The Matara Additional Magistrate has ruled against the anti-Ranil protest march from Dondra to Colombo saying it was illegal based on a complaint made by the police.

At least seven people including a UNP Provincial Councillor was injured in gunfire when the protests turned unruly. Guneratne’s father Herman Guneratne,a close associate of President Mahinda Rajapaksa was arrested in connection with the shooting by Matara police.

The Matara Magistrate ordered that the police use force if necessary to disband any attempt to restart the march.

Will Ranil go down in history as the first Opposition leader to
meet with his death at the hands of his own Party men? This is the
worst crisis for the GoP. Sajith or Karu, by no means, are suitable
to lead the major political party in the country destroyed by Ranil
by his chicanery. Full marks to Mahind R. The UNP will come back after
    a few years.

Maithri Gunaratne is carrying the Brief for MR and MR pretending to defend RW gets the Court to disallow the March. See how Herman Gunaratne father of Maithri being arrested for the shooting by the Matara Police who will now be released without being indicted. To begin with how can Maithri Gunaratne organize a UNP March when he has been suspended from the UNP? If this crowd that has gathered is screened by someone who knows them from the area, half of them will be identified as MR supporters.

Now again the Ranil ouster is hyped as MR will have to devolve power to the North very soon after the CHOGM. Then MR will look a Donkey as the same would have resulted from the Peace Accord without all this mayhem and so many Tamil lives would have been saved. RW will have the last laugh anyway.

Bandaiya, I do not think your amudey can cover your testicles as your brain seem to be embedded there. No wonder you have a amuda mindset.

I’m a strong left oriented person. But I had noticed Ranil as a gentleman, good administrator and un corrupted. I would have voted him in next election. I cannot think of a UNP having Sajith as the leeader. Even I do not mind a leadership of Shral or Mitree Why they promote this “halparuwa”.
