some of them in jail like university ragging students. We want RW to honour the mandate we gave him and run this country in a way that delivers us from the Rajapaksha burden and baggage, create jobs, improve incomes, attract investment, build infrastructure and confer on us a prosperous future. And on the way we don’t mind a few Keerthi Thennakoon, Lalkantha et al[Edited out]

Cabraal and Mahendran have had impunity and impunity with Ranil-Sira Ayahapalanaya govt. and they need to be held accountable and their assets frozen till inquiry is completed into the bond scams, insider trading, EPF and ETF embezzlement and currency manipulation is complete.

Also the Panama Papers invdividuals need to be investigated and the funds tracked to pay off the national debt.IMF is distracting everyone from this fundamental SOLUTION to the crashing economy because IMF has legalized financial criminality in the global system.

Inderjith Coomaraswamy who loves power and showing off will also turn a blind eye to corruption!

I have heard him say at the Sri Lanka business forum addressing Basil Rajapaksa when the latter was so called Minister of Economic Affairs that Commonwealth Institute used to telfrican Dictators that corruption was ok if the job was done! This is how the IMF and World Bank have legalized financial corruption and Inequality and poverty in the global economy with trickle up policies that enable rich to get richer and today 63 individuals own over half the world;s wealth according to OXFAM. IC also loves the IMF and World bank! He should be told to ask IMF and WB to use their so-called experts to track down the looted funds from Sri Lanka stored in off shore bank accounts to pay off the debt of Sri Lanka, and investigate those named in Panama Papers, rather than asking for cut backs on social sector and welfare spending and asking the poor to subsidized the rich and enable TRICKLE UP and more poverty and INEQUALITY and VIOLENCE in Sri Lanka.

This above narrative and the bond issue are two different issues.

Arjuna Mahendran must come out with the facts of the case, so that people with common sense, can judge. Why is not cumming out with the facts of the case and defend himself. Clearly articulate the case.

By not clearly articulating the case of the issue, he is letting others define the problem.

True, Sri Lanka has those with Common sense with functioning brains, and those who lack common sense, called idiots, with partially functioning brains.

          http://www.photius.com/rankings/national_iq_scores_country_ranks.html

The intelligence scores came from work carried out earlier this decade by Richard Lynn, a British psychologist, and Tatu Vanhanen, a Finnish political scientist, who analysed IQ studies from 113 countries, and from subsequent work by Jelte Wicherts, a Dutch psychologist.

Remember, Copernicus, Galileo, Kepler, Newton, and Foucault kept saying and reminding all that it was not the Sun that went around the Earth, as the ancients and the Church (as per Joshua, the Prophet) kept saying, but it was the Earth that was going around the Sun by rotating on its own axis every day.

Still, 400 odd years later 25% of the Americans and 34% of the Europeans believe what 99.999% of the Europeans believed during Galileo’s time, that the Sun Goes around the Earth.

          There is support for it.

What do you mean by being Educated ? In terms of Uni degree achievements or just the bringing up…

We have good examples, Haward educated Malinda Senvei and Local Educated Dayan Jayathilaka both behave as if they are no different to Wimal Buruwanse who is said to be educated on a tree top. Dayan himsself says, that he has been coming from a background as no other…. but he does the same job… licking … licking … licking….. or what do you think ? Anyways, these three men of srilanka have much in common – to share their thoughts closely as they can to continue their support all abusive Rajaakshes.

I have no idea who can be right here. Mr Megalomaniac fraudster of the nation says he would cut his genitals if proved to have robbed a dollar. In the same time, he brings videos the manner how Japanese folks salute him during his PVT trip made to Japan.
Are Japanese folks that stupid to salute a man of the nature – whose credentials are well known to the western societies – and the world ?

And all these videos how the Japanese welcome him are fake ?

And local media men are obviously one sided by their attacks never go further to see it right what being expalined about Gotabaya and Rajaapkshe clans…

Are all these because people have been brainwashed by their media unit along during the last few years ?

And why those Journos fail to see it further the side of poor vulnerable folks bieng caught and abused by their wrongful information ?

There are thousands of questions that HAVE TO be answered if at all the clarity is expected by the nation.

Just few good Journos would not be able to clear this until the mafia men are removed from the scene.

Samson, Here we talk about Arjuna Mahendran. Not about MR or his Japanese trip or how Japanese people treated him while he was in Japan. If you want to talk about it write a column about it. Really AM could have been a victim of UNP senior members who robbed Central Bank through Perpetual company just to pay the pre election bills.

You may be right but those commentators like SIMON have no ground yet in sl press since [Edited out] are on the way… you are on the way..

COPE will reveal it soon then CBG will have to be removed – that means not Rajakshes can hope for not getting caught… basta sooner or later, Rajaakshes will be caught.

Very unfair AM to paint as a criminal in a society, almost former state leaders are all abusive men -but let them scot free. Not his neck, but his everything should be cut for all the mess left by him and his administration – that is the punishment if investigations would not work.

    • 3
      2

I happened to listen to that Senior Lawyer -Dayasiri on the last Satana program. Can you imagine, he too requests AM to resign… resounding all what had been in the air in term of bond scam issue could be right. I believe, the issue is being INVESTIGATED by scope currently.

And the next should be investigated is the all ill handlings of AM s predecessor – Iqbal. I question why cant a system clear all these within 3 months or 6 months as it is bieng done by EU countries ? I still believe AM is no wrong here, but all these press men interprited as if he caused the huge problems than had been before.. there he is treated by lanken press men making him a big victim actually.

Yes, these guys are being introduced by Sirasa as much senior guys, but them too to add the kind of thoughts coming from simple simons makes us the outsiders feel that srilankens are PINGONNU…. we expect from a senior lawyer advanced answered having focused on the all facets. I think even lawyers have been manipulated by local media men – those new paper articles dont contain any facts relevant to each cases. That is the saddest truth.

It is quite likely that Arjuna Mahendran did not know what his son in law was up to. In other words he too was taken for a ride. The real conspirators here are the ones that enabled this crook to borrow such a staggering amount of money from the bank of Ceylon so he can place a bid with no collateral. Sri Lanka also needs campaign funding laws and transparency on how and who funds party campaigns to stop this sort of thing from happening again. That the UNP would have been critically short of money at the time was obvious. That they managed to pull off the victory they achieved deserves kudos to them if not for this stain. The vicious campaign to get rid of the CB governor by the JO indicates they are in the know of what went on.

Brother, you are most welcome at my place.

And I will open the most expensive Single Malt in my collection just for you.

It is the only way I can say thank you, because I can’t” put gold in your mouth” in this day and age..

Crooked old Malik didn’t open that MUM in the Singaporean’s office for nothing..

Although that 2.65 % in the very first Tranche seems to have well covered all the borrowings according to your computations here, they went for seconds too.

Because Batalanada’s Three Member UNP Committee gave them all clear.

Do you think Shit Hit the Fan in Sirikotha bar at least ?.,

Because Money Launderer Malik , Batalanada Ranil and Galleon Ravi surely wouldn’t be under those dust covered Singers nowadays, when they spend most of their awake time in dual A/C limousines..

Still I like young Chathura Alwis to sniff around at least at the entrance gate to the UNP HQ ,to pick up any odours.

        3

        Mr Padmanathan,

Glad to hear at least your are enjoying good things in life.

No point going to the CB.

If I were you, I will take a good “drop” to see Aloysious at the Perpetual Office in Chatham Street.

And put the name down for short term bonds in FX.

They are going to issue USD 250 Million worth soon.

Send an email and secure a couple of hundred thou.

At the advertised 6.95% it is a damn good return for a Sovereign Bond.especially in USD.

And if Uncle , sorry FIL decides to scoop up the over subscribed funds as well , you may be lucky to get another 2 to 3 % .

But,Don’t take anything more than two years.

Yahapalana LKR Bonds may return 12.5 less 2.65 to Mahendran’s and Maliks and it may still look good .

But who ever comes next might think about those exorbitant rates and may pay them out early. .

So the gravy train wouldn’t run for the 30 years as Mahendran and Money Laundering Malik have promised.

Typical usual Lankan cock-and-bull yarn! : That Sobitha (rest is soul) et al, had no money for the election and hence Arjuna was forced to skew the honorable Lankan financial system of the money of the Common Man, to pay for the 1-billion election bills.

My God! I can imagine Lankans, especially the non-Colombian Sinhalese, really falling for this broad-based fallacy of lies!

That they had the Indians and the West (USA, Norway, Switzerland etc……including the LTTE rump), would have been more than enough money for the elections.

Truth is, the money that went to secure change of regime, and now has the regime-change investors demanding their share of the dividends.

Granville Perera, aren’t you ashamed to play this kind of mischief against the hard-working Lankan Masses so as to secure your share of greater semblance of Western lifestyles via the Indian promise?

All the while, the true reality evades our ancient Island, and the Common Man suffering becomes even more dire.

Not sure about Bodhi Sira , Sambandan , Surendran and Abraham but SLMC Boss certainly wouldn’t like Bacon.

So i haven’t had time to look at the sexual side of things because of my heavy work load.

But now I have a fair idea of what is going on…

Tell me something brother, How is that young Dude Minister who uses Dalit slang like Ammatan ……..pan ?.

And that young dude who switched sides after worshippng at the Rajapaksa statue every morning in that Sirasa Comedy show?.

Also Batalanada’s latest God Son from Gampaha .

            Did they all play Rugby?.

Last but not least, that Minister dude who is all Muscles , which most probably made his Buttocks tight too.although he has lost all his hair because of too much Horse Dope.

He seems to be in good terms with all the UNP heavy hitters lead by batalanada Ranil.

Is he wearing Dipers when he attacks our Sinhala Buddhist MPs, both inside and outside the Hall of Yahapalana Democracy?

Do the Sinhala Buddhists consume bacon like the Japanese Buddhists in late 19th century who ate pigs pork) and beef just to fit in with their American and British friends and some also converted to Christianity? Don’t forget the Kandyans too.

So it hasn’t stopped even 60 years after racist Banda’s Pancha Balavegaya. Those pretentious Dalit lovers gone bit further, they seem to be partial to malteeses, handicap, backhanders, what not.

I wish you well. Leave the poor dalits alone.

At LKR 550 a 500g Pack, it is well beyond our Sinhala Buddhist Dalits.

Although they love Pork, especially the Free Range Fully Organic ones with those protruding teeth.

That leaves only your mates in the future Eelaams in the North , East and Colombo.who are all Yahapalana suckers…

Interesting theory – especially the assumption regarding why the Rajapakses have not yet been busted (ie: “Sirisena is desperately trying to save the SLFP from splitting”).

However, what’s to stop them from busting Cabraal and the other crooks like Weerawansa, his wife, and others who are NOT vital to the continued existence of the SLFP?

Also, why are they letting the Ranatunges get away with all the shit they are pulling???

We need more credible reasons for the breaking of those pre-election promises and why those other shysters who are proven thugs and criminals are still in positions of power – courtesy MS (or is that part of his effort to salvage what’s left of the SLFP?).

All this accusations and counter-accusations !! Where is it taking the country? Yes, we ALL know that there has been corruption at high levels and because we ALLOWED corruption from the time of JRJ the level and volume of PLUNDERING is mind-boggling. The only way out is for the Civil Society, comprising of ordinary folk who vote, both rich and poor, from the business community, professionals, teachers, planters, blue and white collar workers to ALL conduct a day of silent protest. No radio and TV, no sports, not clubs, let all hospitals close, no transport: just say NO MORE. Either be decent and honest or get out.

Because you seems to be one of those rare breeds here, who is interested to find out where this Lot has taken us so far, besides Mahendran , Batalanada Rranil and Bodhi Sira’s Bond Scams, , please read the latest Report card of Mr Moody on the Yahapalana Economy.

If this is my old friend Granville – that respected senior businessman and Trade Chamber man, I can understand his disenchantment with the Rajapakses and Yahapaalanaya rogues ruining the country’s depleting meagre finances. Like many of us, Granville can see the present and future of the country destroyed by the Rajapakse rogues. The Rajapakses
mortgaged the present and future generations to massive foreign debts. The Yahapaalanaya lot is only slightly better. That is because many of the Rajapakse rogues are now in the Yahapaalanaya team.

The country is slowly sliding to the fate of once prosperous Zimbabwe – that suffered the worse case of inflation for nearly 4 decades under that uncaring despot and dictator – Mugabe. While the lower middle class and the poor here see their lot worsening daily making even meeting daily food bills at home very difficult, the middle class and the middle-class – including land-owning classes – see their present and future dangerously compromised. No longer can a middle class family enjoy the comfort of owning even a 3-year used car. Even a modest Indian-made new car costs over Rs.3 million today. How many can afford this? While JRJ’s UNP built a large number of new middle between 1977-1988 Mahinda Rajapakse dealt this class a fatal blow. Very soon Sri Lanka will lose most of its educated young.

I hope many more of Granville Perera’s standing will stand up and protest.

billions were whacked off due to this scam.It is not only arjun aloysious who got such a large sum of money. So many have shared the plunder.Only a small portion would have gone to pay election bills and that too bills to their cronies who will give back half of it back to those who gave them the contracts.

election bills are a great way to escape the law because you can say that these went for election expenses, but if you look ate what are these so called election expenses that run into billions you will have a good laugh. Are proper tender procedures and multiple quotes etc received when giving the order?everything comes back into the pocket of someone who awarded the inflated contracts. All this was possible because of puppet mahendran.

the best thing to do is to arrest puppet mahendran and put him in jail. Then one by one the puppet masters also will be found out when he implicates them.

To do that obviously we have to have another regime change. This time we can call it something fancy like booruwapalanaya. Then when booruwapalanaya also plunders the country we can have a regime change again modayapalanaya.

who cares where the money went.the country has to pay 40 billion rupees more for the first bond issue when the interest rates were increased by 2%.Most of the primary dealers had submitted bids at the max 10.5% level and we could have got whatever money from those bids and closed the auction.Instead we took more money from perpetual trustess who had bid @ 12.5 %.If this is not corruption what is?

I don’t know how much we more we have to pay back for the second bond issue he did recently, but the fact remains all the young ones will have to one day pay back these billions we had borrowed at higher interest rates than necessary.

The rajapakshes also did it getting dollar denominated loans from the chinese at exorbitant 8% interest rates, when the market for USD loans was 3%.Not only that they used for unproductive assets in hambantota.I feel very sorry for the younger generation in this country which has t pay back all these plunder.

Its interesting how the writer takes every opportunity to blame MR for all the stupid decisions this government has made. he says Arjun aloysius was the one to do the dirty work yet makes sure to say he was a former Rajapaksha side kick. Lately a lot of rajapaksha side kicks seems to be associated with the UNP/government. The writer keeps saying Rajapaksha stole billions. Its been how long now since sirisena, dath dosthara, patali and the UNP made up that story? A year and a half? where’s the loot? a whole country backed by presidential and government patronage are looking for this loot and nobody seems to have a clue where it is. wow indeed. It’s starting to look a lot like it was a fabricated story now don’t you think? i mean, you must be a die hard hater of MR as is the case with most of CR readers. But even you should be getting the feeling that something is wrong here. The front runners of the MY3 campaign patali, dath dosthara and SF all has been crucified by the people for various crimes they’ve committed. Ofcourse they are roaming about Scot free, but that’s yahapalanaya for you. And it seems more and more like Ranil is losing the full capability of his noggin, what with all the stupid comments and things he’s been telling and doing recently. And yet, there’s no end to the MARA haters in CR. wow indeed :D

woW, you must be a diabolic mutt to believe that this writer or anyone in Sri Lanka would insult our war winning president. He is whiter than while and cleaner than s white sparrow but his ass hole is full of shit that will soon hit the fan. Then, theruwan saranai, or aba saranai

      • 0
        0

all talk no facts mate. They keep saying the word “soon” for one and a half years now. Still waiting. I don’t have any delusions that MR is innocent. Yes, he probably stole, yes he is a thug. Point is, the amounts he allegedly stole doesn’t add up. Any politician steals, that’s how politics work in SL. However, the exorbitant amounts he had allegedly stolen is all looking to be a fabricated story. We have a president who denies what he said the day after he said it. We have a government who had no intention of delivering on its election promises. Considering all the lies they have told to get into where they are now, the fabrication story doesn’t seem that much of a far fetched theory. The inability of the government is evident. The economy is going to the dogs, and as a mutt, like you said, i should be thankful ;) we saw progress in the country for the past 10 years. i know i know, the government says it was all a lie, and that all the records including world bank and IMF records have been altered to show the false appearance of growth. But, hey we are progressing now right? the dollar rate is going up by the second. Not a single development project is underway, but our esteemed primeminister is doing everything in his power to undo what the previous government destroyed (including the LTTE). The bond scam thing is only a means to get that progress underway. How much bullshit can you keep believing? i mean, its been long past the time we’ve given the government the benefit of the doubt. Those retards are destroying the economy and all they do is keep blaming the previous government. So yeah, its aba saranai already

I do agree with you Mr Granville Perera. However RWs capabilities of running this country to prosperity is very doubtful. He had been a senior minister for sometime though he spent majority of his life in the opposition. his contribution to the nation is almost zero. There is no comparison to the greats like Lalith and Gamini .

    • 2
      0

This is typical lanken way of thinking. They talk about Lalith AND Gamini… but why not the others cant work like them ? We can have new N M Pereras in us… or not ?
Who would else lead us to prosperity according to you ? I believe new UNP men are uncorrupted young chaps. They deserve a chance to turn this nation to good. All that follow the path of Mahinda should be away from the scence. Given the choice, I would never say yes to ALibaba and 40 thieves. He has taken this nation to all unethical and unmoral levels. Roads and construction are just make-up only. But looking at the manner Media Mafia avoid reporting the most due, make me very clear, Rajaakshe are born criminals and they can live on the poor for their fantasies. If Majority would reelect him, we will end up building an another Sudan. I beleive, lanken Press men should drastically change their stance. The entire nation expects them to support for a better future. I believe, if the media would play expected 3 force role of the nation, not being biased but being so pragmatic to all factfuls – nothing cant go wrong. Guidance is all through social media today.

  • 7
    1

Some pigs who are commenting here still do not understand what Granville Perera is saying in plain language. The desperate fight to remove MARA was a last ditched galauda satana which meant life and death for many of the active members of the fight and in general dooms day for the rest of the Sri Lankans. Had MARA won there would have been all sorts of international pressures, economic embargoes, war crime inquiries, trade and travel barriers and bans, unassailable Chinese colonization and orientation of the country making SL a victim of international power politics, colossal tax burdens on general public, chronic and system-wide corruption, malpractices, inefficiency, crimes, lawlessness, impunity and injustice.

The difference in the quality of contemporary freedom fights in SL and elsewhere is clearly visible in post-freedom situations in SL and elsewhere like in Arab Spring wherein while SL is making progress those countries are going down from turmoil after turmoil. The difference lies in the leadership of the fight that is RW. The nucleus of this revolution is RW around whom everything revolves-the MS factor, Chandrika, Hela Urumaya, Sobitha, civil activists, the fall outs from Rajapaksha vote base, the floating votes, the professionals and the educated, the business community and most importantly the international community all ascended the platform on which RW stood. It is not that RW alighted MS’s platform! MS ate hoppers with MARA, wore a new and clean national robe, escaped parliamentary premises and hurried at the place RW phoned him to travel to for conducting the media conference announcing his Presidential Candidacy.

During all these years after Chandrika shot at Sri Lanka the first shot of destruction by destroying RW’s government using presidential powers, it was RW who valiantly protected this UNP platform which was the final battleground upon which MARA was obliterated from Sri Lankan political sphere. RW had unique and uncommon political talents and shrewdness to withstand the most rigorous political hurricanes and still emerge victorious. It is this quality of intrinsic statesmanship and incorruptible character that makes him the leading political crusader he is today.

His duty and responsibility is by no means fulfilled as yet. In fact the contemporary Sri Lanka in its historical evolution in the backdrop of world politico-economic order is only seeing the advent of RW to the arena. All these years of his political volcanic exposures went only to the making of this great leader and the results are yet to reach the point of fruition. For that fruition to take place he must be allowed to plant the seeds of good governance, of a clear and able constitution, of basic rights and freedoms, of correct policies, short term and long term plans, of good intra-ethnic and intra-nation harmonies and mutually beneficial existence. To this end Sri Lankans of all nationalities have to transcend their nationalistic, tribal, traditional, sectarian, animal instinctive and extremist barriers that have conditioned their minds, personal and collective consciousness and national actions, gestures and reactions.

They say AM may have turned a blind eye while a few billions may have been drained out into paying of ExitMara campaign money. Well, what all of you are going to do about it? Scarifies AM who has forsaken a lucrative career in response to a call of duty for the motherland which is undergoing post destruction resurrection period? Where did this money go? Aren’t you all part of and benefited from this money? Hasn’t all this money gone-at least a major part of it, into securing the lives of you, your wives and children from a behemoth that for years has eaten into the very psyche of this nation? Hasn’t his money gone into do justice for those 200 girls raped by the Galle area PS politician who enjoyed impunity under MR? Hasn’t his money imparted at least a shadow of justice to the lives secretly and criminally murdered and buried forever under the veils of pseudo-heroism, pseudo-nation-savior fiasco and phantom international enemy?

A prostitute sells her body and feeds her only child because her husband has abandoned her high and dry in high seas. The child somehow survives miraculously. The telltaling fishes narrate the prostitute story to the child but not the story written in her blood and veins. The child is now so angry for she had desecrated the hallowed values of motherhood and now set to slaughter the spring that gave him birth and life. The scavenging fishes are now supremely happy that they have skillfully masterminded the coup and any casualty will feed their hungry bellies! “Is AM going to be the sacrificial lamb?”

They are talented to paint it in favour of them. No matter their god fathers even raped them so brutally- as nothing could help… that is the nature of this punnakung eating men and women. That are the majority of this island nation. Across the island, they take the lead. Even simple simons have big thoughts today – but not focuing on the contents. Can you imagine Silva.. The expose is certainly plausible and needs further discussion. The money market in Sri Lanka has been manipulated by every possible government in history. No one really understands how easy it is to rob on bond issues, if all the players play ball. I do not belive that Arjuna Mahendran was brought up in a culture of this unscrupulous lot, but he shows gratitude for the small mercies Ranil Wickramasinghe bestowed on his bum sucking father. Now, its time he paid for his fathers sins.

This granville is a traitor to yahapalana. He has inside information and has betrayed the silent revolution of the people. Ranil Wickramasinghe did not steal for himself, but to save the nation from the brutal rule of the Rajapaksa evil forces. MR had billions of stolen money and the UNP had no dime. Me as a Muslim will stand by Ranil because he castrated the gadasara by throwing out the MR regime. I wish someone will bring Granville to Galle face and whip him.

Calm down. I did not say this campaign money settlement did happen using bond stolen money. It was only a hypothesis since this whole bond issue is based on hypothesis. You have to prove it to believe. There is another fact too circulating around these people do not know which is UNP including MS received enough money to run the campaign from interested big wigs. You can guess who these big wigs are when listening to allegations MR faction level against UNP. For those big wigs those billions are nothing.

Granville is probably an insider who knows it all and the story is planted to give Arjuna Mahendran an exit. I am sure he will resign before he is kicked out. Ranil might send him to Washington DC as ambassador or get him a top position in the world bank

  • 1
    0

One may not claim Arjuna Mahendran innocent. That kind of theories is not accurate. There are million dollars stolen from Central Bank. Arjuna Mahendran did not stand with Central bank. Again, it is only Lankawe’s Central Bank. There is no morale for us to cry. Watchers may tell it is only crocodile tears for Tamil Eelam citizen to worry about Lankawe’s Central Bank. But still for the shake of talk, Mahendran did know when he was taking such a responsible job that he has a duty to protect people’s money. He failed on that duty. If it was out of his control, when he went to Singapore, should have sent the resignation letter back to Lankawe. But he was attracted by the Inchcape Rock. So he came back by persuaded by the baiters’ sweet talk. I doubt that he put anything in his pocket. An international employee like him would not have done such a sheepish thing and would think to return back to a tough country like Singapore. At the higher end, he opened up the Bank’s safe to Yahapalanaya goons to loot the Bank. At the lower end, he turned a blind eye to Aloysius robberies. Mahendran is not innocent. But at the level of robberies taking place and took place with pull impunity, his part on this is only a mouse in front of an elephant.

Mahenran might have thought, for whatever the role he was playing for Yahapalanaya Government, Ranil may protect him. Ranil promised to the Old Royals to protect them. He has fulfilled that promise at mountainous cost for the country and with serous bad name for him. Those who supported him, normally the above average education received people, earnestly thought that he will turn around this robbery and looting culture that had has persistently plagued the country from 1948. They failed to read the fine print behind his promise of “No leader, No Commander and no soldier will be prosecuted”. They did not read from that promise that if he investigate the financial frauds, he has to investigate the private murders and he has to investigate the crimes against Tamils and the genocide. In total he has given total impunity for all. This might have misguided Mahendran and may have helped him to hallucinate with an empty stomach and no associated addictions. It is unlikely LTTE Tamil Mahendran having had a thought of LTTE Kathirgamar, who after doing that kind of service to wipe out LTTE for Chandrika, she has not one single day talked about his murder in public, irrelevant of she could not save him as she had lost her EP power at that time. LTTE IGP was accused of Thajudeen murder and fired from the job. Any further investigation in Thajudeen murder is going to implicate him in that and he is going sit next to Pillaiyan under the PTA. Mahendran’s foolishness to earn some name has put him under strong grip of Old Royals. This is an extra Ordinary success for Old Royals. Ranil defeated them for corruption. Yet not one employee of them had to resign or be removed, but they have forced Ranil’s employee to leave for corruption. But if he is removed for corruption, his future carrier is going to be suffering worse than Kathirgamar’s end. It will be a murder while walking around with the full body.

Mahendran did know where he was going what he will be doing as the governor of Central bank. He had opportunity to tell Aloysius what not to do. He could have stayed in Singapore without coming back last July. He could have killed the Yahapalanaya government for not investigating the fraud ridden Central Bank by releasing all the Central Bank documents, legally or illegally. Instead of UNP appointed lawyers representing him, he could have faced himself the Supreme Court and told there what going in CB is. That would have given him a safe exit. Now his situation is like “Caught a tartar”. He cannot stay in the job. He cannot Leave Lankawe. If he leaves without pay back, Aloysius will put on the UN electric.

LTTE IGP is gone. LTTE Mahendran is going. Puppet Sripavan’s turn will soon come. Let the Puppet Sripavan to take a clean bath, dress in washed & dried cloths and come and sit in front of the altar so that the Old Royals sward can swing.

The story may be true soon after the Sirisena victory, but the issues that have cropped up in our CB since then are dangerous and amounts to total corruption and nepotism. Perpetual holdings should not have been involved as the son in law of Arjuna plays the pivotal role in their investments. So, Arjuna is not innocent and should be investigated. But on the other hand, if the government machinery was involved, who takes responsibility? Ranil, Maithri or Ravi. Either way, this will soon blow up and the legitimacy of the good governance concept would be seriously challenged.
