Americans and Chinese certainly do make strange bedfellows!
It’s time for Sinhala Buddhist Rip Van Winkles (JHU – the ‘brand new’ Sangha Sammelanaya, foul-mouthed Vimal weerawamsa and Gunadasa Amarasekera et al included) to wake up from their deep slumber and save some of their hate-filled rhetoric to castigate the Chinese and the Americans who are hell bent on destroying and desecrating world’s Buddhist Heritage….
Although the country and the Maha Sangha know very well that Omalpe Hamuduruwo’s, Ratana Hamuduruwo’s and Champika’s laughable and exaggerated claims that JHU is a country-wide ‘balavegaya’ to reckon with is only a myth, it would be interesting to see how these pseudo nationalist hordes will react in this instance…
Will these self seeking hypocrites organize country-wide rallies to denounce China and the USA or will they instead give priority to dealing with the non-issue of “Palath Sabha” – their latest hobbyhorse – to save their own government jobs??? Or, will they just keep mum as if nothing has happened????
