Duminda’s Supporters Vow To Bring “Gotabaya Sir” To Get Him Out As Supreme Court Confirms Death Penalty

Supporters of Duminda Silva who gathered outside the Hulstdorp Court Complex this afternoon vowed to bring a new President to ensure the release of their ‘leader’.

The enraged supporters expressed deep frustration as the Supreme Court today confirmed the death sentence imposed on Silva by the High Court over the murder of Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra.

“We will bring Gotabaya Sir to get him out,” the supporters shouted as Silva was taken away in a tinted van to the Welikada Prison.

Some of Silva’s family members were seen crying as the verdict, delivered by a five-judge bench headed by Chief Justice Priyasath Depp, was read out. It was widely speculated that Silva would be released today due to a “political deal” of some sort between Siva’s brother Raynor Silva, the owner of ABC media network, and the leaders of the current government.

With the Supreme Court verdict today, Silva has now exhausted all judicial options of securing release. His only way out of prison, from now onwards, is a Presidential pardon granted at the discretion of the incumbent President.

The former Parliamentarian, who was given a death sentence by the Colombo High Court, seemed unfazed when the verdict was delivered. He stood still and muttered “Kamak nehe ithin” (It doesn’t matter)

First accused in the case, Anura Thushara De Mel, a former Police officer and a bodyguard of Silva, was acquitted of all charges by the Supreme Court.

Others acquitted of charges relating to joint possession of weapons.

    Presidential pardon?

    Presidential pardon for what?

Anyway wasn’t it the President himself who wished to reintroduce the imposition of the death sentence sometime ago?

This alone proves, that Gotler is sitting on the wrong site.

If any pontential leaders, would supporters convicted murderers and drug traffickers, alone that should disqualify them being contesting.

Hope the people would see it that way.

There will be no death penalty awaiting Gothabaya Sir in a 100 years from now.
GS will one day come to power and it will be because of aresholes like you the voter.
On the contrary it will be you arseholes like you who will face the death penalty.
You bloody Sri lankans live in a mucked up world of your own hallucinating from some crude drug taking.
Every five years you arseholes stand in line, vote scum into power and then end up becoming scum yourselves. When you are fed up with the scum you voted into power you vote more scum into power over and over again. It will never end !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It will end only when you scum go into the very graves that the scum you voted into power kick you scum into those graves.
What you guys need is Gothabaya Sir to whip the shit from your unwashed arse so that in the end you will beg for mercy crying ” enough is enough “.
Wonder !! how many arseholes like you are in Sri Lanka, a land so blessed and beautiful and bountiful.
Sorry to say but you arseholes need a Syrian experience to bring you into your senses.

India will progress, Bangladesh will progress and many other asian countries, but you damned Sri Lankans will never ever get to the top.
You all will slide down into the shit buckets that you create.

    “Waiting for Godot”
Wait for GoTa to release war criminals (fake war heroes) rapists, drug dealers, murderers, and unleash absolute terror over the Island of Sinhala Buddhists.
GoTa needs their man power to equip his “White Vans” lying idle in the offing.

GoTa is a born criminal and is hell bent on releasing members of his fraternity,

Have no fear Do-not-remember Duminda. The forward thinking MS pronounced that only drug dealers will be hung. Of course the victim must be poor.
Besides who will dare to be the hangman?

Should we start making a list of criminals, drug dealers and rapists that are waiting for Gota to become president to win freedom?
    We can start here:
    Duminda
    Ganasara

I can say without fear of contradiction that kudu “leader” will not face the death penalty. Gamarala Sillysena and Ranilpaksha will make sure he gets a presidential pardon!

First off, Gotler Sir should renounce his US citizenship to become president or at least a MP. The big question is Uncle Sam wouldn’t let go of their citizens that easily. Why Gotler Sir is undergoing so much misery in SL instead of living peacefully in the USA.. Yes, there are people waiting to catch him in the US. One should keep in mind that
whatever they do it always comes back to them in many folds. At least now they should have some remorse and ask pardon and forgiveness. When they were drunk with power, they never thought about it, and always there is one above us and knows everything. Period.

Sinhala Buddhists should demand that the constitution should be amended giving powers to the Mahanayake’s with the authority to give pardons. I think majority of Sinhala Buddhists would support and I am pretty sure even Cardinal Ranjith will sign off on it.

Priyasath Debb, CJ is going out today. Eva Wanasundera of SLFP is coming tomorrow. Madhya Sir group will come back with another way of contesting this appeal verdict. She will approve this in court. If not, Old King tell New King that if Duminda not coming out then no negotiation. That will work.

” Silva’s family members were seen crying as the verdict Delivered.”

Yes, now Silva family members are crying; earlier Hirunika and mother were crying. When Ranil decided let loose Duminda and not to prosecute Old Royal family, she open asked if Ranil decision was to save Old Royals, who would be saving her and others. Now a SLFP man has taken her to court for interfering in his family matter and she has confessed to the crime. She too would be facing that verdict soon. It is tit for tat both ways.

” Silva’s family members were seen crying as the verdict Delivered.”
Yes now millions widows, children and family members are crying all over Lankawe because a wild beast came and went out of power from 2005-2015. This is only about one family’s plight. There are a million family is waiting to for the same kind of justice be provided for them too. UN and UNHRC have to act soon; act without bias.

Lakshman Bahratha was a thug himself, coming from the downtrodden. He was also a drug dealer as Duminda Silva. Lakshman bahratha had his own underworld and was an ardent fan of CBK. Both MR and Gota feared LB thinking that he will harm both, because he was CBK’s man. Then MR and Gota got Duminda Silva to do their bidding, which Duminda happily accomplished. Duminda soon after the shooting was provided protection by the Rajapaksa duo. They hatched a plan to safeguard DS at the Sri Jayawardenepura Hospital and got a lady doctor to pronounce that DS had been shot in the head and emergency surgery had been performed. Gota hung around SJH for more than six hours that day to cordon DS. After over a month of stay at the SJH with a Court case in progress the Rajapaksas realised keeping DS in the country was risky. One late night MR visited DS at the SJH and in the vee hours of the same day morning, DS was flown out to Singapore. It was only after that the Judge decided to visit the SJH to take a statement from DS, only to find he had left by that time. DS returned after MR consolidated his second term. He acted that he had loss of memory and no sooner he was granted bail, DS made a bee line to temple Trees to see his mentor MR. A thorough examination on his head will reveal whether he had undergone brain surgery or not.

Anti GR people seem to speculate about an unhealthy relationship between GR and DS. Why was DS made an advisor to defense mini then? Is therefore some relationship of wedding Sam type?

I thought Kudu Duminda got knocked out first by Hruniker’ dad or his body guards.

That is what I read in the Colombo media during the Appeal.
And the learned PC apparently proved beyond doubt that it was the case…
    Now this…

Will Hirunikers,’ Dr Ranil’s hand picked National List MP join Dummy Aiiya soon.
Not on the death row mind you..

Wonder what the Penalty is for Kidnapping using Weapons, specially Weapons which the Taxpayers paid for.
And in a Defender which belongs to the Taxpayers..
Hiru and Dummy Aiiyas followers, I don’t think are in the Yahapalana Tax Bracket… Are they?…

      KAS:

      How stupid can you be?

“And the learned PC apparently proved beyond doubt “

This is a criminal case and if it was proved even beyond a REASONABLE DOUBT Duminda would have walked free.

“Wonder what the Penalty is for Kidnapping using Weapons, specially Weapons which the Taxpayers paid for.”
You should be asking this from Gota. He would have researched this very well and got your answer at his finger tips.

      Sumane,
” Wonder what the Penalty is for Kidnapping using Weapons, specially Weapons which the Taxpayers paid for. And in a Defender which belongs to the Taxpayers. “

I don’t think they would go harsher than that they went for the one used the ICRC Defender to kidnap. There is a difference because ICRC leased vehicle paying Dollar; Batalanda discounted the duty for Hiru. We know ICRC has a very good explanation for why it leased a vehicle for Old Royals, instead of paying that money for Mullaithivu Widows. But we haven’t talked to them to find it out.

Bert:why don’t you include the names of Padeniya and his cohorts in the GMOA in this list. If only Dr. Neville Fernando had made Gotabaya the Head of Saitm, the students at Saitm would have been enrolled as doctors by name. See the article in daily mirror Kushan Perera.

I place my bets on the premise that he would have to be in prison for a long time unless he dies in prison, executed or otherwise. I believe in the theory those in power at that time did not want both of them, namely Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra and as well as Duminda Silva. Both of them had ammunition against the big-wigs of the day and the rivalry between them was made use of in engineering the fight. (Wasn’t it a body guard in the employ of the government who opened fire first?) In my belief it was expected that both would die in the fight but one survived. SO even a chap such as the Defense Secretary had to see how well DS was after the injuries compromising his position to give a different impression.

I find this verdict a bit strange.Duminda assaulted premechandra whose bodyguard then shot duminda. Then duminda’s bodyguards opened fire and shot premechandra and his bodyguards. To a layman like me it looks like duminda should be charged for assault and recklessly endangering lives, not for murder or manslaughter. The supreme court should clearly explain the decision .

C.J. Hon.Priyasath Dep has done the honours just a day or two before he retires[Today?].
    Great.Justice has prevailed.
I believe he is a son of a former DIG in the Police of the old days when Law and Order was the order of the day.

This is so hilarious that I am forced to comment. So they put their best foot forward and went before a five judge supreme court panel of judges and got knocked down. So now what aha! GOTA SIR will come no? And then he will pardon no? Where do you get these idiots from? Malli GOTA SIR ta enda ba. Ay thannavada? Oo American puravasiyek. They cannot run for office period. 19th amendment eken Ranil mu wage ayata enda bariwenda wade dunna Malli. Also, America will not rescind US citizen ship especially for a person against whom there are war crimes charges filled in US courts. Even if the charges were not filled the CIA knows who gave the orders to kill civilians. Ane paw Dumiya, GOTA ge ballu weda karanda gihin wechcha wade. No more appeals left.

If I remember correctly, MS wanted the death penalty for drug dealers. With a name like ‘kudu Dumioya’, it’s time the CID investigated Duminda’s drug dealing allegations. If it can be proved, then there is no question if Duminda should be hanged or not. I am against the death penalty on principal but with punks like these, I am willing to make an exception.

If Duminda Aiya is going to be hanged, I request our great cardinal Malcom and Ganasara to be available so that the poor soul can share his last wishes. Even Duminda had his rights (I guess in excess) if not he could not have been to Singapore for health care, be free on bail and visit his buddies MR/GR, Given years of grace period by way of legal hearings (at public cost), had special/ comfy services in cell ……etc….etc.

We the party workers worked hard to bring them in to power and now they don’t need us because of their new found wealth that could buy votes. Truly disgusting to see MR visiting this criminal in hospital after murdering another politician of the same party. It is likes of us who face the voter. This criminal culture of our politicians must end even if we have the help of good foreign governments.
These cruel politicians’ loot will be confiscated when brought to some developed countries where they are on the look out patiently. They will use money laundering and other acts to punish them. They think these bad people are undermining the well being of the people their countries where these politicians come from. One MP expressed his concern when he knew when the SL Prz took 50 persons on a jolly trip to UN.
By the way, this web site is been compromised, so be aware.
