Rosy Senanayake who was a member of the COPE committee under the chairmanship of DEW Gunasekara had given her son the statement made by Kasun Palisena before the Committee. The statement was to be given to Arjuna Mahendran the then Governor. Rosy has also refused to sign the DEW Gunasekara interim COPE report on bond scam.

Call recordings which were deleted at the behest of Perpetual Treasuries (PTL) CEO Kasun Palisena and Arjun Aloysius were played at the Bond Commission today.
The details were revealed during the first phone conversation played which was between the Chief Dealer of PTL Nuwan Salgado and Palisena
In it Palisena instructs Salgado to take the statement from “Rosy ge putha” (Rosies son) and give it to Arjun Mahendran.
Commenting on the nexus between Arjun, Rosy Senanayake’s son and the rest of the cohorts, Justice Prasanna Jayawardena said “the connection is that all of them were alumni from a certain international school”.
All children, including Ravi Karunanayake’s children studied at the Colombo International School, in which during testimony they said that they had met and created relationships.

Aloysius has many cases starting from bribing the then Finance Minister’s wife with a gift package including a luxury apartment and before that a luxury SUV. Ravi K already confirmed that they lived in that apartment which was owned by them later, presumably purchased by same Santa Claus.
As the CIABC well aware, bribes can come in any form, a payment of favours can be in cash or kind, a tip, a gift, perks, free food, free ticket, free house, free vehicle, etc. There was a court case recently where an officer from the CIABC earnestly requested the Courts to give ‘a severe punishment’ to the accused (a field officer who took Rs. 10,000) as ‘a good example to the society’. As a result, he received a 20-year rigorous imprisonment. Very good. Justice was served. Now CIABC can file a case against Aloysius and make ‘an earnest request’ to the Courts to give ‘a severe punishment’ to Aloysius as ‘a good example to the elite society’. I guess Aloysius will get a 100-year rigorous imprisonment as per the same law.
Then the second case which is severe than the previous, as per the evidence emanating from PCoI, Aloysius should be convicted for insider-trading. As per the revelations, a vast insider-trading ring should’ve been in place where many people involved in knowingly. That means there will be cluster of cases. Do we have enough Courts?
The law should be implemented impartially and fairly. Non-implementation of the law also amounts to a violation of fundamental rights of citizens.
PM can take a break by acting as a Ceremonial PM so that President can work towards a corruption free country garnering support from some ‘clean’ UNP MPP too.

But giver departing those to an officer working with him or her is not always bribe. The amount should be proved induced illegal action, and was not demanded by receiver to affect Aloysius. Giver paying tax on the money he/she gave and claiming tax exemption on any applicable donation prove giver’s innocence.
2. Other confusion to you is you are trying to give same Sinhala Jury verdict to giver, what a Judge had slammed on receiver. Did the giver also got 20 years in that case? No.
3. It was Ravi, who told that his wife and daughter obtained the lease from Aloysius – (even that is not directly.) Anytime Ravi’s wife submitting evidence that she needed a home, (even if Ravi had another bungalow and he was occupying it) and she made a legitimate lease (need not to be in writing), then they are free to go. A legitimate lease can be 100% free – Gift. (But IRS may attempt to put a value on the lease to tax). If there is any document is in Ravi’s wife’s name, prosecution wills not benefit out of this deal unless they fully connect Ravi’s wife on the Robbery. Every finger of innocence on her hand is going to bring an exemption for Ravi and Aloysius. You are not providing any new evidences of that property was given as bribe to Ravi seeking his influences directly on the “Central Bank Robbery Case”, but just creating your Sinhala Jury Verdict against Aloysius.
Remember, defense lawyers are paid to contest the accusation.

There are records with customs that he ordered to release many containers without paying Customs Duty. All these amounts to question Ravi K’s integrity. He is not a saint. My stomach starts to churning when I think of how these politicians do things like this without any fear of consequences. Unprincipled politicians have ruined the entire political system. The JVP is not a solution for our ills. They are not saints as they project. It is impossible for the JVP to come to power. Even if they did, they too will out-do the crimes committed by past governments. The JVP is made up of big talkers. Their greatest strength has been to produce orators that become demagogues and die as extremists over time. If not, how come a party that talks fairness to our rural masses fail to resolve their internal differences with their die hard comrade Somawansa Amarasinghe? These JVP MP’s who talk big could not find reasonable accommodation to retain Mr. Amarasinghe’s services. Introducing the skunk to suppress the “stink” is not prudent for this country. I say this after experiencing first hand the irreparable damage that these Trotskian beasts did to this country in the 60’s and 70’s. I was lucky to have survived their inhuman slaughter, chaos and destruction of property in the Southern province. As a result this country lost a significant amount of intellectuals that fled the country in fear and foreseeing a bleak future. At least if we had their services today, we would have been better off as a nation than the rot we have in politics today.
