Basil Rajapaksa was arrested over his involvement in a financial misappropriation case concerning the Divi Neguma Project. He was arrested when he arrived at the FCID to give a statement over the issue.

Last week, the Attorney General indicted Rajapaksa and three others for misappropriating Rs. 33 million from the Divi Neguma Funds. Following the indictment, a case was filed in the Colombo High Court against Basil Rajapaksa and 3 others for the criminal misappropriation of funds. They had misappropriated the funds during the 2015 Presidential Election.

Rajapaksa will be produced in Court today.

This is the third time Basil has been arrested. In June, he was arrested twice and then released on bail over two land issues in Gampaha and Matara.

What is the point in this publicity? Unless the President cleans up the law enforcement and judicial system the same way as Turkey is doing at present, nothing will come out of this. As long as Rajapaksha “plants” are there at the critical nodal positions in the legislature, administration, judicial and security, nothing will happen to this criminal element. It will end up as just another arrest, the Nth, and nothing more!

If the Yahapal Donkeys can give equal level of importance to development of this country we would have come a long way in the last two years. For all its worth what they can pin on Basil is printing some litha and giving flag poles for Pradeshiya Sabahs. Now somebody even with a pea sized brain in the Yahapal government should realize these tactics are now back firing. Both MY3 and Ranil have become most hated figures in the history of this country most probably after Nandikadal Thambi.

‘Cat and Mouse Act’ was how the British dubbed the Act of Parliament of 1913, to release suffragettes – women fighting for franchise – fasting in prison and becoming weak. They were rearrested when they recouped. Such was the farce.

Sri Lanka plays the same game without enacting any similar Act. Here the act of levity is to dope the citizens.

As we all know that Basil is Innocent like other Rajapaksha’s. All these things because of International conspiracy against Rajapaksha’s. Also western powers are behind this as Hon. Wimal Weerawansa always says.

Anyhow Basil doesn’t need any new mattress as he can use the same mattress used by Namal Rajapaksha as the mattress is old just only 7 days. The same mattress can be used as “Family mattress” in the future.

If Wimal Weerawansa go inside we all should contribute and make a AC room for him in Prison as he is not used for rough living like Rajapaksha’s

Now Joint Opposition can organized another protest saying “VAT Ihalata” “Basil Athulata”

Doctors who are trying to Issue false medical certificates for Basil should be careful this time.

Like foreign judges for probes, the country now needs FOREIGN DOCTORS to recommend hospitalization of high profile prisoners.

To what level of degeneracy the country has sunk.

If Ranil or the President try to save this world #1 crook..international justice team must hurry up and must come down to Sri Lanka..before coming for the white flag case..and put Ranil and the President in international jail.

This seems a coordinated effort of the SLFP president(Maithripala Sirisena), the FCID and the Magistrate to stop the chief architect of the “Pada Yathra” participating in the procession which is to be held on the 28th of July. Keeping Basil in the remand prison will temporarily satisfy the President of the country. What the president should do is to put these rogues in jail permanently and not trying to take full control of the SLFP by using this type of spineless acts. Put all SLFP rogues including all Rajapaksas and your own ministers in Jail permanently please.
