British Govt. Working To Set Up Sri Lanka Investigation With A Strong Implementation Mandate

Following a recent meeting with Hugo Swire MP Minister of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office; The All Party Parliamentary Group for Tamils (APPG t) represented by Lee Scott MP and Siobhain McDonagh MP (Vice Chair) hosted a meeting yesterday, at Parliament which was addressed by senior representatives from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) in order to receive an update on the proposed resolution to the 25th UNHRC session in March.

British Prime Minister David Cameron

British Prime Minister David Cameron

Issuing a statement the All Party Parliamentary Group for Tamils today said; “Since Sri Lanka has not made any progress on a credible and transparent investigation, it was confirmed that the British Government is working with international partners to set up an Independent International Investigation in the island of Sri Lanka.  The British Government feels that there is a good chance of passing this resolution with the support of the international partners.  The UK is also working with NGOs and other like minded organisations towards this aim.

“It was also agreed that the substance of the resolution should have a strong mandate to implement the recommendations without any further delays, with witness protection for all the victims in order to serve justice and accountability for a long term sustainable peace in the Island.

“The Tamil Community brought up post resolution actions including travel bans and asset freezes for the Sri Lankan government representatives.

“APPG for Tamils is committed to working for the freedom and justice for Tamils and all the people in the Island of Sri Lanka.”

Dharsh, when 90% of the people have an IQ less than 50 and a dictator who came to power by the gun plus the JT’s looking for equality the people can just discuss this-
The JT’s wont let Passa loose his power as president untill he is taken to Den Haag so the Sinhalese cant have a new president.

But the problem for them is that the west will not move as it would like to without India’s approval. JT’s support base is the Dalits of TN and its non starter for Indian support. The BTF invited the then leader of Opposition the Haryana woman (former student of Delhi) and expected support but she wnet back invited Rajapassa and jailed Vaiko- concieted JT’s did not study why haryana made tamil an official language then with drew later (there arnt enough tamils at haryana)
The JT’s said if TN pulls out the govt will fall but to their dismay Manmohan hangs on why so the language issue of TN.
If NaMo wins with a landslide then even if TN wins all 40 seats he wont need TN support. Throughout independent India without UP and Bihar there has not been a government.
The JT’s need to think out of the shell but sadly their support base will not allow them to think above Vaiko class- I feel sorry for them and the decent sinhalese but that is their predicament.
      After indian elections bye!

I think we need to execute all the old timers and start from scratch……all I can see very high level vocabularies but no sense nor higher level thinking.

The more frequent argument here is that….my dad ( UK) is smoking and why shouldn’t I smoke! well why I should I do it, when I know my life is shortened.

Most talking about the past and history. it’s all about what would you do or contribute towards this crisis or to develop Sri Lanka. It is all about revenge and hate. politicians always in need for people like you all for them to benefit from your narrow minded thinking.

Rajash ignore all the idiots….every one is equal in this world, no one is high or low than the other. These people who are criticising British and other western powers, who are main issue for racism and discrimination.. They think just because they are rich, majority and can write English, puts them higher than any one else. These are main reason Sri Lanka and other asian countries are still classed as third world countries, because of the way we think.

Has Cameron gone too far this time?

Did he take h Indian Leaders as a bunch of “yes” men ,because they went against Srilanka last time?.

Does Manmohan want go down as a wimp who bowed down to a British PM who uses the LTTE to score political points and win Tamil vote in the marginals?.?.

Does Sonia want to bow down to the Diaspora who financed the killers of her husband?.

    India is not Tamil Nadu…

By standing up to the British bullies will earn more votes than the LTTE in Tamil Nadu?.

These issues must have been discussed in their meetings , for FM Saulman to come out with his latest statement emphasizing that they are there ,not tell Silanaka what to do, after the 30 years of hardship which the Srilankans have endured?.

Did Cameron count the chickens too early?

Does Manmohan want go down as a wimp….

he is already one he is Sonia’s poodle
      ——————-

Does Sonia want to bow down to the Diaspora who financed the killers of her husband?.

No Sonia wants bow down to either Karunanidhi or Amma, she doesnt care who, but who ever comes to power in TN so that Congress can stay in power and she can hold the strings of either her son Rahuls or daughter Priyanks

Sonia is in a quandrary. She wants Rahul to be next PM, at the same time she has to obey her masters in the West, who control her and India through her. She wears saris but her ultimate loyalty is to her white tribes in the West. India has become less Indian since the death of Indira G, and is moving away from non alignment and sound priciples of Nehru under the watch of the Italian-borm woman.

“India has become less Indian since the death of Indira G, and is moving away from non alignment and sound priciples of Nehru under the watch of the Italian-borm woman.”

          FYI

Indra Gi would have carved out Tamil Eelam from Sinhala/Buddhist Eelam, two countries two languages. India violated fifth Bandung principle under Indra Gi which states, “Abstention from intervention or interference in the internal affairs of another country.”

India was part of the Non Alignment movement only in name. When USSR occupied Afghanistan she refused to condemn the occupier.

Bangladesh was carved out from greater Pakistan violating Non Alignment Movement’s second principle which demand’s member countries to pay respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all nations.

As I said earlier you type well however you still remain a stupid ill informed Sinhala/Buddhist Bihari bigot.

Ball Praba.. The cynite capsule was put in place to make to ease death instead of getting tortured and then killed. I do not agree with recruiting the under age ones but to be honest when I was 15 I was more willing to figtht than I was 20. Luckily I had good guidance and became a coward by ignoring the situation and getting involved in my day to day life.

Then I started enjoying when a Ltte kills a SL soldier or attacks a camp and getting angry when innocent Tamils getting bombed/killed and when my house got looted and cousin got executed for no reason other than being a tamil. Then rejoice the retaliation by suicide bombing even when I knew it was majority inncoent Sinhalese are being killed. Then very angry again when Ltte was branded as terrorist, too many tamil people died and Ltte losing the war to the majority 90% by the influence of china, India and ingnored by the western countries.

Well my eyes opened when I came abroad to finish my degree…..

I started looking every one as equal and disgusted with the way I thought…..started opening my eyes towards the bigger picture. The majority of the people who die during the war are poor and inncoent people, for the interest of rich, ambitious and narrow minded leader ship.

I began to learn more by debating and arguing with the older generation, who always brings history to validate the actions and playing the blame game.

Certain things I learned. There will be always decrimination, this due to the fact the world is structured on a hierarchy basis, there will be always some one in the lower level and some one in the higher level (unless if it is a world of my vision, which I am writing a book as a part time hobby – I may need an editor tho lol). Then started understanding how deep is this issue not only in Sri Lanka but all over the world. Then started visiting the scandanivian (quality of life) countries to learn more and still learning, may be my book might get popular when I have my grand children!!

One thing all the Sri Lankans people should understand is that, common people in western countries they look at you us as brown people regardless of if you are an tamil, Sinhalese, Indian, Pakistani, etc.. They think life style is getting poorer is because we are there but that is because they have narrow minded thinking as majority of the Sri Lankans have and they are no different to the people in third world countries plus every layer of people think in different ways regardless of which country you are from.

All I can do is being selfish and take care of my family provide the best i can for future they can have…..then again when I think I’m no different to RP or VP, you need to take a side if you have a vision to build something and succeed.

I agree with you and the the key word here is “provide the best I can “..

We all provide the best so the Children do better than us in life

That is what the Rajapakse regime is doing…they want their children to do better than themsleves. So they are looitng the country and providing perpetual power.

shall we put this down now to parental love?

Britain’s stand at the forthcoming UNHRC sessions is unpredictable. UK has trade relations including arms sales with Sri Lanka. Ergo, Tamils should not pin all their hopes on UK. UK cannot exonerate from its part in the annihilation of Tamils during the 38 year old protracted war with Tamil militants.

and the old master as usual was at the golden temple during the attack and training of Libyan forces before the no fly.
It’s lifelong glue that sticks. Show me one nation that would not exploit another but none. How much one gets exploited depends on stupidity and need.

British tobacco and tea growers introduced Tamils to SL.

If not for them no Tamils in SL.

They should take responsibility. Take back Tamils to Tamil Nadu.

Obviously Jayalalitha is better than MR for Tamils!!!
