Assess The Public Sentiment Through An Election !

By Mahinda Rajapaksa

Mahinda Rajapaksa

Mahinda Rajapaksa

It is now 19 months since a new president was elected and the prime ministership was handed over to the UNP. The whole nation is in a situation of uncertainty. Chaos reigns in the administration and financial management of the country. Even in institutions like the Treasury where dissent has been unheard of, officials have declined to perform certain functions. There is dissent in revenue collecting agencies such as the Customs and the Inland Revenue Department. Unrest is brewing in the Labour Department. Earlier we saw paddy cultivators and farmers taking to the streets. Professional groups were demonstrating at Lipton Circus. The business community organised hartals in towns across the country. In the midst of all this the government has postponed the local government elections indefinitely.

Having postponed elections, the government has been engaged in an effort to show that they still have public support by transporting people to political meetings so as to claim that they too have crowds just like the Joint Opposition. This is the first time that I have seen a government competing with the opposition in this manner. The way I assessed public sentiment was by holding elections. But the present government is trying to avoid holding elections at any cost. Recently when the Supreme Court took up a petition against the postponement of elections, eleven interventient petitioners emerged from nowhere to make representations as to why the local government elections should be postponed.

We have been hearing only complaints from this government. They say they have no way of holding the local government elections. They say the economy is in a state of crisis and that they have reluctantly had to impose various burdens on the people and they say that I am to blame for all the difficulties they have had to face.

Leaders of this government have been asking me through the media why I held the presidential election early. They have been trying to convince the people that I called an early election because I was aware that the country would be facing an unprecedented economic crisis by 2015 and that I wanted to consolidate myself in power before the crisis came out into the open. They have been trying to conceal their incompetence by repeating such claims at every opportunity they get. The yahapalana leaders say it was not my astrologer who persuaded me to call an early election but Dr P.B. Jayasundera my treasury secretary. I am quite amused by such stories.

Some of the top leaders of this government were cabinet ministers in my government. An impending economic crisis is not something that can be concealed especially from those wielding power at cabinet level. If somebody was sitting in the cabinet and running a key ministry and still was unaware of the economic situation in the country, how can such a person run the country?

I held the 2015 presidential election early for the same reasons that every other president has called early elections. President J.R. Jayewardene held an election more than a year early in 1982. President Chandrika Kumaratunga held the 1999 presidential election one year early and I too held the 2010 presidential election early. Even though the yahapalana leaders claim that an economic crisis was imminent at the time the 2015 presidential election was held, the exact opposite was true in fact. By the end of 2014, we were in the middle of an unprecedented economic boom. The economy had grown at an average of over 7% for five years, the value of the rupee had been held steady in the Rs. 127-130 range for more than three years, our foreign reserves at 8,200 million USD was the highest in post independence history.

In 2005 when I assumed office foreign reserves were just 2,200 million USD. During my tenure, there was a large inflow of foreign investment. In 2014 alone, investments amounting to 1,700 million USD came into the country. Unemployment averaging at around 4.3% in the last five years of my administration was the lowest ever recorded. The level of indebtedness of a country is measured as a percentage of the GDP. When Ranil Wickremesinghe was the Prime Minister in 2004, indebtedness stood at 102%. But by the end of 2014, we had managed to reduce this to 70%. That was the lowest level of indebtedness since 1979. While achieving such discipline, we initiated a very successful development program in the country.

I was able to allocate sufficient funds to win the war that was thought to be unwinnable. I was able to ensure the territorial integrity of the country, to develop the economy and also to provide the people with many welfare measures all at the same time. Yet at the same time we kept reducing the level of indebtedness of the country year by year. Many analysts have described this as an economic miracle. To say that this country was facing a debt crisis by the end of 2014 is a barefaced lie.

We did take loans to build infrastructure but these were carefully phased out so that repayments could be made without difficulty. In the six years from 2009 to 2014 our foreign and local debt payments every year could be carried out without any difficulty. During my tenure as president did anybody hear us complaining that we didn’t have money to repay our debts, build infrastructure, fight the war, carry out welfare work or pay state sector employees? We faced the world’s worst recession in eight decades in 2008. All over the world, banks collapsed. Oil prices skyrocketed during our tenure in office, and there was a global food crisis in 2007. Even in the midst of such crises, the reason why we could do all that we did was because of our superior economic management.

In fact Sri Lanka came in for praise by the IMF in 2014 for maintaining ‘solid’ growth, and for our ‘resilience’ even in turbulent global market conditions. When the IMF gave Sri Lanka a loan of 2,900 million USD in 2009 in the wake of the world economic recession, they did not impose any conditions on Sri Lanka that would have caused hardship to the people. But when the yahapalana government obtained a loan of 1.5 billion USD from the IMF in June this year, they had to fulfill certain strict preconditions to obtain the first tranche of the IMF loan. The international lending agencies saw the reckless manner in which the yahapalana government destabilised the economy in a matter of weeks and months which is why they imposed strict conditions on Sri Lanka.

All the economic problems of the yahapalana government are due to the fact that they bribed voters with salary increases and price reductions in order to win the 2015 August parliamentary elections. They thought only of winning the elections, not about how they would manage the country after winning. This election related largesse set off a chain reaction which began with the loss of control over government expenditure, and an increase in the budget deficit. The level of indebtedness which had been going down began rising again. By the end of 2015, the debt to GDP ratio had gone up to 76%. Even though our level of indebtedness rose, everyone knows that no development took place in the country.

The money thrown around to win the election resulted in an increase in imports. Seeing the recklessness of the new government, foreign investors began withdrawing their money and leaving Sri Lanka. Very little new investment came. All this gave rise to balance of payments difficulties. This in turn caused the depreciation of the rupee and necessitated the use of foreign reserves to shore up the currency, thus depleting our reserves. As the government borrowed more to meet increased expenditure, and also due to the bond scam which the Prime Minister is trying to sweep under the carpet, interest rates rose by about sixty percent and the government ended up having to pay more interest on the loans already taken thus increasing the government debt burden. This is why we find ourselves in an economic crisis today.

Even though this government claims that they have won over the whole world, no foreign investment is coming in. The yahapalanites called China an economic predator. Yet now they are going to China on their bended knees. Now they are praising the Port City, Hambantota port and airport. The only worthwhile investment taking place even now are the infrastructure projects that my government initiated.

In the meantime this government has been borrowing heavily to meet increased government expenditure. Every time I address the public in this manner the level of foreign loans taken has increased so I have to keep updating the figures. The yahapalana government borrowed 2,300 million USD from India, 3,600 million USD through sovereign bond issues, 3,100 million USD through Sri Lanka Development Bond issues and 1,500 million USD from the IMF, bringing the total foreign borrowings to 10,500 million USD in just eighteen months. Experts predict that our debt to GDP ratio will increase to 82% by the end of this year. It was only 70% when I left office. The government is now in a debt trap of their own making.

Now the government is trying to increase taxes on the people to repay the money they borrowed since coming into power. They have given an undertaking to the IMF that they would do so. However when they try to implement these pledges given to the lending agencies, the business community, the ordinary public and the trade unions rise up in revolt. However the proposal to increase VAT has not yet been shelved. Cabinet has now approved a new VAT Bill to be submitted to parliament. We have to remain vigilant.

People are turning more and more towards the Joint Opposition as the government fails to perform and deliver on its pledges. The part of the SLFP that is in the government will not be able to escape blame for the failings and the misdeeds of the government they serve in. Trying to portray themselves as anti-UNP while serving with the UNP in the same government, will not deceive the people any more.

When the so called national unity government celebrated their first anniversary in Matara, the present leader of the SLFP said he will try to continue this marriage between the UNP and a part of the SLFP beyond 2020. However at the 65th anniversary celebrations of the SLFP held in Kurunegala the SLFP leader said that an SLFP government will be formed in 2020. But when he attended the UNP’s 70th anniversary meeting the SLFP leader said that these two parties can continue on this journey together. It’s not surprising that UNP supporters cheered heartily when the present leader of the SLFP who took the prime ministership away from the SLFP led UPFA which had more than 150 seats in parliament and gave it to the UNP which had only 46 seats, arrived at the UNP’s 70th anniversary ceremony.

We in the Joint Opposition are opposed to this hybrid government. We have no journey to make clinging on to the tail of the elephant. Many people have asked me whether a new political party is going to be formed to contest the next election. A political party is only a legal framework. The most important factor is that there is a political formation opposing the government. The main challenge facing the Joint Opposition at this stage is to have the indefinitely postponed local government election held. This matter is now before the Supreme Court and we are awaiting the outcome of that process. In the meantime, we wish to impress upon the government the need to immediately hold the local government elections which have already been postponed by more than one year.

Thank you.

MR, Do you want this Government to get more entangled in the Huge Debt They inherited from You?

Do you not remember the Massive Cost to the Government of an Election?

Media men should contact him for an open dialogue/discussion so that most correct former Prez to prove that he has been clean as he reiterate, if the discussions rounds would end up in vain for, him, then he has to cut his throat as promised before.

Let alone today, he has to agree as to why he went to 2 year-earlier to hold last elections

      a) If accordingl to him, all went well, whyhe did so – by this Nov 2016, he could stay in power

      b) Were all diplomatic relationships that sound to be able to face it further ? He has to prove… then why the billa making programs were ahead of him while the election date were being announced. Ballige putha Wimal Weerawanse to go for MR s agendas – meaning fooling the very same nation further why does he do so if he really loves thiscountry ?

      c) If you further say, that you are the president to tackle thejob to eleiminate the terror within the country, please prove your diplomatic knowledge in the days to come – to prove the innocience as SF and all others are now on their way to do so

      d) let alone today, you guys should be honest.. else, this nation will curse on you …

      e) Not only Prabakaran, you the former president too, does the job well in terms of abusing lanken folks as your human shields.

If the man can go to Temples for not important ceremonies why cant the media yet fail to contact him for a discussion.

Journos can prepare well for the topics of highly interest since his repeated prevarificatons can only lead to confusions.

He dares to say today that the new govt failed to manage the budget deficit and the reason them to face a crisis is not because of his loans but because of mismanagement.

Who to be trusted on here ?

      Mahinda Rajapaksa,

RE: Assess The Public Sentiment Through An Election !

You are counting on the Fools, Modayas and Fools still being ignorant.

Unfortunately, they are still learning about you, your family and cronies.

The Public Sentiment is to bring the criminals to justice, like Duminda Silva, punish them for their crimes, recover stolen money and goods, and move on.

What goes through his head actually ?

Why cant he make his mind up yet after being goo defeated in and out of country ?

      He is now 70years
He has to leave from politics. If asked only he should even become a senior to SLFP. As was the case with former leaders, why cant he stay awway from active politics ?

What has he been doing is beyond all standards: Perhaps more similar to that of Zimbabwe man – who governs for the last 30 years that country… but his tactics are also common those of Rajakashe for sure.
BBS and their performance under the guide of MR regime was similar to the manner Zimbabwe man does to depict it against minority whites in that country.

We should be focus the politics shaped up by Nelson Madela to South Africa. That can help us further. Nelson Mandela left politics after serving 4-5 years. He paved the way to the next. He was no greedy, but our men being gummed to lanken selfish programs, regardless of what those Malwathuchapter Priests say – just go for his revengeful agendas being unable to digest his defeat.

People rejected him -not once twice one behind the other… so what more chances he should get – besides it is not at all good for his dignity if he further goes after and after…

Like a sex abusive men go to Prostitutes on a regular manner, Rajakshes indulgency to lanken politics has been a new form of headache to all that can think beyond.

        Mr. Simon de Silva,
Do you realize that both D. J. Trump and H. Clinton is almost 70 and that by the time Mandela became the President of SA he was 74? And what do you mean by “..Zimbabwe man does to depict it against minority whites in that country”? If you really must comment try to take a point from the article and then argue against it, that is much more effective than spewing out rubbish.

          Inconvenient Truth,
I am not sure I have gone through his article, but the regardless of the age, man is no fit for shaping up the nation. That he proved in the aftermath of the war.

If you are honest to you you will see the way I see it, no any single represenative made by him to external affairs can be considered as okay. Tht is the reason the regime to be cornered until end of 2014.
Leaving Mugabe politics aside, why 6.3 Millions rejected him should rather be focused than trying to return to power. That can help you the ilk more than the others.

Mahinda must go and live in Africa. He will be comfortable living with despots and dictators. Birds of a feather flock together.
i.e. like the way he went to Uganda. Part of the robbed loot of the country is also stashed away in Uganda.

Bloody rogue. Hated by all. Vile man.

This man even if he has been lanken parliamatary politics for the last 4 decades, his guesses are miles away from the voters. That he got crystal clear in last two elections, but his power intoxicated mind set seems not allowing him to relinquish. This has now become syndrome unique to him.

How a Presdent could fall that deep – will be becoming clearer day to another.

Ranjan, if you are intoxicated by power, you would not know what you have been doing. That is the best example to see the nature of Mahinda.

For what purpose he should bear a seat in Parliament today if not for any other devious agendas that to follow next….

As history says, in any case, President or Premier would be assasianted by nature or a plot – then he can just jump onto the seat easily… This man s real face is far from understanding to anyone yet. Devious as no other in south asian region.

No self repsect at all – he can even stroll naked if all is given to return to power.
These men are GOrakayas that would never change the person.

    Argument and counter argument;

that’s how people want it; making statements in regular intervals by both sides is of no use.

So why shouldn’t we go for TV debates? Mahinda vs Maithree, Mahinda vs Ranil etc.

People will forget VAT, COL etc..etc for some time making the GG smooth flowing.

Thank you for the good work you did by wiping out Tamil Terrorism and defeating them after others including Generals who were in the Army before you, FAILED. Thank you for giving Sarath Fonseka the extension that Chandrika Kumaratunge refused to give him in 2004. This enabled a situation where political-logistical-military policies were synchronous and working together to defeat the terrorists who have lied and cheated at every peace talk before.

However, the big mistake you made was your greed for power and making this about family rule. We understand you were paranoid about the dirty backstabbing your immediate predecessor engaged in but you were loved by the majority of the people. To this date, you remain the most charismatic leader. But you went overboard with the avarice and your blatant nepotism and appointing loyalists with no qualifications or skills to rape and plunder the nation’s wealth. You were good at being loyal to people who served you but you also did not care what happened to the nation when you went on your pathetic egomanical exercises of wasting funds building airports, stadiums and harbours. You became like Mugabe and Gadaffi: both vainglorious people who had once had good intentions and good ideas.

Your arrogance was in letting your sons run amok. You then believed all unBuddhistic pathetic Talisman, blackmagic, voodoo crap. You believed in horscopes and auspicious times. You are to be blamed for calling the election when you would still be President today if you did not call for an early election. All the puppets including Maithripala Sirisena robbed and made money : otherwise who does Sirisena have money to send his 2 of his kids to London like Chandrika did?

Then there was gathering resentment and dissension. You tried to silent dissent by blocking Colombo Telegraph too. But you failed to realize the power of social media and twitter. You failed to see what happened in Tunisia.

So then you also allowed your in-laws and cousins like Jaliya to rape and plunder. All in all you had a bunch of fake patriotic jingoistic fools being your slavish worshippers like you were a GodKing. You FORGOT you were a democratic freedom fighter for human rights at one time. Gota did a lot of great work but also became arrogant. Basil was utterly corrupt and everyone knows who a man who failed his OLevels became a dollar Billionaire. So STOP your breast-beating man. STOP IT. YOU HAD done GREAT WORK but your time has come and gone. Be graceful like JRJ and retire and go home. You made enough money. If Namal earns a place in politics let him do so on his own.

Many people said “if only you were not so greedy for power, we would have hailed you like a hero and sent you home with a worthy farewell, but that you decided to be greedy and grab power for life” . A lot of people also do not seem to care you were corrupt because things were getting done unlike under the Ponna Regime now where it is all talk and no action. Look at how the same people who shouted about corruption gave the Kotte Flyover to ACCESS group without open bidding. Somewhere somebody got a few million dollars in this UNP Government. We all know Ravi K types are amu horas.

Having said all that , Mr. Rajapakse, I still voted for you all 3 times because me and my family were persecuted by UNP murderous thugs. My relatives were burnt alive in the dooshana beeshana period. So take time off and ponder about where you went wrong. Fix what can be fixed and admit to people about the highway robberies you allowed your people to carry out in the name of development. We are sick of these ponnayas and debauched homosexual leaders we have now, but we are NOT READY for you. You need to be like the other former Presidents from Gopallawa, Wijetunge, Jayawardene who retired and went home. Do not be like Chandrika shooting her mouth off all the time and lying and wanting revenge on you. No one takes her seriously even when shes good things now. She tried to use Sarath Silva to remain in power and that boomeranged when she was kicked out an year earlier than she would have liked to. So no Sir, you will NOT win an election. You will LOSE bigtime to your arch nemesis the UNP.

You may be right to some extent, but we are thankful to Chandrika, Late golden Son of the nation -Sobith Thero, various civil society groups, JVPers, UNPers and all that worked diehard to chase away this ruler who looted this nation being unable to beahve normal after the war is over. He thought they the Rajakaaspkes were to eat the entire cake making them very important to have done the job well interms of eleimination of terror within the country. But we perfectly know that teh collectivity with his lead as a head of state earned that victory.
Very same men to have failed to achieve anything towards the reconciliation of all folks inthe aftermath of the war – truly proves the inablitiy of the person – i KNOW our folks are easily manipulative. But that has now become teh prey for those greedy politicians to live up their pervert in politics. The poor were made even poorer. Handful of men and women were made MULTI MILLIONAIREs letting them abused all the state funds but telling the palatable to the poor who are really in need. IT IS LIKE KILLING SOME ONE AND ENJOY ON THEIR DEAD BODIES.
The poor have to bear the burden today by being reluctantly subjected to high taxes, but Rajakashes do their same game in and out of the country. Believe or not, no politicians have fallen to the level of Rajakshe to this date in this country.

Wow Mr Rajapakse, are you in a make believe world of fantasy or do you expect your audience to be living in one?

Your claims of foreign investment, reduction of debt & reserves is pretty impressive but are you showing us the real picture? Are you sure the ‘investments’ & reserves were not made up of loans or aid? Did Cabraal didn’t ive you this information? This man Rajano is hallozinated by the claimed war victory. He still feels his magical powers allowed it, but nobody else would not have achieved it….. that mislead him on and on. Then his Hamuduruwos where he step in make him even more fools. That is why his attraction is often seen to temples. And in the same time, he knows very well, if Hamuduuruwos would see it black and white why not their stupid adherents. This game has been on and on being instrumental getting the gulliable folks brainwashed again and again.
But what wonder s me is – even if he is now early 70ties, he has not made his mind up so that he should rather become normal kind hearted fellow to all others not to him. Again and again just because of the greediness to return to politics, to merrygo round this way will no means good for him neither to anyone.
It is like he has been trying to cut his neck by him –

If any respect and dignity towards him is remained, that to keep further he has to work on good rather than revengeful devious agendas. God help this man.

To The People Of GREECE: We have a “SUPPER HUMAN ECONOMIC WIZARD” for “Export”. Would you like to make a”Bid”? His “Achievements” for this country are appended in the above “Resume”. In “Selling” him, we have placed before you one example of our achievements, which I believe would interest you most: “The money thrown around to win election resulted in an increase in imports”. Yes, we did it. We spent Rs. 600 million to distribute “Sil Redy” (Devotees Clothes) during the last Presidential election (he was a candidate) and that triggered a huge import. So as a Nation who needs “Imports” urgently to even meet day to day essentials for your survival, here is an “EXCELLENT PRODUCT” from Sri Lanka. Please don’t have any misgivings of this time tested and discarded product that some of our adversaries love to talk and prevent it been exported. If you don’t grab this offer, we would be “GIFTING” it to China; because USA still could not find a long range “MISSILE” to destroy that country. We are confidant; USA will love that and withdraw all charges of “Violation of Human Rights” and “Charges against our war heroes”. Can’t help; this “Miracle Man” will also be freed of those charges; yet we are glad to DISPENSE with it. Good for our economy to “Get Rid” of it as otherwise it is a again a “Huge Cost” to maintain this “Discarded Product”. Any other OFFERS are welcome.

Mr. Rajapaksa, you belong in the dustbin of history. Please do all ordinary Sri Lankans a big favour by staying there permanently. We have had enough of you and your henchmen. You assessed the public sentiment twice through the presidential election and parliamentary election. All the communities gave their verdict.

Do you think you can fool the people again.

Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa, THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX

I said many times that I and the nation must salute you for defeating LTTE terrorist and rescue our nation from anarchy. Thank you. Full stop, and end of your Saga.

You are defeating yourself and defecating in your own pants now, it stinks. You have become an unbearable pain in the political affairs of the country.

It is true and we must accept the present bunch at the seat of power is equally corrupt, dishonest and incompetent. You know very well, it is a game played by you and Ranil. Our question is; for how long and at what cost. Lives of people are at stake. The people will never invite you so you have to forget the chances of you and your family members occupying the seat power again.

Majority despised you so much and decided to elect the other. Not that the other party was loved or likable.

If you truly love unified, unitary and sovereign state, think outside the box on how to rescue the country from the clutches of present government through truly democratic means. You have to be a party to elect an acceptable person to majority of Sri Lankans. You are not that person and currently your inner coterie stinks and there is no body there either.

Think outside the box, you are a good organizer but not a pragmatic politician – Be a party to sponsor a credible, honest, unblemished, energetic visionary to defeat the evil forces occupying the seat of power in Colombo.

My dear Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa that is the only option left for you. Think about it, it is painful to be a broker or a second fiddle. That option is more honorable than being ridiculed as a common criminal. It is the only course available to salvage your lost prestige. THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX

@ Ranbandu….. I like your blog and second it! Add: Giving political leadership and determination to clear the country of terrorism is one thing, but replacing that terrorism with one of MR’s is another; the latter not acceptable. Nor were MR given a blank clearance by people to strip the country’s national assets with his family members, friends and other gangster ministers, mps and provincials. Not acceptable at all! Don’t try to come back, because we know like tigers, you too cannot change your stripes no matter how many times you go after temples and devales.

Mahinda Rajapakse, now at 70, never grow up.

He still thinks he himself and his family is Sri lanka.

Why an election is important now.

What did he do exceptional when he had the govt ?

These are all the signes of a bankrupt politician.

Jim Softy, I thought you would still have been intoxicated by MR et al.

There is a common parlance – kata boru keewath Diwa boru nokiyay – even if mouth would lie, the tongue would never – that reminded me while reading yours. Thanks for your conscience. Or are u reborn ?

Mahinda Jaraapaksa, the stars say you are likely to depart voluntarily for Yamalokha within the next ten/fifteen days.

Why worry about election verdicts – that too is a foregone conclusio: the people hate you ten times more than they did on January 8th 2015.

“The way I assessed public sentiment was by holding elections”
“The yahapalana leaders say it was not my astrologer who persuaded me to call an early election but Dr P.B. Jayasundera my treasury secretary”
So what now, you assessed the public sentiment because your astrologer told you???? LOL, what a laughing stock you are MR!

This guy is a raving lunatic. The country was screwed up by this maniac and family and he has the gall to make such ridiculous and lying statements. The country knows what a crook you are and don’t think the people are gullible to allow a thug and criminal like you to came back to power. Now that the judiciary has been cleaned up and are playing their role correctly you must be shit scared for yourself, family and al the criminals and crooked politicos in the JO who were yore mates. Please start mediation and get ready for a long stint in Welikada for the rest of your life.

If Raja would have thought to develop as a whole country and benefit of the people,he would have develop the Jaffna Pallaly air port and named it on his name we wouldn’t mind it either.

At least to keep your name in good spirit why don’t follow David Cameron he resigned as PM and now resigning from MP too.but he lost his campaign on stay in EU.

Even the LTTE no more but still VP has got some respect among the forces.(but not me though)why his principles right or wrong it’s different matter.

Even the Dr from Kelaniya is learning, you mess the country a lot.

You and VP are parallel,he destroyed the buildings and so many lives.to make it more equal you destroyed the hard earning insituations.this govnt can’t progress because of the mess and gave free hand to all the crooks.why you are not a good leader.all you are good at it dirty dealings.

You build roads but it’s all workers are Chinese.you haven’t give locals any chance on that project.all you were concerned on car racing for the kids of the looters.

Suspend all elections for two years in the national interest so that all the rogues and criminals (financial and political) are arrested and put behind the bars.

Send both Mahinda and Gota to London with all the publicity for the Tiger twits there to taunt them before they are sent to THE HAGUE.

Amude Rajas Wimal Modawanse, Dinesh Goon and the Game Kolla Gamanpulle can join them to beat the drums for them.

i.e. like the way he went to Uganda. Part of the robbed loot of the country is also stashed away in Uganda.

Is the loot left with the former Ambassador to Uganda, V Kananathan,
a man who has failed his A Levels
