President Maithripala Sirisena revoked the Emergency he imposed after communal unrest broke out in the Kandy District recently. The decision, taken immediately after the President arrived in the island following an official visit to Japan and was communicated by his Sectetary, Austin Fernando.

While it is common knowledge the state of emergency declared by him for ten days from March 6 th automatically ceases to be valid on the 16 th if it is not extended by parliament after the 16 th midnight , and a gazette notification additionally is not necessary to withdraw it , yet the president who is surrounded by buffoons calling themselves secretaries best known for tomfooleries had also not advised him duly. May we recall on the independence day celebrations too he committed an egregious blunder . He did not know how many years ago Sri Lanka received its independence.
The parliament adjourned sittings on the 9 th , and was to meet again on the 20 th. If the emergency regulations imposed on the 06 th by the president was in fact to be extended , that should have been done on the 9 th when the parliament met last . That was by a resolution brought in parliament by the ministry of defense under the president himself , and getting it passed. However nothing of that sort took place.
Though it was the motive of the president by withdrawing the emergency regulation by an unnecessary gazette notification to demonstrate that he is a ‘great Democrat ‘ and score cheap political plus points as usual , in truth his hidden sinister motive was to pave the way for the release of the racists who were arrested in Kandy when the emergency regulations were in force.
Any doubts harbored by anybody in regard to the reports were cleared when the president took Ulapone Sumangala the robed racist scoundrel together with Gnanassara the rascally monk who is behind all the racial violence to Japan

Revoking the emergency is good news for people who wish to be governed by the normal law. What amazes me is the notification itself. Never have I seen notification where it is signed by a person other than the person named in the Gazette itself. If it were to start with “I, Maithripala Sirisena …….” then it should signed by the President himself, as he has done before. (To be precise it should have started with “I, Pallewatte Gamaralalage Maithripala Sirisena,…….). Alternatively if Austin Fernando were to sign it must start with very correctly as “I, Kalupage Austin Fernando, Secretary to the President, being commanded by His Excellency the President, do hereby notify that proclamation issued by His Excellency the President ……….is hereby revoked with immediate effect by His Excellency the President.”. I do not expect the Secretary to the President to dot the i and cross the t of every document that comes before him although in theory he is expected to check on everything before he places his signature. But someone senior should have detected the flaw. I am made to understand that the Secretariat is full of staff officers who are not conversant with basics of public service. Better polish the top office to be in top gear, otherwise how one could expect it to be the nerve center of Sri Lanka?

MIG deal was done in the name of liberating the country from LTTE who helped him to ascend to power (He repeated what Vijaya did to Kuveni); SLMM was sent back. Then he won the war and plunged the country into chaos. Now New King have done all what Old King did, including putting the war crime investigation’s handle, which once Yahapalanaya had taken away from UNHRC, back in the hand of UNHRC. He had remained as the Trojan horse in Yahapalanaya and now has unleashed his terror on all, UNP and SLFP.
The cat has been drinking the milk in Lankawe, closing the eyes thinking world would not see it. But when he met PM Modi, he found the mistake on that.

He thought if he lose it will only be LG, but the IC could be shown the Sinhala Racism’s resolve and thus they will be stopped nagging him to implement the Resolution 30/1. He had a very successful year of 2017 on the preparation for this until unexpectedly at the end of the year the Palestine issue forced America to withdraw the GSP+. That was the result of Ranil, who had become too arrogant by an overly successful year, kicking on the back of the American Ambassador, when he met Ranil to explain their position on Jerusalem Embassy. To compensate that loss, that time Ranil planned to go to India and ask for the Indian GSP+. But again the unexpected happened in LG. He refused to counter the extensive divisive campaign Old Royals were carrying in LG election. Tamils (TNA) disappointedly watching their only political hope, the Secret Solution, falling into racial fire and burning. So the Old Royals won the election, using Ranil’s’ purposeful silent support to them, by not countering Old Royals’ campaign. It gave an opportunity to New King to shoot his arrow on Ranil’s’ head. This was the third biggest challenge in three months for Ranil. Slap Party celebrated victory, as usual, with pogrom against minorities. Now, the Ranil’s one yearlong effort to create “Pillaiyar” statue has delivered a “Monkey” . Ranil’s idea to use LG election against IC in the 37th sitting of UNHRC has back fired and destroyed all his preparation on that. This time, he has not prepared an entourage to UNHRC to defend Lankawe until Yesterday. PM Modi, who was looking for Ranil go there and start to negotiate for the Indian GSP+, saw only New King.

The ETCA, which has hung through four or five administrational terms, still has not been passed in Lankawe. Yet Modi had said that he has some understating of Lankawe PM, Ranil. We can see the meaning of it only after Ranil has negotiated the Indian GSP+ with PM Modi.
Now things in India are changed. Mr. Modi expected Ranil to go there to negotiate for the Indian GSP+. But Only New King went. Unlike Ex Pm Manmohan Singh, Modi, whether it is better or worse, openly had shown his displeasure with New King. This change that took place in India had brought the change in Lankawe too.
The Emergency regulation that was placed in to curb the riots too back fired, like Ranil’s Political decision of non- campaigning against Old Royals in LG. New King had his Appa feast with PM Modi in India. Then he went to Japan and there, too he had his dessert. Japan sounded like has its skeptic feeling on New Kings Appa Diplomacy talks. Enough was enough. But in Lankawe, the Defense Department has recommended to extent the Emergency to complete their investigation on riots to PM (Ranil). But without listening to that New King has retrieved the Emergency. Even this change could be is only within the scope of cheating UNHRC on its sitting 37. We only can say anything firm on that only after seeing tomorrow and Wednesday’s meeting about Lankawe’s progress in implementing the resolution 30/1.

Jaffna Muslim reports that Muslims are very disappointed that minister Faizer Musthafa is a member of the SL delegation to UNHRC where they are expected to say that everything is normal in Sri Lanka, and plead to further postpone action under the 2015 motion passed unanimously by the UNHRC.
